Looks great! Didn't get instructions to not sure how to put the back legs on? Called Plow and Hearth and they couldn't help either.

This is much more beautiful than the picture on the web page. I have two very inquisitive cats and our new home has a fire place that can be entered through its swinging mesh opening. When we place this screen flush against the opening it makes the fire place cat proof, the fire place more beautiful, and when the gas logs are lit the screen plays with light in a most pleasing way. This is an great buy for any fireplace.

This is a quality product. Sturdy and fits snugly against the fireplace, very solid feel to it, additionally it's very attractive. I replaced an older tri-fold screen that was very unstable and would tip over when the doors were opened, I have two small children and this posed a constant hazard. Not this screen! It feels like it is attached to the fireplace, the doors operate smoothly, are easy to open,and close securely. Very pleased with this purchase, was a little more than I wanted to pay, but would definitely qualify it as a bargain based on the quality. You won't be disappointed!

After attempting to order this fireplace screen several times and finding it "currently unavailable" I was thrilled to catch it in stock. It arrived today, well packaged and undamaged. It is VERY heavy, solidly built, and unique. It comes with front AND back legs, but I only attaches the front ones so it will fit flush against our fireplace. What a great find!

I was a bit worried to purchase this item based on some of the reviews - poor quality, poor door closure, poor packaging. However, the product is very nice, good quality and very attractive. The item arrived with damage to the packaging so I was afraid the screen would be damaged or parts missing, but it wasn't. No scratches or flaking paint, just a very attractive fireplace screen that sits securely on our hearth and fits snug to the walls of the fireplace. Easy to screw the leg brackets on and nothing is loose, the doors work great. We are very happy with the purchase. I will order from this vendor again.

I purchased this screen after an exhaustive search for fireplace screens that had some kind of glass insert (I did not want 100% screening). This product was one of the few screen + glass combos I found and upon arrival, was of higher quality and manufactured of more substantial material than I really expected. Beautiful product and although I had to contact the company to request replacement installation hardware (was missing from the somewhat poorly-taped shipping box) I still am rating it at 5 stars. Will definitely order from this vendor again.

Simple and classy. Mine came in perfect condition and has held up very well against my destructive one year old who knocks it over and steps on it several times daily. Very happy with my purchase. If she is successful in finally destroying it beyond repair, I will absolutely buy again.

Perfect for what we needed. We needed a screen to show our house. Seems it would withstand some time although it is a bit thin.

This is the perfect height and size. It is metal but does not get hot. It is warm to touch but not hot at all!! The only thing that could improve this is if it came with hinges for attaching but otherwise i love it!

We bought our new home in May of this year (2016) and it had a fireplace. It's currently not functional, but it is a masonry fireplace so we needed some sort of grate or something to keep the pets from messing around in there, and to help prevent things rolling into it etc.This worked very well and stand pretty sturdy even when "stretched" out pretty far. You will want to subtract a good 4 inches from its max width or so consider what it needs to stand up without falling over.

We bought this to keep our little one away from the fireplace glass. So far this does the trick. Very clean and subtle look so it doesn't take away from the beauty of the fireplace. We were afraid we weren't going to be able to enjoy the fireplace this year but this will make it possible.

This looks so much nicer in person! We got it to childproof our gas fireplace and I like how it looks so much that I plan to use it every fall/winter. Great buy :)

In my mind I was thinking the item was bronze. It is definitely black. It is very pretty even though it is black. I do wish they included a way for screen to be anchored securely. It would be difficult to tip over because of the weight. It would just make me feel better with children around to have it actually anchored,

Easy to assemble. Has tilt at top due to legs and sitting on Rick. May be better on smooth hearth.

Attractive screen at an affordable price. It does not seal off air flow. If that's OK I recommend.

I would agree with all the other reviews regarding the packaging, if they had better packaging I would give this a 5 star. There was a small chip of paint on one side due to parts rattling around during shipping, other than that it was in perfect condition, for me it wasn't worth sending back. I was looking for a screen with doors for my fireplace and this fit the bill perfectly, the doors open and close fine and line up perfectly with my fireplace opening. If you're looking for a fireplace screen that isn't permanently fixed to the opening then I think you would be completely happy with this product for the money.

It really depends on what you want if for, but overall, it's an easy 4 and possibly 5. Packaging was pretty good on my end, but I can see where there could be issues with others. There are virtually no instructions. But, I was able to use a simple mortar compound, create the look and seal it in place. For me, it worked, but I either got a little lucky or it's a darn good product for the price. For me, it worked!

I like it a lot, bought for my fireplace for protection as have little kids at home. Looks really nice and like that it's moveable and can take it away when not in use. Looks great except came with a small dent.

It does the job. Its very lightweight, but it covers the fireplace. Ours is gas so we really just wanted an extra barrier between the baby and the glass. This does that and doesn't get hot.

