I found a new mascara. It's rather perfect. no spider lashes, no smearing, no fading. just simple lash paint that I don't have to fuss over. I can put it on before work, get home and play with my twins, make lunch, sweat, rub my face, cry, and change my contacts without this deciding to rebel.Also, it comes off easy with my makeup removing liquid (Garnier Micellar Cleansing water Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover, 3.4 Fluid Ounce )

Does what it is supposed to. Don't wear mascara much so don't have as much to compare it to but it seems nice enough. Don't put to much unless you like that "spidery" look.

I am a mascara junkie always looking for the better one.I like volume and thickening but not clumps, and waterproof. Hard to find.My usual favorites are lancome Hypnose and Loreal voluminous. I like them both for volumizing but the waterproof versions are not great.Maybelline rocket really does it all. Too many mascara a that say they won't clump give little volume. Too often waterproof isn't.This one does what it says. Thickens. Lengthens. Volumizes. Does not clump and LASTS ALL DAY

I learned about the Rocket in an online blog. I was interested as I have struggled with mascara for years. Most recently, a beauty consultant sold me a fast drying one that was very expensive. I still had problems with smudging as I put it on. Then I heard about Maybelline's Rocket and decided to give it a try. WOW This is literally the first mascara I have found in years that does not smudge or splatter when putting it on. Also NO CLUMPS. I put on one coat for a more natural look and layer it for a more dramatic look. And it is one fifth the price of the other mascara I bought. I am hooked!

I absolutely love this mascara! I have never had one that I've absolutely fallen in love with before. This definitely does what it says, it adds volume to my lashes and gives me a great curl! Normally, after I curl my lashes and then apply mascara, my eyelashes don't stay as curled as I like and sometimes it takes a few strokes to get them unclumped. I have really long lashes, so of course I'd want to show them off with a nice curl, and this mascara does that for me. I've only had one other mascara brand that curled my lashes for me, but it also was really gunky and sometimes clumped my lashes together. This also does not come off easily in the shower, so it's definitely waterproof. This will now be my go-to mascara!

Current HG waterproof mascara. I've been using this for about 2-3 years now and don't plan on discontinuing use unless Maybelline decides to discontinue it like they did for my last two HG mascaras....I should say that I have naturally long and curled eyelashes, but they're on the lighter and thinner side, so this helps make them slightly thicker and slightly longer, and definitely makes them dark. I put on about 2-3 coats every day when doing my makeup and my eyelashes look very full but still natural and not flakey like a lot of other girls' mascaras I see. The waterproof formula is a bit tricky to get off however, as it should be, and has barely streaked or melted while I wear it, even while swimming in the pool or at the beach. I use Albolene to get it off with the rest of my makeup, and that seems to do the trick. Love this stuff and hope it doesn't get discontinued like Maybelline's previous mascaras that I used to use.(Included a photo of me wearing it without any other eye makeup after an 8-hour day of classes)

LOVE! Plush brush and gives great volume to lashes. Was looking for a decent mascara and purchased this one based in reviews and it was a great choice! I've worn Maybelline Mascara for 50 years and I can honestly write that this version is the absolute best! Glides on easley, give long separate lashes, no clunping, no smudging. Goes on and stays on with sprays of water, crying, perspiration or sleep, it's still on and lovely the next morning (for those of you who can't bear to be seen without mascara) yet comes off with cold cream or makeup remover completely and easily. This big wand brush is amazing, and finding a true rich BROWN that's waterproof at this price is fantastic. Love this mascara. Came quickly with updates on shipping, packaged carefully in mint condition when arrived. I will certainly subscribe to receive this on a regular basis. This has been my Go-to for years ! I mean literally since whenever it came out I have been using this mascara as part of my three step mascara application. Starting off with the Falsies mascara an going over it with Pumped and final step lash discovery just to split the thickness out evenly thought your eyelashes. Try it you'll thank me!

I have tried mascaras from below this price to super high end... and this is my go-to staple for SURE! The brush is perfect, the color is true, it has a long wear, and doesn't 'clump' easily unless you do more than 2 coats. (Which is expected at that point haha.)

