Five Star Reviews: | 47% There are no reviews yet | 83% Number one rated - do not buy one like this - buy this exact model Stanley SL10LEDS 10 watt March 3, 2017 There are numerous Stanley LED FatMax spotlights. Search for the highest rating by a third party. I did. This was number one of the ten brands that were compared. Waterproof. This is the right spotlight for crawlspace inspections. Very nice September 23, 2016 Super bright and easy to recharge with 12v auto or home charger. I was surprised how bright this thing is! Incredible, I would recommend this to anyone. Solid, well built handlight that is wayyy bright. Battery seems to last a couple hours on a charge. Impressive June 16, 2016 Bought this for a trip to Oregon to visit family where we stayed in a cabin in a remote area away from city lights. Also used it for camping on night walks when we wanted to look up trees and across the lake. Compact and very bright. Brother in law who lives in Oregon was impressed and was going to buy one ASAP after he had a few run ins with predators around his property. I would suggest this to anyone living in the country/woods. Buy it, right now! August 14, 2015 It's super bright. Comes with dc and ac charger and red lens. The flip up thing is an inverted stand, which is nice. Keep it by the back door for coyotes, walking and take it in the boat. We can see clearly for 5 acres. Glad we spent a little extra to get a tgood one. I use this spotlight when I use my boat at ... June 23, 2015 I use this spotlight when I use my boat at night, to locate markers. Powerful enough to see markers 100 yards off. Definitely Did Not Disappoint - in any way April 16, 2015 I shopped for what seemed like forever to find the perfect all season and versatile spotlight, the Stanley SL10LEDS did not disappoint. I live in a rural area where seeing across a field 250 yards into the treeline is important. While being able to use at a long distance was very important, as important was the ability to maneuver a seamlessly light in weight for easy one handed operation. This one did it all. I could not be happier. It even came with a detachable red lens. The body of this light is made of a hard durable ABS plastic, the fold out clip on top for use as a prop id made of metal (can even be used as a weapon if you find the need), The two brightness levels are controlled by the trigger. Pull the trigger once for bright, pull again to dim, and again to turn off. as for the battery, It seems great also. I have not charged it since the initial charge and have probably used it for a total of 3-4 hours in the past couple weeks off and on, and it is still as bright as the first time I turned it on. Again, I am glad I got this one from the several I was evaluating. It definitely does not disappoint. |
Four Star Reviews: | 18% There are no reviews yet | 6% I like products that hit that perfect intersect of price and ... October 11, 2017 You might see a pattern here in my purchase choices: I like products that hit that perfect intersect of price and value, i.e. performs very well and I'd have to spend a lot more money to get a marginally better one! :) Fat Max is a good guy : ) June 28, 2017 Would have given 5 stars if it was rain/water resistant, as it is bright, has a convenient fold-down stand, is rechargeable (with identifying lights), and has a one year warranty plus instruction manual. There is a lot to like in this practical spotlight, which can be clicked brighter and dimmer. There is a separate red light-cover included. The lithium ion battery can be recharged in the car's cigarette lighter or in the house's electrical outlet (both plug-ins included). Imported from China by Baccus Global. Recommended. PLEASANTLY SURPRISED SO FAR March 28, 2017 Was pleasantly surprised that Stanley actually has a good product here. Since China has taken over most of the manufacturing (DUH!), a lot of their "American brand products" (a clone of a Leatherman knife fell apart in less than a year of normal use) have not helped keep their reputation unsullied! A year hasn't even passed yet on this item so I'll update the rating if necessary. One thing for sure. The charge definitely doesn't last long.! Get outta my yard! September 20, 2016 Keep this resting on a bracket just inside the utility room where it can be grabbed in an instant, whether in an emergency or just to chase raccoons from the backyard. A very bright and useful spot. Holds its charge and recharges reasonably fast. Didn't really think much about the flip handle/stand on top, but that's proven quite useful. My only knock is the instruction to not rest it on it's face, despite the fact that the design of the outer ring makes it seem like you could. I get that you wouldn't want in face down when the light is on, intentionally or accidentally, as bad things would likely ensue. But its also kind of the natural/logical position to stow the light when not in use. But as I said, I found a two-pronged coated hook/bracket that I screwed into the wall that enables it to rest sideways when not in use, so for me its all good. so good. Thought it a little pricey March 29, 2016 So far, so good. Thought it a little pricey. Light is very white, two intensities regulated by trigger on handle. Question its durability. No wrist strap provided. Use for dog walking. Cannot focus beam, but plenty strong for most endeavors. Have not yet tested it's longevity per charge. I have had it 1 week and so far so good. I use it for boating and lighting up ... February 3, 2016 Gave this light 4 stars because it is very bright and does what it is supposed to do. I have had it 1 week and so far so good. I use it for boating and lighting up the channel markers which it does very well. I like the convenience of being cordless but I do have one thing I would change if I could...the trigger switch! You pull it once to turn it on and then a second time (within 5 seconds) to dim it. The third time you pull it the light turns off. When I am navigating the channels I want the light on for only a few seconds but I end up having to pull the trigger three times! I wish they gave you an option to use the trigger switch as a momentary switch. I have no need for the dimmer setting. |
