This thermometer is lovely. I got it in the satin/brushed nickel finish to match my outside hardware and it looks pretty high quality. You get alot for the moderate price!

We have wanted to purchase an outdoor thermometer ever since we moved back to the Central Coast of Cali nearly a year ago. We lived on the island of Kauai for a few years and since the temperatures there are fairly consistent we didn't have the need for a product like this, However this area is much chillier and the weather fluctuates a lot right on the Pacific so we decided to purchase a nice thermometer. My boyfriend is a private chef and very particular about anything he buys so he did a lot of research before making a decision. Our new Bjerg Instruments thermometer is perfect and already installed on our front porch. It really looks good out there and we appreciate knowing the temperature each AM. Also Bjerg sent a positive follow up email asking how we liked their product....so professional and much appreciated plus demonstrating excellent customer service. I am happy to report that the thermometer is everything that I had hoped, it is made solid and really the way that things 'used to be' made, which is a good thing. Quality materials along with quality craftsmanship is always appreciated, especially at a good price. It took me all of two minutes to install, the hardest part was deciding where to place it.As a matter of fact I plan on getting another one for outside, the one that I bought went into our sun room.

This finely-crafted thermometer is a welcome addition to our home. It installed outside our kitchen window with no difficulty. It is easy to read and appears to be accurate. My wife let out an expression of glee when she saw I had installed this item after our serviceable but cheap plastic dial-type thermometer had fallen to its fate, having clung to its mount by a figurative thread for weeks upon being clobbered by an eager and highly competent but inattentive home remodeler. He's safely gone, so the same fate will not befall our handsome 10-inch thermometer. We will enjoy it for years to come.This is a good item at a good price. Buy it with confidence.

I mounted this thermometer on my pergola about 6 feet away from my back door. I was able to swivel the thermometer it so I can clearly see the temperature while standing at the back door. No more sticking my toe in the snow to see how cold it is outside :) I have other copper finish items on the deck so it fits right it.Looks beautiful, easy to mount, easy to see, price is great, and it works!

I bought this to see what temp it was outside from my kitchen window. I mounted it right on the outside of the window because the writing isn't huge so you can't read it from really far away. It doesn't draw a lot of attention so it doesn't look weird on the outside of the window. The only reason I almost gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is it doesn't seem to have full mobility. I couldn't mount it to the left side of my window because the bracket didn't want to turn that far so I did it to the right hand side. That said I didn't try too hard to move it around so maybe it is user error. Overall for the price point it looks really nice and seems to work well.

Love this for the price! I have had zero issues with having to re suction cup it to our window.

adheres well to glass arcadia door, one I don't open, so it stays put. A door or window one seldom opens and closes would be fine. Temp is accurate and is readable. l

I own two. The second was purchased after using the first one for years. Sticks easily to the window. The battery can be quickly changed. And the temps can be seen and are accurate. Can you bet all that?

I use this thermometer in my Hovabator incubator and love it. An incubator needs to stay at 99.5-101 degrees to be successful and this item allows me to monitor the temp range easily without opening the lid. We had a 100% hatch rate on fertilized eggs on our last hatch... that is unheard of. I attribute the hatch success to the quality of the thermoregulation I was able to achieve using this very accurate little thermometer! This is the second one I have bought for this purpose. The digital display went out on the first one... but it worked for 4 years before it died... not bad for $10.

I bought this so that I would know the temperature outside on the patio when my pets are out there....works great. its hanging on the outside of my sliding door....and it hasn't fallen off once....

Wonderful for monitoring the temperature on my enclosed back porch. I've found it to be very accurate. It sticks well to the glass too!

The antique copper finish is beautiful. The mounting bracket is sturdy enough to position the thermometer without it being loose. The thermometer scale is visually smaller than pictured. There are overly large blank gaps above and below the scale. I would rather the scale be increased another 10 or 20 points high or low(since I expect temps below -20 degrees), or the font should be increased and thermometer recalibrated, or keep the scale and shrink the thermometer to an overall 8 inch height.

This is functionally flawless; exactly what I was hoping for!I do with it came in a slightly smaller size.

It has a nice feel and mounted easily outside my living room window. It's good to see both Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures side-by-side.The only down-side I see is that the numbers are so small that I can't read them unless I get close to the thermometer.

Nice little thermometer and can be "swung" to adjust angle of view. Numbers are quite small, and if the eyes are not sharp, the gradations of temp are close enough together to made temp distinction a bit of a challenge

I just received my thermometer and unpacked it. My hubby wanted a thermometer for the outside so this is a little something I got him for Christmas. I hope he will like it. I liked the looks of it and think it will look good on the house.