BEST MASCARA EVER! Man i apply this once a day and it last til the next day. I have long lashes so this product actually made my eyelashes grow.. totally not kidding. i get a lot of compliments and sometimes even get asked if my eyelashes are fake (rude but kind of good at the same time)... meaning they like it. definitely get the PUMPED UP they are talking about I soooo recommend this product. oh! I should mention when taking off the mascara, don't worry, your hairs aren't going to come out like others mascara used to give me that problem because it was wayyy too sticky. ladies, you won't turn back!

Omgosh... got this as an add-on product (it was the perfect price to get free Azon shipping) and was SO surprised to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this mascara. Truly gorgeous and sexy on on, I am a brunette with brown-blackish hair (with reddish strands), was surprised that the color was perfect and the mascara seemed to lengthen my lashes with use. My lashes look prettier than they do with the organic brand that I use (PF) and I am so happy to have discovered this by accident! Amazing find. Happy shopping~*

The mascara is good, but the brush is just okay. It's a little prone to clumping.

About me: I like mascaras that dont flake, that provide a lot of volume, separates and defines my lashes, holds a curl all day, and very very black. My lashes are about average in fullness and very straight, borderline curl-resistant. I usually prefer a dry mascara formulation to keep my lashes from being weighed down.About this mascara: It doesn't flake off, it provides moderate volume, separates and defines lashes well, holds a curl moderately well, and is quite black (but not the blackest). I don't feel this adds a ton of length to my lashes, but that isn't a value to me. I re-apply this mascara halfway into my day to maintain the volume and color of my intial application. I find recurling my lashes after I apply my first coat ensures my curl is held all day. I find this product removes well with coconut oil or any oil based makeup remover.This is perfect for an everyday casual makeup look, but perhaps not best suited for an evening/glam look. For additional drama, I recommend adding a coat of Maybelline's The Falsies (waterproof formula).TL; DRPros: doesn't flake, itsn't clumpy, seperates and defines lashes, holds curl fairly well, pretty black.Cons: not incredibly black and isn't buildable enough to take your look full glam.

This is the first mascara that I've used that claimed to be waterproof and actually was. I was starting to wonder if one could be found at around this price point, and it could. I cried, wiped my eyes, even took a shower, and it still stuck until I removed it with a towelette. It does not make my lashes as long or as thick as other mascaras, but rather it gives them a very natural and understated feminine look that I prefer. If you are looking for night club eyes look elsewhere.

It was better then I expected, not as bold as most but it is very light and makes your eye lashes look long and natural in stead of having all those nasty clumps in the eye lashes. Very nice I think I will start buying this more often. Thank u so much.

Doesn't beat my favorites but it does beef up your lashes! A little clumpy for my taste, and doesn't seem to lengthen mine very much though.

I used to be terrible about replacing my mascara on the regular, but that problem has now been solved thanks to Amazon's Subscribe & Save program. I asked my makeup artist friend for a mascara recommendation and she suggested I try this one. She did not steer me wrong! The waterproof version of this mascara *is* truly waterproof; I run and work out all the time while wearing it and have never had a problem with my mascara running. It can stand up to a LOT of sweat.The only thing I don't love is the shape of the brush; I have to clean off extra product with a tissue before applying; otherwise, my lashes tend to look a little clumpy. For the price (and how often I'm replacing it now), I really can't complain.

I love this brand & style however didn't realize it's waterproof, I like the non waterproof for daily wear, so make sure to read before purchase to get the right one but that being said the waterproof is great too

Takes several coats to get my desired look, but I always apply several coats regardless of what mascara I use. The glam brown color is still quite dark and nearly black, but I prefer it even with my black hair as I think black mascaras can sometimes look too harsh. I've been using the formula for several months now and although I keep repurchasing, I do feel like it dries out a bit too quickly. Doesn't really flake throughout the day, though, and is easy enough to remove with an oil cleanser.

Amazingly waterproof - TOO waterproof in fact. My makeup remover for waterproof mascara didn't work! So my eyelashes wound up getting heavy and sticking together for 2 full days - leading to losing a few eye lashes. Everything else about it is awesome. Just would like to be able to get it off!

