Drunk? House guests? No problem!
September 27, 2016
In need of a convenient blow up mattress, I went with this one because of the included air pump. As we had some house guests for the weekend, I didn't want to have to attempt to blow up a mattress after a night on the town with a detachable pump. Plug this baby in and press a button. Golden! A monkey can do that. Also, my guests are both over 6' tall and they fit just fine on this thing. And it kept its air all night long as a bonus. The only thing I wish for differently is if the cord was a bit longer to reach a plug better. But hey, I'll take what I can get.
The perfect Airbed! You will not regret this purchase!
August 16, 2016
Wow! I did not realize a blow up mattress could be so comfortable! I purchased 2 of these on lightning deal because all guests that spend any amount of time in our guest room complain about how awful the convertible sleeper couch is. Unfortunately they're not wrong, it's pretty awful. So when my parents and siblings announced they were coming to visit for 2 weeks I knew that I had to figure something out. This review only pertains to indoor use because we do not camp and the mattresses have not left the house.Heres a break down of the pros and cons of this mattress :Pros:Very comfortable !!Comes with it's own storage bagA good size - fits 2 grown people comfortablySelf-Inflating! This is so super awesome!!Inflates/Deflates quickly and efficiently (not too loud either!)Cons:Some might not find the built in pillow to be the most comfortable because it is quite hard compared to a feather / traditional pillow.Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for an airbed for a guest bedroom. Everyone was satisfied with this purchase and I can finally invite people to come visit without being ashamed of how uncomfortable they'd be on our couch! I can't wait to have more visitors; thank you Intex!!If you found this review helpful and appreciate the time that goes into writing detailed reviews, please help me by clicking "helpful" or "yes" ! Thank you!!!
Zzzzz comfy!

My dad LOVES this!It arrived fast (same day) and I set it up for my dad.The automatic pump embedded is super helpful, save the hassle from doing manual pumping. Plug it in and let the power on to pump and within few minutes, the bed is ready to go!The bed can fit 2-3 people easy! We are 5'7" medium built. It is as comfy as it can be, it is no mattress quality at a king's palace but it is one of the top most comfortable airbed! The designed-in pillow is a good thing too.My dad does need to pump the bed once a day or 2 before his naps.
Intex Pillow Rest Classic Airbed with Built-in...
December 29, 2015
This air mattress was very comfortable and makes a great bed for guests. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to inflate. ( I had visions of hooking up a vacuum hose.) The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I just had to flip a switch and within minutes it was inflated. I like the built-in pillow which was perfect. The contour of the bed is like a regular mattress. It holds the air well and does not leak. The first night I used it, I did not turn the valve all the way but once I did, it was perfect. It is sturdy and even tolerates children and pets climbing on it. What a treat from other older, mattresses.
Excellent Air Mattress: Quality Product, Unbeatable Price
December 2, 2015
Great air mattress! I needed something temporary for my daughter to sleep on, as most of our things are packed up awaiting an upcoming move. I have the queen one that is at least double the height, so I was confident that another Intex brand air mattress would fit the bill. It stays nicely inflated, I do though top it off maybe every 3rd day. The latex material does stretch out over time, so an occasional fill is necessary. The best thing about the mattress is that it has a built in inflator. Just plug it in and switch it "on!" The Amazon price is AMAZING by the way...while out last Thursday shopping, the same model was $59.99. Amazon's price was only $23. Overall, I'm extremely happy with Intex and this air mattress!
Comfy and durable
November 28, 2015
Does everything it should do. We've only used it twice but the automatic blow-up feature is super nice (albeit not very quiet) and the bed is comfortable and durable. We had two large dogs (both over 45lbs) occasionally trampling over it before we could stop them and there are no punctures, so it also seems pretty sturdy. The built-in pillow isn't exactly the most comfortable thing if you forget to bring an actual one (like I did), but I wasn't expecting much from that feature anyway.

So far, so good! it literally blew up in a second and we use it so my daughter can sleep in our room.
December 11, 2016
it literally blew up in a second and we use it so my daughter can sleep in our room.We are extremely happy with this. It was so easy to blow up-we were so tired when we first got the box and we were just going to try it and it was so quick and easy. It's comfortable-I would say it feels like stepping on a raft if you stand on it for a second I don't really stand out it though I put my foot on it to see like a little bit without a lot of weight. My daughter says it's comfortable. I don't think you can really beat it for the price. I'm guessing maybe there's some really comfortable ones out there but this is great for what we wanted it for. You could also use them in the back of the van to add additional sleeping spot for camping
Great value for regular travelers.

