Good construction and solid feel when using
April 10, 2017
Good construction and solid feel when using. I would remove a star for the very long shipping time. But i don't think that is fair considering the quality and price of product
It stores under the desk
August 17, 2016
I was looking for a replacement for a mini stepper that I used to have that wore out over time. I found this one that is affordable and durable. I have only used it for about a week but I am already loving it. I keep it under my desk to use while sitting back in the chair. This is good for a stretch of my thighs and helps when I am sitting at the desk for hours at a time. I work from home so then when I have the time to do more than just stretches I pull the stepper out and use it while watching a TV show. I love the resistance bands and that I can work out my arms at the same time as my legs. It has adjustable tension. Simply turn the knob that is underneath it until it has the tension that you want. I did think that it was broken when I first took it out of the box because the tension pulley was loose. Then I realized that it was only because I had not tightened the tension yet. Once I tightened it the pulley stayed tight like it is supposed to. So if the pulley doesn't look right when you first take it out of the box try tightening the tension knob. I like that this is able to be stored underneath my desk so that it is out of the way.
Amazing quality for low price
May 27, 2016
I was a little skeptical about what the quality would be based on the price but this stepper has FAR exceeded my expectations!! It is small enough I can easily carry it from room to room or even to the office with me! Perfect for stepping while watching tv or working on the computer if you have a high enough desk/counter! I use it everyday and it shows no signs of wear at all!
Excellent little stepper for the price point
December 30, 2015
This stepper is exactly what I wanted--a small machine with simple mechanics at a value price. It fits under my bed for easy storage and weighs about 15 pounds, so it's easy to move around. It has a simple counter that keeps track of your steps (and has a few other modes, like calories, etc. but nothing too in depth). It came preassembled, and the only assembly you have to do is make sure the pulley line is on the wheel underneath the machine, then tighten the tension knob to the desired resistance (which is easy to adjust anytime you want to change it) and attaching the arm resistance bands to the frame. In reference to some common questions/complaints I've seen, here is an FYI about the this machine.1. It is a STEPPER, not an elliptical--meaning you step up and down, not glide back and forth.2. It does require you to maintain your own balance while using it (unlike an elliptical). It is actually better for your muscle tone and core muscles to keep your own balance while exercising. However, if you have a medical issue that impairs your balance, this might not be a good machine for you.3. You MUST use it standing up. Because you put your full weight on the pedals to pump them up and down, this machine would not work for someone sitting at a desk or in a chair.4. The arm resistance bands are optional and do not effect the function of the stepper pedals. They are mounted to the frame of the machine and the length is adjustable. They are simple rubber type stretchy resistance bands, similar to bungee cords.5. The step counter has been accurate for me, but I consider the other modes (calories, etc.) to be estimates. If you need more in depth exercise tracking, I would suggest a personal device (Fitbit, etc.) or looking for another machine at a higher price point to include the bells and whistles.6. There is no way to adjust the incline of the pedals, or increase the step height (how far up and down the pedals go) beyond the 8" or so in the machines range of motion. Again, if this is important, you should probably look at a higher price point. Personally I find the incline and step height works well for me.7. The machine seems durable to me, and I use it about 5x a week, for 20-30 minutes. If you work out much more than that, you may want to invest in a more expensive, bigger machine.8. The weight limit for the machine is 220 lb, per the instruction manual.9. The instruction manual is well written and clear instructions are given for assembly and maintenance. Instructions are given for parts to oil if the machine begins to squeak.10. The machine is very quiet. You do hear air pushing from the cylinders as you step up and down, but it's not loud. I use the machine while my baby naps with no problem.11. The pedals are 11 1/4" long from inside the toe guard to the edge of the pedal. I wear women's size 9 and have plenty of room.12. Despite its simple design, this machine does give you quite a work out (similar to climbing stairs). It's definitely cardiovascular exercise, and you definitely feel it in your calves, thighs and gluts. Maintaining balance also gives my core muscles a work out, and you can use the arm bands too if you want. Like any exercise, it depends on the amount of effort you put in.I would highly recommend this stepper for anyone like myself, who wants an affordable machine with a small footprint to get some easy exercise at home. I'm a 30-something mother with small children, so going to the gym isn't convenient for me. I'm not a fitness guru, my goals are to get more cardio and shed a few pounds. For around $50, you can't beat the price for the amount of exercise you can get from this little stepper.
Perfect for the office
February 22, 2015
I have a desk at work that raises and lowers and wanted to get some exercise instead of sitting in a chair all day. I work in an open cubicle area and my co-workers cannot hear it when I'm stepping. This is perfect for quiet exercise while working and I like the fact that I can monitor the amount of time I have been stepping. I'm able to easily type and work while stepping and would highly recommend this to anyone, especially at this incredible price!
I got lucky - I don't need the features that have proven problematic for others
July 13, 2013
I was a little alarmed when choosing a stepper to find that this one had a number of bad reviews. Not an overwhelming amount, just a fair percentage: slightly under 10%.When I read those less-than-stellar reviews, though, it seemed that the persons writing them had issues with the extra features, not the stepper itself. Many of the 1- and 2-star reviews cite broken resistance-band clips as issues, and the computer clearly doesn't work very well, if at all.The seller, however, had a very good rep.I opted for this stepper because I didn't want the resistance bands and didn't care if they're of bad quality, and I use music to time my workout, so I didn't care about the computer either. I also opted to spend the least amount of money possible because I didn't know if I'd end up using the thing consistently. (Still not very good at that, but improving.)When it arrived, it was clearly a returned unit: the packaging had been sealed, let's say, less than professionally. I gulped. But: this basic stepper does exactly what I want it to: it's easily adjusted, has a small footprint, and is very sturdy. I have no fear at all of falling off it, or of it failing catastrophically while in use. I don't want the resistance bands and don't have any use for the computer. If you do, read the reviews, and decide on that basis. If all you need is a very basic stepper, though, this will do the trick very nicely indeed.

