I found a new mascara. It's rather perfect. no spider lashes, no smearing, no fading. just simple lash paint that I don't have to fuss over. I can put it on before work, get home and play with my twins, make lunch, sweat, rub my face, cry, and change my contacts without this deciding to rebel.Also, it comes off easy with my makeup removing liquid (Garnier Micellar Cleansing water Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover, 3.4 Fluid Ounce )

Does what it is supposed to. Don't wear mascara much so don't have as much to compare it to but it seems nice enough. Don't put to much unless you like that "spidery" look.

I am a mascara junkie always looking for the better one.I like volume and thickening but not clumps, and waterproof. Hard to find.My usual favorites are lancome Hypnose and Loreal voluminous. I like them both for volumizing but the waterproof versions are not great.Maybelline rocket really does it all. Too many mascara a that say they won't clump give little volume. Too often waterproof isn't.This one does what it says. Thickens. Lengthens. Volumizes. Does not clump and LASTS ALL DAY

I learned about the Rocket in an online blog. I was interested as I have struggled with mascara for years. Most recently, a beauty consultant sold me a fast drying one that was very expensive. I still had problems with smudging as I put it on. Then I heard about Maybelline's Rocket and decided to give it a try. WOW This is literally the first mascara I have found in years that does not smudge or splatter when putting it on. Also NO CLUMPS. I put on one coat for a more natural look and layer it for a more dramatic look. And it is one fifth the price of the other mascara I bought. I am hooked!

I absolutely love this mascara! I have never had one that I've absolutely fallen in love with before. This definitely does what it says, it adds volume to my lashes and gives me a great curl! Normally, after I curl my lashes and then apply mascara, my eyelashes don't stay as curled as I like and sometimes it takes a few strokes to get them unclumped. I have really long lashes, so of course I'd want to show them off with a nice curl, and this mascara does that for me. I've only had one other mascara brand that curled my lashes for me, but it also was really gunky and sometimes clumped my lashes together. This also does not come off easily in the shower, so it's definitely waterproof. This will now be my go-to mascara!

Current HG waterproof mascara. I've been using this for about 2-3 years now and don't plan on discontinuing use unless Maybelline decides to discontinue it like they did for my last two HG mascaras....I should say that I have naturally long and curled eyelashes, but they're on the lighter and thinner side, so this helps make them slightly thicker and slightly longer, and definitely makes them dark. I put on about 2-3 coats every day when doing my makeup and my eyelashes look very full but still natural and not flakey like a lot of other girls' mascaras I see. The waterproof formula is a bit tricky to get off however, as it should be, and has barely streaked or melted while I wear it, even while swimming in the pool or at the beach. I use Albolene to get it off with the rest of my makeup, and that seems to do the trick. Love this stuff and hope it doesn't get discontinued like Maybelline's previous mascaras that I used to use.(Included a photo of me wearing it without any other eye makeup after an 8-hour day of classes)

This is the BEST mascara I have ever found. I try lots of different brands and styles and keep coming back to this one. It lengthens your lashes and looks very natural- not spiky or clumpy. I live in fear that they will some day discontinue this... it is my must-have.

I love this mascara. I was afraid to try the Very Black because I am a blonde but they no longer make the Light Black version. It turns out to be easy to apply lightly so my lashes aren't too black. It is working very well. I like that my lashes curl and look fuller without looking overdone or dramatic. I am very pleased with this purchase.,

I order this every month. It creates dark thick lashes. I totally love it.

I've been using this waterproof full n soft mascara for decades. If they stop making it I will go into full on panic mode. I have very thin, short and delicate lashes (basically no lashes) and I apply like 20 coats of this and totally trick everyone into thinking I'm hot. I like the size of the brush perfect, and formula doesn't clump, allowing me my 45 coats of mascara. I am so in love

I don't wear waterproof mascara every day but I really like this one when I do. I find it's easy to take off with remover or in the shower and I love the brush bristles. Color was perfect. Would purchase again.