I didn't experience any added volume from this product. The brush is nice an stiff and well-shaped, but it didn't provide any volume whatsoever. Instead, it was more like a casual, barely-there mascara I'd wear for work or weekend running around. Even after 3 coats, I didn't notice volume or length enhancement. It applies smoothly with no clumps and I like the wand, but won't purchase again for volume enhancement.

I don't care for this mascara. The brush doesn't do a very effective job of defining the lashes. Certainly doesn't add length, just fullness. It's so waterproof that I struggle to remove it even with an eye makeup remover.

love the dark color but gosh this is like putting glue on my eyelashes. In the first try it took over 7 minutes trying to wash it all away before I went to sleep. The second night I found out I had extra mascara and the same happen on the third day but I figure it was because this mascara is too sticky and it is all crumbled in between my lashes. I will just get back to my old Maybelline mascara because over all, they have great products just didn't workout with this one.

It wasn't all that for my Asian lashes...I find that the formula is quite heavy and kind of weighs my lashes down. It also doesn't build very well - gets clumpy pretty fast.I still like the L'Oréal Voluminous Million Lashes (waterproof) more.

This mascara is hard core, it is so difficult to take off at the end of the day. So if you are looking for durability of mascara, this is almost bullet proof, at least make up cloth removing proof.It goes on easily and smoothly. However, I find that it causes my lashes to be rather clumpy after a few swipes (not allowing it to dry in between). I almost wish I had a comb for my lashes before it dries.It is an ok mascara, great color and staying power, but I don't want my lashes sticking together as easily, where I can easily get 'spider' legs as lashes.

I like the fact that it washed off with the normal face cleanser, but I dislike the panda eyes I get if I wash my face during the day, overall its good, and works good for everyday use.

I'm looking for the holy grail of mascaras. This goes on way too thick and clumpy. Product has to be smudge free. The information on this page states product is smudge free. I had raccoon eyes by the time I'd been at work for an hour or so. Not pleased with this product. I do not recommend.

I'll give it 3 stars, because I used to swear by Mabeliene Mascara, and because the brush is stationary, unlike those stupid new ones with the bobblehead brush. However, this "volumizing" brush is way too think, and oddly shaped, and all it accomplishes is to get mascara everywhere except my eyelashes.

Makes my lashes look really long and full, but the brush comes out gooped with mascara. The seal on the bottle should be tighter. It's really messy and doesn't dry very fast. I have to apply the top lashes of one eye, let it dry, apply to the top lashes of the other eye, let it dry, the proceed to the bottom lashes. I don't think i will purchase this again.

I am usually a fan of all maybelline mascaras and try every single one that comes out to the market. This particular mascara didn't give me as much volume and I felt it separate the lashes to much. If I combine it with the mega volume then it works awesome but not by itself

The product definitely gives out long lashes. My lashes tend to clump easily and my eye shape help emphasise the smudges of the mascara. It's also drying and my lashes were begging for water.

Flakes terribly and has one of those awful silicon brushes that hardly distributes any product. I regret this purchase and will not purchase again.

I was hoping that this will be it for me but apparently I have sensitive eyes and they still caused irritation in them. It was a waste of money since I stopped using it after the first use. I only gave it 2 stars because I have sensitive eyes and it didn't work for me.

The brush itself is too big once it gets dunked into the tube. It does not cover (paint) your lashes easily either. You have to apply over and over again trying to get the mascara on your lashes with little results. Clings to the brush but won't leave the brush either! I won't be buying this again that's for sure!

I like this product more than the previous versions of Maybelline I've used for 40 years. The plastic bristles are MUCH better and the end is not sharp metal which, now that I'm older, helps me to avoid poking my eye out. Much less risky for all ages, in fact, especially if applying when you're in a hurry. The mascara itself does not clump on the eyelashes and does not flake. It almost has a moisturizing feel, which I like. However, for some reason, you must put the wand in the hole more frequently, presumably because it squeegees it better than other products so there's not alot of mascara on the wand at any given time. This has taken some getting used to, but makes sense, I guess, as a way to avoid clumping. My two complaints about the product are: as you insert the wand, whatever mascara is on the wand gets left on the outside and the next time you use it (after its had time to dry), the dried mascara clumps on the wand bristles. You still have to remove it before you start each time, but if you do that, you wont have clumping on the lashes. The other big issue is that the packaging is too "fat". It doesn't fit most standard makeup holders and I don't like that. The company really missed the mark on this. Still, I like the product enough to reorder.UPDATE 9/6/2015: Yikes! This mascara causes itching and irritation! I realized that something in it I'm allergic to. I also realized the plastic/silicone wand isn't that great. Had to throw it out. Going back to a basic type mascara without the "thickening" ingredients. Changed to 2 stars.

