This is a great mattress that I sleep on when my parents come ...
May 25, 2017
This is a great mattress that I sleep on when my parents come to visit. I have the queen size which I think makes a big difference. This inflates in about 2 minutes and is very firm. By the time I wake up in the morning, it has deflated a little bit but is very very comfortable and easy to store. Great alternative if you don't have a spare bed. Takes 2 minutes to deflate. Just plug it in and flip the switch. Very easy to use. Highly recommend.
Great quality airbed.
November 25, 2015
I've had other airbeds, both the temporary "guest bed" style and even an expensive, sleep every night style, so I have some context to review this product. The SoundAsleep seems to be of good quality for an air mattress, and quite comfortable to sleep on. As other reviews have said, it takes a few nights to stretch out the material on initial fill. I haven't had to adjust mine since the 3rd night, and I've had it for a few weeks. I am sleeping on it nightly for now, and will probably do so for a number of months. The air pump worked fine, and I like the way it is "inside" the mattress, out of the way.One thing I was concerned about was if the bedding would stay put, as I tend to toss around and often have had beds that don't hold the sheets. This has not been an issue at all with the SoundAsleep bed. The material of the bed sides is somewhat slippery vinyl, and I had to wrestle with my fitted mattress pad to get it to go on, but once the bed was made, all the fitted bedding stayed put. With this bed set up on the floor, it is a little lower than a standard bed would be on a bed frame, so just be aware of that. It is much higher than the other style of airbeds that are only about 6-8" thick. This makes it ok to have on the floor, just don't expect it to be the same height as a real bed.Otherwise, I love this bed. Very comfortable to sleep on. Not noise (as some air beds are), and I don't toss and turn at night. I wake up rested without any aches or pains associated with some cheap beds. Also, it's not hot to sleep on, as some foam mattresses are.I'm giving it 5 stars because it's a quality product and performs as advertised, and is far above the average air mattresses on the market.UPDATE SEPT 21 2017: After about 7 months, it began to leak, probably through the pump somplace. I returned it to manufacturer, and the gladly repaired it and returned it to me. Very happy with their customer service.
Buy it!!

My husband and I recently moved from NY to MD, and we knew we were going to need an air mattress once the movers packed up our regular mattress. We have a Sleep Number bed, and it's extremely comfortable and we both love it, and I was certain I was going to have problems with any air mattress we purchased because it wouldn't be our usual nice, fancy bed. This air mattress was the next best thing, seriously! We bought a fluffy mattress cover for it, based on some people's recommendations in reviews, if you're sensitive to the feel of the grooves in the top of the air mattress. I think it would have been perfectly fine without the mattress topper, however. I had no problems sleeping on this AT ALL. It's nice and high, so you don't feel like you're sleeping on the floor. When you get out of bed, you don't end up disrupting the other person as much as you would with a cheaper air mattress. It's so easy to inflate/deflate, and yes, as per all the other reviews, if you deflate it correctly, it really does fit back in the bag it came in. Not as perfectly, obviously, but it still fits and you don't have to force it. I thought that the reviews for this product might be too good to be true, but seriously, don't debate it and just buy this. It's wonderful. The customer support from the company, which we didn't have to use because we had no problems, seems wonderful. They emailed us after we purchased the product to make sure we were satisfied. They actually seem to care about how the consumer feels about their product. Definitely a full, 5 star product. Fantastic!
Better than well known brands
February 11, 2014
I chose this air mattress over an aero or Coleman or other big brand name because the reviews were far better. I totally agree with the other reviewers. Absolutely wonderful product.I ordered a queen to have for guests now that a nursery is where the guest bedroom used to be.It inflates quite fast considering how tall it is. You definitely can't sink and hit your butt or back on the floor, also because it is nice and tall. I like the ridge all the way around so it holds pillows and bedding in place and doesn't slip off a sloped edge. And I like that the ridge goes all the way around, not just a one side headboard like some have because sometimes where the outlet is doesn't permit bed positioning the way you would prefer and the one side headboard may end up at your feet on those others. The velvety top is great to hold sheets in place too.Inflating or deflating is simple while youre still laying on it so you can adjust firmness to your preference. Also something my husband pointed out... Because it has the air coils inside instead of the regular big air filled area, even if you deflate it a little for a softer mattress, two people don't roll into the middle towards eachother. It is individual area softness. When we unpacked it to try it the first time, I joked that I'd never get it packed as tight as the way it came in the provided travel bag and packing box. To my surprise it does! The deflate setting actually sucks the air back out until it is completely flattened, instead of just wooshing air out a hole and you have to smush the rest out with your bodyweight to try and roll it all out. I have never seen one that did that before and it deflates very quickly too so if you used it at a hotel and had to pack it back up in the morning and can't wait around for all the air to slowly drift out, this is great.I'm so glad I paid a little extra to get a nice one like this, and also glad I didn't spend twice as much for an aero that is not even as nice of a product. I know our guests will be very happy as well, it's like sleeping on a real bed!
Extremely comfortable and smart looking air mattress at an unbeatable price!