Maybelline Full 'N Soft is absolutely my favorite drugstore variety mascara. I use both the Waterpoof and non-Waterpoof varieties depending on my mood, how long I will be wearing it, and what activities I will be doing. Mascara is one of the few makeup items I wear on a daily basis, so I've gone through a lot of different varieties and brands over the years. I have managed to figure out that no mascara is perfect. But this is the best of the bunch for me at least. The brush really is full and soft, so it's very easy to put on clump-free. (For real, it goes on smooth, no clumps.) Both varieties wear well over the course of the day depending on what I'm doing. For more heat, more sweat, or longer wear, I usually go with the Waterproof though. Neither one flakes. Both can leave a little smudging in the under-eye area at the end of the day, but usually pretty minimal.

Pretty similar to the last mac mascara I used. Pleased. Would purchase again.

The mascara is good, but the brush is just okay. It's a little prone to clumping.

About me: I like mascaras that dont flake, that provide a lot of volume, separates and defines my lashes, holds a curl all day, and very very black. My lashes are about average in fullness and very straight, borderline curl-resistant. I usually prefer a dry mascara formulation to keep my lashes from being weighed down.About this mascara: It doesn't flake off, it provides moderate volume, separates and defines lashes well, holds a curl moderately well, and is quite black (but not the blackest). I don't feel this adds a ton of length to my lashes, but that isn't a value to me. I re-apply this mascara halfway into my day to maintain the volume and color of my intial application. I find recurling my lashes after I apply my first coat ensures my curl is held all day. I find this product removes well with coconut oil or any oil based makeup remover.This is perfect for an everyday casual makeup look, but perhaps not best suited for an evening/glam look. For additional drama, I recommend adding a coat of Maybelline's The Falsies (waterproof formula).TL; DRPros: doesn't flake, itsn't clumpy, seperates and defines lashes, holds curl fairly well, pretty black.Cons: not incredibly black and isn't buildable enough to take your look full glam.

This is the first mascara that I've used that claimed to be waterproof and actually was. I was starting to wonder if one could be found at around this price point, and it could. I cried, wiped my eyes, even took a shower, and it still stuck until I removed it with a towelette. It does not make my lashes as long or as thick as other mascaras, but rather it gives them a very natural and understated feminine look that I prefer. If you are looking for night club eyes look elsewhere.

It was better then I expected, not as bold as most but it is very light and makes your eye lashes look long and natural in stead of having all those nasty clumps in the eye lashes. Very nice I think I will start buying this more often. Thank u so much.

It is the only mascara I can wear that does not irritate my hyper sensitive eyes, and it doesn't smudge. I just wish it didn't have so many chemicals. I will keep using this until I find a suitable, less toxic mascara.

It's great once it's dry. Don't try to apply to lower lashes, just blink while it's wet. It covers the lower lashes well that way without getting raccoon on eyes like you get if you apply it to lower lashes

I wear minimal makeup and prefer the natural look. This doesn't clump and has a nice dark color. Doesn't run when you cry or get it wet. Has been my go to mascara, however, it does usually give you 'Racoon eyes' after a few hours. Works well, it last really long. I have to really work to take it off! It does clump a little, but not much at all. If I accidentally get some on my eye lid, it comes off easily before it sets up. Once it is set though, it lasts for a long time. I have been swimming, sweating, etc and it stays on.

This mascara is OK, it is very smooth as the name says. If you don't have natural long eyelashes I wouldn't really recommend it to you (Is like this mascara is meant to aid your eyelashes but just the way the are). Even though mines are very long and we'll shaped I had to apply like 4 coats to make them look fuller and more noticeable. It will look very nice if you have the time apply let it dry apply let it dry apply let it dry, and it is not that hard to remove (with make up remover of course).

Amazingly waterproof - TOO waterproof in fact. My makeup remover for waterproof mascara didn't work! So my eyelashes wound up getting heavy and sticking together for 2 full days - leading to losing a few eye lashes. Everything else about it is awesome. Just would like to be able to get it off!

I didn't experience any added volume from this product. The brush is nice an stiff and well-shaped, but it didn't provide any volume whatsoever. Instead, it was more like a casual, barely-there mascara I'd wear for work or weekend running around. Even after 3 coats, I didn't notice volume or length enhancement. It applies smoothly with no clumps and I like the wand, but won't purchase again for volume enhancement.

I don't care for this mascara. The brush doesn't do a very effective job of defining the lashes. Certainly doesn't add length, just fullness. It's so waterproof that I struggle to remove it even with an eye makeup remover.

love the dark color but gosh this is like putting glue on my eyelashes. In the first try it took over 7 minutes trying to wash it all away before I went to sleep. The second night I found out I had extra mascara and the same happen on the third day but I figure it was because this mascara is too sticky and it is all crumbled in between my lashes. I will just get back to my old Maybelline mascara because over all, they have great products just didn't workout with this one.

