Update: the bubble didn't appear in the bed until almost October. Had no issues prior to that. The bubble is simply from my boyfriend moving and other people flopping on the bed. If not for that it'd still be in perfect condition.I ordered this air mattress back in May this year. It's gotten almost constant use over the weekends of over 300lbs and after Hurricane Irma hit my boyfriend and I have slept on this one ever sense for going on 2 months straight every night. Well over 300lbs on it every night. Still hasn't lost air and up until last night the air bubble it had wasn't big, but with all the moving my boyfriend does it made the air bubble bigger. Still doesn't lose any air just someone has to sleep on the bubble now. I would definitely recommend this air mattress it doesn't lose air and lasts for a long time. We can still use it after the house is fixed from the flooding. We've used other from beauty rest and other brands and all of them lost air after the first night or came with a hole in them.
Good for the price

Moved across the country and didn't bring anything that didn't fit in my car so I needed a new bed until I find a more permanent mattress. This airbed blows up really fast, and stays inflated. It is really comfortable. My only complaint would be that I think I got an odd sewing job because I sleep in the middle and yet there is a definite lean that causes me to end up sleeping on the right side (like a bed gets after sleeping in the same spot for years). It isn't the end of the world, it is just strange.Very happy with this airbed and would recommend it and would buy it again.
Happy with our second purchase of the same brand and model.
August 20, 2016
We purchased this to replace the same exact same model bed my friend. His lasted many years until a certain someone weighting 175 pounds (I am not saying who but his name starts with MY HUSBAND) decided it would be funny to body slam into it while I was laying on it and launch me onto the floor. Repeatedly. I awoke in a very soft "air hammock" the next day.To date, the replacement mattress has been used 6 times without any issue. For those unfamiliar with air mattresses, please note the importance of inflating it and letting it rest for 30 minutes and filling it again, to allow the material to stretch, as it is new. We did this 4 times before it's first use. We do this twice before anyone sleeps on it each time it is used. This preparation reduces the amount of sag after it has been laid upon. Some sag can and should be expected while the mattress is being "broken in" and also because by design of all air matresses, is subject to changing with environmental temperature changes. Typically for us, it only needs one more adjustment for firmness shortly after an adult has laid in it, but rarely again in the middle of the night. If you have a hard floor, lay a sheet between the floor and the mattress to prevent annoying squeaking as the sleeper shifts through the night.

I purchased this blow up bed to use as a "in between" when we sold our home and were waiting for furniture to arrive at our new home. I've used other brands of blow up beds before, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of comfort or style when this arrived. I was very pleasantly surprised! First of all the built in air pump makes the inflation a breeze - no pun intended ;-), simply plug the cord in, turn the dial to "inflate" and flip the switch. In a couple of minutes your bed is inflated and it is at a perfect height. You are able to very easily make the bed softer as needed by turning the dial towards "deflate". I appreciated that upon opening the packaging there was a sheet of paper with some information on the airbed, including information that due to the material, it is not uncommon for the airbed to "stretch" the first few nights giving the appearance of an air leak. The flyer recommended simply refilling the airbed back to your desired level and that it would stabilize after a couple of nights. Sure enough, the first time I laid on the bed I though I noticed a slight sensation of air on my cheek (this was prior to putting sheets on the bed) and the next morning it was a little softer. But, just as the flyer promised, after a couple of nights this "problem" stopped.Once I made the bed up I was surprised to find that it actually LOOKED like a bed. Not just a flat blow up bed, but an actual bed. The sides are contoured so the sheets actually grip and hold on. My 2.5 year old son put that to the test when he climbed in bed with us to play and the sheets stayed on--wow. When the movers came to pick up our things I already had the bed set up and they even remarked on how realistic the airbed looked. When we were ready to disassemble to airbed I was please to find I could reverse the process of setting it up, plug it in, turn the dial to "deflate" and flip the switch to "on". The pump then worked to pump the air out and got it much more air out than I could have with the traditional rolling methods. The bed also came with a carrying bag that I was able to fold the bag into and store in for easy transportation.I would and have already highly recommend this airbed. It is not only very comfortable to sleep on, but it is at a very comfortable height when getting into and out of the bed.
Love this bed!

We got this bed to sleep on when my mom comes to visit. We give her our bed and we sleep on this. It's super comfortable and stays inflated well. The built in pump is great!-As a wife and as a mom of 3 kids, I spend a lot of time shopping for deals on the best products out there for my family. It's important to me that if we're spending our hard earned money that we get a top notch product in return. I often rely on the reviews and opinions of others when contemplating purchasing a new product that I haven't tried before myself. Because of that, any products that I buy (whether on Amazon or from a 3rd party) I always make sure to leave a detailed review of the product to help others when selecting items to purchase, as well. My family tests these products fully before forming a solid opinion and writing a review. When I write a review, I keep in mind that those reading are also looking for honesty about the product and want an unbiased opinion to go by. If my review has been helpful to you, please give me a "Yes" vote on my review. Thank you!
Great "portable" airbed for travel
August 4, 2014
I purchased this originally because I traveled a lot and needed a mattress to sleep on that was portable. When I travel, I usually stay at a designated city for 3 to 6 months at a time. Therefore I never really stayed at hotels but rather rent short term rooms. Most of the time these rooms are not furnished, and having a "portable" sleeping solution relieved this problem.I have had this product for a year and a half now. The first year it was used every single day, without no problems. The last six months I have returned home for work, and used it whenever I needed a bed for incoming guests. And even to this day, it still works the same as the first time I used it. The bed inflates properly to its full capacity; there no air leaks or holes in it.I really enjoy the "lifted" aspect of the airbed, because otherwise it would be a pain getting up from a "low height" bed. The inflation process is fairly quick; perhaps 5 minutes or so to inflate fully (make sure you listen to the air pump - the pump puts off a slightly different sound when the airbed reaches full pump capacity).Overall, I have been very satisfied with the quality and construction of this airbed.

