Side by Side Comparison of: Coleman Cable vs Prime Wire & Cable

I have purchased two or three of these over the past year and they work great and are well made. I bought them because of the flat plug, makes it easier when plugged in behind a desk, cabinet or dresser.

Well made cords with the welcome flat plug, a little longer than I needed, but OK.

Well, I think the title basically sums it up. It's an extension cord. It has three female inputs at the tip, and each work just fine. I have a fan, a small TV, and a media player plugged into it, and all devices function perfectly. The off center tip is quite nice as it allows it to maintain a slim profile behind furniture or other tight places where your outlet is located.

This item is a must-have. Finally an extension cord that makes sense!

The plug is flat and at an angle, so you can aim the cord in the direction you need to use it. Having only 3 outlets is just perfect for what I needed it for. Mine was to be installed and used year round, not just occasionally.

I use mine in my older RV which doesn't have enough outlets for today's lifestyle of multi-electronics. I am so happy I found this. It's the best extension cord I've ever owned.

These are extension cords. If you need 12 feet like I did, these are perfect. The only thing is that these are designed only for indoors because the wires aren't all that robust, but the plug is flat so it's nice if you need that extra space savings on the wall. Not much to say other than, it's nice that it has 3 receptacles and each one is 3-prong so that's handy. This is better and generally more useful than the 2-prong kinds (duh!). :)

The only thing that would make it better is if you could choose the direction the plug-in angled; down & left or down &right.

The prongs rotate easily so you are able to angle the plug out to either side of the outlet, depending on your needs.

For those of you still wondering, on the 12 ft version bought in Aug 2014, the cord goes to the right. The key detail missing from most reviews is that this is the case when the GROUND (third prong) IS POINTING DOWN. On some outlets, the ground prong points up, which would case the cord to hug the wall up and the left, rather than down and to the right. Also, the cord is flat and little wider than a typical appliance cord, but still fits nicely within a standard cord floor concealer from the hardware store.Other than that, the cord works as expected--transmits power like a champ to all three grounded outlets (2 on one side of the cord end, and 1 on the opposite).

I really like these because they hug the wall and are long enough to stretch out from behind big furniture, like a bed or sofa. However, two of these cannot be neatly or conveniently plugged into the same power source because they can only plug in one way. In other words, if your plug is behind your headboard and you need to have two extension cords to go to bedside tables on either side of your bed, it isn't going to be as neat to use two of these to do so. It can be done, just not as neatly as I'd like - and hugging the wall will not be as simple to do. If they had choices for which way the cord extended - left or right - when it's plugged in, that would make them perfect.

Nothing wrong here. This cable was just long enough to save me a bunch of cables being run across my floor. Seems pretty safe and secure. No issues. Good price.

Was desperate and needed extension cord. There's better and cheaper elsewhere.

The wire coming out of the wall plug goes 45 to the right and you can't change the direction it goes. If it happens to be the right direction you want, then it's great. Otherwise you are stuck.

No problems here. It does it's job.

The product delivered was a right-handed plug. Do not be fooled by the Product Description pictures showing a left-handed plug. To be clear, when installed in a properly-constructed 3-wire outlet (ground on bottom) the extension cord will lead away from the outlet at ~45 degrees to the right. If you require a left-handed plug (cord leading down and out at 45 degrees to the left) this is not the extension cord you want.

This product is only getting two stars because i bought it to use outside my rv and the plug end is not straight like a normal extension cord...it is offset so it does not fit in my outdoor plug due to the cover...now i have to buy another extension cord that is normaland find a use for this one

The pictures must be of a previous version of this product, since the one I ordered on 6/17/13 has a plug that not only looks different but bends to the right, instead of the left. Mine has the same number -- 03518, but it is called a "Slender Plug" and does not use the term "Trinector" that you see on the packaging. All the Amazon pictures show a somewhat different design with the cord veering left. Needless to say, I wanted it to veer to the left, since my application needs it to do so. I was very disappointed since I have been looking assiduously for a flat plug and flat cord with the cord veering out to the left. All the manufacturers of similar cords that I have found veer the cords off to the right. There must be many other consumers who want to cord to veer left! If anyone knows of one, please let me know. Thanks

I had this for 2 years and today it caught fire. I used it sparingly within this time frame and it completely disintegrated, smoke and sparks arose from it and the cable caught fire.

It broke after two days. Didnt get it returned because of lack of time to do so. Needed it too.

There are two different images for this product. The product package shows the plug angling to the right while the product description on Amazon shows it going to the left. With a normal vertical outlet (with grounding plug on the bottom) this product will angle to the RIGHT as it appears to the person looking at it.

The prongs were bent when they arrived, even with large bubble wrap. I needed this product and was sad it was broken
