i lllloooovvvveeee iiiiiitttttttt! best mascara ever, it stays on, goes on easy, and last a long time. no fall out, no smudges, and i believe you can buy it in waterproof as well. i used to buy this online, but there's a nyx store in the mall near me, and my local drug store just got nyx products, i couldn't live without their makeup. it's perfect, just buy it and be happy.

Hands down, my favorite mascara. I occasionally go ahead and try something new, but I invariably come back to this mascara. I have thin, wimpy eyelashes, and this mascara applies evenly without clumping, and enhances the look of my lashes. It stays put and doesn't flake off onto my cheeks (like the new mascara I foolishly tried today, actually!) I will keep coming back to Doll Eye Long Lash.

NYX has a new customer in me. This mascara is wonderful. It held up to a "post break up 12 hour cry session" and an 85 degree sweaty softball game in which I cried after a runner crushed the side of my foot. No streaks either time! It comes off pretty well in the shower too (with a little help from a makeup wipe). I definitely see myself buying this again.

I have spent many years looking for waterproof mascara. I was using the RMK mascara with a white base on one side and mascara on the other and it was wonderfully waterproof. However, I've been told the product has been discontinued this year so I had to go off on another search! It must be my face structure, skin condition (oily) and the climate here in HK (very humid), but I find it extremely hard to find mascara that doesn't give me panda eyes. And it can be a huge waste of money to "search"! But I have finally found my holy grail! This NYX mascara is amazing. There is no base unlike the RMK mascara, but for some reason it's extremely waterproof! I've cried and sweated with it and even walked in the rain with it. But not a drop goes onto my face. When you wash it off it comes off in fibres, which some people may not like. But my RMK one was like that too. Because it doesn't come off as "ink" I suppose it means it's more waterproof. Anyway, price is very reasonable, quality of the product is good. Here ends my search! I have used lots of other NYX products and I've loved them all so far.

I love this mascara. I know that's silly but if you're reading this review, you are where I was a year ago. Have you also looked up several articles about the best mascara? Same. Uggh.Anyway, this stuff is great. But if you're looking for some miracle mascara that makes you look like Zooey Deschanel with one application that will last all day, that's not possible. Here's what you have to do:1. Curl your eyelashes. You have to. There's no way around it.2. Use this mascara.I have tried all three of these formulas but always come back to the waterproof. They all do their respective jobs (length, volume, staying put as waterproof) but waterproof is thick and lasts all day. You do have to use make-up remover to get it off (but hey, you have to clean your face anyway). Combine this mascara with a good eyelash curler (I use and recommend Professional Eyelash Curler - Never Needs Refill Pads! - Doesn't Pinch Or Pull! - Best Curl For Full Eyelashes With Cute Pink Packaging) and you're good to go!I apply this once, in one coat, once a day and I'm set for the day.Why waterproof? As a scientist who is female, I need something that lasts through lots of crying and falling in love too!For real though, this is great. Just try it.

I bought this because my normal go-to mascara was almost out. That one was good, but made my lashes pretty crusty and hard, which wasn't what I wanted. I tried out this product on a whim. I'd never heard of it before, but the reviews seemed good enough, so I went ahead and ordered. When I received it, I opened it up and thought the brush seemed pretty small. When you're applying the first coat of the product it doesn't seem to be doing much. The second coat really brings it together! My lashes look so much longer and so dark! It separates them nicely (I don't have thick lashes, so it's ugly when they clump) and looks amazing. It works well on bottom lashes too, which is a big plus. Highly recommended!

So I have been using this particular mascara for a while! I just recently bought the Urban Decay "Trouble Maker" and it does NOT compare. UD is not water proof and it gave me serious raccoon eyes, plus it did not give me volume or length! I even bought the falsies without the "Flare" and it was a disappointment! The FLARE makes the difference, and it is Waterproof!! I LOVE IT!!