It's the greatest small workout device but broke after only a couple months. I used it a lot and the cable just snapped. I've had stronger versions from the same maker.
Stepper is very good quality and functions better than anticipated
August 15, 2017
Stepper is very good quality and functions better than anticipated. Two minor problems:A. Tension adjustment is difficult to get just rightB. Replacing battery cost me two new batteries before the third one worked. It is marked incorrectly showing the "+" side down. When placing new battery per indication, then a brief trial of half dozen steps, it heats up to a point that you can't touch it and does not illuminate the screen. A second trial gave the same result. On the third try, I went counter to the marking and placed battery upside down. Result? Perfect! Still, I burned out two batteries learning this.
Good price, good simple home exercise device.
July 28, 2017
This is great. Once I figured out how to get the steps correctly moving. For the money, it is a good home exercise device. It by no means replaces elliptical or treadmill, but it is yet another way to exercise while watching tv.
Love this little machine!
May 9, 2017
It really gives you a good sweat. I use it for at least an hour. I don't use the band/hand things. Only bummer is that it makes a "click/thump" noise. Not when you step, but on the wheel part underneath. I need to figure out how to make that go away. Otherwise it's perfect.
Really convenient
April 14, 2017
I bought this cardio machine because I have the tiniest NYC apartment ever, and I wanted a way to get some extra exercise without losing any space. This is a perfect size for me--it has a small footprint, and it is very light, so it can be moved out of the way easily. I still go to the gym regularly for my main workouts, but this lets me get a little extra movement in when I am just home reading. It is really quiet, and I can use it at night without disturbing my roommates. It is easy to adjust the level, and it is possible to get a pretty good workout with this--you use some strength, and I definitely work up a sweat. However, the range of motion is a bit limited because of the size--you can only take fairly small steps, so it is not really a natural movement. The resistance bands for upper body are a little disappointing as well--there isn't really a lot you can do with them, and there is not a way to adjust resistance. Overall though, this is a very convenient, well priced option.
Good product and good idea
August 14, 2016
Good product and good idea. Unfortunately my desk is too low or my legs are too long to use stepper under the desk. Do use while watching TV where there is no limitation on leg space.