I've now had this air mattress for a year and a half and couldn't be happier with the purchase. As a swing dancer, I regularly travel to events where beds are scarce, so this has proven to be invaluable. The air mattress inflates very quickly. Yes, the pump is loud, but the speed with which is inflates more than makes up for it. Additionally, no chance of losing attachments because the pump is literally inside the mattress. No leaks yet, although 18 months later I do find it is slightly deflated by the time I wake up in the morning. That being said, this was an incredibly worthwhile investment - with over 45 weekends of use in 18 months, it was so worth it.
this airbed beautifully survived a trip to mexico (-:
August 11, 2016
this is honestly the coolest air bed i've ever owned. i bought it in anticipation for a trip to mexico i had with family since they didnt have enough beds for me to sleep on in their house. I opted for this so that i could have a good nights sleep during my trip and i was definitely not disappointed. this bed is i believe as long as a twin bed but only big enough for a single adult. but its really cool because its not only very comfy, but its also high off the ground so theres no real chance of your back feeling the ground floor while sleeping in this bed. its also very neat because the air pump is inside of the bed so all you need to do is open the compartment that contains the wall plug for the bed and plug it in to an outlet. and it only uses two prongs instead of three. it inflates very very quickly, probably only took like a min and a half. and of course, you just have to plug it in again to re-inflate it. its also very durable. i used this mattress on tile floor in very hot humid weather in mexico where there were obviously lots of scorpions running around the place, but miraculously, the mattress made it through two weeks and could easily last a couple months. and for this price, the mattress is awesome. it also came with a tote bag to store the mattress in so you could easily carry it on your shoulder which was nice to have when i was going through airport security to bring this back home and take it as a carry on lol (-: overall, really really nice and i honestly might even buy another one for other trips too!
Good Spare Beds
July 20, 2016
I purchased 2 mattresses for my summer company as I have a small apartment and no spare bed. Full sized fitted sheets fit perfectly on them and did not ride up & pop off. I only wish I'd had enough time to sew elastic on one end of the flat sheet so it would have stayed tucked under nicely. My company claimed they were much more comfortable than the previous single height air mattresses I've made them sleep on in the past. Both mattresses inflated perfectly and only stretched slightly overnight. This made it seem as if it lost a bit of air, but they really hadn't. The day after they were slept on, 1 mattress lost almost all of it's air without any weight on it at all. That night, it was pumped back up and was slept on all night without losing air. The following day, it again lost almost all of it's air. It seemed as if weight on it was pressing the valve shut. After about the 4th or 5th day, the problem seemed to have fixed itself and now holds air 24/7.I tested sleeping on the mattress myself am pleased with this purchase and am not embarrassed to ask company to camp out on one.
The good and the bad
January 8, 2016
' i did NOT receive any discount and i did NOT get this product for free. i am giving my honest and unbiased review on my own free will. So, I was reading many of the reviews on these types of air beds. The good and the bad. I ended up settling on this one. I honestly don't see anything wrong with this air bed.It took approximately 90 seconds to fully inflate and not long at all to deflate. It folded up well and fit nicely in it's bag that it came with. It has a nice soft top and it's on the firm side. But I like firm because of my neck and back issues. I slept on it a night, my husband slept on it a night and I let it set by itself with occasional times that I would go over and sit on it for a minute or so. So it was up for 4 nights and I did noticed a bit of air that came out.I did not observe any air leaking out other than the norm. Remember this is an "air" mattress, it will lose some air when one lays on it. And the heavier the person, the more air it will lose faster. Solution: plug it in and blow it back up.PROS:[soft[love the pillow topCONS:[none right now
Easy to use and very durable
July 29, 2015
We initially bought this airbed to use while traveling as my children tend to have a tough time sharing a bed in the hotels. This allowed them each to have their own space. I liked the way it was raised so as to be almost level with a standard bed. Best of all it is surprisingly comfortable. Before we opened it both kids were fighting over who had to sleep on it but after pumping it up it turned to who GOT to sleep on it. It was also been great to keep in the closet and pull out for sleepovers. It inflates quickly and easily so the kids can actually do it themselves (and deflating is just as easy). Although I've only had it a short time, I can tell that this bed is clearly very durable.I caught my son jumping up and down on it one morning and thought for sure he had broken it. No air loss whatsoever (and he is 120 pounds!).

Good for camping
May 30, 2017
Good for camping, built in pump is nice. However, it did get a small leak the first week we used it (not sure if it was due to user error or poor material). I would recommend for home use, not necessarily camping, because we were in a tent on a sandy pad. Very comfortable though, good size for a couple.
This gets 4 stars because although it is a great bed, it does not stay up
December 27, 2016
This gets 4 stars because although it is a great bed, it does not stay up, just as the other reviews said it might last a weekend. I bought it anyway as I only needed it for a weekend and it worked great for the price but if you want it to last longer it does not. You can use again but you will have to keep blowing it up, it is easy to do though with just a switch of a button, so if you guest do not mind then it is a good buy for longer use.
good mattress
January 12, 2016
good air mattress, built in pump is easy to use. fills bed quickly and deflates too. can deflate without pump on if you wish. every air mattress I have ever used loses air over night, aero bed for $120 to walmart $20 beds, this on does too. not flat mind you, just loses some air with a person sleeping on it. top it off in the morning and its good till the next morning. the pillow, raised section on top is nice, it isnt padded, but you must account for it with your pillow selection, i would suggest also using a normal pillow. just a flatter one than you would normally pick.
