Best mascara ever! Goes on thick but not clumpy. Give my lashes a ton of volume. In the first week I started using it two people asked me if I was wearing fake eyelashes. I like the brush, it's not big and fat so I don't poke myself in the eye. It's crazy waterproof to the point I need makeup removing oil to get it off. I don't see this as a problem but it is a pain to get off.

I used to have a hard time with my mascara/eyeliner running due to irritation. Now I can put this on once and spend hours outside with sun and wind in my eyes no problems. I also like that I can curl my lashes much better with this than I could my last mascara. The wand on this allows for very separated lashes. I will continue buying this! Tip: get waterproof makeup remover!

this mascasra is awesome. makes my eyelashes look super long (mine are non existant lol). it is just really hard to get off (even with an eye makeup remover)

I'm not a brand loyalist. Really. Not picky about clothes, food, or much of anything. But this mascara? This is a must. I've never had irritation, clumping, or issues with it rubbing off. I'll occasionally get darkness under my eyes, but I think that's just the way my eyes are shaped- I've always had that problem.

I've been using this for over 5 years. Highly recommend it! It gives me the volume I'm seeking for and the length without any clumping. I've been asked whether I wear fake lashes! It really is that wonderful.

Why can't I buy this locally anymore? The only color in stores is black. My fair coloring needs brown, so fortunately I am able to order through Amazon--thank you! I teach exercise and dance, and after sweating all day, this mascara has stayed put and not run into my eyes or made rings below them.

I have used this mascara for years. I have tried other mascara and always seem to go back to this. I like the brown black color which for some reason seems to be hard to find in stores, hence the Amazon purchase. This does not clump, but goes on smooth. It lasts all day and does not flake off or smudge. Paired with the L'Oreal Voluminous Base Coat, this mascara is awesome and gives just the right amount of volume without make lashes look fake.

I had been hearing great things about this masacara for years but remained unconvinced that a $5-$6 mascara could out-perform a pricey department store brand. Fast forward to my $25 department store thickening mascara. I liked how it lengthened and thickened my lashes but I didn't like how clumpy the formulation was. So, I decided to order the Voluminous mascara and instantly fell in love with it. It doesn't clump, and my lashes are beautifully defined and lengthened I'm one coat! I will definitely buy this product again!

Most Mascaras irritate my eyes. Even the expensive brands that promise to be gentle bought behind counters at department stores. And I'd pretty much given up on them for the last decade.But I decided to try again. And I am glad that I did! NO PROBLEMS. I am so happy about that.

this is my fav mascara, i dont know why but i feel like mascara doesn't not stay on well for me, i dont think i blink a million times a day, maybe i do!??! A girl at Ulta recommended this one to me, and it is a must have for me now!

This is my GO TO mascara! It's the best ... I get black waterproof - goes on quickly and easily and you can add a 2nd coat quickly. I LOVE it! I use waterproof eye makeup remover (cover girl) and it takes it right off. Why spend a fortune? Just get a few of these and have one in the car, purse and vanity area!

I really like this mascara! I like the old fashioned brush because it applies the mascara very easily. The mascara goes on smoothly, no clumping. My eyelashes look feathery, and soft. The mascara lengthens and darkens my lashes without looking artificial. No smudging after a long day, no flaking either. I use baby oil to remove this waterproof mascara before bedtime. I am very happy with this mascara, and will definitely order again.

Only waterproof that really stays on.

I use this with an eyelash curler and another maybelline mascara that is for volume. This one covers the length of the lashes, but buy itself I feel that it lacks volume.

So far I really like it. I have asian eyes and most mascaras rub off on my lids, but so far this does not seem to transfer as much as the others.Update: after wearing this for a while i realized how much more it smudged. I had to downgrade the rating simply because it smeared and wasn't good for me. I have monolid eyes and They smudge. Looks great going on but doesn't last the day. For people with monolid eyes this won't last. But I'm sure this would be fine for those that don't.

As often times it happens, you find a product you like and are willing to pay full retail for, and then . . . you can't find it any longer, as it's been replaced by "something new"! This is a great mascara - I need waterproof because I wear contacts and I like the brownish-black color it comes in (not just harsh black). It gives my fine lashes the perfect emphasis without the BIG BIG false look that is the current trend -- however, that too can be achieved if you just keep reapplying.

Love it, but I can only use at the lash line near the eyelid, not all over the lashes from root to tip. Carbon black formula is very dark, so it is perfect for defining eyes--but it will definitely smear with long wear, or when removing it.Nice a smooth, not clumpy, easy to apply and wear. Good price, good quality.

product is very good, it is difficult for me to find brown mascara and I prefer it to black. I am fair skinned with brown eyes. It is better for me to use dark brown than black. Black is hard looking..

I have used this before and I like it. i have sensitive eyes and it does not seem to bother them at all.

A much lower price than I pay at the store-this is my go to mascara, topped with Maybeline Ultra Lash.

I find it's better to apply several coats with drying time between.

It smeared more often and more easily than I expected. The last mascara I had before this one was a cheap, impulse buy. You know, the kind of stuff they put close to the cashier at a Victoria Secret - and that one turned out to be really great. This one, not so much. I don't like raccoon eyes. It's advertised as waterproof, so I did not expect it to flake off when I touched my face. Especially if you wear contact lenses I wouldn't recommend this version. Other Maybelline products I have used were better. On the plus side, it's jet black.