I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun as far as mascara goes and this continually beats any high-end product at Sephora. A word to the wise: whenever I get a new one, I wipe the brush with a tissue to get the excess off for the first few applications when there's a ton of product in the tube. After a few applications, this isn't a problem. This mascara has that PERFECT dryness element that allows you to build very long, thick (but not too thick) lashes without any clumps. Even the non-waterproof version is pretty resistant to sweat/water/etc...LOVEEE!!

This mascara is great. Does NOT smear or flake which is the worst thing a mascara can do. Has a GREAT wand and works well to make lashes big and fluffy as well as defined. Highly recommend if you're looking for a false lash look.

Great mascara! Waterproof, which is my go to for anything involving my eyes. It does take a bit to get it off but if you use an oil cleanser it comes right off with no issues. I like a thick, tons of mascara look and this works great. I put it on over Clinique primer and it looks fantastic.

I have sensitive eyes so I've tried my fair share of mascaras and eyeliners. I like this one because it doesn't get clumpy but it does enhance my lashes and make them look fuller and longer. I've added some before and after photos of my right eye plus a side by side with my left eye naked and my right eye with only this mascara. I'm an armature when it comes to applying makeup so if I can make it look this good with 4 swipes of the brush just imagine how good you can make it look!!

THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU for not going to that horrid plastic brush!!! I have bought several mascara's that have it and I hate them! For fine lashes those plastic brushes don't cover at all, or worse are clumpy!The brush is very good on this, it is curved so it is very effective in getting the corners of the eye. I don't know if there is a waterproof version, but that would be nice... the coverage is very good and not clumpy.Tip: Warm all mascaras a little before applying. You can do this with warm water or by placing in your arm pit while applying your foundation. (Your arm pit is very warm and will warm the bottle quickly, and don't ewwww me! LOL my pits are clean) Anyway, this is the best way to apply mascara to get great coverage and even without clumps.

This mascara is pretty good. I have others that I like more, but this one isn't bad. It has lengthening fibers in it so it's definitely good for that. However, it is NOT a tubing mascara, which is what I wanted, and in the Q&A on this product it said it was.

This mascara's major strength is its separating ability - it does not clump as other mascaras I've tried. I've been on the hunt for a subtle mascara that still delivers discreet volume and length, not looking too obvious. I do not have the most glamorous natural lashes (light and short) but this mascara gives them a much welcomed boost. I would say this mascara does a little everything, it offers length, volume, and a little curl, very dollish indeed. If you're looking for an overly dramatic mascara, this is a no go. But a simple, all-purpose mascara without clump-overload at a fairly inexpensive price? I don't like to go super duper heavy on eye makeup; I just want to put on mascara that will last throughout the day and be dark enough to make my eyes pop! I have problems with "waterproof" products smearing all over the place due to oily skin around my eyes, but this product has not caused me ANY issues with smearing! I would have given it five stars, except it gets kinda chunky when you go to remove it...it's not DIFFICULT to remove, per say, it just does that thing where black flakes come off as you're wiping. Though, maybe it's that chunky texture that makes it so reliably waterproof...

I think this mascara is a little over hyped, as I have used equal to better mascara. And it WILL flake if messed with once dry. I have yet to find a truly flake free mascara. As for the doll eye look...meh. If you want significant volume/length, you have to apply at least two coats. I have used Maybelline Turbo Boost for years and it is just as good if not better for volume. But yeah, this mascara is pretty decent.

I have a problem with a lot of mascaras and can never find one I like. I want what's seemingly impossible: a natural feel with a dramatic look. I hate how a lot of typical brands dry stiff and crunchy, irritate my eyes and make me want to pull my eyelashes out. I switched to trying brands that claimed to be all natural but most of them look like you're not even wearing it! No help at all for my fine lashes. Some people love the natural look but if i'm going to the trouble of putting makeup i at least want it to be visible.So I arbitrarily decided to try this one. It has great dark coverage, very black, and also layers on well for enough thickening and lengthening effect that I was satisfied with how it looks. But even better, it did NOT dry crunchy and stuff and painful on my lashes! It's a little hard but still pretty flexible comparatively. It dried out my lashes a bit but I used a good eye moisturizer, so no damage done.Also, in my experience, a lot of mascara brands dry out to be basically unusable way too fast. I'll get maybe a month of easy application and then it gets too thick and crumbly and flaky and won't stick to my lashes. (I'm not leaving the lid off or anything! I think it's the arid climate I live in) THIS brand, however, has not had that problem. It got a little dryer over time of course, but is still perfectly usable after a few months.I will try a few other brands before I declare this my one true mascara but I will definitely remember it.