October 24, 2013
This was a big purchase for me and my review is pretty thorough:PACKAGING: The air mattress with built-in pump arrived well packaged in a large, sturdy, cardboard box with the company logo. As the air mattress itself is heavy I appreciated the durable cardboard support and inner cardboard lining which preventing me from slicing into the mattresses when opening the package. I have made that mistake in the past.TOP UP: All air mattresses stretch over the initial few inflations. My first night with the product I feel as though the PVC stretched slightly, but not nearly as much as other brands I have used in the past - perhaps 5% at most. Nonetheless, the first night I needed a small top-off from the built-in pump for about 10 seconds to get back to my desired firmness.MOTOR: This air mattress with the built-in pump is very user friendly compared to other models I have used over the years. The electric cord plugs into any standard wall unit and inflates quickly. I have timed the inflation at exactly 4 minutes. I tested this inflation over 4 separate cycles, and each one reached my firmness level in the same time. I have slept on other brands (Intex) that inflate in 3 minutes but that brand continuously leaks air over the course of the night. The Soundasleep motor is foolproof in its simplicity. A clockwise turn inflates the mattress and a counterclockwise turn deflates the mattress. They claim the motor is quieter than other brands. While this may be true, the motor still generates a moderate amount of noise when inflating, comparable, yet slightly quieter than a vacuum.CONSTRUCTION: The manufacturer describes the mattress as standard queen sized, and after using my trusty measuring tape, I found this to be accurate." The top of the mattress has an extra layer of material which has a micro fiber feel. Standard queen sized sheets fit on the mattress decently well, although after continued use I noticed them starting to fall off. The 40 coil air beam construction adds smooth and comfortable support. These are not real coils like a traditional mattress but the points in the mattress where the material is welded together. The air mattress remained very flat all night without any bulging or sinking in particular areas.COMFORT: This mattress has now been slept on 4 times - twice alone until my traditional mattress was delivered, once with my wife, and once by a friend. The mattress exceeded my comfort expectations. The 19-inch height made it feel like I was sleeping on a traditional box spring bed, rather than an air mattress on the floor. The mattress top added softness and made it much more comfortable to sleep on throughout the night. While sleeping alone, the mattress dropped very marginally towards the middle but it was not severe at all like I have experienced with other brands. While sleeping with my wife on the mattress it remained really firm through the night. The mattress is made for both single sleepers and couples. The max weight is 500 pounds. My wife and I top out at 300 pounds and felt like it could have easily supported twice as much weight.CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Soundasleep offers a full year guarantee. I have not had a chance to use the customer support but will update this review if/when I do attempt to contact the company.PRICE: The air mattress sells for a little over one hundred dollars which is over $75 cheaper than much lower quality products in the big box stores. I saw a Queen sized air mattress in Bed Bath for $250 and couldn't believe the price tag. I do not understand how Soundasleep is making money on such an excellent product at this price point, but their loss is our gain.WHO COULD USE THIS: Anyone who is tired of going to Target, Sears, Bed Bath or Kmart and spending a lot of money on an inferior product. This air mattress is queen sized so it would likely not work for you if you are space constrained and have a small apartment. If you have the room for a queen, then this mattress is the best there is. It works well with singles as well as couples and probably even pets. It is clearly designed for indoor home use and not for camping. If you are looking for a camping mattress there are a number of other products better suited specifically for this activity.BOTTOM LINE: This mattress is a no brainer for someone looking for a quality product. There might be slightly cheaper air mattresses out there but I have bought those in the past and always been disappointed. The Soundasleep Dream Series with ComfortCoil technology is a keeper. I highly recommend it!
Solid product. Excellent customer service

****Update - April 2015 ****This mattress is still holding up very well. I no longer use it as frequently as when I first received the mattress but when guests come to stay over I take it out of the storage bag and blow it up without a problem. I am still quite pleased with the purchase.****I got my Soundasleep air mattress last week. Given my living situation in the past year I have been using air beds quite a bit and have had (unfortunately) more than a few models. So far I have been pretty impressed with this one.The first night I slept on it was great. The mattress blew up very quickly (you just flip the switch and it automatically starts inflating – no valves to open or close). The bed is the right height for me and has a nice soft top to it. I put some sheets on it and slept like a dream.I did notice that the mattress seemed to lose a small amount of air over the course of the second night. I thought there might be a leak in the product and reached out to customer support via their website. Having owned my fair share of air mattresses over the years my experience with these companies is that they do not want to be bothered after a sale – basically you are on your own after purchase.I got a support rep on my first call after only a couple minutes, and she seemed eager to help me. The rep said that the mattresses are made from PVC, a plastic material that naturally stretches, and that stretching was normal during the first couple of uses (evidently SoundAsleep does something during production to minimize this stretching). The rep suggested that this natural stretching was likely the cause and that I should deflate the mattress fully, reinflate one more time and then try it for one more night. She seemed very certain that would solve the issue and the mattress would remain firm once it was fully stretched out. She even offered to follow up with me in a few days to make sure everything was working normally. The prompt and helpful support was refreshing and a nice change from the normal customer support these days.I followed her advice and the mattress did stay very firm the following evening. I followed up with an email letting her know it worked as suggested and within 15 minutes the same rep responded that she was happy to help out.As a Prime member, and frequent Amazon user, I am a huge fan of outstanding customer service. The fact that the rep was so thorough really made me feel good about the purchase. I’ll definitely update this review in the future but I am sold on this product today and would recommend it to friends and family.

So far, so good!
July 21, 2017
I've only had the mattress a short while but it does seem to be working well. It is made of plastic and may give me problems in the future but for this short time of ownership, I am very satisfied with the construction and craftsmanship. I love the fact that there is a built in electric air pump. It took a very short well to inflate and it is conveniently located at the end of the bed making it easy to hide once the mattress is inflated.