Maybelline has been my go-to mascara for decades. However, the Express Rocket is my least favorite Maybelline product that I have ever used. If you are looking for a mascara that does not clump, you will be disappointed.Things I liked:1) putting my eye make-up on Amazon Subscription for delivery every 4-6 months - allowing me to change my eye make-up and avoid eye infections.Things I didn't like:1) The clumps...Big awkward clumps of mascara sitting on the eye lashes...2) Since I have fine eyelashes, it takes 3+ coats to apply it so it looks right, which results in -3) 3+ layers of clumps...3) Although the brush is the same size as other Maybelline mascaras, when you go to apply it, the mascara brush is covered with a thick heavy layer of mascara. To deal with this I push the brush against the neck of the tube as I withdraw it from the tube which has helped with the clumping.I have used other Maybelline mascaras that I love - but they weren't available via Amazon subscription. With all the other types of mascara, I am not sure why Maybelline thought they needed another Volume' Express mascara. One would think after making mascara for decades that Maybelline would know what they are doing. It surprises me that they released this to market with a product and a delivery system that fails to deliver.

At first, I was really excited when I found this mascara. It was cheaper than any of the local stores. I've used Maybelline for years and figured I would give this a try. This mascara dried out within about 2 months and got very clumpy and thick. I'm not sure if it was due to the wand getting gunked up or what.

No particular volume noted. If anything, the big fat brush makes it harder to get the mascara on without smudging around the eyes. Only the plastic container and brush are the luminous. Since it's here I might as well use it up but will not buy again.

Ew. That's what I truly have to say about this product. It looked and felt good after applying a few coats but it caused itchiness not even an hour later that I had to wash it off, and it wasn't easy. The brush looked great but this product I would give zero stars if I could. Last time I'm using maybelline. I'm very disappointed but more sad by this purchase because I don't like to waste money.

I've used Volume Express mascaras in the past and really liked them. Unfortunately, not so with the Rocket Volume Express. It is RIDICULOUSLY clumpy and messy. Wiping of the excess product from the brush makes it even worse. Pretty disappointed!

horribly disappointed with this mascara. maybelline's Colossal Volume Express is far superior.. and if you are willing to spend a little more on a fantastic mascar that is waterproof & wil increase volume and length by leaps and bounds then go for Benefit's they're real mascara (have cried with it on and swam with it without leaks or streaks or clumping or any mess!). That is a wayyyyyyyy superior product!

Hated this mascara the most!! It clumps! It flakes allover my face. It's all clumpy and nasty around the hole where the wand goes on the tube! I've dealt with it because it was cheap and I didn't wanna buy another and give it a chance. Never will I buy this one again. Doesn't even been deserve 1 star

This formula might be okay, but the wand is horrible. It is so fat that it's hard to get it on my lashes without getting it all over my lid. The bristles also stick together in the middle of the brush horribly.

I can't vouch for the product itself but I received the mascara, completely dried out. It was clumpy and very hard to apply. I'm not sure how long this has been sitting in their warehouse but I wouldn't recommend it.

Old, dry and clumpy. So frustrated! Added saline and heated it up to try to help it but it's still quite clumpy and flakey. The whole reason I bout it was because my mascara was old, clumpy, dry and flakey. Just not happy!

I had really high hopes after reading so many glowing reviews, plus I love other Maybelline mascaras so I thought it would live up to the hype. But sadly, it's just another mascara. I have full long lashes, and I usually use the Lash Sensational which is really good and I also like Cat Eyes and Lash Stilletto, but this pumped up colossal did absolutely nothing for my lashes. There was nothing special about the formula, and it did not pump up anything at all. Huge disappointment. Back to my usuals!
