Five Star Reviews: | 53% so I made the best out of it November 6, 2016 I must say that when I received this costume, I saw that it was small for my 5lb chihuahua. I tried it on on him (I put in the two legs) but noticed that I wasn't able to tie it because the elastic part it has was for a smaller body. in order to fix this problem, I carefully broke the elastic part with a scissor ( I had to make a small hole on the costume --but you can barely notice it.) I also cut the elastic part where the legs go because they were too tight (again, this was made for a smaller dog). I really didn't want to buy another costume for them and have to wait for it, so I made the best out of it!Hope this helps. Foster dog with Super-Powers! August 18, 2016 Omg doesn't get much cuter than this! Our foster dog is showing off his super-powers! He is 60lbs and the XL fits him well - if anything it is a bit big. We ordered it 2 weeks ago (it said it was going to take 3 1/2 weeks). I got the medium size since I have a papillion mix dog who weighs about 16 pounds. It fits perfectly. It's funny for us, but he has other thoughts.I just wish the cape was longer so you could see it. But that's ok since it was fairly cheap and I can sew him a longer one if needed. Pay attention to size chart. February 16, 2016 So stinkin' cute!!! My husband is a huge Superman fan and has a costume for Halloween. Since it was going to be the first Halloween with our new pup we had to dress her up and when I saw this I had to get it. We ended up going with a Super Hero theme all together. For the price I wasn't expecting the best quality, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. I'm glad I paid attention to the sizing chart because it fit her just right around the back and the legs were the perfect length to not interrupt her stride. The cape has a tendency to fall down over the dog's chest as it is a separate piece. I didn't want to make it tighter around her neck fearing she could suffocate if I made it any tighter. One of her legs would come out from running around for awhile. She wasn't a fan having it on at first as she would take a few steps before quickly sitting down as if she was embarrassed. As she got used to it she looked so funny when she walked toward us looking as if she was truly walking like a human being. Every trick or treater loved seeing her and I think she loved the attention. Super buy! September 29, 2015 I love it! My dog not so much :)My dog is a 10 lb chihuahua. My pup got first place in a Halloween costume contest. He's a 65 lb pitbull that it is extremely hard to find costumes for due to his odd proportions (wide chest, short legs, and relatively short body) - this fit perfectly! The only downside was the hat was difficult to keep on. However, I highly recommend this for other dogs with wide chests and short legs. I found the measurements to be accurate. Great funny costume!! October 7, 2016 SO funny and cute! My dog doesn't mind it and looks pretty funny. It's definitely a great deal. My dog is a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix weighs about 55lbs and this fits him really well. The pants are short but oh well it's a pirate so maybe they are supposed to be lol. Hat is slightly large and I keep having to fix it on him but i think this works well because usually he will try and take whatever i put on him off right away and doesn't seem to mind this at all. July 18, 2016 I bought the medium first because the dimensions seemed to be what our little was but it ran as big as the largest measurement so it didn't fit. BUT we have a lot of dogs in our family and I gave it to my son for his dog and it's so so so cute!!! If I have a picture, I will post it later. So cute though!! Well made and doesn't seem to bother the dog when it's on because it's made with nice soft material. So I would buy the size that is the closest to the largest measurement in each size. Like my dog is 11" neck girth, (he's a yorkie with lots of hair) but I decided to buy the XS because he's not as tall as the s and m said. He is the height of the XS. And when I got it, it fit him perfectly even around the neck and is not too tight at all. So I found they ran big for my size dog. I couldn't give them a full five star because of the fitting but I couldn't rate it any lower than a 4 because of the quality and how cute it is. So funny! November 24, 2015 We carefully measured our dog before ordering. I was nervous that the costume would be way too small because I'd ordered some shoes for her a few months before using the same method of measurement, and they were laughably small. To my husband's and my surprise, this costume actually turned out to be a little bit big! Because of that, the costume didn't stay completely up next to her neck as she walked. Also, the cape kept slipping off her back, so we had to get creative about how to make it "stick." Even though our dog is a tiny Papillon, the XS was a little small, and yes I did measure. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a cute costume, it was just a little small all around. Buy the next size up even if you match measurements.Update:We purchased this prior to Halloween. Our Papillion weighed about 7.5 lbs then. Now it's March, almost a half year later. A few adjustments and you can make it work. I used treats to get him to stop trying to rip it off, probably better for an older dog or a dog used to wearing clothes. Three Star Reviews: | 11% XS runs VERY small September 22, 2016 XS runs VERY small. I have a 3lb chihuahua and it's tight on him. Fit my 15 lb shih tzu September 2, 2016 So cute used on my 15# shih tzu. At first I thought it was going to be too small but it fit perfect - it only covers the chest area and so even though it looks like it is for a tiny dog it works great, the arms needed some coaxing to look more natural but you will get a kick out of it. How ever I order a medium and I don't know what size I got looks like an XS so mad bc now they are out ... October 24, 2014 So I got this in the mall today and it's so freaking cute!! I brought a size M for my 8lbs. Yorkie. It is much too small. I thought I was safe getting the M because it said for a 12inch dog but I need an X-large. Maybe if I order it now, I will get it by next Halloween. It is very cute, the price is good and the shipping is free. However, it takes too long to receive merchandise from this company. Just too big for my 8lb Chihuahua. (got a small, as xs wasn't available- and I saw ppl say they got one for their cat), the hat is also kind of big. The cape ties on w/ a fairly chintzy white string that pulls out (mine wasn't affixed to the cape, just 'pull through', so I'm thinking I'll either sew Velcro or a button on. But it is still way cute... even though I'll need to alter it. It has elastic that goes around the dog's chest, under her armpits. It was WAY too tight and looked very uncomfortable. I purchased the large size for a german short hair pointer. The costume fit per the measurments on the site. The problem is, this doesnt really have the "cuteness factor" that it does have on cats or small dogs. The cape is easy, the hat on the other hand comes off easy. It does not stand up once the dog moves. Ive tried to adjust the hat in any way i can and aside from stapling it to my dogs head, it wont hold position. I ended up donating the item to a thrift store. Looks nice but not hardly functional. March 31, 2016 The cape is extremely poorly constructed and the string easily falls out of the lining of the cape. This is bad because it's very tedious to try to loop the string back through the cape. The cape should've been built into the front suit with velcro or something simpler.Big oversight and ultimately retracts away from a good costume. Cute but pain in the A$$ March 15, 2016 Came smaller then expected and the cape is not attached, you just tie it on. The strings are slippery material so never tight enough and falls under my dogs body/feet. Looks cute but drives dog nuts. Was worn for one afternoon, now takes up cupboard space.