I can't say enough good things about this air bed
April 20, 2017
I can't say enough good things about this air bed. I purchased it for a bedroom that I really don't use for occasional guest. Everyone who has used it raved about what a good nights sleep they got. It's very large Queen size and high off the floor which is just what I wanted. I had a prior air mattress that I paid twice as much for that got a really large rip so I brought this one as a replacement. This one is so much better. I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone.
I don't think I would ever recommend a bed like this for an extremely long period
December 13, 2016
We had a crowd for Thanksgiving and needed an extra bed. My husband and I slept on this for two nights. It never leaked and stayed just as firm as we wanted. I would suggest a thick blanket or a mattress cover to put a barrier between you and the rubber-like bed.The second night we did this and it made a difference. Our granddaughters played on this during the day, and it held up perfectly.I don't think I would ever recommend a bed like this for an extremely long period, but for those times we need an extra bed, this was great. The price was excellent. Follow the easy directions, and you won't have air escaping issues. It was a nice level, no extra bending, a very nice height. Now we are ready for visitors whenever they come. Thank you.
Looking for the best air mattress out there??? Welp congrats! You have found it!
August 14, 2016
I ended up getting two of these! These are sooooo comfy! It's difficult to remember you're laying on an air mattress. This mattress is very supportive yet soft. I slept like a baby every night and I'm a picky sleeper! The built in pump is genius! It's a breeze to set up and take down. The pump does all of the work both ways, it puts the air in, you slightly turn the little ring and then it will suck the air out for you as well! It blows up fast and comes down fast as well! LOVE IT! Just remember to add air into every night right before laying down to get the best comfort.
A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP..
September 2, 2015
I was so excited to get this in time to go to camp and delivery was super fast .. It fills up quickly and the pump has reverse on it to suck all the air out again. Because all the air is sucked out, it is way easier to fold and store in the handy carry bag. This mattress is 22" from floor to the top of the mattress and that made getting up and out of the bed amazingly simple. I loved that feature. Sheets stayed in place nicely and most of all, it was comfortable. My next purchase will be the king size as my sweetie and I enjoy the extra space a king size affords. The other good thing about this mattress was the price. Around $54 as I recall and worth every penny. Intex makes a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a comfortable place to sleep.
BRILLIANT! FANTASTIC! SUPERB!
May 2, 2015
FANTASTIC! I would rate this item as one of the best products I have ever bought! We opted to buy an airbed for our spare room after my daughter rated the (new) futon we had in there was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. The Intex Comfort Plush Elevated Dura-Beam Airbed is PERFECT! We have already had another guest staying with us who was the first to use it and after her 10 day stay she gave it two thumbs up.It was easy and quick to inflate. VERY comfortable and the best part was the price - $55! Where can you buy a Queen Bed for that price? my final words are; if you are thinking of buying an airbed you can't go wrong buying this one. We LOVE ours!

Happy we bought this air mattress
July 5, 2017
I used this for guests for 2 nights in a recently finished basement because our furniture hadn't arrived yet. Guests said it was comfortable. Only thing that would make it better is some sort of additional padding (or mattress topper) on the top, but I don't think any of the air mattresses come with this.. It was cold to sleep on (we put a sleeping bag on it under the sheet and that worked well). We kept the mattress inflated and it's retained the air for about a month now. It still seems as good as the first day. If you need a mattress infrequently for guests, I would definitely recommend, only I would also buy a mattress topper or put something on the top for a little padding and insulation.
Mostly satisfied but..
June 16, 2017
These are nice and comfortable but if you use it every day after about 4-5 months you will be hitting the pump switch to add air. They seem to leak the older they get. I was using it while remodeling my new home and wanted to not buy a bedroom set until I was finished so I figured an air-mattress would suffice. This is a nice bed, but I did notice it going down after about 4-5 months. Maybe it stretches out at the seams? I am 190, not heavy. If you use it now and then, its probably not going to be an issue but for an everyday bed, maybe not. The height is great and makes it easy to get in and out of it.
Worth the Price
March 21, 2017
I have enjoyed the mattress. It stays very firm/inflated for long periods of time, although I top off for 30 seconds each night when I use it for multiple days in a row. Like almost every air mattress I've used, however, you cannot simply put a sheet on the mattress. You have to include a warmer comforter underneath (at least in New England in March). The air inside makes the mattress sort of cold. Otherwise, the mattress is everything it says it should be. I wish there was a release valve, just in case I over inflate. I don't want to pop it. (Maybe it does, but I'm not going to try it out . . . . )
I'd CERTAINLY recommend this over other queen size ones where the reviews are scary.
April 6, 2016
Very good. Inflates decently quickly, and the 'deflate' feature is nice. Going to knock it a point because it simply is not going to get near as firm as some people like (not me) as well as concerns for reliability. I did use mine far longer than I wanted to in a temp situation (a month) and for -mine- I did not see any signs of potential trouble. I did buy the best patch kit available for it, however, but didn't prove to need it at this time, so that's another 10 bucks or whatever just for insurance. I'd CERTAINLY recommend this over other queen size ones where the reviews are scary.
Good sturdy mattress
December 2, 2015
The mattress seems like all it's advertised to be. Comes in a nice carry/storage bag, seems sturdy, and set-up is super easy. It inflates nicely and holds its air well through the night. My fitted bottom sheet worked nicely, too, as did the mattress pad I put underneath the sheet. The mattress also has a "deflate" feature, which is almost its best feature. No squeezing and folding to get all that air out, and no leftover trapped air to make packing it away more difficult. Two reasons I didn't give the mattress five stars are (1) it's quite hard when fully inflated (some people love that, but it doesn't really "give" at all for those who like a more cushiony bed), and (2) because it's up off the ground and there's so much air between the sleeper and the floor, it makes the mattress feel quite chilly, especially in the winter if the room is cold at all. That last part is fine for the summer, when a cool surface would be a plus, but not so much in the winter. I opted to get a mattress pad, which did help a lot, at least with the chill factor. All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase.