February 10, 2017
I purchased the Intex pillow rest raised twin size inflatable air bed for an emergency visit to my sister's home. The bed was ordered a few days in advance and was waiting on me when I arrived. It was very late into the evening when I opened the box and immediately set up the bed within a few minutes without a problem. It was extremely easy and amazed both my sister and me as it practically set itself up once it was plugged in and the dial was turned to inflate. I was so impressed and I plan to purchase additional beds for my own home to accomodate guests. The bed was comfortable. My mother, who suffers from dementia, arose during the night and came into my room and got on the bed with me. Luckily we are both small women and we both slept well on the bed. Our combined weight would be about 210 pounds and the bed held both of us without a problem. I highly recommend this bed to anyone who needs an extra bed. I slept on the bed for approximately two weeks and did not wake up tired or achey.

Great guest bed (and bed to banish the significant other to in times of turmoil)We've had this bed for over 6 months now and it has never leaked - we keep it inflated all the time. Only periodically do we have to refill a little air and there have been no issues working the pump. The bed stays firm overnight as we've never had to re-pump air into this bed the following morning.I loved this bed so much I purchased the queen sized version of it when that went on sale. Looking forward to upgrading to that bed
VERY COMFORTABLE!!
September 6, 2016
Great bed. Very comfortable. We went camping recently and were SOOO uncomfortable sleeping on the ground as we only had 1 inflatable mattress and everyone was fighting over it. So I bought 2 of these during Amazon Prime Day. Shortly after, my son had several friends sleep over and they camped in our yard. The beds were PERFECT. I love how elevated they are and the pillow feature is a bonus as I don't have to run around trying to find extra pillows for everyone. The bed is very comfortable and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that the pump is internal. I was ALWAYS losing pumps so now I only buy inflatable beds that have the internal pump and plug and all you have to do it plug it in. Great buy! Very happy with the purchase and glad I bought 2.
Great Guest Bed
July 13, 2016
My family has purchased two of these airbeds during the past 5 years and both are still being used. The first unit was used as a guest bed when the number of guests exceeded our bed count - on average, the unit was utilized five times per year without incident. The internal pump makes inflation and deflation a breeze. The construction is sturdy and the internal pump is very much appreciated as there is no other hardware to get lost when the airbed is not being used and is packed away. We were so impressed with the first unit, that a second unit was purchased for our vacation home. One great feature of these units is that when they are deflated and folded, they actually fit into the carrying case that are provided.Feedback from those who have used the airbed has been positive; good support and comfortable night sleep.
No, it is NOT leaking y'all!
June 18, 2016
Excellent value. I was confused by reading the customer reviews on this. They were either, "it's awesome," or, "it's awful due to leaking." So I decided it was worth a try. After it arrived, I inflated it. It began to become deflated over a day. I wondered if it was leaking or stretching. I refilled. It slowly deflated over a day. Again, I wondered if it was leaking or stretching. A third day, it deflated and I refilled. I've left it up for a week. It is no longer deflating. Therefore, I would say that the material has to stretch out. It is NOT leaking, and the material has to STRETCH! This is exactly what the card in the box tells you. Be patient. Give it a try. It's a great air bed and a great price. People need to give things a chance.
Drum Corp Mom says buy it!
January 20, 2015
So fantastic I bought a second one! Easy inflate and deflate, stores beautifully and stays inflated all night. My son and I use these to sleep on cold gym floors while we are living in schools during drum corp season. They are high enough off the ground we never get cold and set up is a FAST piece of cake. Stop looking....you won't find anything nicer and more reliable for the price!

