This baby worked for me, and worked very well. I had a whiplash type of strain to my neck and trapezius muscles after a work accident, followed by a fall on some wet rocks onto very hard ground (jeez). This obnoxious pain had been ongoing for about 3 to 4 months, during which time I went to the doctor for the usual muscle relaxers and cortisone. These helped moderately but the pain was still present and only reduced by perhaps 25%. I stumbled across this product and figured it can't hurt, I'll try it. I was quickly amazed, the pain in my neck has been reduced by about 90% of what it was and is now barely noticeable once in awhile after only a few weeks of use. Most of this improvement occurred after just a week or ten days. I know this seems a bit too good to be true, but for me, this is exactly what happened. I use this device once daily now for about 15 minutes, and what a difference. I doubt anyone could have convinced me of this before I tried it, such a simple thing to do so much good (at least for me and for what was bothering me). I think my neck area muscles were cramping and spased out, and just would not relax, but somehow this item caused that to happen, and it happened really fast, its crazy! I'm sure that depending upon what is bothering a person their results may be different, but I can only relate what my experience was, and it was more than good to be sure !!!

As a message therapist I use this when I get home from work to help with my neck. I have even introduce this to my clients and they all love it. And have gone out and brought their own. The price is also good for anyone's wallet

I love this product! Seriously no joke. My chiropractor was having a very hard time for several visits to give me relief on my upper back and neck pain. He thinks it is all stress related. So I wanted to try this, i figured it couldn't hurt right? After using it once I could feel the difference; it feels odd because your head feels like its floating. In 3 days after using it twice a day (it tells you to do 10 to 15 minutes each time you use it) I was able to wake up and not be in pain and work the entire day without pain (on most days depending on extra stresses during the day). It helped greatly with my headaches too. Put your feet up when you use this or at least a pillow under your knees. I agree with other people that you shouldn't use this sitting up or on a bed; it actually made my neck feel worse trying those methods. Try to keep distractions out and spend this 10 to 15 minutes breathing and letting the tension go. With distractions I found this product to be less effective. I use it before work (i even take it to work in case I feel stressed and need a break from sitting all day) and then after I get home from work and sometimes right before bed. Its made all the difference for me; I've been in a lot of pain for 3 months now and the doctors couldn't help. Give it a few days people, it might be a bit uncomfortable the first couple of times you use it. But make sure to limit your distractions while using it. Also I have TMJ and at first this brought device more blood flow to my jaw which felt uncomfortable for the first week. My jaw now feels better than it did before; perhaps more blood flow is a good thing? But it really does relieve the tension and stress related issues with your neck and upper back as well as your shoulders if you use it correctly. I hope this review helps. This isn't that expensive; what do you have to lose; still be in pain maybe but at least you tried to do something about it?

I've used this product for years and have always found it extremely helpful for easing stiff necks and cramped neck and shoulder muscles. My original one finally broke after years of both my own use and of going out on loan to friends in need, so I ordered a new one. This supplier delivered the goods promptly and inexpensively. I've been using my new neck cradle daily for the past couple weeks to deal with a recent concussion. It works as advertised, either on the floor or upright in cars and long-distance buses to stabilize my head.

I was extremely skeptical because of the reviews stating it was cheap plastic and cheaply made. I did not purchase this item to relax for 10-1 minutes a day. I purchased it to attempt to sleep on my back. I needed something that would cradle my neck and not allow me to roll over on to my side. With one modification (adding an aluminum plate), it works perfect! I absolutely love this product. I would disagree that the product is cheaply made. I have no doubt that this will last me many years. I can't sleep without it now. It is very comfortable and does feel like you're floating. I've shown this product to all my friends and family that have neck issues or relaxing issues! I also showed my chiropractor and she tried it and loved it! Highly recommend as it has been a life saver for my neck and shoulder pain.

Love it. It's always hard getting your head supported so you can relax your neck muscles. I hot glued a couple of golf balls to it, and now can put pressure right where you need it too. Worth the $ IMO.

Very comfortable. Like others said, it does fee like you are resting your head on a cloud. I've only used it twice in 5 weeks but those times were peaceful. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's one of those things that it sounds nice and you buy it - but then you try it and it doesn't make such a difference that you actually use it all the time.

this product really does help with my neck pain from herniated disc in my neck. I use it when sitting up watching tv and help me keep the curve in my neck and hold my head properly. with this and some pain reliever i feel much better after an hour. It is not a fix to your pain but does help a lot, or at least has for me, Can use sitting up or laying down. gets your neck back to the proper angel

Its not real convenient to use, but when I do, it works great for neck relief.

I am having neck pain caused by cervical spondylosis.I found some short term relief with this product.Don't expect any miracle, it won't cure, but if you can get rid of the neck pain even headache that is caused by neck arthritis , is worth the money.I can imagine it is good pillow for emergency situation, like when someone is hurt or passed out and need to lay down on the floor.

I am a lawyer and was dubious about some of the claims for this product. However, I bought it with two other neck/traction related products. I tried it today and as soon as I used it, the "radiation" in my arm stopped. It was that effective. I gather that it is somewhat like getting traction in physical therapy. So for the price, it is a very inexpensive way to relieve arm and shoulder pain from a pinched nerve in the neck.

It's a good idea and it's good for resting the neck on it. I don't think it helps with TMJ though and the bending white part touches my neck which is fine but you have to find a position for your neck.