I've tried hoards of mascaras. This wears very well for morning to late afternoon. It will get you through a work day. And it doesn't run or bleed, so that's a great perk. But by evening, it flakes a little bit. Comes off easily with remover; doesn't require a waterproof remover or anything. It's very black, which I like. But the appicator is a little skimpy. I like fullness, so it's not my favorite. If you like separated lashes, this will be a good wand for you. It's also nice and long, which I like. Overall, a pretty good product.

The curved wand gives half the results of an eyelash curler without the extra trouble, and the wand does well at separating and defining my lashes. Lengthening qualities, I can't preach on, as I have naturally long lashes. However, I've already had issues with clumping (after 3-4 weeks of use and the absolute minimum of air exposure only while applying the product with the brush, and I always make sure I'm not breathing into the canister as I'm applying, because I will do anything I can to avoid clumps!), and I'm not pleased about that. I've also noticed that this mascara is not entirely waterproof, as it crumbles under my eyes in the shower the next morning (usually just under 24 hours later), but this is even after using two types of makeup removers the night before, leading to both its downfall and greatest strength: IT WILL NOT COME OFF. If you wear an eye mask or sleep on your stomach, you're going to want to use a stronger makeup remover before sleeping if you want to avoid racoon eyes. Sometimes a shower will melt it at night, but I just want it to come off of my face into a pad I'm holding in my hand, not melting onto my face!4/5. It's a good mascara, but it infuriates me to the extent that I absolutely will not be buying it again.

Love it ...one of the best and I have tried them all... dark thicker..but not flaky...

This mascara is an "oldie but goodie." It really gives my natural lashes definition and volume. The wand is great for getting my lower lashes as well and it is not too bulky that it touches my skin (I hate bulky mascara wands). I have nothing bad to say about this mascara.

I've used a different brand for 100 years but I thought I'd give it a try and I really like it. So now I have a new mascara!

I gave this four stars because it burns my eyes a little when I put it on, the fumes (alcohol I guess) but otherwise I love this and I will continue to use it and keep it on amazon subscribe and save. Build up a few layers and you have awesome lashes that LAST, and last, and last. Even with eye makeup remover...they kinda last. You might hate that part but I'll live with it for beautiful nights.

I am looking for a new mascara that is reasonably priced and easily available. It seems my old kind was wearing off so quickly. This kind definitely does last longer, which I appreciate! My only complaint is that it isn't totally waterproof...at the beach (never even had my head in the water) it ended up running all over my face which looked rather scary. I also don't do a great job fully removing it at bedtime, and it will smear on my pillow. So, not perfect but my favorite so far due to longer-lasting wear as well as price.

Finding the perfect mascara for my extremely thin & straight eye lashes continues to be an on-going battle I have. I bought the waterproof version of this mascara, and although it works as described (darkens, thickens), it doesn't lengthen or curl my eyelashes as much as I'd like. It required about 3 full coats before it reached its full potential. If you let it dry between coats, it gets really hard and crunchy, making it impossible to add more layers - and it dries pretty quickly. Other than that, it works pretty well for a mascara this inexpensive. I wish there were more fibers and lengthened my eyelashes better, but for someone who already has naturally long/thick/curled eyelashes this mascara would be great. I still recommend trying it out even though it didn't work for me.