It lasts and has very little clumping. The but brush could be better and it is not great for skimpy bottom lashes.

I had hoped that I would love this mascara, but no. The brush is too long and the tip gets in the way of applying it. The brush also has very hard bristles and can stratch the lid line. The application requires more than two coats and it really doesn't lengthen the lashes much.

His mascara looked great when I put it on. Thick long lashes, no clumps. Fast forward a couple hours and I look like Courtney Love's mug shot. I don't know why. I tried making sure there wasn't excess moisturizer on my face, made sure I set my eyeshadow first. Boom, crack whore look next time I look in the mirror. Waterproof? Not sure, but it seems to not be air resistant. Sadly disappointed...

Not a bad product but there are better products than this one. This seems very dry and not easy to keep from drying out and clumping. I'm wondering if the formula changed because it didn't used to be like that. I ordered it 4-5 times thinking maybe I got a bad batch but they all were the same.

I have to say, I am really disappointed with this mascara. I previously used the hydrofudge waterproof, so I expected this to perform just as well. But every time I use this, I end up with black eyes within just a few hours. It's like it's not waterproof, although it says waterproof on the tube. I'm not sure if I just got a bad tube or what, but I definitely wouldn't purchase this again.

its thin ... you have to dip the applicator numerous times for each eye in order to get a result. it is not voluminuous like I thought it would be due to the name. I've used this years ago and it obviously changed .

I was excited to try this mascara because I wear contacts, live in the south,and need waterproof formula. Disappointed!It was dried up and clumped on my eyes lashes as soon as I put it on.

It could have been this particular mascara container, but it was very dried out. I used it one time and that's all I will be able to use it. Very disappointed in the product. I purchased after this specifically after reading reviews from another source other than Amazon. Will not buy again.

I was hoping this mascara would do as much as my discontinued Lash Stylist but it disappoints. I have wimpy Asian lashes and this just gives me very thin spiky lashes that does not wow at all. It does hold my curl but I think any waterproof mascara can do that. Oh well, back to my search for a dupe to Lash Stylist.

This mascara definitely makes my lashes look longer and the waterproof staying power is great. Unfortunately, it clumps very easily making it difficult to apply. More often than not, I am not happy with the way it looks. I would not purchase again.

I bought this with higher expectations from what I've read from the reviews. It clumps easily and if I take a different lash wand to seperate it, it takes away my length. Not a fan of this.

Although it goes on well, without clumping, and looks okay, it does irritate my eyes no matter how carefully or minimally that I apply it.

I really wanted to love this ! I read a lot of beauty blogs that recommend the original not waterproof , it had wonderful reviews . For me it flaked and it didn't look so well on my mature skin . I did try both and had the same issues and this is the reason for trying waterproof . Back to the search ...

Not remotely as good as regular voluminous.Do not assume that this is just a waterproof formula of voluminous. It is dry and flakes into eyes.

I have used this for many years, but this Mascara is old or it was stored in too much heat, it is crumbly and does not apply well.Not at all the Quality L'Oreal has...

I'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect mascara. I have watery eyes from allergies and a daily sunscreen-wearing habit, all of which tends to result in raccoon eyes by the end of the day. On initial application, this mascara is beautiful: it's dark, it builds well without becoming overly clumpy, and it really does result in wispy, voluminous lashes with a good amount of length, too. Many volume-focused formulas skimp on length, so I appreciate this. However, this mascara smudges like few other formulas that I've tried, and no amount of primer seems to prevent this. If you are blessed with drier lids than mine, this could look great on you (and my sister-in-law swears by this mascara), but if your mascara habits are more like a never-ending quest, this sadly isn't going to change your life.

Says it is waterproof and it is not waterproof at all

Made my lashes stiff and pointy. Asked for a refund.

It did not do anything for my lashes, it did not elongate my alshes or make it thicker. would not buy again, going abck to my mary kay.

it was nicely packaged and all but when I opened it to try the product. The substance was extremely dry, hardly got anything from it. It did not reach my expectations.

The product is NOT waterproof. Mine as well came pretty empty. It takes more applications than other mascaras to do the job. Will not buy again, would not recommend.

How in the world is this considered a great product blows my mind. I used it once and gave it away who someone who now only uses it on her bottom lashes. You literally see nothing after you apply this sorry excuse for a mascara. I should have no better buying a "Maybelline", but lesson learned and never again.

Even though I don;t touch my eye during the day, when I come home from work, I have raccoon eyes every day. I wouldn't mind if it looked like smokey eye but this just looks messy. I never had this issue with another mascara. I would never buy this again and would not recommend.

This takes multiple applications just to look decent... which it really doesn't compared to other products. I should not have followed other reviewers when selecting this. It seemed like it was laying around for years or something because the product was nearly dry. Definitely will never buy again.

Underwhelmed by this mascara. Brush is not great and mascara is gloopy.

Completely dried up. Looked as if the product was 5 years old. Do yourself a favor and go to CVS. Oh and I tried to return it and couldn't get my money back, what a con.

Poor quality mascara, the brush is too small for the bottle entry, resulting in having to clean out thoroughly before use which damages brush faster than usual, mascara does not stay on all day and clumps easily on application.

not pleased with this mascara...chunks badly, "melts" throughout day. End up looking like a raccoon. Not what I would call waterproof.