It wasn't all that for my Asian lashes...I find that the formula is quite heavy and kind of weighs my lashes down. It also doesn't build very well - gets clumpy pretty fast.I still like the L'Oréal Voluminous Million Lashes (waterproof) more.

This mascara is hard core, it is so difficult to take off at the end of the day. So if you are looking for durability of mascara, this is almost bullet proof, at least make up cloth removing proof.It goes on easily and smoothly. However, I find that it causes my lashes to be rather clumpy after a few swipes (not allowing it to dry in between). I almost wish I had a comb for my lashes before it dries.It is an ok mascara, great color and staying power, but I don't want my lashes sticking together as easily, where I can easily get 'spider' legs as lashes.

Product does not seem to be waterproof

It used to be a really good mascara but now it is very clumpy and dries out too fast. Last time I tried to switch brands I had a severe allergic reaction so I stick with this one.

Definitely not waterproof, does not even last the day in tropical heat. Difficult to apply as very little of the product comes off of the brush and coats the lashes, requiring several attempted coats. Maybe my bottle arrived dried out?

I like that this washes off easily but doesn't smudge or run throughout the day. What I'm not crazy about is that it really doesn't make my lashes look very full. I usually have to apply a good amount of coats for this to happen, which is annoying since you have to wait for each coat to dry so your lashes don't look all clumpy and sloppy. Not bad, but will probably try something else when I run out of this.

This is a decent mascara if you like the more natural looking lashes. It is waterproof but can smudge during application because it seems a thinner formula than other waterproof mascaras. Unfortunately they don't do much for my straight short lashes, and it does not hold a curl well at all. If you have naturally long and curled lashes this would be a gorgeous mascara - just one coat lengthens and I've managed up to 2 coats without noticeable clumps. 2 coats just doesn't cut it for these tiny Asian lashes though, so 3 stars...

I bought this because most of he reviews said that it didn't smudge but it definitely smudges on my face. I think it is mainly because I have a super oily face. After a few hours I got raccoon eyes. It isn't super waterproof like some mascaras still look great after being in the shower or swimming, this one isn't. But if you get teary eyes throughout the day it is still okay. Just not for oily face. It has a very natural look. I put one coat on and it doesn't make my eyelashes super volumizing or long but it still looks good. The tube is long but doesn't seem like it contains that much product in it. It holds in curls and doesn't make eyelashes brittle or flaky. It is definitely a lot softer than other mascaras and isn't a really liquidy formula. I recommend to people that want a more natural look and doesn't have a super oily face.

The product definitely gives out long lashes. My lashes tend to clump easily and my eye shape help emphasise the smudges of the mascara. It's also drying and my lashes were begging for water.

Flakes terribly and has one of those awful silicon brushes that hardly distributes any product. I regret this purchase and will not purchase again.

I was hoping that this will be it for me but apparently I have sensitive eyes and they still caused irritation in them. It was a waste of money since I stopped using it after the first use. I only gave it 2 stars because I have sensitive eyes and it didn't work for me.

The brush itself is too big once it gets dunked into the tube. It does not cover (paint) your lashes easily either. You have to apply over and over again trying to get the mascara on your lashes with little results. Clings to the brush but won't leave the brush either! I won't be buying this again that's for sure!

I like this product more than the previous versions of Maybelline I've used for 40 years. The plastic bristles are MUCH better and the end is not sharp metal which, now that I'm older, helps me to avoid poking my eye out. Much less risky for all ages, in fact, especially if applying when you're in a hurry. The mascara itself does not clump on the eyelashes and does not flake. It almost has a moisturizing feel, which I like. However, for some reason, you must put the wand in the hole more frequently, presumably because it squeegees it better than other products so there's not alot of mascara on the wand at any given time. This has taken some getting used to, but makes sense, I guess, as a way to avoid clumping. My two complaints about the product are: as you insert the wand, whatever mascara is on the wand gets left on the outside and the next time you use it (after its had time to dry), the dried mascara clumps on the wand bristles. You still have to remove it before you start each time, but if you do that, you wont have clumping on the lashes. The other big issue is that the packaging is too "fat". It doesn't fit most standard makeup holders and I don't like that. The company really missed the mark on this. Still, I like the product enough to reorder.UPDATE 9/6/2015: Yikes! This mascara causes itching and irritation! I realized that something in it I'm allergic to. I also realized the plastic/silicone wand isn't that great. Had to throw it out. Going back to a basic type mascara without the "thickening" ingredients. Changed to 2 stars.