Great deal and still holding up 6 years later
August 1, 2017
I bought this airbed in 2011 when I moved into a new place but wasn't having my furniture delivered for a week. Since then I have used it for guests at my house. I am satisfied with this purchase. For the past 6 years if has held up with occasional use (around a week or 2 a year) and i think it is a great deal at under $100. I do not have any issues with the bed being deformed, holes in the plastic, or it deflating. I think if someone is looking for something to sleep on for a long period of time (6 months or more), they should really be buying a mattress. This is good for occasional use though.
great for the price
March 12, 2017
Just like any air bed they tend to sink in a little once you lie down on them. My advice is to fully inflate the mattress and wait 30 min before adding more air to ensure it is fully inflated. When filling the air the air entering may warm up a little due to the motor/built in pump and then cool after being in contact with a tile floor making the bed appear to deflate a little. I purchased these mattresses after giving away the original one I had for two years ago.
Lasted 3 years and was comfy til the end
April 8, 2016
I've had this bed for about 3 years now. Overall I loved loved loved this purchase. Anyone who slept on it was comfortable and loved how high it sat. It comfortably fit 2 people who are on the heavy side more than a few times. My brother slept on it for 6 months while he was saving for a new mattress. Filled up quickly, wasnt difficult to fold back up for storage. I got a lot of good use out of it. A small hole formed from being overfilled and it was easy to fix with the supplied patches. My only complaint was that recently the top of the bed has become disfigured making it uncomfortable for anyone to use. The seams that cause the ripple effect in the top have somehow reversed so that the top of the bed now puffs upwards causing a dome like shape to the bed. It's impossible to sleep on now. Painful almost due to the awkward pressure. Unfortunately I have to toss it but I'm still satisfied with how long it lasted at such a good price!
Nice product, great price.
July 11, 2015
I originally purchased this as a quick bed to setup in my guestroom after I bought my house. It's a nice solid bed, the people at intex do know what they're doing when it comes to their pop-up pools so the same quality material in an air mattress was appealing to me.It's a heavy bed, it's 22 pounds when it's not setup and bulky enough to take up a decent amount of room in my linen closet when it's not in use. That being said though, it's also a nice sized bed compared to the standard air mattress that's just throw on the floor. You really need to allow this bed to pump up fully before having someone sleep in it. I didn't realize that initially and then when my father got into the bed he sunk down into the middle because there just wasn't enough air in it. It appeared firm after about 3-5 minutes of a fill up time, but needed another minute or so to really give the stability someone needs to easily get in and out of the bed.The only complaint (which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5) is the fact that if you are using this as a guest bed or a bed to travel with in general, you need to purchase a thin mattress topper for it. Even fully inflated it's a little uncomfortable to sleep on with how the grooves are laid out. Having that little bit of padding to counteract the 'valley's' makes all the difference in the world.Price wise it's actually pretty good for the value. I was looking at a similar bed in a big-box for twice the price and it didn't even include the pump. This one has the pump built into it, the dial is easy to open and close so you can decrease the firmness without having to get out of the bed, and the on/off switch for the fill-up is right next to the dial making it easy to re-inflate. It holds the air pretty well, it was used solidly for two weeks and didn't need to be reinflated at all.I've seen other reviews where someone used this as their actual bed for a few years and it held up well - I can 100% believe that to be possible based on how well made the bed is as a whole.
Sounded like it exploded in the middle of the night
February 4, 2015
1/1/2013I've used one FULL-TIME for over six months. It has developed a LUMP on one side (I think I accidently tore loose some interior binding struts. Sounded like it exploded in the middle of the night.) No real problem though. I turned it around, and am still using it full time. The problem occurred while home sick from work with the flu for three days straight. And I was sitting on the corner half of it all day, and getting in and out of bed the other half of the day. I weigh about 280.I know that eventually it will give out. I've thought it over, and will replace it with another, just like the one I have. I will write a more in depth review shortly.2/4/2015GREAT airbed. But will not stand up to full time use forever. I went through one every 6-10 months. Continued to purchase them because they are easy to set up, and deliver. I purchased two at a time on my last order in 1/2013. That one lasted until mid-year, when I broke down and brought TWO futon matrices and a heavy-duty folding bed: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZQALJY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1STRUCTURES by Malouf HIGHRISE Folding Metal Bed Frame 14 Inch High Bi-Fold Platform Bed Base and Box SpringMoved and gave second air matrices to old buildings guard.I will buy one again.IT'S LIKE SLEEPING ON A CLOUD!PS: but keep in mind, when it fails and leaks air in the middle of the night ( and one day it will) your sleeping on the floor until you can replace it.
Best Airbed with one exception
June 1, 2014
I actually would love to give this airbed 5 stars but one thing just happened after only having this for a little over a month. This is undoubtedly the most comfortable air mattress I have ever slept on. However, yesterday, just as I was getting off of it, I head a popping sound and the mattress didn't deflate so I thought nothing of it. I got back on it at night and realized what happened, one of the "seams" at the top came apart. It didn't leave a hole or anything but what it did is make for a huge ripple instead of the smaller ripples that I think make it so comfortable. So now if I sleep on the right side of the mattress, I roll toward the center because it is like a huge bump. I have been using this air mattress every night, while waiting for my furniture to arrive, for 5 weeks and have loved it. I will continue to use it and just sleep on the other side because it is great other than the hump. This may just be a fluke but you still need to know. Also, the price for such a big air mattress is well worth it. It comes with its own carrying bag an the electric inflate/deflate is super. I love that the cord has its own compartment so it isn't just dangling getting stepped on or scratching the wall. I have not contacted the manufacturer to find out if they will replace it. I must tell you that I purchased three more of these for my family and no one else has had the same issue as me which is why I think this may just be a rare occurrence.

Good for having company over - you won't mid sleeping on it yourself
August 30, 2016
I read reviews of people who slept on this mattress every night, and while I wouldn't go that far, I would say it's great for having company over. If you're like me and give up your own bed to your guests and sleep on the air bed, you won't get a bad night's sleep. It holds its air pretty well, and it has the electric inflate / deflate feature. The only downside is you usually want to fill it up before you need it. If you fill it up right when you go to bed, you'll wake everybody in the house, because the fan is by no means quiet. A final note: the bed has to stretch the first night or two. It will need to be re-inflated during the night, probably once.