It's a fire place screen and does exactly that. Wait on a good price then pounce!

Purchased this as a short term solution in our new home - until we refinish our fireplace. For the price it's a great buy - a little uneven/wobbly, but can't be beat for the price. We've had it for a few months and use the fireplace often, and it seems to be holding up well. Would recommend if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a screen.

Arrived on time and in good condition. Perfect fit for our fireplace and is a good size so that it stands well. After using it, I wish we could have gotten one with a door as it would be nice to open the door and add wood. This one did not get hot so moving it to add wood worked well. Overall, very glad I bought it

Screen is very nice, easy to install and measurements were spot on. I have two complaints about this unit. The glass panels are held in by these little, flimsy, metal tabs. So flimsy that many of my panels were loose and had to be tightened down, not sure if they will get loose again. My major complaint about this unit is the doors. I really like how the unit is flush against my fireplace, and I like the doors however they are held closed by this tiny little magnet. This magnet barely keeps the door closed when there is no pressure on them, my fear is something from the fire would hit the door and it would open relatively easily. I am trying to rig up a better locking mechanism on this unit so I can feel more comfortable about the doors staying closed when I have a fire going.

Great product for the money. Simple and elegant. Not overly heavy and sturdy- so probably not good if you have toddlers- but sturdy enough to do it's intended purpose and look nice!

It looks nice enough and deters my toddler from touching the glass on our gas fireplace, but it's not baby-proof. It just sits there and is lightweight, so can be moved easily.

Screen was broken when arrived, but seller immediately sent a replacement. Nice, heavy duty. A little concerned that if it gets knocked over that a weld might break on the new one, so we are securing it to the fireplace so it can't topple. We have kittens that like to climb, so the screen is pretty enticing to them.

The screen works well for our intended purpose (i.e., keeping the Miniature Schnauzer out of the fireplace), and is a bargain at $32.78. I would give it 5 stars except for the fact Panacea shipped it in the flimsy original box, with no packing materials or a larger box to protect the product, which resulted in a damaged box and damaged product (3 of the 4 hinges were broken). However, Amazon gets 5 starts for its excellent product return policy---I received a new screen, shipped by Amazon in a proper box the same day I notified Amazon the product was damaged. Amazon's customer service simply cannot be beat.

Product is nice and clean. It does not distract from the view of the fire. Just beware it gets hot. There are no handles to move.

very nice, simple design that looks great in front of my gas logs, but it is light and fragile. If my big dog runs into it, we'll be getting another one!

This looked to be one of the better options in the price range when viewing online. As soon as I opened the package, I saw how cheap and poorly-constructed this item is. It had portions of the outer black coating chipped and peeling off, multiple scratches, and in general just poor quality. Perhaps some of this is to be expected after sitting on a Chinese cargo vessel for weeks and thrown around until it hit my front door. Just beware and don't be fooled by the appearance of the item online. If you have a local fireplace store that sells screens at a reasonable price check them out first.

the first time I tried to fold this screen 3 of the 4 hinges broke. I replaced all hinges with my own and it functions as expected

Cute but it arrived broken and then broke again after having it only a few weeks.

There are two small hinges on each side. One hinge broke in less than 2 months. Cheap welds.

Tiny, description doesn't cover that. If your fireplace is larger than 36" wide, not for you.

This screen looks great from far away, however it definitely is not made of the best quality once you get close up. It also doesn't balance evenly.

Was hoping it would last more than 1 year but that wasn't to be. One of the hinges broke off on my first fire in the 2nd year of use. I tried to Gorilla glue it to no avail. Going to try and sodder it back on.

Black paint chipped, screw holes did not align correctly, did not sit flat and evenly. Some of the fasteners that held the glass in place were either missing or bent causing the glass to be loose and rattle. Maybe I got a defective one, but I returned and didn't want to chance getting another one as having to repack it was a headache because of the flimsy, cheap, falling apart in pieces packing that it came in.

At first glance the screen was beautiful. It fit our fireplace perfectly and was very pleasing to the eye. However, My wife noticed immediately that the doors did not line up as they should have. Upon investigation, I found that the magnet welded to the back of the frame to maintain the doors equally from the frame was bent back ninety degrees from vertical. I looked at the styrofoam packaging and the cardboard box did not show any sign of deformation. With this in mind I surmise that the packager had to have known that he/she had damaged the fire screen prior to or during the packaging process. That lack of pride in workmanship and disregard for the purchaser quantifies Chinese quality!

Piece of Junk.. It was broken on Delivery. Was holding it in my garage for a gift for someone. Then when I gave it to them and they opened it and it was broken. I said I would return it and now it is beyond the return/exchange date.

The hinge on one side of the screen broke its weld on the first opening.

Poor quality.

This was a piece of garbage. The front screen came apart right after I put it out. Would not recommend purchasing. Doesn't even deserve one star.