Revised:I purchased this 10” Bjerg Wall Thermometer (item#442426) from Amazon and installed it today. When I unpacked it, the unit read 85 degrees. After installing it outside, it still read 85 degrees, or about 6-7 degrees F, lower than the ambient as read by 2 other electronic digital units and another analog thermometer I have in the same vicinity. The digital and analog units were within 1 degree F of each other. The Bjerg unit was nailed at 85 degrees 3 hours after installation, but my digital units now read 91 and 92 degrees and the analog indicated 92 degrees.I emailed the seller "Clean Air Commerce" and got a quick response suggesting that I let sit overnight vertically and if I still had the problem, he would send out a new one. I decided to take a hair dryer to it by blowing warm air through the sensing hole at the bottom of the thermometer. After heating the bulb long enough to get the column of liquid to rise to the 100 degree mark, I shut off the hair dryer and let the thermometer cool overnight. Sure enough, this morning, it was within 1-2 degrees in agreement with my other units. I really cannot definitively explain what happened, but it is now working satisfactorily. Customer service from the seller was unexpectedly great, responded to my email within an hour and I would recommend them. Revised my rating from an initial "1 star" to "4 stars", not 5, because I considered the unit a little flimsy, easily shifted with a slight bump. But, then again it only cost 10 bucks.FYI, it is made in China.Update 8/5/2015: Checked this morning with my infrared gun thermometer and found them to be with a 0.5 degree of each other (as close as I can visually discern). Now very happy with the accuracy.

Had one for approx. 2 years, no problems. Survived 2 Michigan winters. Battery started to go, numerals were fading and hard to read. Decided to just replace the whole unit as opposed to trying to hunt down the correct batteries. Cheap, simple and works for what I need. Just wish it lit up, can't read once it gets dark.

Nice product, 2 issues I have with it are it does not give an honest reading because it takes heat from inside also, second is it is hard to read from an angle.

We have 2 of these - one upstairs and one downstairs. They both work great, the only thing I would change is that I wish there was a solar back light on them so we could read display at night.

I've had this thermometer for a few months, and it works great. I live on the 6th floor of an apartment building, and with all the wind and weather we get where I live, it stays up well with the suction cup. The only down side is that sometimes the display is hard to see, you just have to get close to read it. It's not very accurate when there is direct sunlight on it, but other wise it works perfectly!

While the item itself was very pretty and looks good hanging up on my porch, it is so small you can't read the temperature off of it. This is my fault I supose for not realizing 10inces would be to small for my need. Other than that, it is nice.

It is hard to see the line that indicates what the temperature is. You have to look at the correct angle to be clearly visible. It provides an accurate reading though, and it looks nice. If I had to buy another one I would get one that is easier to read from a distance.

I works, but does have a couple issues..I have this installed under my front porch and have had it up for a few months now. It is showing a little rust. It isn't bad, but will worsen I'm sure. If it was exposed to the elements I would think it would rust much quicker.It also isn't as sturdy as I'd I'd like it to be, as the top seemed to come apart far to easily. This was easily fixed by putting a dab of super glue and putting it back together.Overall it works fine, remember to install it in the shade to get accurate temps.

It's hard to read if it's too far away.

It keep coming off the window. Very difficult to read the numbers from inside. the background should have being white to be able to see the numbers. i had to put a piece of white tape to be able to read the temperature. Fairly accurate temperature reading..

Be better if you could see , the temp better, wrong color or to dim.

HARD TO READ. The digital display is transparent making it hard to read unless solid, light shaded backdrop is present. Also hard to read in low light situations such as dusk. Tells temp just fine, small size works fine and was easy to stick to window but I would not re-purchase this product.

It's stylish, and works well but you can't see it at night and not all the time. Lighting and angle of vision play a big part. Still, I like it here on the outside of my window so I can see the temp in the day but sadly, not at night.

okay this Item works good..However if you want to check temp at night you can NOT see the temp... it only shows temp during day..its a light issue...even if you shine a light source on it you still cannot see the temp... I was disappointed...but happy over all ..with 10 dollar temp gauge

I only give this 3 stars because you can't see it without a lit background. I put these in a drawer and ended up replacing them with the Bios Weather brand which imho shows up much nicer and the digital number is thicker, darker and easier to read.

Broke in less than a year. It was out of reach to most people. The glass mercury tube fell out. Junk.

It's lightweight, easy to install & cute. However, it's not accurate in any way. Today the temp is 58 but the thermometer is showing 82. Since I installed it weeks ago, it has consistently been that far off.