I would like to give this 5 stars
October 5, 2014
I would like to give this 5 stars, as I feel this bed was an excellent choice for my needs. It inflated and deflated quickly as stated, and packed away with no problem. I had an upcoming visit from a relative, so I decided to sleep on it myself before that visit, and found it to be extremely comfortable and the height was very nice. However, I subtracted a star because I did have to use an existing 2" memory foam topper, as sleeping on the divots and ridges would have been uncomfortable. I would highly recommend some type of topper or thick mattress pad, and this will not shift around because the air mattress has flocking on the top. Also--a fitted sheet will not fit down around the base of this mattress because of the height...again, I covered only the topper with a fitted sheet (folded it underneath), and made up the rest of the bed as normal. My guest has an Aerobed, and as we looked it over, she was more impressed with this product than the Aerobed. Both nights that she stayed, she commented on how comfortable it was and she slept very well on it.

Good air mattress for home or for camping
September 4, 2017
Good air mattress for home or for camping. Can fit two adults comfortably. It's completely firm. Holds air throughout the night. The only issue we have with this product is although the mattress has a soft top it tends to get cold during the night. Cold in a way that removes your natural body heat and you begin to freeze. Any family member or friend who used this mattress experienced the same problem. However, we solved this issue by placing 3 thin quilt blankets below the sheet.
Comfortable
September 1, 2017
I like the comfort of this bed but I wish it had the option to constantly add air as needed like my old one did. I am a travel nurse and this is my main bed. As long as I keep the air full in this bed my back feels great in the morning. It is very cold to lie on however, I have 3 blankets on it to keep the cold away. I have to add air to it every 3 days I would estimate, not much but just enough to make it a hassle.
It is a good quality air bed
June 11, 2017
I'd say go for it. It is a good quality air bed. Be advised that you cannot really make it softer by simply deflating it. It is just firm with less air. It is a firm air bed, but is worth the money of you need a temporary bed. I have had it set up for a week now and it has not leaked, which is impressive. My dog had jumped up on there a few times and has not punctured it. All in all, I recommend it. I am not giving it 5 stars simply because I haven't anything else to compare it to.
Squashed but Hopeful in San Diego
August 8, 2016
I like this air mattress a lot, but with a caveat. We bought it because we recently moved to San Diego and, surprise surprise, all of a sudden everyone wants to visit us! (Can't blame them.)First, we had a couple sleep on the mattress for one night for its inaugural test, and they reported great comfort and no deflation. Fantastic! Second, one friend stayed two nights, with the same report--no deflation, very comfortable.Third, my husband's sister stayed with us for two nights, and after the first night, said she woke up in a mattress burrito, so moved to the couch. My husband had inflated the mattress this time, so I reminded him that to check that the knob was securely locked on the "inflate" side. He said he had done so, but said I should try doing it the second night since I'd had three successful inflations under my belt at this point. I did it that second night and she still ended up in a "mattress hammock" as she so kindly put it. What a bummer! After she left, we inflated it again and left it in the living room to see what happened. It seemed to hold its shape, but once we lay on it and watched some TV, we noticed it starting to deflate, and we tried our darndest to identify where the leak was coming from, but had no luck. No noise of air escaping (although we must have looked really odd crawling around the mattress with our ears to the vinyl), no feeling of air rushing out, so we couldn't patch the leak, either. We have guests coming this weekend and again in another few weeks, which really sad as the air mattress only lasted a total of three nights. Since I really, really like this mattress when it works correctly, I'm going to cross my fingers that it was defective, and order a new one (I didn't keep the packaging after the first successful usage because I figured we were good to go!) and if it eats my money again, then I'm going to have to return it (keeping the packaging this time!!) and take my business elsewhere. But let it not be said that I give up easily.
Comfortable and easy to install but has to be pmped every 2-3 days
January 22, 2016
We ordered this as a makeshift arrangement for 2-3 days till our permanent mattress came in. And had planned to give it away to someone after use. We didn't want it for longer coz were scared that air bed might give us a backache. My husband is a stomach sleeper and I a back n side sleeper.Once opened, it takes around 5-7 minutes to properly inflate to its full capacity. Unexpectedly, this bed was so comfortable that we ended up sleeping on it for 3 weeks. We didnt open the other mattress and due to the comfort, we were in no hurry and hence the 3 days stretched to 3 weeks.I took one star away coz it loses its air and has to be refilled every 2-3 days depending on the use. And if you doesn't inflate again, one can get bodyache. So as long as the air is in, you will stay comfortable.Deflating it was also easy. And we have decided to keep it for any guests who might drop in. This is easy to store and install/ uninstall when needed. Happy with the product.Packaging was also good.
A great air mattress but you have to read fully the instructions.