Very comfortable blow up bed and super easy to manage
October 17, 2015
We needed mattresses for a couple of days after our furniture moved and we were still home -- in an empty house. Pretty darn comfortable for a blow up. Works so easily - both blowing up and deflating. One simple dial does all the work. If it deflates slightly overnight, it takes a few seconds to add more air. An excellent option if you need a bed for guests. Gave it to our friends who have a B&B after we left and they say their extra guests love it.
Fantastic if you are using the built-in pump
September 7, 2015
When filled with the internal motor, this mattress is very comfortable, and a good value. The motor works well, and can fill the bed in just a few minutes. The only reason I went with four versus five stars is the inablilty to properly inflate it with an external motor. Our last campsite was at a campground in Santa Barbara, CA where parking was a not right next to the site. Knowing this, we brought a portable pump; however, the mattress would not fully inflate with the pump. The pump was able to inflate a different bed which does not have it's own air supply. I ended up carrying the bed back and forth to the car to plug the onboard pump in. Not really a huge deal, and in the future, I can plan better knowing the limitations. I would definately purchase this bed again, and have already recommended it to others.
Good value overall.
November 27, 2014
I purchased this to replace one I use as an air bed nightly. It's easy to adjust tension for a bad back, and holds up to a cat with long claws and a bouncy border collie. Over time, the original started sagging out past the sides of the bed, and I'm not that heavy.Still, purchasing one of these every several months is much cheaper and just as comfy as my old Sleep Numbers bed, which only lasted two years before it quit being adjustable. When I'm done with one of these I can donate it and someone will have an extra emergency guest bed or kids' play bed.Not the best...certainly not the worst.

Not what I thought!
May 22, 2016
So this is a VERY nice air mattress, BUT I would read all the product descriptions before buying! When you go to buy an electric air mattress do you not think, "oh this would be perfect for camping all I have to do is push a button to inflate it instead of airing it up with a pump by hand", or is that just me?!I must have been very naive though. First, I brought it with me camping and my roommate asked if I had brought batteries (first mistake). So then I got it back home to see what batteries it took so I would be ready the next time I needed it but found out it's electric and has to be plugged into the wall (second mistake). So just know, if you are needing an air mattress for around the house then this is perfect. But if you want one for camping then it's not going to be helpful!
Works great for the first year
February 25, 2016
Works great for the first year, then it won't stay inflated for more than a few hours.Anyway, it's been a year and a half and the engine still works great tho! However it is a pain in the ass the re-inflate it, especially in the middle the night. The Engine is LOUD AS FUUUU*****. But it does inflate really quickly, tradeoffs....As I mentioned earlier after about a year this thing won't stay inflated. It comes with patches, but i can't seem to find the leak; where is sherlock when you need him eh? har har har har har har har har har har eheeehee eeheheehe tee hee hee, heh ... heh...Basically i just bust this out when drunk friends need a place to crash, but they always wake up on the floor by morning because the thing deflated; and they are like "wtf is wrong with your air mattress?? and i'm like oh no!! what happened....?!?! " I realize this fake surprise tactic will only work for so long, so i need to find that leak.... help....
Here is a very recent review from a happy customer...twice.
March 6, 2015
I recently have had to stay at my brothers house with no spare bed and slept on the couch for the first week which meant that they had to go to bed early so I can get up for work, saw this and ordered it slept like a baby every night after.Inflated quickly, and like it says, it is vinyl so it'll stretch and seem like it's losing air but for me, the air that seemed lost made the bed more comfortable but if you like firm, just add more air. I used the bed for a month, stood it up during he day so they could still use the office and then laid it down at night for me.The only downfall to this bed is the raised edge all around, I'm 5 2 and if I'm not scooted all the way to the top, my ankles hit the raised part and is uncomfortable as my feet do not need a pillow, to solve this, I bought a cheap $10.00 foam mattress pad and sheets which evening out he sleeping area and never a problem after that.In fact, at home we also have a long term house guest sleeping on a camping cot in my junk room, I bought hi one of these and he is may 6"3. for him, he put a sleeping bag over the top to even the layer and his feet hang a bit over the edge but it works and him and my dog sleep all night long comfortably. This bed does work but if you are tall, you may want to double check the length so you have no issues, for me and what I need it for and the cost, I'm a happy customer. I left the bed at my brothers house (he's sick with cancer) and if I have to stay the night I have a bed to sleep on and someday when it is no longer needed there, I have grand kids that will be spending the night someday and this will be perfect for them.
Great (plug-in) air mattress...the In-laws will love it :)
December 17, 2014
Purchased this air bed for camping. The reason I give it 4 stars is because it has a wall plug and does not take batteries. So unless you have access to an electrical outlet or power source, this bed is not "portable". You can use a small air compressor to inflate the mattress through it's quick release valve.Aside from that, some features that I do like about this product is: that it does have a quick release valve, so deflating is quick and painless. The "double" height is quite nice, make you feel like you're sleeping on an actual bed rather than on the floor. The height also keeps you out of the draft. Another thing I like it the "flocked" top, as it helps to secure bedding - alleviating the bedding from riding/rolling on. This mattress does have a "pillow" to rest your head on, but I'd still recommend using an actual pillow. The overall bed is stable and does not bow, due to the design of the air channels/pockets within the mattress. All in all, I like this product - I just wish it was truly portable. I have purchased other Intex inflatable products in the past and they are all well made and perform well.