July 15, 2016
This mattress inflates easily and is sturdy my 8 year old tried it out and loved it. An adult could sleep fine on it, too, it is definitely made of strong material and stays inflated very well. The only drawback is that the pump and the mattress together are heavier than I thought they would be, so if you're packing for a trip it's a bit of a pain. It is also hard to refold the mattress without doing it carefully (much more suited to a very patient adult!). My main issue with this isn't the mattress but the pricing. I bought it on a lightning deal for $25.99 and with a regular prices stated as $32.80. Then as I went to do this review I see the regular price is actually $26.90. So I didn't even save a whole dollar. Very disappointing, Amazon.
Love the built in pump
June 18, 2016
Fills up very fast! Love the built in pump. Didn't loose air while sleeping at all. I took a star off simply because of deflating. It seems there are chambers, and once a couple are completely empty, the pump will just whine. While there is still air. I had to turn it off, fold and sit on the mattress to move the air, then turn it back on. Not horrible, just something I'd assume wouldn't happen. But, it wouldn't discourage me to recommend this to a family member by any means. Used it a few times already!
Just about as expected; a little small
April 15, 2015
So far, so good. It's holding air, which is more than I could say for the last one of these air mattresses that I ordered from an Amazon seller. However, I was refunded for the leaky one so I cannot really complain too much.Fully inflated, this is a bit smaller than a standard twin mattress. I'm 5'8" and about 165 pounds, and would not have wanted anything smaller; anyone bigger than me might want to go with a full size unless you never move while sleeping. No real room to turn over or adjust much at night, but these aren't meant to be a permanent sleeping solution so that's okay.I never quite understood the raised-pillow "feature" that air mattresses started including some years back. I mean, I have my own pillow to use which is infinitely more comfortable than laying my head on the plasticky mattress material where my face will sweat all night. I would be fine if the mattress was flat all the way across, and did not push my pillow even higher than normal on the raised-pillow end. I guess I could always swap ends and have my feet slightly raised instead...Tip: I discovered is any air mattress is MUCH more comfortable if you toss a cheap foam mattress pad (I like the "egg crate" style) on top, then put sheets on over that. The extra layer of foam/fabric also cuts down the on sweating on these mattresses, as they do not absorb any moisture otherwise. You'd think I have a chronic sweat condition by the way I mention the problem in this review... but that's really not the case! :)
Worth it but with some limitations... good for warm weather, less so for cold weather
July 2, 2014
My husband and I had this shipped to my in-laws house ahead of our trip to visit them over thanksgiving. They have a smaller house and not enough beds for us and our son. This was for my husband and I to sleep on for the week. We are 43 and 44 and I have back and neck issues. For an air mattress, it was a decent night's sleep but there are short-comings.PROS-------+ includes a pump and fills quickly+ Uses standard size sheets - Queen in our case+ more cost effective than getting a hotel room for the week+ easily deflated and stored for another usage+/- relatively comfortable... but I think 5 days was really enough for my bad back... my husband was good with all 7 days and he's a normal, middle-aged guy. We obviously prefer our Memory Foam mattress at home but this was decent.CONS-------- the mattress air is cold so November in Arkansas, you really need blankets on the bottom and the top or your body heat gets absorbed by the mattress through the sheets (think like an unheated waterbed of the 70's & early 80's)WHY DID WE DO THIS for 7-nights consecutively? Rather than incur the cost of a hotel room and the difficulties in coordinating for the day each day, we chose to spend the hotel-money-savings on some things for my in-laws (they are on a fixed income) and it was well worth it.
Works well for SHORT term use.....
August 24, 2012
This bed was used daily for maybe a month and did start to lose a bit of air during the night, although nothing that you couldn't either sleep through or refill. It was then packed away for a few months and then brought back out again to use almost daily for several months. Again, it would slowly lose air while you were sleeping on it, so by the morning it was definitely softer. And to attempt to find exactly where the leak is coming from is yet another difficult task. If you are lucky enough to find and repair it, great, but we haven't had luck in that department. We then packed it away for about 7 months, brought it back out to use in a guest bedroom and by then the bed would deflate even more noticeably and quicker so you had to fill it during the night and hope that it would hold. But the piece de resistance or, I should say, the final nail in the coffin was one of the seams on the top portion of the mattress popped so there was a huge cylindrical lump running the length of the mattress. If a small child could handle laying on half of the mattress I guess you could live with it, but not an adult. So, the mattress is toast. All in all, we maybe were able to use it a total of 7 or 8 months (and this is with it not holding all of its air during most of this time). So, if you need something for camping or temporary guests, etc....then I would say you will get your monies worth, but don't expect ANY air mattress to last you a year or years and not have issues with losing air.If I had to purchase another air mattress, I would still stick with the Intex brand as these are considerably more affordable than the Aerobed brand, which we have also used and found they lose air at just about the same rate or even worse.

Cool comfy and very useful until the bubble came
March 31, 2017
About this bed. It lasted for about 3 months before i had any issues with it. I used it for my family when they would come over so they didn't have to sleep on my sofa. So the bed factor. Cool comfy and very useful until the bubble came. First, it started with on strip right in the center of the bed that apparently detached from the core of the mattress. This caused a bubble the length of the bed to form. Then another and another until the bed had a gigantic bubble in the center of the whole bed. I would only recommend this mattress if you rarely planned on using it. If this is a mattress you hope to use on a regular basis..... DO NOT BUY!!!
It sufficed.