May 30, 2015
Based on many of the reviews, I was hesitant to buy this product. It was either loved or hated. Many claimed it leaked air during the night. But I liked the built in pump and the height off the ground, important for an elderly couple. We have slept on it for two nights so we don't have a long term report to make. But I found as the air mattress engineer of the family I found it compact and I like the storage pouch that came with it for travel or storage. The pump filled the mattress quickly and was easy to adjust the inflation. I filled it at first and then let it settle out. Then once it had stretched out and all chambers filled, I pumped it up to the firm mattress we like for our backs. The first night we did find that it leaked air getting more like a water bed. Not good. But I had myself to blame, not the product. I had not fully read the instructions. The mattress and pump has a knob that changes the direction of the pump. One way for filling and the other way for pump all the air out so that it becomes completely flat for easy folding and storage in the supplied pouch. If that knob is not either all the way one way or the other, it can let some air leak out. But if firmly to the right (clockwise) for filling, then we found the second night that the mattress did not leak at all and stayed fully inflated until I pumped the air out for storage. A standard Queen fitted sheet fits perfectly. At a full inflation, one sleeper did not wake up the other when getting out of bed for a toilet visit during the night. Better than many standard beds. With additional uses, I may well bump the rating up to 5 star if it continues to perform as it seemed to on the two nights we used it.

Just OK and make sure you use a mattress topper and you'll be ok for occasional guests
September 21, 2017
So far, it seems OK. The top isn't flat because of all those "Air Springs" they are talking about so I'd put a one inch mattress topper on this and then a fitted sheet. No way I am comfortable on this without at least a one inch topper. Also, instructions aren't very good. How do I know how much to inflate it WITHOUT over inflating? It does have an auty shut off if the motor overheats but so what?
Does deflate during the night :(
October 7, 2016
For the price I paid, I was in hopes that it would stay mostly inflated during my sleeping hours. However, it does tend to lose air through the night and can make sleeping uncomfortable. I have used this for 3 weeks and still no difference in air loss. It does blow up quickly however and there is a feature to deflate it quickly as well. The storage bag it comes with gives enough room to put it in the bag without fighting it. The top seude part is nice and the thickness of this mattress is also good.
Slow leak
August 11, 2016
I have been using the mattress while sleeping at family's. I loved the mattress the first night. The second night seemed to have leaked out enough air that when I got out of bed in the middle of the night to use the facilities, as I sat on the bed my side was considerable close to the floor and upon returning and re entering the bed, I almost sent my fiancé catapulting in the air. If they can make it so no air leaks out it would be a great improvement.
Could be better.
May 6, 2016
Much better than sleeping on the floor. Just as others commented, this is much smaller than a queen size. The edges need more support, my wife and I found it very hard to get in and out of the bed. If you inflate it to the point that it is rock hard it makes it easier to get on and off and if you deflate it to where it is comfortable every movement reminds you of a full wave waterbed.. We were hoping that this could be a short term solution until we decided on a permanent mattress but we gave up using it after four nights.
Could be better
March 13, 2016
I have owned two of these so far. My first was defective but the sound asleep team were so courteous and thoughtful they replaced it for me hassle-free.Compared to other airbeds I have owned, this one is really comfortable but takes a lot longer to expand and reach it's true size. It feels and looks like a full size at first but take my word on this... it does get big enough to be considered a queen. The built in pump makes it really easy to inflate and deflate this thing as needed. It takes roughly five minutes so you have time to go do a quick task assuming you do not forget about it. The cord for the plug which is rather short in my opinion can be easily folded and stored in the handy little compartment near the pump. I have one issue with this however and it is that the compartment has no door. I often find the cord on the floor right above the mattress. I fear the day when I realize I am sinking in only to find the prongs of the cord have punctured the mattress.Once the mattress has been fully inflated it is quite comfortable to sleep on. However as with a normal bed I also like to sit at the foot of the bed which is where another problem arises. Even when topped off on air one will sink down when sitting at the edge of this mattress. As mentioned above I have owned several air beds and this has not been an issue so i find it to detract from the overall comfort of the soundasleep bed. Even worse it also causes the opposite end of the bed to lift up. At 150lb I cannot imagine my weight being the cause of this.In case of rips or holes the mattress comes with two patches. My first one had some that looked like the clothlike surface of the mattress but came with no type of adhesive (something I failed to realize until 3am when I needed them most). The second mattress came with 2 patches clear in color that worked like a sticker and didn't require any glue. Not quite sure what determines the type of patch you get but rest assured I keep a bottle of super glue handy now.I can't say the price is reflective of the quality on this one.
Replaced a really great aerobed (about 10 years of use)
November 4, 2015
Had this now for several months. Replaced a really great aerobed (about 10 years of use). Was excited by the reviews etc but this really doesn't compare in terms of sleep comfort and overall experience to the aerobed deluxe. 3 stars because you can sleep on it. minus 1 star because the motor is really loud, which is significant when putting up the bed while kids or others are sleeping in adjacent rooms. You also need to use the motor to deflate which means 2x the noise. It is a large bed so takes a little while to firm up too. Minus another star because it does loose some air over night--not a lot, but the aerobed would stay solid for many nights in a row without top off, and this would require it every day, if not a little during the night. It is an OK value, and priced well below a replacement aerobed so I'm satisfied enough not to complain about the product but cannot recommend.

This one is more comfortable, but the air moves around like the water ...
September 22, 2017
I've had various air mattresses over the years, all of them feeling incredibly uncomfortable. This one is more comfortable, but the air moves around like the water in a waterbed. My husband and I couldn't sleep very well because of these. We adjust the amount of air in it to try and make it more comfortable, but nothing helped. Thankfully we only needed to use it for three nights while waiting for our furniture to be delivered.
Was singing this air mattresses praises until...