I bought two of these just over a year ago, really liked the looks and practical reading, both Celcius and Fahrenheit. This month both of them broke!The stick with the red liquid inside snapped in two. Will not get these again.

Barely okay. Very cheaply made, the temperature is in the general vicinity of accurate, but hardly on the nose. And after installing it on an exterior window frame - there is no possible way to be able to see the temp from the insde. Which I thought was the entire purpose of the design. It's attractive from a distance but would only be worthwhile if it were made out of much, much better materials.

Unit looks nice but it’s very small and, more importantly, the temperature display is clear plastic, you can see thru it. This means that unless you have bright sunlight behind it it’s almost impossible to read the numbers. And any indoor light shining on it won’t help. Not very practical, wouldn’t recommend.

Not accurate! I noticed a 10 degree difference from true outside temperature, and the thermometer was not exposed to direct sun. Also, because the background is see-through, it is hard to read at certain angles. Returning it is not worth the hassle, but I do not recommend this product!

less than advertised

The numbers are very hard to read in this brand new thermometer. Perhaps the battery is almost dead - if so it arrived like that. You have to get right up on this to read the numbers as it is. Frankly I'm disappointed in this purchase. I have a feeling buying new batteries is going to cost a significant portion of the purchase price.

This product is only good during daylight hours. Given a dark day or early morning or evening darknessrenders this thermometer as useless. The digital display is not illuminated and you can not read the temperature settings. Basically given a long cold dark winter in New England this product is useless.

I had no problem seeing the display in the daytime, which is the most frequent time I would use it. The temperature is constantly 6 degrees to high, no matter what placement or whether it is in the sun. I would not recommend it if you want accurate temperatures.

Red liquid in thermometer had a big bubble, after several days of being installed it did not go away. Returned for refund.

It is a cool morning here in California. The birds are singing, the bees are buzzing, the dogs are resting in the sunshine, AND IT'S 108 FREAKING DEGREES. At least according to my trusty thermometer. The weather forecast says 70, the car temp readings say 70, but this thermometer 108. It isn't like it is stuck there. It has read as low as 52 when the evening temperature dropped to the low 60's. I've had it up for a few days, hoping it would calibrate or something. Alas, that hope was in vain.The look is great. The attachment to the house and viewing adjustments are very nice. But the Thermometer is not remotely accurate. If you want eye candy, this is your lollipop. If you want to know what the temperature is within 20 degrees, look elsewhere.

Purchased in April 2016. It's December now. After temperatures dropped under 20 degrees, the thermometer cracked and is no longer functional.

VERY cheaply made. Looks much better in the photo than it is in real life. It is light as a feather and the inside piece is made of plastic. You can remove the top and the plastic thermometer slides right out - it's not even secured. I bought this as a gift for my dad but will be returning it. I can't understand how this got such great reviews! It make me question the veracity of the reviewers. And by the way, the day after it arrived I found the exact same item for sale at a big box home improvement store for $7.99! (Which seems like a more suitable price.)

Arrived very quickly, looks classy. Just what we wanted!

Almost lasted a year. It had rust on it within the first 3 months after I mounted it outside my kitchen window. Went to check the temp this morning before heading out and saw the glass tube had broken away from the temperature scale. See attached pictures.

Worthless,, can't see readings unless you get super close and angel your head to read.

I bought this thermometer and two conventional ones. This one lasted about 3 month, now numbers are just blinking. I have to shut it off, restart it , and then it works for a little bit again. Conventional ones are still working perfectly at half the price of this unit. I cannot recommend purchasing this thermometer!

The display in the photo of this product is actually printed in ink on a piece of clear plastic placed over the thermometer--in other words, a FAKE. The actual readout is very faint and cannot be seen at all at night. I think the manufacturers should say it can be used only during the daytime.

Used this product years ago and had it for years. So when I was looking for an outside thermometer, I found this on Amazon and ordered 2. Big mistake!!! To say it is inaccurate is an understatement. Obviously not the quality device I was once used to. Measured against an accurate outdoor thermometer and found both units recorded 10 to 14 degrees higher than actual temperature. Very disappointed so returned to Amazon before throwing in trash.

When I ordered this product I was already some what skeptical because it was a digital outdoor thermometer. Usually the words digital and outdoor don't go well together. I had read mixed reviews, but decided to find out for myself. In short, don't buy this product, save yourself the money and buy a regular outdoor thermometer even though they're not as pretty. Even before 2 weeks the thermometer already started to malfunction by the bottom half of the first number not working. I figured, maybe it got some moisture in there and to put it in rice hoping it would be fine, nope! If you're like me, do what I should've done and don't trust anything digital with the outdoors.