Worked well, not as good as other brands but was ordered in a pinch for price and availability. Paid extra for shipping hut it barely made the shipping deadline. Was not as comfortable as ounces we have bought in the past and we had to reinfected several time throughout the night on the first use.STAR RATINGS: Each product is carefully reviewed in an unbiased manner. Great for the first few nights, but it doesn't last...
August 23, 2016
I know these beds aren't meant for any sort of long-term use, but I have to say that, in the event you have to use one like I have since I moved (the bedroom isn't ready yet), the bed just doesn't seem to hold up well. I've been using this bed for a little over a month only, and I already wake up feeling like I'm in a hammock because the bed has lost about 35-45% of its air. Also, in the last few days, the seams along the top have let go, so the bed blows up funny. Considering I have to add more air each night before going to sleep, it's disappointing to see more of the seams come undone. I would imagine that these don't last into years if they are only used infrequently because storage alone does a number on these products. However, it was great for the first couple nights, so it's a decent option if you need a short-term bedding option on short notice.
These are pretty nice. They inflate in just a few minutes ...
July 23, 2016
These are pretty nice. They inflate in just a few minutes using the built in electric pumps. The only problem I had was one of them wouldn't fully deflate. This was a problem because it was very difficult loading it in the trunk of my car with air still in it. Finally I figured out that I had to keep flipping it over while it was deflating in order to get all the air out. I'm assuming the problem was that once it got to a certain point, the skin of the mattress was probably being sucked into/onto the suction part and blocking it, not allowing anymore air to escape. We found we had to refill it once a day because air will slowly escape and there's nothing you can do about that. My wife and I would find ourselves rolling into the center if we didn't fill it up with air often. If you sleep without a shirt on like me, you'll find it slightly discomforting. We used sheets but it feels like skin sticking to plastic which makes you sweat a little. Sorry that was gross but I found by wearing a shirt, all that went away.
Defective Inner Chamber Problem
July 15, 2016
While this air mattress is comfortable, it is not made to last. The inner chambers rip out of nowhere and this causes the mattress to lack form, bubbling up. Each chamber breaks, one by one , until you are left with a bed that looks like a loaf. After the first chamber breaks, you feel like someone is lying next to you because of the raised section. Once they all go, it is impossible to sleep on. It feels like a boat and lacks form. I wish this bed was more durable. Over the past year, I had to buy two. Now, I am in need of another, because the inner core popped yet again. I would buy another brand, but this one is the cheapest for the size. You get what you pay for. I thought Intex was a better brand. Saw this model for three times more in a magazine, I wouldn't spend more than $40 for it.
good bed for price
May 8, 2012
I bought this bed after having two bad experiences with another brand (Aerobed). I thought with a higher price and good reputation those beds would have been good but I had bad luck with both and decided to look at some of the lesser priced beds. Intex was another good brand and this model was about $40 less than the previous brands so I thought I'd give it a try.So far it has been good and I use it full time, just one person. The only drawback to this bed is the top is too 'ridged' for my comfort. The channels are too distinct and were not comfortable to sleep on. I added a pillow top and now it's perfect. I wish the cord for the air compressor was a bit longer and it tells you not to connect it to and extension cord so I have to drag it across the room when I need to top it off but that's okay because I only have to add air for about 30 seconds every ten days or so.Another plus about this bed is it actually came with a small repair kit in case it springs a leak, the higher priced one didn't and of course it sprung an unfindable leak after about three months.Fitted sheets don't fit well on it because of the way the layers are designed but I found once I had the pillow top on the sheet would fit much better and can now be used since the foam gives a bit of grip and it pulls down snug to the divider indent of the two layers. If not for the pillow top I would have to use a flat sheet so be aware of that fact.Overall, I'm very impressed for what I got for the price and there really is no need to spend that extra money for a 'better' brand when this one seems just fine.UPDATE: I've now been using this for six weeks and it's developed a 'lump' that runs the length of the mattress from the channels 'collapsing' making only one side of it usable. Amazon won't allow me to return it even after less than two months. So I'll search for a better brand again and NOT purchase it here. Poor return policy, Amazon.