Only so-so
August 8, 2017
I purchased this to keep under my desk to keep active while at work. It is super stiff and really difficult to assemble/set up. I ended up giving it to a friend. Kind of regret purchasing.
Ok
July 20, 2017
This product is ok. I have an air climber that I bought for twice the cost of this product and would definitely stick with that. My son purchased this for himself and it is really small where he can just fit his feet and he is only 11. I also think that this stepper is much tougher on the joints than an air climber type product.
Stepper itself is great; elastic bands and digital monitor, not so much.
January 10, 2017
Three pros: The unit is very stable, has great resistance variety, and provides an excellent, portable cardio workout. Two cons: The elastic bands started wearing after two uses. I took them off until I can figure out a way to reinforce them or remove and replace the handles. The weak spot is at the adjustment point; it rubs and frays. The other issue is the digital monitor. It stopped working after a few days. I replaced the battery but that didn't solve the problem.
Good Supplemental Workout
February 4, 2016
Within the first month of using it, one of the "shocks" developed a leak, although it hasn't leak recently, so I think it was just a phenomenon during the "break-in" period. I use it infrequently, but it is a good device for supplemental work out. Although, as it heats up (friction in the pistons), the resistance diminishes quite a bit, so I had to let it cool off in order to regain the resistance.I sit over 12 hrs a day, and living in the northwest, the weather prevents me from taking walks regularly, so this stepper is a good alternative for the days I can't go outside.
Be aware of your balance
January 5, 2016
You have to be very careful with balance. It is so easy to fall forward. Twice I have fallen forward. Had it not been for the bed, I would have fallen face down with a major injury.
Decent option until it broke 9 months in...
October 25, 2015
This produce worked for nine months. It wasn't that expensive and worked in a pinch as a way to get in some steps when I missed the gym. But one pedal broke after eight months and then the cable broke off after another month. But because it's relatively cheap and easy to store for a home exercise cardio option, I'm still thinking about buying another one.

Just not what I was looking for
July 11, 2017
The highest setting on this thing is just too low after 5 minutes of using it. If it didn't cost more to ship back than what I spent I'd send it back. If you're looking for a work out, you might get an arm workout but that's about all.

Arrived one day late however u didn't make a big deal as long as I got my product. It was easy to assemble buy after when I got on I noticed the counter was not working I tried for almost an hour. Couldn't get it to work and also noticed it had scratches on it. Thinking if I should return it or not. The steps counter and calories are important to me so I can put it my fitbit or other apps I use.
I'm very sad that these items didn't work
January 27, 2017
The hydraulics on the first stepper I purchased were so stiff I couldn't step exercise. I contacted the company and they did an exchange for same productThe 2nd stepper I received had the same exact hydraulic issue...to tight and stiff and didn't work. I'm currently in process of returning product for a full refund...I'm very sad that these items didn't work.
Ok, 2.5 Stars.
September 11, 2014
Started falling apart after 2 months of usage, after three months the metal rope broke, I am using para cord now to keep it running. Gives you a bit of a workout, is reasonably cheap, but I don't expect to get a year of use out of it. For $50 or so, not horrible for a thing that can help you be less fat for 6 months or so if you use it 20 minutes a day. I just don't like buying throw away stuff, I would rather spend money on something that is going to last for years. Anyways, I was about 210 when I started using it, and am about 200 now. So not too bad.
Not a particularly good workout. The steps move very little
August 31, 2014
Not a particularly good workout. The steps move very little. I bought this to get some exercise when I had to take off running because of an injury. About a third as difficult as the stairmaster at the gym. If you're the type that likes to watch tv or read magazines while exercising, go for it. If you actually want a workout, your money is best spent elsewhere -- namely, a month membership at the gym.

I have bought three of these devices and every single one of them has broken. Every single one. On one, the cable broke and on another the actual WELD on the center bar broke. I do not exceed the weight limit, and the most the machines were used were two 30 minute sessions per day.You get what you pay for. This is cheap in both price and quality.Do yourself a favor. Shell out a little more money for a quality product.

I bought my Mini Stepper on February 1, 2016. I went to use it today and a main bolt broke in half rendering it useless. I went to return it and it only had a 30 day return window so now I am stuck.
Lasts only one month of relatively light use.
June 11, 2016
After just one month of relatively light use of the stepper the resistance on the right side abruptly decreased. Basically the product became unusable unless I would like to exercise my left leg only.

June 13, 2015
Worked well for a few days and now the step counter/timer mechanism is reading about 20% of the actual steps. The resistance control still works for now. We'll see how much longer it lasts*UPDATE* This morning I was using the stepper and the metal bar that holds the resistance mechanism snapped. I didn't expect this thing to last forever, but two weeks if ridiculous. I'm going to contact the seller and ask for a refund.