2nd one I've ordered
April 26, 2014
The first one I ended up putting in storage for almost 2 years while I went to Illinois and then eventually moved it from Portland to New Mexico. At some point it developed a very small slow leak. I ordered a 2nd and am glad I did. When you tell people you sleep on an air mattress they assume you basically sleep on the floor. This is a full sized bed and inflates completely in 3-4 minutes, maybe less. If you're not into taking a bed apart when you have to move this is a solid choice.
IT work when you have a small bedroom
October 18, 2013
it plugs into your electric socket and has a big switch that you push and it fills up fast in 3 minutes it's filled tight . it feels like your sleeping on a water bed. it's more controlled and solid in the middle but the sides are softer so if you lean off the sides you will fall off the the edges hard to explain. A lot of you talk about kids sleeping on it I'm sleeping on it and I'm 230 pounds 5'11" and it works for me. It has a smell like a new balloon you just bought but you get use to it. I deflate it when I need more space in my tiny room and inflate it when I'm ready to use it. It comes folded up in a box but it's hard to fold back up once used but you can bend it up and put it away in a closet. To be safe keep it away from sharp edges or heat it is plasic mostly. I put a eggshell foam under it and a sheet on top a small pillow works good with the already made pillow on it but your own pillow feels better and cover up with a another bed spread and done. Just careful don't sit down on it fast go down slow and get on it gently its solid only with air so if you drop hard or jump on it I'm sure it will explode . I've had it for nearly a month and i feel great when I wake up no back pain at all.

Great for the price
June 1, 2017
Very comfortable and gets the job done. My fiance and I have used it for 2 weeks while we are waiting on furniture after a move, and we've had no complaints as far as comfort goes. However, despite gentle use, the bed had a severe leak at one of the seams. We patched it with the included patch and super glued it. It has since been holding up fine. Definitely worth the price, but you do get the quality you pay for!
Returned it
January 13, 2017
It is ok we went though a few. Each time we ending up with a pin hole up in the corner. This was after a few nights of sleeping on it. The first one I bought back a few months ago ended up breaking in the second use. I ended up returning it. It needs to be made stronger. I did like the automatic fill it made it for an easy inflate.
Not worth it.
October 27, 2016
Upon first use the mattress leaked pretty badly, and my husband and I woke up nearly on the ground. After continual use it's gotten to the point where after just 30 minutes of laying on this thing after blowing it up all the way, you end up laying on the floor. Definitely not capable of withstanding moderate use, and I'm disapointed that I have to get a new air mattress else-where because it's just not usable anymore.
May your experience be better than mine.
June 6, 2016
I am considerably larger than my wife, so when we both laid down to sleep on this mattress, it was not the most effective. We took it camping and laid the mattress down on the floor of the tent (which we had to set up on a crushed gravel patch due to weather conditions). The mattress inflated easily enough, and was really pretty convenient. My wife laid down on it and found it to be pretty comfortable. I decided to try it out, too, but got jabbed by a sharp piece of the gravel as I was making my way back to the mattress. That caused me to jump a little bit and lose my balance. Luckily for me, the mattress was directly in the path of where I was falling. Unfortunately for my wife, she was still laying on that mattress.Have you ever seen those videos of people jumping on large, inflatable pillows on the water, and it sends the smaller person flying into the air?Yeah. Imagine that. But in a tent. That has been pitched on gravel. My wife was not very happy with me for the rest of the weekend. When we did settle in for the night, I was much more careful with my approach to the mattress and eased myself onto it. The weight disparity didn't make sleeping very comfortable for either of us. Even though I was on the mattress, I sunk deeply enough into it to still feel the rocks poking me in the back, while my wife's side of the mattress looked like an engorged tick with her perched on top of it. Any time either of us moved in the night, we woke the other one up because the whole mattress rose and fell and shook whenever we tried to get comfortable. Honestly, I would have preferred to sleep on the picnic table, if it weren't for the rain.My suggestion is that instead of investing in the Queen air bed, at least for camping, get two of the Twin sized beds instead.
It was good for the cost
November 2, 2015
It was good for the cost. I've been sleeping on it for less than a week waiting for my bed to get here...... and I'm really looking forward to not sleeping in it anymore. I don't really like the "built-in pillow" at the top. So I sleep below it and my feet touch the end of the bed that way - kind of annoying. The ribs of the mattress feel prominent to me, so I personally haven't been very comfortable on it. But as I said, it's good for the cost, and I imagine if I had a thin mattress top to go on top of it, I'd probably be just fine.
Horrible built-in pillow but good mattress for the money.
October 26, 2015
Works great but the built in pillow lump is rough! Didn't consider it when purchasing but wish I could go back in time and get a flat bed instead. It is a queen so I can scoot down to avoid the lump but it's just a pain. Other than that, the pump works great although again limited since you have to have a wall plug. No good if you hope to take this glaming without hookups.

Nice while it lasted...