Convenient but not durable
October 7, 2017
It was very functional for 4 months of half time use at temporary housing. I would sleep on it 4-5 days and leave it inflated for 2-3 days. It only lost a little air, requiring "topping up" about once a month. It was only for sleeping. The nature of an air mattress made it unsuitable for sitting up in bed. It was too bouncy and too light. But it was definitely a better sleeping surface than any conventional couch. After 4 months, it developed a lengthwise bubble. Apparently, an internal baffle had separated and two air channels became one. This new channel was higher than the adjacent channels. At the customary air pressure, I would roll off the mattress to the side. At low air pressure, there was no support - like a hammock. I slept on the well-padded carpet for 2 weeks. The mattress was inexpensive and convenient. Delivery and disposal were easy. I will try to find a compact foam pad before I buy again.
Great bed! I am impressed! At least for the 1st week. After than, it constantly goes flat.
August 14, 2017
original reviewGreat bed! I am impressed! One of my cats has claimed it and she now sleeps with me.She has never done this before. I assess the best is also that comfortable for her :)after just one week of use, it will longer hold air. It must be aired up every few hours or sizable deflation occurs. Not really good to sleep on if you plan to sleep for more than two hours. The reviews either seem to be really really good, or one star. So I assess that it is a supply issue.I am getting ready to return it.
Lousy Long-term Air Mattress, But an Ideal Short-Term Use Air Mattress
June 29, 2017
The airbed was a fantastic price (~$28 ) for a twin sized air mattress at the time that I bought it. I had originally bought it for brother to use when he comes to visit, and it worked perfectly for him since he was the first user!! However since then, we have had a lot of friends come stay for variable amounts of time and use that mattress. I have noticed that now, as the person sleeps on it, it loses enough air during the night such that they have to either super-over inflate the mattress before bed in order to have a decent nights sleep, otherwise they will end up in a semi deflated mattress at 7am in the morning. Now I have searched high and low for the leak in the mattress, so that I can tape it or stymie its progression of losing air, but I have not been successful at all in finding a hole and I am starting to believe that the built in pump is the perpetrator. I don't know this for a fact but its my best guess and I hope this will be a helpful review to others who have been using this mattress long term and have noticed that they have the same issue.I am also aware that I spent hardly any money on this mattress and for that I am grateful for the fact that after a year of pretty solid use it is still mostly doing its job. That is why I have given it a 3 star review on amazon rather than a lower one, however my true review rating is a 3.5 since I think that is a good short term air mattress but a lousy long term one. I think that next time I will buy a cot or some other form or extra bedding that is far more useful in the longterm.
as it was feeling less comfortable last night
June 3, 2016
I have a variety of sleep issues... one of which is on on-call rotation at work which makes loud sirens go off on my phone at all hours for a full week. I got this to turn our spare room into a separate bedroom for the sake of my marriage. I selected it because the reviews confirmed it should handle much more than I weigh; as my weight was a concern....I've had it for almost exactly three months and have been using it most every night of those three months. It has worked rather swell too... aside from deflating over time and needing to be re-inflated at least every couple nights.Tonight, however, I went to inflate it, as it was feeling less comfortable last night. And when I did I found two of the sections on top had merged into one large bubble. It was basically like having a large body pillow sown into the center of your bed. I have no idea how it's constructed, but I'm guessing the rather high temperatures we got today might have melted glue or something within the bed.I flipped it over and it seemed like that might have worked in a pinch... the box did mention dual layer construction... however the other side I found to be much hotter as I was lying on the only-plastic side.Currently deciding between buying another, or paying more money to see if I can get more than three months.
Works well but does change with air temps.
April 10, 2016
Bed kept me from sleeping on the ground for a week of camping and fishing. Height was to be 18" which was typically within 2-6 inches. Thing I found when temperatures change from warm to cold then back to warm the bed does loose a little air. I never was sleeping below 14" off the ground lost air due to air temps and sleeping conditions. I used a towel on Bottom of tent as well as on Mattress which kept anything from pocking through. Understand the temperatures changed from 28 degrees to 78 degrees from night/morning to day. Some nights and mornings we woke up to Ice or snow on tent, by afternoon the temps would rise up to 78 degrees.Positive side was that it has option to deflate all the air inside and will fit the carry bag given by Intex. =)
Nice for a while
August 20, 2015
I would have given it more stars if I wrote this review three years ago. As you can see it is double height so you don't have to be so low to the ground which I like for several reasons. After three years the internal welding of the first bed broke which created a long hump running down the middle where used to be gentle rolls as in the picture. Came one day when I overfilled the bed with air which never happened before when I simply let the built-in air compressor work until it reached capacity. You really can't sleep on the bed with that single long hump down the middle forcing you off the bed. I liked the bed. Even without a sheet the material it is made of is quite smooth and soft to the touch, and easy to clean. A bed sheet is optional. So I bought it again. Two months old and it happened again - the same internal welding broke and the long hump down the middle appeared where low gentle humps like in the picture used to be. I'm disappointed. I'll shop around but for a different manufacturer of this style of air mattress.

Exploding Seams.
May 2, 2017
Update: Was 5 star at first, for comfort and how easy it was to set up.However, I purchased this bed back in March. Now, two months later we blew up the bed and the center section blew up much larger than the other sections. I thought perhaps it would level out, but I was wrong. When my guest went to lay down, there was a very large pop sound and a hole exploded at the seam of the bed.For the price, it was great at first, but if you intend to use more than once or twice this bed may literally fall apart at the seams.
would rather sleep on a couch
August 11, 2016
I've owned it for about a month and it will not hold air. Can not find the leak, I tried squirting some water around the mattress to look for air bubbles.. Instructions said it would stretch for about a week, but I have to refill it in the middle of the night if I want it to stay firm. Even if I sleep with it on the plush/soft mode it will continue to leak air. Also, went to fill it up the other night and two of the air rib chambers broke, so now it's uneven in the middle. I actually think this is an improvement.
Comfortable but short and small
June 22, 2016
This bed is very small compared to the other beds I had gotten from this company and low to the floor. When I set it up it dipped really bad in the middle as if I had been sleeping on it for days when I hadn't even laid on it yet. Its a comfortable air mattress but I'm returning it due to the dip in the middle and the small size. Suppose to be a queen but it looks and feels like a full
Very Disappointed they could do nothing for me
March 7, 2016
I should have read the reviews.... AND the 3 MONTH WARRANTY. It seemed that all the customer service reps knew exactly the issue the bed had when I described it..........but could do nothing about it, pass the 3 months. If you fill it up too much, the seems could pop and create a large pillow from top of bed to bottom. Now its very difficult for 2 people to lay on it, but I don't want to throw it out. OHHHH WELLLLL..... Very Disappointed they could do nothing for me.........Take a look at the pic I've included.... Thanx Intex. NOTTTTT
First night was fine. Second night it would deflate to the point ...
February 21, 2016
The bed was used for five nights a week after purchase. The bed was only used indoors thus no chance of puncture. First night was fine. Second night it would deflate to the point you needed to re-inflate it about every three hours. Third and forth nights, re-inflation needed about every two hours. Fifth night every hour and a half. The bed has no detectable leaks, my suspicion is the air is leaking out of the inflate/deflate valve. You can inflate it and walk away, it will still deflate itself in an hour and a half to the point that you could not sleep on it, thus it is not a matter of a person's weight on the mattress forcing the air out ... it just leaks. Certainly cheaper than getting a hotel room, even if you bought a new one for every night needed, but don't think that buying this will last long enough for multiple uses.
the seams will pop and make it effectively useless or nearly so
November 17, 2013
I was so excited for this bed when I first got it. We originally purchased it for use when guests come, but then we ended up needing to use it temporarily as our own bed. We (husband and myself- together about 285lbs) slept on it rather comfortably for about three weeks. Then suddenly in the middle of the night while we are sleeping a huge *pop* and the seam on the far side under me had broken and a huge hump pushed up under me, forcing me to roll towards the middle. It scared the heck out of me, since it was so loud right under me ear. Then of course it reduced the space for us to sleep. In the morning I inspected it and discovered the missing seam- the following night the next seam over did the same thing. We had not overfilled it by any means. It was 75 dollars when we bought it- I see why it is 50% off now! I am so irritated- it now looks like some sort of ridiculous daybed with a huge hump on one side, and what was once a decent queen sized bed is now effectively a twin sized bed. I anxiously await the night when the next seem might pop. We didn't open it for four months, so now the return time has passed and there is no warranty. Not worth it at all!