August 13, 2017
Was singing this air mattress's praises until out of no where it started losing air pressure. I was so happy with this bed for the first 45 days but it hasn't been a full 2 months yet and the bed loses air. I literally have to wake in the middle of the night to re inflate which is disruptive to my sleep & I'm sure my neighbor's as well when I turn the pump on. There has been no puncture or anything heavy on the bed to explain why this is happening. I use the bed at most 5hrs a nite during a 5 day work week. The bed until the last 3 weeks was perfect as it is the same height as a standard bed on a box spring and frame. It does require deep pocket King size sheets to fit the thickness of the queen mattress. Not sure how long air mattresses should last but I still think it was a good purchase vs the uncomfortable futon option I was using before.
but it quickly disappointed. The first night we used it
April 25, 2017
I was so excited about this purchase, but it quickly disappointed. The first night we used it, it was ok, it deflated a little bit, but wasn't really that big of a deal. The second night we used it it completely folded in in the middle of the night, and we couldn't sleep on it. Now this could be because the house we stayed at they had a cat so it could have scratched it, but not too sure. I returned it anyway and got my money back.Worth it to buy, just don't use it around a cat!
Depends on how much you use it
March 5, 2017
I have had this air matress for a couple of months now. It came at the beginning of December. I liked it because it had an automatic pump, and was high off the ground. Only complaint at first was that it didn't seem to hold air for very long. That seemed to get better with a couple of uses. Just yesterday i started to hear a whistle that sounded like air leaking and sure enough, there was a leak in the seam of the mattress... VERY hard to patch. I ended up going to Walmart and getting a bike tire patch. I am hoping that this works. This bed has done it's job until now, I was just hoping it would be sturdier. If this does not work I will be buying a roll away.
Good value for the money
December 19, 2016
Good value for the money, but trying to be the height of a regular bed causes two problems: No way to tuck in top sheet and blankets, and a far bigger problem, that's a lot of cold air to try to heat up with your body. I was cold and stiff trying to sleep on it and if I use it again I'll have to figure out a major insulative layer...but what to use? Maybe okay when I need an extra bed when guest come IN THE SUMMER and IN A FAR WARMER MORE HUMID CLIMATE. I had slept on one at a cousin's apartment in NYC on an August night and thought it fine, but the human body cannot heat this volume of air space.
Great buy! Guests loved it! Easy set up, love the attached pump.
October 12, 2016
UPDATED: 01/02/2017One of the inflatables does not hold up air anymore. I searched through and through for a whole but could not find any. It just won't stay up overnight and had to pump air into it every so often. A big disappointment as we have been very careful at using this, and only used it a few times.I was anxious ordering an airmattress online. I was also considering a more expensive airmattress at amazon before buying this one. I am so glad I bought this. It worked like a charm. Bought two queens for relatives who were staying over for two nights. This mattress stayed firm and did not deflated overnight. Love that the pump is included and the plug has it's own slot for you to tuck it in when done finlating the bed. Inflating and deflating has been so much easier than two other air mattresses we have owned. My husband who did not want to buy another air mattress again has been convinced that this one is an exception. He liked them and was glad I bought them too. The mattress look big once inflated, but it's actually just right once you set everything up (sheets and all). One of the mattresses held up pretty good even with a tempurpedic memory foam mattress on top (that weighed pretty heavy) . Our guests appreciated that it's raised, one of our guest had a bad knee and the height was just right for getting up without effort. It did not go floppy two nights straight. Deflating it was no problem, it did not take long. The bag fit the mattress just fine. It did not break or tear. You just need to follow the instruction on how to fold the mattress properly to fit in the bag. Overall, great buy for the price!! I'm glad that for the price of the other mattress I was considering, I was able to buy two of these instead. I am considering of buying another one for our guests' kids to keep everything at the same height.UPDATE:I just set them up again for incoming guests. I inflated one of the Intex queen sized mattresses and the lower navy colored one I got from Kmart in 2013 ( it's intext too but the cheaper one reference -https://amzn.com/B000HBILB2 ).I cannot tell you enough how much easier the process of inflating and setting up the Intex over the blue one from Kmart. The blue one from Kmart had a separate electric pump. I forgot how annoying, loud, and SLOW it was until after I inflated this. The Intext was so easy, it wasn't too loud. The Intex airmatress - you plug it in, turn it on and it inflates on it's own in less than five minutes. It's much higher than the Kmart one and the quality of the mattress is far superior than the one I got from Kmart. The entire matress has this velvety/felt all over it's body. Unlike the Kmart one where the body is literally plastic. It really makes you feel like you are sleeping not only on an air mattress, but you are sleeping on one of those floaties you used on the swimming pool. The Intex however, is firm, sturdy and higher. It almost doesn't feel like an airmattress. It holds air pretty good. Atleast the ones that I got. The Kmart one is not holding air as good as the Intex. In some of the photos, I am showing how you can take this airmattress up a notch with comfort and it is holding up pretty good. Padded mattress protector on, bed sheets, nice fluffy comforter, great pillows, extra soft throw and it makes a huge difference being that you are having your guests sleep on an air mattress.I would have added a matress topper, but I live in an apartment, and this is a temporary situation - I don't have room to keep a mattress topper so I opted for a quilted mattress protector which added some softness on top of the mattress.Great solution and great buy for incoming guests!!

I wish I had a better experience
September 3, 2017
I purchased this bed at the beginning of June and used it the first time on July 21st. It worked fine, at first, then about a week ago it would not inflate when turned on. When it did turn on, it started losing air. I figured, what the heck, it'll be ok. I love it it away and it worked a few days later. Now here's my other issue, when I turn it on to inflate, it deflates.I don't want this bed anymore but the company has a 1 year guarantee, I'm writing them today and will update this review when my issues are resolved. Hopefully with more than a 1 star.