April 25, 2017
This was the first air mattress I ever used that didn't lose air overnight. We used it about every other night for nine months with no problems. It was mainly used by my daughter, who weighs only 62 pounds. We deflated it after each use as it was in a trundle bed. Frankly, I expected the motor to give out before anything else. But suddenly, from one use to the next, it started losing around 1/4 to 1/3 of its air. We hadn't taken it out of the trundle or done anything different, so I'm not sure how it could have gotten damaged. I blew it up tight and couldn't find a leak.I considered buying another one just like it since $35 is really not a bad price for this product, even if the next one also lasted only nine months. The reason I did not (and the reason for three instead of four stars), is the built-in pillow. At first we thought it would be nice, because it kept our own pillows from slipping off the bed. However, we eventually decided that, even with the flattest pillow we could find, it was just too high. (We didn't like NOT using a pillow, either.) So I'll go with a more expensive mattress this time (with no built-in pillow) and see how that works out.One thing I would like to mention: We usually aired it up tight about 10 minutes before we used it and then just a little more later, after it had a chance to stretch a bit.
... have several Intex air beds and consider them the best brand, especially the never-flat ones that continuously inflate
January 8, 2017
I have several Intex air beds and consider them the best brand, especially the never-flat ones that continuously inflate. That said, this one is not my favorite. It was purchased for our son's new home, as an extra guest bed. I slept on this twin for 4 nights, and was not comfortable with the raised pillow end. It was too high and hard under my regular pillow. And, this air bed was shorter than the cheap twin WalMart ones that other family members were using. (We measured them) On the last night, I finally got smart and turned the bed around, with the foot elevated rather than the head. This was much better for me. Maybe if you prefer to sleep with your head elevated quite a bit, you would like this model. But for me, it seemed very uncomfortable and a bit short. I'm 5'6".
Comfy but needs inflating a lot, even after a couple of weeks' use.
October 17, 2016
After about two weeks of use, this airbed still required re-pumping frequently. The insert with the airbed was adamant that this was a temporary occurrence due to "stretching" of the fabric. Maybe it will eventually reach the end of the stretching period, but so far it hasn't. When fully inflated it is comfortable, surprisingly roomy and high enough off the floor to make it easy to get up (so long as you pump it up before trying - if it's low, there's no support to boost yourself up and out). I didn't figure out the de-inflating process the first time. When I inflated it again I discovered there is a dial that needs to be turned to the de-flating position and you have to flip the switch on while deflating it takes just a minute or two then.
only stays inflated when being used!
February 16, 2016
It is comfortable and decent sized, good enough for a full grown adult over 200 lbs. The reason for 3 instead of 4 stars? It only stays inflated if someone is lying on it! My husband says this is because the baffle doesn't seal properly without enough of a weight on it. We do not have the original box & it has been since Christmas so will just make due with it as is. If this is just a defect than I would say it is an excellent air mattress for the money! Sorry we can't isolate whether this is a flaw or not. What I can say is that as long as someone is laying on it, it stays inflated all night/day and is very comfortable. It is loud when it inflates of course but does so very quickly. Comes with sack to store it in. Even with the annoyance I would recommend it for kids, sleep overs, people with guests but not the money or room for extra beds! For the price, it is a good buy.
Very good... for a short time
December 26, 2015
I've bought this twice, because apparently I don't learn quickly. It's a terrific air bed... for a while. I bought it to use on my book tour, because I end up sharing space with other authors on the circuit rather often. It was incredibly easy to inflate to my comfort level, and just as easy to pack back up and fold into an IKEA bag for transportation. It was quite comfortable - in some places, more comfortable than the hotel beds! That is, until the internal baffle goes. There's some kind of internal construction that provides its structure, and when that baffle went, the bed suddenly had a huge hump in the center that made it impossible to sleep on. I figured I'd busted it somehow, so I bought another one in July. It lasted through one five-week tour, then not long after I brought it home, pop went the baffle again. Now it's useless, just like the first one, and only five months later. I will attempt to request a replacement from the company, but judging from others' comments, I'm guessing I won't have a lot of luck. I think I'll switch to a Coleman before next year's tour.