Okay so here is my review. I have neck pain and shoulder pain. I know that my posture is terrible and that I would be so much better if I worked on the curvature of my neck. I saw this and thought, yes.... I will try that. Couple of things you will notice straight out of the box, it is sort of bendy plastic, the blue foam isn't as comfortable as the lady on the box makes it look. I do feel like it supports my neck well however it doesn't support it great. The bend in the curved white plastic make my head fall on back. Now this may be because I have a really heavy head, however I don't think so. It is not terrible, but I would not repurchase.

For those with extreme discomfort I cannot recommend this product. Though it will help with slight neck pain, this will not provide the arch support needed. I use the Chisoft Cervical Neck Traction device, that truely helps. This product of lying works when I use it in conjunction with my Theriputica Sleep Pillow. I literally have to lay it in alignment with the pillows neck support to make it effective. I'm not writing this review to advertise the other two products at all, I just need to stress that on its own, this does not suffice for the level of back pain I have. It is also not comfortable as it is not stable so you catch yourself trying to avoid left and right movement and it becomes a balancing act. I do not recommend for my level of pain about 8-9 /10 (being the worst). For those seeking slight relief and support, it will suffice.

It's OK. Have a neck that can go out of alignment really easily. I was hoping that the tension this provided would help. I find that when I lie on it that I feel the curved plastic support against my back vertebrae. This is unpleasant. I'm only 5" 1". Maybe this fits a larger person better. I will keep it and try to use it. I have very mixed feelings about it. Time will tell. I wouldn't rave so far.

I purchased this item for my husband who has neckissues. He tried it but found it unstable when he triedto relax into it which in turn caused tension. That said,it won't be languishing on a shelf somewhere becauseI use it to allow my shoulders to relax. Not sure I wouldbuy one again since I don't use it often but when I do needit it works well.

I was hoping for a little distraction / separation of my cervical vertebrae - the picture of the gal shows her head on the pad, and the neck support right where it's supposed to go, and you KNOW her head is SLIGHTLY pulling down the slope of the thing. I am so jealous.I'm 6' 4" - 260 pounds - and I have a very hard time getting any traction or support and when I finally do the weight of my big old bucket-head strains the unit down a little. I'm not worried about breaking it, I just don't get much traction.I don't use it much.

I wanted this to do work, I just don't receive any benefit from it. Tried it several weeks, just doesnt do much to relax my neck and shoulder muscles.

Didn't stretch my neck any near enough, plastic was also very flimsy and I would not recommend this to anyone.

maybe I'm doing it wrong. Has no effect for me. I was in a parachute accident & an automobile accident. I have occipital neuralgia & extreme headaches. I thought this would help. Maybe it works for other things.

I had to return this neck support device as it did not seem to work for me. I did not feel like it provided as much of an arch as I was looking for. I also felt it to be kind of awkward. I guess I was expecting it to treat my neck pain more than just support my neck. If your neck pain is severe enough, I would suggest a neck traction device instead.

Many of the reviews I read said it relieved neck pain and could feel some sort of a traction effect. I did not feel anything. I have had neck pain for several years with chiropractors and massage therapists on a weekly basis and even receive neck injections monthly. I felt no different with this product than I do with using a rolled up towel.I'm a single mom of 4 and I would try just about anything to help with my pain. It sucks when I spend money for products due to good reviews and they don't actually work as one describes.

I have TMJ and bad pain in my neck and shoulder. I was hoping this would do the trick to help me feel better, but I guess I need something with pressure on my cervical spine and this only holds your head up allowing it to float to relax your muscles. I couldn't get into a comfortable position laying on the floor or bed with this either. Does what it says, relaxes the neck, but I needed something that would apply pressure to alleviate the pain.

This does nothing its a waste of money. Just lay on your pillow it's the same thing.

I have severe neck issues and this product was not suitable for me. I tried it but it made me feel worse.It was not a relaxing experience and I will not be using it again. Also - be aware that this is a non- returnable item.

Do not waste your money. I read all these glowing reviews about how amazing this product is. I don't get it. I have significant bouts of neck and shoulder pain from muscle tension which causes frequent migraines. The reviews read as this product is perfect. It puts no pressure on the base of my skull whete the tension is greatest. All it does is supports my head in the same way that a firm pillow would. Completely useless. I just threw away $24 and I can't return the item.

This did nothing for me. I am not sure what the purpose is but it is absolutely not worth the money. I followed the directions but I didn't even feel a stretch when using it. Do not purchase this.

I can't even give this product a good review. If you are looking for it to relieve tension, look further this does not even stretch the neck! You're better off using a foam roller for all neck stretches. I gave it one star Bc they refunded item right away.

Good in theory, disappointing in practice. Seems like this product belongs in a schlock catalog. Device is flimsy -- wobbles, rocks. I need several inches of clearance in order to unlock neck/shoulders; this device sinks too close to the floor. Should be sturdier, perhaps wider. Also, the foam seems cheap, is not entirely symmetrical. I didn't notice in the picture that the top end has a piece of foam as a footer, which seems to add to the wobbles. You can literally place your head up and down several inches without finding the "spot" you need. It's not uncomfortable, just lacking structure and thus lacking therapeutic benefit. Disappointing, since it could be a helpful device if better built. (And would still have a healthy profit margin at this price point.) -- I get better results from using a very thick book, onto which I can relax, remain still, and let gravity work.