Would have been great but kept leaking.
July 4, 2017
I had to return this. It kept leaking and I finally figured out it had a small hole so I patched it and thought it would be OK. Every night it kept leaking even though the patched hole was no longer leaking. I could find no other source that air was coming from so I returned it. Amazon issued a refund. I don't know if I had a defective product or there was another small hole somewhere. It would have been perfect and was comfortable and I would have kept it otherwise.
Disappointing after 4 uses
May 18, 2017
Lowered from 5 to 2 star, it is handy, comfortable, and inflates pretty fast, but about 4 uses later cannot hold air more than 2 hours. Only ever used indoors on a clean wood floor for a few days at a time.
Too expensive to need reinflation halfway through the night.
April 7, 2017
I'd much have preferred a bed without the built-in pump, because the check valve in this isn't great. It's super-comfortable on first inflation, definitely needs a few layers on top like most air mattresses, but deflates to uncomfortable and saggy halfway through the night.
it was as comfortable as an airbed could be and the height off ...
May 13, 2016
I'll start with the pros; it inflated quickly, it was as comfortable as an airbed could be and the height off the ground is perfect.Cons; I ordered the queen airbed in end of November, used three times in house on carpet. It already has a hole in it somewhere because it is not holding air? seriously? I had an aero bed for almost 4 years and with a ton more usage. Heard great reviews about this bed and Im so disappointed that its already broken. Return policy is 30 days so off to get another Aerobed.
Leak prone but comfortable until that happens.
March 29, 2015
This bed was super comfortable when I first purchased it. Unfortunately after 6 months of on and off use the bed developed numerous leaks, which I tried to repair with patches (both supplied by the company and third party), with no luck. I feel like there should be some sort of warranty on an item like this because these leaks developed only after normal use and in under a year. The company did nothing besides offering me a worthless patch kit, which didn't come with the mattress to begin with. I won't be buying this brand again because of it, had they rectified the situation it would have been a different story. Buyer beware.

Can not recommend
October 30, 2017
It's hard as a rock! It fills up fast, holds air, and is quite tall. Tried it twice so far, once when we took it on a overnight to family and once when family came to visit. We did not have a good nights sleep, and our family opted to sleep on the couch rather then this mattress. Even after letting out some air for extra cushion it wasn't comfortable, the material doesn't have any give. I'll keep it for the grandkids to play on. I don't like giving bad ratings, but can not recommend this air mattress, however, if you like something extremely firm this might be for you.
Mattress still leaks after being inflated for multiple days
September 22, 2017
This is the second air mattress I have purchased and both units have had the same problem... they continuously leak even after multiple days of being inflated. Intex's instructions say that some leakage is normal for the first 2-3 days of inflation due to the mattress stretching. But both my mattresses leaked after being inflated for 7 days. My guests couldn't sleep on the mattress without waking up on the floor in the middle of the night. I used soap and water to search the entire mattress for any tears/holes/ and couldn't find any. My guess is that the leak comes from the built-in inflator. Unfortunately I didn't use this mattress right away and it's now out of it's warranty period. I won't be purchasing another Intex mattress. I recommend air mattresses from a strong brand like Coleman who I've not had any issues with after years of use.
When we first got this I loved it. My cousins spent the night on it ...
July 26, 2017
When we first got this I loved it. My cousins spent the night on it and said they loved it. I left it aired up and it stayed hard for 2 weeks. My sister came and slept on it for a week and she loved it! We took it down, I used the pump in deflate mode to get all the air out. We rolled it up, on carpet, and put it in it's bag. It fit wonderfully!Fast forward a week and we took it with us on a family vacation. We aired it up on a carpeted floor and my brother slept on it for two hours and it was very low. I am so disappointed because it worked so great the first two weeks. I thought it was a fluke so I deflated it again and repumped it up making sure the dial was all the way in the inflate position. It still deflated, even without anyone laying on it. This would have been a five star review if it would have kept up.
Look for better quality elsewhere.
June 19, 2017
Great size, comfortable, and convenient. Too bad it only last 3 overnight uses. The mattress began to have a leak and now deflates with any use. Won't make it through the night.
Manufacturing Defects on First Mattress and the Replacement
April 15, 2017
Originally ordered this mattress and it had a manufacturing defect, the sealant around the pump didn't go fully around and left a small gap for air to seep through. It was an audible hiss that made it easy to pinpoint.I returned it without a hassle, and got another. This one lasted about 1 month staying fully inflated, but has developed a small pinhole leak and won't stay inflated through a night.Originally I had thought it was just a decent t, but it appears that the manufacturing is just shoddy. Two mattresses, two leaks. Wouldn't recommend the product, but it was comfortable while it worked.
Square shapre eventually turns ovalish :\
November 15, 2016
Update 11/15/2016- I've had this air mattress for almost two weeks now... using it while I settle into my new house. The material is soft and it was very easy to blow it up.Simply plug in the cord and turn on the switch. So indeed you have to occasionally inflate the bed as instructed in directions. So every morning for the first few days I had re-air it. Once its broken in, then it maintains air pressure. BUT the bed stretches out on the sides so it looses the square shape. Kinda annoying because my fitted bed sheet does not wrap around it as easily and comes off occasionally at night or when climbing to bed, I have to slowly get on or the corners of the sheet will pop off. I just got rid of the sheets since I kept wakign up tangled in it lol #thestruggleisreal. Now that I have my real mattress back, I put the air mattress away but I wonder now that its stretched out how long will it hold up (after me sleeping on it for a week) I will update with a photo soon.Over all, I would not recommend this air mattress for long term use. A week was too long. Maybe as a spare for occasional one night guests.