great but not for long, 3 months
March 10, 2015
From experience the beams will burst. I have owned this bad twice. I finally got my own place last year and needed an air mattress to tide me over until I can save up for a real mattress. (Which are extremely expensive) I owned the first one for three months until the vinyl beams where you lay burst. It did not cause puncture to the material, however, I had to make due, sleeping on either side of the large lump. Then a second one snapped. I barely had room to sleep on either side. It will also cause the same thing to happen to the underlying beams as well and the bed will see saw. I had to put a bunch of clothes and towels underneath the side I slept of to keep from being thrown outta bed. Kinda redneck I guess but it worked till I could get a new one. Now the second one just had the beam burst. Trying to make due until I can afford a new one. Hopefully a second beam will not burst until then. I weigh about 120 130 lbs , the beds seem to last for 3 months exactly. Otherwise they really are good beds. I have not had and holes to patch. I have not had to fill up with air expect maybe 3 or 4 times within the three month healthy life span. They are nice and soft and raised up. Very comfortable. So overall 8 am pleased. They are not a real matress so I never expected them to last forever. I will be ordering another one ASAP.Ps the last one I got was 3 inches shorter length wise and almost 2 inches shorter height wise than my first one. Thought something was different. ..wasn't sure if I was seeing thing but then I got a tape measure and measured it 3 or 4 times just to be sure. I thought maybe they sent the wrong one. However the box was the same. I read the dimensions and it stated. The same thing the last box did. In real life it did not stand up to what it calmed to be. But I needed a new bed obviously, with the previously stated situation with that other bed. So I kept it. I hope the next one I get the right size! :)

Perfect exactly what I wantedUPDATE: on the second time of trying to use this item it lost air making it flat during night. It was as if we were sleeping on the ground. Item was only used indoors so there was not a stick to poke item. Unfortunately we were unable to find the leak. We were so happy with the comfort the first time but very disappointed that it was unusable the second time and return window was up. For that reason I would take 3 stars away
I took good care of mine too
July 29, 2016
I have bought two of these, both got holes. Both got patched, and both got more holes. I am not an extreme hiker, or any such camping enthusiast. I only ever used them indoors too. Expect them to get holes. They are born for it. It is their nature. I took good care of mine too, I rolled it as instructed, put it away nice. When it was time to use it again, you wont know it has a hole in it until 3am, when you wake up from sleeping, flat on the floor and your back is all krinked up. I want to love these, I really do. But the fact they get holes so easily is a turn off.
Seams inside busted. Not happy with it.

I bought this on a sale not sure when I'd use it. Sure enough it became handy as I was making a cross country move 5 months later and had to ship my bed down before me. Less than a week of use and I've woken up at 4am laying on the ground with a massive inflated bulge next to me. I only weigh 130lbs.. I decided to write a review since I'm up already. I'm not sure what to do about it since my return window is ended...For what it's worth, it was very quick and easy to inflate and deflate and rather comfortable before this morning.
Lasted Only Two Weeks
June 22, 2016
We recently moved to a new house and are camping on the floor, waiting for our goods to arrive. We purchased this airbed and set it up on the living room floor. I weigh 180 lbs and my wife weighs 135 lbs. We are empty-nesters, so no kids or pets jumping on the airbed. Good points: Just plug it in; flip the switch and it inflates. The bad points: After two weeks, the valve failed. The airbed is badly deflated nightly by about 3:30am. This relatively economical airbed was not a good purchase.
Displeased
December 21, 2015
When I first received this item I was impressed by the quality of it. From the built in pump to the firmness off the bed. Everything was great until about a week when I noticed that the mattress would lose air. Come to find out there was a small hole in it. I patched it up hoping that would fix the issue then came another small hole. So I requested a replacement thinking that maybe it was just a defective one. So a week and a half later I received the new one. Again everything was perfect until about 3 days in a hole came and I was so disappointed. I'm not that big of a guy I'm only 6'0 230 maybe that is to big I don't know. I thought it was because maybe I was to big until I looked at the people reviews and felt better knowing I wasn't the only person going through this. To conclude this if you're looking to sleep on this daily like I had planned to this is not the air mattress for you. You get what you pay for.
Comfortable but undependable
December 16, 2014
This was purchased as a temporary sleeping situation. I broke my leg and couldn't get upstairs to the bedroom. So, this was put on top of a skinny sofa bed mattress in the family room downstairs. It was very comfortable. And, the felt surface held the sheets on beautifully. However, it sprung a leak - slow at first. Then it wouldn't hold air at all and went flat in a few minutes. We couldn't find the leak, so we had to replace it after 3 weeks. I'm thinking the air was escaping from the pump. Something we couldn't have fixed anyway.

Started Leaking After Third Use
May 5, 2017
I was not really happy with this mattress. It started leaking after the third use w/ no apparent punctures. I realize that inflatable mattresses are prone to get small holes and leak but I really didn't expect that to happen this soon. I took great care to not put it in contact with anything that might tear or puncture the fabric. Also, the built-in pillow is a neck killer. My mistake for ordering a mattress w/ this feature. I just ordered an air mattress w/ a "never-flat" pump to ensure that even if the mattress has a slight leak I won't wake up w/ my butt on the floor.

December 22, 2016
I bought 2, and they were very comfortable initially. The first one loses air (flat after about 8 hours), I think somewhere through the valve because we can't identify any leak and it loses the same amount of air whether there is no weight or a 2 people on it- but every once in a while will last all night. My poor kids have gotten used to sleeping on a flat mattress by morning and sometimes don't even bother blowing it up. The second one lasted a few months, but one of the support things inside the mattress separated which caused the entire right side to be super huge. A few weeks after that one separated, the second one next to it separated as well. So basically it was like sleeping on a wedge (my kids call it the flump). Even if we let out quite a bit of air, my poor son would wake up against the wall. Apparently there was a one month warranty, but we didn't start using it till them till that was already passed. But reading people's reviews, the company is difficult to deal with in replacements anyway. When they worked correctly, they were very comfy. But 2 out of 2 had problems.