I couldn't make up my mind between the Long Lash and Volume versions of this mascara, and since they're under $10 each, I just ordered both and figured I could compare and contrast them. As has been noted on previous reviews, the Long Lash mascara just doesn't provide enough volume. Also, the containers look almost identical, so I put some masking tape around one of them to distinguish them. The fibers seem OK, but they don't always work all that well. Sometimes I'll get lucky and most of my lashes will get fibers, but most of the time, only a few do, and if I keep sweeping mascara on my lashes to try to get more to stick, the wand will pick up the fibers that have already been deposited. I think that a mascara that has a separate tube of fibers would probably be more effective. That said, I came up with a way that gives me the highest ratio of success... That is to hit my lashes with one layer of the Long Lash product, and immediately, while my lashes are still wet, go back over them with the volume mascara. This eliminates most of the clumping problem that I usually experience with multiple coats of mascara, and gives me a little length and a lot of volume, while still keeping my lashes separated. I'm pleased with that combination, and especially for the price, that method I would give 5 stars.

i don't know what it is abbout this mascara. i like the effect. however, i'm use to putting on Several layers. with this mascara, i must be very attentive and put it on all at one time. instead of put one layer on, come back and put another layer on. if i wait too long, my lashes are dry and it's extremely difficult to add another layer. i am allergic to most all mascaras, but my eyes didn't water with this one. at the end of the day, it was difficult to remove. i thought Lancomme was difficult to remove......... so, it's very good in some aspects but has it's drawbacks. the brush was firm. i do not like those new rubber flimsy brushes. so, give it a try !!!!

I like this but it doesn't give the amount of coverage that I normally get from Maybelline's Great Lash. However, I do appreciate the fact that this doesn't come off the eyelashes as easily.... rarely any smearing or pooling under the eye lashes. Also, I like the brush because it grabs my thin lashes under the eye. My only gripe is that I must not have gotten a good batch because it started clumping not too long after the first or second use.

I'm still searching for my Holy Grail of mascaras, because this isn't it. That said, though, this is a decent one. I'm not sure what the difference is between "extreme black" and regular black (or, in some brands, very black, intense black, blackest black, etc) but this mascara is certainly black, so there's that.This mascara does provide some volume to the lashes, and doesn't clump too badly. I wouldn't try it without a good eyelash comb at the ready though as those clumps do still happen. Furthermore, the manner in which it adds volume to my lashes seems really uneven. I'm not sure why, but it is impossible to get a symmetrical application. I sometimes end up looking like I didn't put mascara on one eye at all and stuck false eyelashes to the other. It may be that I am merely unskilled in mascara application, but it isn't a problem I've had with others. I don't even have a conjecture as to why this is!The biggest problem I've had with this one is that it doesn't last long enough. I have some long days, and this just can't keep up. After a few hours, it'll start flaking off and getting black specks on my face and around my eyes.While I can't give this one a wholehearted recommendation, there are definitely worse mascaras out there.

I was really ecstatic when I received this in the mail because of the high ratings. But when I first opened the tube, the mascara itself was very drying. There were no glossy shine at all to indicate that it had some moisture left inside the tube. I really was going to toss the product but thought to myself, there has to be ways to fix this. I heard that some girls actually microwave their mascara tubes for a few seconds so it would thin out the consistency to a more liquid form. I googled and found that putting the tube in boiling water and taking it out in a few minutes (2-3) will actually make it appear like new. I did this trick and needless to say, it worked! This mascara is comparable to drugstore brand mascaras. Nothing really special about it. But at least I learned a new trick of how to salvage an extremely drying mascara. I may purchase this again in the future from a different seller just to compare the quality. I just also started using Latisse. Maybe when my eyelashes do grow out more luscious, then this mascara may give it more of the doll-like effect it claims to do. We shall see.

Maybe I got an old one but it seemed dry and sticky.

Nice color, goes on well. But still crumbles by the end of the day. This is the second time I've bought it to try. I won't buy again.

CLUMPS BADLY

I pretty much only use Maybelline waterproof mascara because it's the only waterproof mascara that doesn't flake off in my eye. This one is true to that issue. I've tried almost every different mascaras that Maybelline has made. I'm not a big fan of the brush on this one. It's too flexible. I really don't get any volume/lift.

I still get "raccoon eyes", I thought it being water proof that wouldn't happen? And it does clump when applying. I find if I wipe the wand, it applies better, no clumps.