Should have listened to reviews
September 16, 2016
So much potential but alas, the other reviews were correct. We inflated it several times over the course of 2 weeks and allowed to "stretch" as I had read. When the week came when we would need to use it, I slept on it the first night and it was significantly less full the next morning. I refilled it and checked the opening dial and made sure it was where it should be. My 10 year old daughter slept on it the second night and again it was significantly deflated the next morning. I boxed it up and sent it back to Amazon. It is ver unfortunate because it was actually a comfortable air mattress and it inflated so easy and with minimal noise.
leaks
September 7, 2016
From day one it leaks air and you have to blow it back up 4 times during the night unless you want to have your butt hitting the floor. Sorry I didn't try it out before the "return policy" expired. Bought it for company and now I'll have to give up my bed instead.
Seam split leaving large air bubble
July 26, 2016
I have used the mattress for approximately three weeks. One of the seams has popped out, so to speak (not leaking), and it appears as a huge air bubble.
Ripped the first night of use at the stitching for the pillow
May 20, 2016
So we bought this air mattress since I have to stay in the house we are selling until our settlement in a week while the rest of the family moves. The first night I sleep on this mattress the stitching where the "raised" pillow area breaks and puts a 1/4 in rip in the material right at the seem. So much for that air mattress.I was comfortable for a little while. I loved the self inflation pump however that does no good if the stitching rips and the all the air leaks out.
Okay-ish
April 24, 2016
Lasted a couple months more than its 90 warranty. One of the seams came loose along the length. Now has a double-sized "rib" along the length. A very small child can sleep on the left side.
Intex Raised Airbed-Queen Sized
February 19, 2016
Gift for my Uncle - he is moving into a new place and got rid of his old mattress; this is a temp until we get his new one. He stated that it is like sleeping on a cloud; he is so happy with it. *Update 3/16/16: It has barely been two months since receiving this product and it has popped and bubbled up on one side - without being rough with it. My Uncle needed this a little bit longer due to his back and partial paralysis on the right side; he stated that it felt great on his back and alleviated some of his discomfort. Now he is laying on a weird lumpy uncomfortable mattress - Very Disappointed*

Avoid this one...doesn't last! Update
February 22, 2017
Bought this 2 months ago and only used twice before the wall in one of the top air chambers let go. Now there's a huge balloon that runs down the center and my Amazon return "window" has closed! I wouldn't buy this since I see other reviewers have had the same problem.*Update 4/25/17: Contacted Intex & they replaced the defective airbed with another one. Unfortunately this one is also defective & doesn't stay inflated! Intex will not replace again or refund purchase price unless I return this second defective one (for $20!). My experience is that this is a horrible air bed & Intex has horrible customer service.
It was WONDERFUL until it BROKE
January 4, 2017
Okay I'll be honest with you, this bed was the best thing ever and looked so nice! It was too good to be true. We had it inflated for less than a month and one morning my mom woke up and there was a giant mound under the covers beside her. Nobody was jumping on it, abusing it, or piling too many people on it. In fact, we treated it especially kindly because we loved it so much! It just flat out BROKE. Just like all those other reviews said it would! I read the reviews before I bought it, desperately hoping that the one I received wouldn't end up a heavy bundle of garbage too.. I was thinking maybe the reviewers were lying and they had abused their beds or just were unlucky enough to get a defective one. Well, it's true, this thing burst just by one person gently sleeping on it. What's worse is that a week later, my mom was just sitting there reading something, and a second air chamber burst! It sounded like a gun went off and shot my mom up out of bed violently! We all were panicked, looking around the room, not realizing that the lump had just doubled in size. The lump started off just taking up the one side of the bed, but after the second chamber burst, the lump was quite literally the size and shape of a very overweight person sleeping under the covers. The QUEEN bed turned into a SINGLE, making it so uncomfortable that you couldn't even roll over. I tried sleeping on it and every time I tried rolling over to face the mound, my bottom arm would get jammed up in it and go numb while my top leg couldn't even reach the center of it to rest on top. I thought it might be like sleeping next to my husband or cuddling up next to a huge pillow, but it was definitely not. It was like sleeping next to a concrete speed bump. So needless to say, we eventually and unenthusiastically deflated it and dragged the heavy blue rubber out of the room. I was so angry that my awesome bed broke. I am still angry!!! And without a bed!!!
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT'S DEFECTIVE AND IT'S NOT A GOOD PRODUCT
May 7, 2016
I bought this air mattress 6 months ago during the holidays and I used it for guests for 2 weeks straight and it was fine and 3 months later I went to use it and it filled up fine and 1 hour later, my guest told the bed started going down. So I wanted to return it to Amazon, they don't take item over 30 days. I say ok, may I can find where the leak is and bought a second one the same company and it turned to be defective again. My guest was sleeping on it and it went flat. I was so embarassed and now I have two airbeds with the same problem that I can't use. Amazon was able to refund me the money after I told them what happened. The customer service agent was very nice about it and issue a refund. WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR THIS COMPANY BRAND EVEN THOUGH SOME OF THEM MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE. I GUESS FOR THE MONEY THIS IS A CHEAP ITEM. I GUESS I GET WHAT I PAID FOR.I WOULD STILL BUY AIRBEDS BUT FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY. MY DAUGHTER HAS 3 AIRBEDS FOR YEARS AND THEY NEVER FAILED HER. I AM GOING TO FIND OUT THE MANUFACTURER. NEVER AGAIN INTEX. YOUR PRODUCT IS CRAPPY.
If they had negative stars as an option, it ...
October 14, 2015
If they had negative stars as an option, it would be my choice. My husband refuses to sleep on the bed because it sags in the middle, I have been on hold with Intex for nearly an hour to find out if it can be overinflated and explode. I guess I'll just let it run and Amazon (a 10-star company) will refund my money because it's still brand new.
poor quality inside.
May 24, 2015
Same beach ball situation as others have posted. There's a picture of one that is half blown, half not. Mine is exactly like this, except I bought it TWO months ago.Update: just found out there is NO warranty on this product. No warranty, none, zero.Other reviewers seem to have the same issue I do, which tells me this is a fairly common defect, considering we all have the same complaint.Amazon, why have you not told this manufacturer to improve their quality? The bed is useless, the internal baffles (as another reviewer posted) broke. My bed looks like a balloon.Very dissatisfied. Not buying from this company again, definitely not making the mistake of replacing this one with another one from the same manufacturer, as other reviewers have done. Might even call in to amazon to complain. Two months of occasional use should not cause this thing to break like this.
Now a beach ball
October 8, 2013
Great idea but poor quality. The chambers continue to break; the bed is now a giant beach ball after 9 months.