I want to like this bed
June 21, 2016
I want to like this bed, I really do. It blows up great with its own little blower built in and the cord that tucks into the little cubby. For an air mattress it's pretty comfortable. Sheets fit well on it too. Here's the problem - they only a few months with regular use. My wife slept on one often as I put one in our nursery with a baby who had "sleeping by herself" issues. I am on my third. There must be some sort of divider in the middle of this thing, because twice now one side has gone flat and not the other. If you're in a pinch and don't want to spend much money - relative sleeping over or something - I say go for it. But if it's going to be used for much more than a week straight stay away.
A tale of two mattresses.
November 29, 2015
I recently ordered two mattresses, one for each of my kids. The driver behind my order was our stay at a relative's for Thanksgiving. My criteria was simple - a decent mattress for a good price. We didn't need top of the line for mattresses we will use only a few times a year. I read a lot of the reviews, overwhelmingly positive. Yet there are a decent number of 1-2* ratings with quality complaints. But for less than $30 I took the chance.Features;-Soft flocked top-Super simple to inflate, assuming you have an outlet nearby. Pointless if you are tent camping.-height when inflated is nice. More like a mattress vs pool float-Price is right-Easy to deflate-Ability to hold air and remain inflated throughout the night.....wellllll....one of the mattresses performed very well. The other one, not so much. We tried it for two nights just to make sure the first night's results weren't due to not capping the valve properly. And the sleeper weighs about 100lbs so not a weight issue. Flat. Completely flat. The kid on the bad mattress actually bailed in the middle of the night and joined her sister on the good one as pictured. So I'll be retuning it, already got the replacement ordered - thank you to Amazon for the free return and quick replacement. Let's hope the new one fares better.
This is a low to the floor model
January 1, 2015
These Intex mattresses are good, of course they don't last forever as they are supposed to be a temporary solution. Our last one bit the dust as a result of being moved around as we were using it in our house under renovation. We liked it until that point so decided to get another one to take to my parents for spending the night at Christmas. This is not the model pictured, it is very low to the ground, not much higher than a regular cheap air mattress. I broke two vertebrae earlier this year so one high up of the floor was key in my purchase and this was a huge disappointment to say the least. The dimensions in the description say it takes a twin sheet which is why those were disregarded, as it's a queen mattress and will NOT take a twin sheet. It will be going back.
feel better
May 23, 2013
I usually have body pain from a chronic illness.Since I have started sleeping on this mattress I do have less pain in the morning.Bed is twin sized but really not as big as a real twin.It is well made sturdy.Goes up in 2 minutes..just flick a switch.Sheets are an issue presently. I use a queen size flat sheet..then top sheet and blanket just thrown on top.A queen sized comforter. Covers whole bed.Everynight I flick on the air intake for a few minutes..very firm.I will let you know how it holds its air in the near future....Ok..one month and one morning I wake up on the floor..flat bed..with my dog framing like a maniac to get off it (sm dog)Found a large leak..patched it..then noted that it seemed the seams of the matress were leaking..went to return irmt to find out no full refund. After certain date. They went by the date I ordered it not the date it was delivered so I some how mashed into the ruffle and am going to talk with customer derbies to see if they could help me. To bad it was nice..easy to set up..very comfortable..still it starting losing air after one month so I wont be ordering another too much hassle.

We really like the pump
September 24, 2017
Despite many of the reviews about leaks, we were hopeful this airbed would be an inexpensive extra mattress for friends. Unfortunately, it simply doesn't hold the air through the night. The first time it was used it lost about half of the air overnight. The second time our guest was sleeping on the floor by morning. We really like the pump. It's fast and reversible, so you can use it to move air in and out. It's just too bad it can't hold the air. Don't waste your money.

December 19, 2016
Bought this item have only used it indoors on carpeted floor and the thing does not hold the air at all. Only have used it a few times and it goes flat within a few hours every time. There are no holes are small leaks anywhere that we have been able to find. I know the air must be getting out some how but at the rate that it goes flat you would think the hole would be large enough to for us to find but we haven't found it yet. I wish we used it right away when I bought it. I would have been able to send it back. But we bought it back in August and only started using it in late October for Holiday guests.
Deflates :-(
November 25, 2016
Mattress deflates overnight. There must be a hole in in somewhere. What a hassle to try to ship back! Completely regret buying!
Would not stay inflated out of the box !!!
August 4, 2016
I had high hopes for this mattress and it failed me. Not in design but in function, I purchased it fro a camping trip I was taking later on in the week. I always test out new gear before I use it in the field, due to the fact that I had several items come in for the trip I over looked the mattress. So long story shout when I went to use it during the camp out, the mattress would not stay inflated. It should be noted that I did follow the manufactures instruction on inflation of the mattress for the first time but the mattress never held the full amount of air. Needless to say it will be going back.
Don't buy it!
July 1, 2016
This mattress is horrible. It got a slow leak after only using it a few times. It leaks all around the area where you plug it in. And now it is too late to return it. Such a waste:( I should be able to get my money back. The picture shows where the leak is from the water bubbling up.