Maybelline has been my go-to mascara for decades. However, the Express Rocket is my least favorite Maybelline product that I have ever used. If you are looking for a mascara that does not clump, you will be disappointed.Things I liked:1) putting my eye make-up on Amazon Subscription for delivery every 4-6 months - allowing me to change my eye make-up and avoid eye infections.Things I didn't like:1) The clumps...Big awkward clumps of mascara sitting on the eye lashes...2) Since I have fine eyelashes, it takes 3+ coats to apply it so it looks right, which results in -3) 3+ layers of clumps...3) Although the brush is the same size as other Maybelline mascaras, when you go to apply it, the mascara brush is covered with a thick heavy layer of mascara. To deal with this I push the brush against the neck of the tube as I withdraw it from the tube which has helped with the clumping.I have used other Maybelline mascaras that I love - but they weren't available via Amazon subscription. With all the other types of mascara, I am not sure why Maybelline thought they needed another Volume' Express mascara. One would think after making mascara for decades that Maybelline would know what they are doing. It surprises me that they released this to market with a product and a delivery system that fails to deliver.

I read really good reviews about this product and decided to purchase it despite that I do have some sensitivity and eye allergy. after a few hours of wearing it, not sweaty day at all, the mascara started coming off leading to bad irritation and raccoon eyes for the remaining of the day.

Not totally waterproof and not easily washed off with cleanser. I'm just gonna stick with the regular, non-waterproof version.

I applied one coat and it barely showed up. I wonder how any coats it will take to at least look like I tried to apply mascara. Another tube of mascara that does not produce decent results. I will try a few coats just to see exactly how many applications it takes to make a difference. I wouldn't bet the bank on it. I don't want my eyelashes to look like spider webs but I like a dark dramatic look if I am going to make the effort.

Has always been clumpy since I first opened it. The brush is so big in diameter that when you try to get mascara from the center onto your lashes, the bristles hit your eyelid and deposit mascara all over them. It is however truly waterproof. Will not buy again.

I bought this based on title "full" and "soft", only the soft part delivered. I do not feel it added anything to my lashes. I had to use a lot more than two or three strokes. I actually lost count and I still was not impressed with the results. It did not deliver on the fullness claim.

Ew. That's what I truly have to say about this product. It looked and felt good after applying a few coats but it caused itchiness not even an hour later that I had to wash it off, and it wasn't easy. The brush looked great but this product I would give zero stars if I could. Last time I'm using maybelline. I'm very disappointed but more sad by this purchase because I don't like to waste money.

I've used Volume Express mascaras in the past and really liked them. Unfortunately, not so with the Rocket Volume Express. It is RIDICULOUSLY clumpy and messy. Wiping of the excess product from the brush makes it even worse. Pretty disappointed!

horribly disappointed with this mascara. maybelline's Colossal Volume Express is far superior.. and if you are willing to spend a little more on a fantastic mascar that is waterproof & wil increase volume and length by leaps and bounds then go for Benefit's they're real mascara (have cried with it on and swam with it without leaks or streaks or clumping or any mess!). That is a wayyyyyyyy superior product!

I buy waterproof mascara so that my lashes will stay up for a while. This is the only waterproof mascara where the lashes look so bleak. Contrary to its name, it does not give full N soft lashes.

Bought this for a recent trip to Costa Rica because of the positive ratings and reviews. Smeared and smudged even before we hit the water. Utterly disappointed as my regular mascara is more "waterproof".

After using this, my lashes are neither full, nor soft. Instead, they are stiff and only slightly darker than normal.

Truly the worst mascara that I've ever used. Maybe I had a dud tube, but I even after three coats I could barely see a difference.

I applied only to my upper lashes. This looked great when first applied but I had noticeable grey smudges under my lower lashes mid-afternoon. I've used it three times, same results. I didn't expect this from a waterproof mascara.