Three Star Reviews: | 12% There are no reviews yet | 3% You get what you pay for August 16, 2017 Bought this for coyote hunting. upon recieving the first one, it was DOA. Plugged it in for an overnight charge and the charging light would not even come on. The next day still dead. Asked for a replacement and the vendor was very prompt in shipping the new one overnight. Was very pleased with that. The new replacement worked straight out of the box. Plugged it in to charge and the charging light worked as it is suppose to. Have not taken it out at night yet to see how far it will reach out. I give the customer service 5 stars for the vendor. 3 stars for the product. I kept the battery charged and pretty much babied the thing June 12, 2017 Mine lasted 8 months before it stopped working. In the 8 months I owned it, I used it maybe twice a month for 10-15 minutes each time. I kept the battery charged and pretty much babied the thing. It worked great when it worked, but for it to go out after 8 months is not acceptable. Good "spot" light. June 8, 2017 I miss having a switch that does not "lock" on. Really bright light with good "spot" beam. Here is the truth about this flashlight. It is ... January 3, 2017 Here is the truth about this flashlight. It is NOT 2200 lumens. It uses a 10w led. Even looking at Cree's website, 10w puts out about 1000 lumens. It is a very bright flashlight and built well, however comparing this to the LE 1000lm spotlight that is cheaper and way more functions, i went with that one. I would say this one is about 1000 lumens as well comparing both units side by side. Very good spotlight nice and bright the down side of it ... April 12, 2016 Very good spotlight nice and bright the down side of it if you a Australian buyer you going to have trouble charging it at home because the input power is only 120V if you plug in the 240V in Australia you going to fry the adapter this can be dangerous might caught on fire. I wish Stanley could think of increase the input from range of 110 to 240V so can be use worldwide but I'm happy with the spotlight itself. The first one I had is so good, thought I would buy one for the house April 11, 2016 This is second Stanley LED light I bought. The first one I had is so good, thought I would buy one for the house, while other is dedicated to the boat. Battery life is incredible and spotlight is bright. My issue with the new design is the trigger switch. The older design had a squeeze trigger (light on while trigger is squeezed) and a trigger lock you could operate with your thumb (keeps the trigger in the squeezed position). In the new design, press the trigger once and the light is locked on. You have to wait several seconds and press the trigger again to turn off. I personally don't like the design.....you lose the ability to signal using the light or any ability to quickly flash on something. |
Two Star Reviews: | 8% There are no reviews yet | 2% Non-adjustable light beam October 31, 2017 Very Bright. Battery charge lasts a long time. But the light beam focus cannot be changed. From 10 feet away, the beam is 6 inches wide. I would not buy again. Good light with disappointing durability August 18, 2017 Although this light is extremely bright and served its purpose very well, I am disappointed in its durability. I have used. this light under 20 hours and it does not work any more. The charging indicator will turn on when charging but it will either not hold a charge or the LED is defective since it will not emit light even when plugged in. Waste of money June 9, 2017 Not that bright for the money. Really disappointed. The unit seems built very well but it's just not super bright. CIRCLE IN THE LIGHT June 2, 2017 I bought 2 of these lights. Mine have that circle of light just like a non led light. I have some led flashlights that are full light without that circle. I'm very disappointed with this light especially for what I paid for them. Fire Hazard? March 2, 2017 Very powerful light and long lasting. However it is not even slightly water resistant. Used it out in the rain for 45 minutes and found water in the lens when I got out of the rain. Evidently Stanley has no worries about the risks of lithium batteries getting wet. From what I read it can easily lead to a fire. Hope that is not the case. False advertising! December 29, 2016 Well the packaging on this light was totally false and I should return it! It says on the box 2200 Lumens yet the company says 750! However, I gave this to my father for X-mas and he seems to like it.. It's worth about 20bucks... |
One Star Reviews: | 15% There are no reviews yet | 6% Worst flashlight ever!!! November 12, 2017 Worst flashlight ever! UnFortunately I purchased two of these. They hold a charge for a couple minutes and that's about it. Such a waist of money. I wish I would have tried them sooner, they would be going back if it wasn't too late. quit working in less than 2 months. September 9, 2017 quit working already. Only had it about 2 months. Was great when it did work. 12 Months Is A Joke August 12, 2017 I've only had this Fatmax for 6 weeks and already I've had to recharge it 3 or 4 times. This wouldn't be an issue if it was in constant use, which it is not. The positive to this purchase is that the light is very bright.I charged this device, used it a few times and it is already going out on its own. Sent back for refund. work when arrived on factory ... May 27, 2017 Sent back for refund. work when arrived on factory charge. After I charged it fully to Greenlight. pull the trigger and nothing ... it does not work. now useless. Other then that I would have given a ... November 12, 2016 This product stopped taking a charge after 4 months, now useless. Other then that I would have given a 5-star review AC charger doesn't work and light doesn't shut off September 16, 2016 I bought this with the intent of using it on my boat. I sold the boat shortly after I bought the light so I never used it. I recently bought a new boat and pulled the light off of the shelf, unpackaged it, as it was still new in the packaging, and plugged it into the wall to charge. The charge light did not come on so I tested it with the cigarette charger that also came with it. The light came on with the cigarette charger so I just figured the AC wall charger was bad; no biggie I have universal chargers - someplace... Went out to my truck the following morning after the light had charged all night to find the light was on and bright as ever. I clicked the button to shut it off only to see that the light dimmed for a second and then shined bright again. Did this several times but the light would not turn off. It is now sitting on my desk next to me, face down, so the battery will die and I can figure out a use for this light....Pretty disappointed that the light was never used, opened 6 months after purchase, and now it doesn't work and it is too late to file a claim on this product with Amazon so there's $40 thrown away. I guess the lesson to this story is to open all items when you receive them and test them to make sure they work... |