SPEND YOUR MONEY ON ANOTHER MATTRESS
October 13, 2015
I bought this mattress to go camping with my children. First night, we blew it up before going to bed and by the morning there was barely any air left in it. The next night it was the same thing. It probably held the air for a few hours and then it started going flat. I was so disappointed after all the fantastic reviews I read about it. Now I have to buy another mattress that will actually hold up air.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. You might think you are getting a smoking deal, but at the end you will have to purchase a different mattress.

The mattress, the mattress, the mattress is on fire, we.....will be returning it.
August 31, 2016
Bought this over the Serta because it was cheaper....and boy was it. Opened my package right after I received it, and started to inflate it. At about 75% full, the pump on the mattress began to smell like it was burning...checked the pump, nothing in the way, it looked clean...but the burning latex/rubber smell was too much. I unplugged it, blew in the vent to clear anything that I might not see, and continued to inflate (I waited about 20 minutes.) The burning smell was still present when I continued, but I figured It might just be the new smell of the mattress. Finally It finished inflating (was actually pretty fast overall under 5 minutes). The directions say to let it stay inflated for an hour or so to let it stretch out, so I let it be. About 15 minutes later I noticed a clear sag in it. I put my ear up to the mattress and could obviously hear there was a leak. At first I thought it was the pump but then I felt the air coming out of not 1, but 2 pinholes near the seams of where the contours in the mattress surface are. It appears that the rigidity of the mattress top w/ folding allowed it to crack (my theory at least). The holes were minor and the kit comes w/ patches, but they are not easy to apply on the contours of the mattress.Pros: Cons:Cheap -------------------------------->CHEAPInflates fast ------------------------->Smells like burning rubber during inflationComes w/ patches----------------->You'll need those patches.Overall: I think there are some quality control issues. Seems like it could be good, but I will be shelling out a few more bucks for the Serta.
Initially I thought the product was very good -- easy to inflate and quite comfortable to sleep ...
August 11, 2016
I purchased this bed on 18 May and by 11 August after having used the bed often with no one over 180lbs using it, what appears to be the inner seam split and now there is a large hump in the middle of the bed from head to toe. Initially I thought the product was very good -- easy to inflate and quite comfortable to sleep on. However, the splitting seams causing large humps both on the top and the bottom of the bed seems to be a rather common defect, which makes the bed unusable and nonreturnable based on the return policy. The bed might be OK if it is only used very occasionally, like maybe once or twice a year for guests or whatever, but if the plan is to use it regularly as an alternative bed during hot weather (which is what I did), forget it --- the bed won't last long. Can't recommend, and I am normally very pleased with Amazon purchases.
Won't buy another
June 5, 2016
Ok, we are on our 3d one of these. The first one has lasted a year and a half. It is still great! The second and third, those have been problematic. The second one lasted maybe 6 uses (with kids, light weights) before it had a pillow 1/2 the size of the mattress. The third got maybe 12 uses before it did the same. I will be buying a different brand next time, hopefully one without a pillow, as I firmly believe that is the flaw :( . I don't expect them to last forever, or even for periods of continuous use, but they should last more than 6 uses.
I'm pretty disappointed because it was my guests who suffered
October 9, 2015
We have used this mattress twice and both times it completely deflated by morning. The first time I thought it was "user error" but since it just happened again it's clearly defective.Because it is one of those items you only use when needed, it is now beyond the 30 day return window, so we can't do anything about it. :/I did test it out when it arrived, but it only deflates when weight is on it for an amount of time. I'm pretty disappointed because it was my guests who suffered.****UPDATE****Amazon took care of me in an exceptional way. They shipped me a new mattress which has been staying inflated and is very comfortable, plus they reimbursed my shipping for returning the defective mattress. I didn't expect that, but appreciated it greatly.
Good while it lasts - WHICH ISN'T VERY LONG!
June 26, 2015
This is the second Intex airbed I've purchased. We use them regularly in our house. They are very comfortable to sleep on, very easy to clean, easy to inflate and easy to deflate. However, in both cases each mattress eventually began to develop some kind of internal structural breakdown which caused huge bumps/humps to develop on the sleeping surface. At that point it went from being very comfortable to feeling like you were sleeping on a camel's back! The first mattress lasted a year before this happened, the second only lasted four months - and, of course, the warranty is only good for three months! :( If you don't mind having to replace the mattress a couple of times a year, this might be a good choice for you. Otherwise, I recommend you look elsewhere.
Different sellers = different items
August 13, 2014
This is the second time purchasing this item but from different sellers. The first seller was from Amazon.comLLC which worked out ok as an every night bed but as most of you who owns this bed have experienced the swelling in the middles of the bed after a few weeks, well mine to 6 months to show up but the bed's dimensions on the box were true to the bed inside. The second one however i purchased was just on the 21st of May from Aliga Online and i only just blew it up and it is visually smaller than the one i bought from amazon.comLLC. The second one is 36 inches across and not the 39 inches as is on the box which really sucks big time! Now i have to purchase another one from amazon.comLLC to get the size i want....what malarkey! So buyer's beware all these beds are not the same, different sellers have different standards i guess.I am VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED in the second bed!