Piece of garbage.... few weeks in and hole just separates on top under my head. I thought the, negative reviews were over the top but they are true. Flimsy construction for 100$
Don't Buy!!
March 10, 2017
Bed lasted 9 weeks and then went flat. Do yourself a favor and get either a day bed, pull out couch with bed or just put a mattress on the floor. Don't buy any of these beds. They are not made to last. I don't even want to give this product 1 star but have no other choice. I plan on calling the manufacturer and complaining.
Three Stars
February 28, 2017
Loses air from day 1. I read the directions, the first few times it is stretching and you need to add more air but I've had guests on it 10 times now and it loses air horribly in the middle of the night. BUY another brand!
A Flaccid Folly
July 16, 2015
The following account is a true story. I have experienced this with the last two mattresses I've gotten from this brand. I do not put them through any intense use and follow all direction provided.Evolution of a night spent sleeping on an air mattress:Hour 0:00 - Inflation: a process who's acoustic qualities can only be likened to living inside a vacuum cleaner.0:05 - Firm/Mattress like: Wow, what a nice bed you have. Put a sheet on it and you'd hardly know it was full of air.1:00 - Imperceptible Deflation: Or maybe you've just gotten really comfy?2:00 - Water Bed: Your sleep will begin to degrade just as subtlety as the air trickling from your bed.3:00- Hammock: Structural integrity is now severely compromised. Groggy wakefulness usually follows as you blearily realize that you're spine is attempting to assume the shape of a banana. I hope you were sleeping on your back.3:01 - Acceptance: Contemplation of the abysmal racket that would ensue if you were to attempt re-inflation is argument enough against any action. You are resigned to your fate.4:00 - We Have Touch Down: In a landing that would be the envy of any space agency, your protracted descent had finally made landfall, though your feet and head are still elevated in a slightly comical crunch position. Your abs will look great tomorrow.5:00 - Deflation Complete: It's been so long since you've watch the sun come up. Enjoy it as the loose skin of the par deflated elephant crinkles and ripples beneath you.
Disappointed
May 13, 2015
Like most, my initial impressions of this product where very high and would have easily given it 5 stars. However, before I write a review, especially on something like this, I wanted to hold off. I purchased this air mattress earlier this year for when family and friends stay over. While at first, this mattress exceeded all my expectations, however, over the last two months I have been introduced to guest sleeping on the floor. This mattress did not last five months and has two patched holes. If you only need this for a very short time and do not care if only lasts a few months then I would recommend this product, otherwise I would avoid it.
Low quality for a high price
February 28, 2015
This is a terrible mattress for the money. I've had 2 and they both ripped at the dimple part on the top. I can't return it now because I'm out of the return windows. It is uncomfortable, lots of pressure points that make waking up painful. I don't recommend this mattress; the quality is poor for the amount of money you pay.

Not Durable, Leaks Air Over Time
November 8, 2017
I bought this to use at a friend's house when I stayed the night there because he didn't have a guest bedroom and didn't have a sofa to sleep on. I come here every few weeks and stay for a night or two. The first few times using this product were fantastic. Bed stayed firm after sleeping on it overnight and had minimal air leakage. Sadly, over the past few weeks it is losing lots of air overnight. Just inflated it fully about two hours ago and it's already lost a good chunk of its firmness - enough to wake me up because my body isn't being properly supported.Loved this product when I first received it, but I could not recommend it in good faith.
Chemical industrial smell has not gone away after a month! And now leaks.
May 13, 2017
We have had the air mattress for over a month, and the chemical industrial smell is still so strong that we don't like going in the room where it is being stored. We even hung it up outside for a day and the smell is still very strong. We don't want to keep it in our house, let alone ask guests to sleep on it all night. It is decently comfortable and the air pump works well, so that is why it is 2 stars instead of 1.UPDATE (07/29/2017): Air mattress has now developed a pretty significant leak, and I am downgrading this to 1 star.
bed has never stayed inflated
May 7, 2017
we read the reviews that said it needed a few times before the bed would hold the air but it has been several times and it has never remained inflated throughout the night my guests hate it and would prefer to sleep on my couch! waste of money
Won't hold air
March 6, 2017
I purchased our air mattress to stay on when going to stay at a friends out of town, but we got a hotel room instead, so we didn't need. Lastnight I aired it up because we have a bunch of company coming and it has at least two nice holes in it. I tried patching it up, but when I went down to check on it today, the air was lacking in the bed.
Lasted 3 months only and popped from the top of mattress around the lining.
February 26, 2017
Purchased mattress and a little over 3 months after purchase, mattress popped from the top portion. The whole is about 2-3 inches large. Nothing changed for the past week of sleeping on it and while laying down watching TV, all of the sudden the mattress just burst. We do not over inflate and do not keep any sharp objects around the bed. This is very disappointing as we actually like this mattress and the sleep quality. I hope Intex does the honorable thing and replaces our mattress as clearly it was defective.
Worked 3 times and we woke up on the floor. Buy a better mattress with a warranty.
October 5, 2016
This mattress worked great about...3 times. I purchased this air mattress in July and after a couple of uses it already has a hole somewhere that we can't even find to try and patch. Really disappointing overall as Amazon says the return period has passed. We were always very careful with the mattress and it has only been used indoors, so that fact that it worked 3 times and I can't get my money back is pretty frustrating. I would not purchase this air mattress again. Buy one with a warranty and save yourself the headache.