I will not buy this again. I usually like the brand, but havent tried this version. Not sure if it is how it is supposed to be or a bad/old item. But it seemed old...and for water proof it smudged. I will stick to the other versions of Maybelline or other brands... may try this again from a store, only because I have hear of older products being shipped. I love my make up stores with quality product and easy exchange

It's okay for the price, worth it to spend more and get better quality makeup

Goes on easily, and looks good enough, though not the best mascara I've ever used. My complaint is that it takes a serious amount of effort to get it off, and when it does come off, it peels off like the rubber retreads from a truck tire. We are talking several minutes with the makeup remover every day. Granted, it is waterproof, so if you are frequently swimming or in the line of a firehose, this stuff is probably awesome. I like "Its So Big" mascara much better, but I tried this to see if I could find something comparable for the price...I guess I will keep trying.

I bought this mascara because it was rated the number one selling mascara according to Amazon. Well, it's not bad the first week but unremarkable. It's just like any other Mascara out there but the main problem is that it dries up very fast and you can only apply one coat. It dries on lashes in seconds and applying another coat doesn't do anything. I'm still on a quest for the best mascara and so far it's Falsies by believe it or not by Maybelline. I have no problem with spending $30.00 for a Mascara so this is not a $ issue. I've tried many of them. Difinicils used to be my favorite but I think since they've gotten so popular they cheapened the formula and give you less to make even more money. It's not the same. I'm still looking and it's not because I have short lashes, I have fairly long lashes but I want them to look even longer and thicker of course. I'm still on the hunt.

I ordered the NYX Doll Eye Mascara in Extreme Black Waterproof. I was pretty excited about getting this mascara after reading the reviews. It almost sounded magical! It was delivered on time and the packaging was fine. But there are some obvious problems with it, as well as some good things.Pros:Not hard to remove which causes less irritation of the eyes.Not flakyFlexible feeling, not like my eyelashes are all crunchy after applyingLashes look longerCons:Not very waterproof at all, comes off easily (as stated above)Can't hold a curl if it's life depended on itClumps lashes and doesn't comb out well at all. Can't apply multiple layers at all, it only makes it horrendously worse!No volumeEven though there are equal number of pros and cons about this mascara, what I'm looking for in one is not in this one. It's very important to me that the mascara can hold a curl, add volume, and not clump up. I did discover though that if you curl the lashes after they have dried, it holds some kind of curl, but I hate doing that since it pulls out lashes. I like to curl my lashes prior to applying and this mascara is not made for that. If you curl after applying, than this make work better for you...if you already have voluminous lashes.

I am disappointed with this one.....it goes on very heavy....even after I wipe the brush down. I wouldn't even dare to layer it on 2 or 3 times as many others do. I like fluffy, light, separated looking lashes and this one isn't doing it for me :( The only thing I like about this item is that the brush has a flat end that is good to use as a liner on the bottom lashes, I like to smudge it.UPDATE: so I have been using this one for couple of months and I guess it dried out a bit,.....it goes on much better now....I can even sometimes manage fluffy, natural looking, non-clumpy lashes ....so.....it gets better with use :) The sad thing is-this mascara is very hard to remove. Unless you have a very very good cleanser, you gonna have to use eye makeup remover afterall to make sure that you get it all off.....don't like loosing my lashes :) I am going to leave the rating at 2 stars still. I am going to try another mascara once I use up this one.

Fell for the price and description of extreme lash lengthening, however in real life the mascara was on the dry side and it did not do much at all for my lashes.Perhaps I just got some old stock (who knows since they don't date these products - which they absolutely should do!) but name of this mascara is totally misleading, but for someone who wants a minimal and natural looking eyelash, this would be a good choice.

Clumps and the brush is flexible which was different.

The brush is fine, the mascara is fine but the wand is very flimsy, which makes controlled application very difficult. This product needs a rigid wand.

The brush wasnt stiff and bended as I was trying to apply. Messy....theyre are better options in mascara..plus it flaked off, and transferred onto under my brow bone. I expect a waterproof mascara to perform better. I even had a primer and Mac Paintpot eyeshadow on which we all know prevents mascara transference .