leaked after one night
October 11, 2016
this air mattress sprung a leak and deflated after one night of sleeping on it. the first night was fine, but after the second, i woke up on the floor. i searched all over for the leak but couldn't find it. i suspect it was around the area where you attach the pump to inflate it, and i tried taping over the whole area after refilling the air mattress, but it still deflated after about an hour. i was camping in the middle of nowhere so i spent hours trying to fix it because i had no other option. no luck. horrible product, would never buy from this company again.

June 4, 2016
Buyer beware! The company that sells this product claims that the buyer must inflate the mattress repeatedly due to a "stretching" issue. The mattress was inflated REPEATEDLY on a recent camping trip. The mattress continued to lose air the entire three days I tried to use it. I'm not just talking about losing a bit of air . . . every three hours for three nights I awoke to a completely flat mattress and found myself on the hard ground. Every 3 hours I inflated the mattress, 3 hours later it was flat. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MATTRESS UNDER ANY CONDITIONS. I am returning it today.
as always, high hopes that got dashed on the rocks
May 31, 2016
I bought this to use for tent camping. Made sure their was a carpet under it, gently eased my 187lb ass onto it at night... didn't smoke on it, no pets, and used it over 3 weekends... the first weekend it leaked just a little bit of air, the second weekend I noticed it was down some in the am... this last weekend I had to refill it after a nap and in the morning. I think it is leaking near the built in pump. Returning it to Amazon and trying this one out http://www.amazon.com/Lightspeed-Outdoors-2-Person-PVC-Free-Operated/dp/B00CWZE642?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
Very disappointed...
April 4, 2016
I needed a small air mattress for a guest bedroom for company that I was expecting. I decided to give up my bed and sleep on the air mattress in my office so that I could get up early and work without disturbing anyone. I had company on and off (mostly off) for less than 3 months. As a responsible adult who is greatly under the 300 pound weight limit, I was careful with this air mattress, and was the only person to use it. It was far from being over-inflated since I like a mattress on the softer side. I didn't ever fold it up or put it away, or use it for anything other than sleeping by myself on.It tore at the seam in less than 3 months of on and off (mostly off) use. Alright I thought, since it has a tear exactly at the seam, I'm sure this is covered under some sort of warranty, so I did some Googling and found out through the manufacturer's website that none of their airbeds have warranties.I'm not ordering another for obvious reasons.
Defective product
December 13, 2015
Great idea, poorly constructed. The first one I purchased lasted two months, then started to leak. There were small splits in the seams on top, in the flocking. I patched several times, but to no avail. The leaks repeated at the seams. I decided I just had a lemon, so I got another. Same deal... splits in the seam at almost the exact the same spot in both mattresses. I concluded that it's a manufacturing defect. By the way, the only weight ever supported by the mattresses was that of my 15 lb Shiv Tzu. He's the only one who sleeps on it. ...yup, he's spoiled, but seriously ...fool me twice Intex, shame on you! Stay away folks - don't buy this. I would rate zero stars, but can't.
and it worked fine. Now
July 8, 2014
I purchased this item in March of 2014. We used it several times when we first got it, and it worked fine. Now, only four months later, it will not stay inflated. We've searched it for holes but haven't found any. I think it is leaking from the inflate/deflate valve, which is a manufacturing defect. It appears to be fully inflated, but after about 15 minutes, it starts to slowly deflate. It only take about an hour to completely deflate. We just had guests use it this past weekend, and they had to reinflate it every hour. They finally gave up and just slept on the couch. I spoke with Intex customer service, and they explained that the item only has a 3-month warranty and that they can't do anything to help me. I'm terribly disappointed in this item and this company. I highly recommend spending a few extra dollars to get a better-quality air mattress.