This mascara hurts my eyes. I'm not usually sensitive to make up - eyeliner or mascara - but this particular brand made my eyes itch and burn. The original application was great and the lashes looked great and extended well with multiple applications. The mascara itself was difficult to remove and would crumble off in annoying little pellets. I found myself wiping under my eyes WAY more than I should be and wiping away excess deteriorating black crusty mascara. Ugh. Makes me want to stick to false lashes altogether.

I had high expectations for this product based on the reviews here. I have to say I'm disappointed. The brush is flimsy, it doesn't build up on my lashes at all. I won't buy this again. It doesn't compare to my smashbox mascara at all. For the proce though, I'm sure its better than others I've tried in that $5.00 price range.

Maybe I misunderstood the product, but I thought this was a fiber lash that was supposed to add volume to my lashes. It does not. The brush does nothing to my uncurled lashes, but I've never found a brush shape that actually does anything other than coat my lashes, so maybe it's me. I'll stick with my L'Oreal Voluminous as it does a better job of making my real lashes look fuller. This Maybelline mascara is not a bad mascara, just not "special" or worth a change from your favorite.

This is awful. As others have stated - it just is a soggy clumpy mess. The mascara is all on the stick part of the wand in great huge masses. none will stay on the wand. Unusable. Depositing directly to the trash.

Yuck! This mascaras brush doesn't scrape enough of the product off on the pull-out. You're left with huge clumps of black that's hard to distribute because the other parts of the brush have bigger clumps of mascara

I'm incredibly disappointed. This mascara is clumpy and there is no color to it. I had read great reviews, so I even gave it another shot by ordering a replacement. The replacement was exactly the same.I am attaching pictures so you can see for yourself. The pictures I took of the clumps on the wands were taken AFTER I had plunged, stirred, and mixed the product with the wand. The pic of my eyelashes was taken AFTER I applied multiple coats, top AND bottom lashes. I know I'm fair-skinned, but this is ridiculous! And the pic of the smears on white paper shows the color that comes off each wand (almost nothing!) compared to my regular mascara (far right).I even checked the expiration dates- 9/2016. So they are not expired.I'm truly disappointed. I had read great reviews and I loved that this company doesn't test on animals. I'd really like to know what happened!

This mascara was in very bad condition when I opened it , felt greasy even though the package was completely sealed and the mascara was very very very dry inside and when I took out the stick it was with little clumps of the dry mascara on the stick. I returned and requested a replacement. I will see now what I receive!!---terrible product once received a replacement it was once again Kumpe dry not able to be used

It's totally different of what I was expecting; even the presentation, I didn't use it in my eyes because I can't trust what I see, It has lumps and it's very liquid, like water with lumps. I'm very dissapointed cause I love this brand and I was very happy to buy this mascara.

I gave the product a low rating because the the reason I use waterproof is because I have very straight lashes. AFter curling my lashes waterproof mascara locks the curl in place. I have tried many waterproof mascaras that are inexpensive to expensive from Maybelline waterproof which is good as well as lash stiletto waterproof also very good. I recently tried Dior waterproof and was very disappointed. Sadly, this one does not set my lashes at all.

I receive one totally dry...

I very seldom use mascara and since I bought it I hardly used it and found it was going empty...... now there is nothing left in it....... It was not expensive and now I know why............. there was hardly anything in it.......... disappointed indeed.

I received and OLD product. It's DRY and flakes all over my lids. I look like a raccoon within an hour! Mascara is only good for THREE month, it expires quicker than ANY other beauty product. This seller is taking ADVANTAGE of Amazon customers by sending expired mascara when they really should be thrown away! Please bear in mind that this could effect the health of your eyes!

The mascara i received was very dry and poor quality. The product was goopy and very hard to apply. I have used this brand and type of mascara half a dozen times and have purchased it other places and have never had this problem. Very disappointed.

I've been using mascara since I was a teenager, I'm now a senior, and NEVERTALES had flaking until I used this mascara. It's awful! I used Maybelline always. Why does this flake? I don't know, but I won't buy it again. Color me VERY disappointed.
