September 30, 2017 I have ordered these speaker twice now, one set for the shop and another set for a large outdoor TV, the sound is great, the quality of the speaker is awesome. A great find for my sound system September 25, 2017 I've been looking for wired speakers to set up surround sound for TV, DVD and CD. I'd read that these inexpensive speakers had good sound, and I gave it a shot. I'm finding the sound to be excellent, both at very low and higher volumes. I think the set was under $35 for two, which made me a little leery, but I trusted other reviews I'd read, and have not been disappointed. Great speakers! Surprising good! August 23, 2017 Speakers sound amazing. Keep the dry if outside! We put shower caps over ours to keep them dry. They are still kicking strong! Even rated for outside you have to keep them dry. Water is not a friend of electronics! Great rear surrounds for an unbeleievable price July 10, 2017 Bought a set of these to complete my outdoor theater. Great sound quality September 25, 2015 I purchased these and installed them on the back of my house where our new deck is. The sound quality is great! They are the perfect size and weight for what I needed. No mounting hardware/screws comes with them, which for the price, I would have expected, but luckily I had what I needed. They seem very solid and durable. Now, lets see how they do over the winter. I will probably put shower caps over them to help protect them. Best buy ever. August 25, 2015 I am a bose man, but when I read the comments about them, I changed my mine. This one person said that they were ok, but the Polk Atrium 4 Outdoors are way better then the Bose. That was hard to believe, but after I read a lot of the comments on there site, I was in. I put them on my garage, that is 50 feet from my deck, and they sound great. And when I crank them up, you can here them all over the neighbor hood With there small size, the base really rocks. I had old big speakers, 12 inch base and 3 " mid range , 2" tweeters. These new ones sound as good as the olds ones. I will buy them again for sure. Better than I expected September 3, 2014 I ordered these speakers to put out on the back porch so I didn't have to bring out a portable radio with an extension cord. I'm not a serious stereo person but I am very happy with these speakers. They fill the whole backyard with music and sound great. I was originally looking at the Patio 200 model but really didn't want to spend that much money. These are half the price and they were more than I really needed. In some other reviews I read that people thought there wasn't enough bass. I read the directions and it suggested putting them under the overhang of the roof up close to the house to improve bass quality. That's what I did and I think they are great. They are heavy and well built and the mounting system is easy and very strong.Great value. |

Theatrical maybe but for those who need bass my suggestion is to pair these up with some 10" -12"or higher speakers! Overall these are not bad speakers but you won't get that pop/bass feeling fro them! IJS good clear sound quality. not so much bass. but they sound clear. September 25, 2017 Good sound quality. bass could be better for the size. but they sound very clear.I think they should are slightly overrated if your trying to play them loud to get bass from them.Also wish they were mirrored to match. and not just two left speakers. or two right speakers. as they are..Might just drill a bass port in the back with a circular drill saw and put a plastic tube inside for more bass.Dont know what the insides are like as i havent opened them or anything.seems like hard plastic though. They definitely compete sound-wise with the "bigger name" higher cost outdoor speakers. I bought these 125 watt versions as an upgrade to the 100 watt Dual model which at around $35 a pair seems like robbery for how good they are. I wanted a bit more bass and these 125 watt versions do produce more bass than the 100 watt version, but I'm not convinced that at twice the price of the 100 watt version, that they sound that much better. But having said that, I still think compared to other brand speakers in this category, they are a great value. Very good value speakers - rock on! October 26, 2015 I use these speakers in my garage. I did not mount them, they are sitting on shelves. To me, they did not have a full sound, but when paired with a sub-woofer, these speakers perform well and I like them. May 15, 2015 These sound great, but the connections in the back are not very conducive to using banana plugs. There's no hole in the bottom of the connection, so you just have to plug into the same hole in the post that is intended for speaker wire. The banana plugs fit there, but not tight enough to stay on their own...you have to tighten the connector onto them, which somewhat defeats the purpose. Additional, if you try to do this with banana plugs, you have to have the speaker turned. Otherwise the plugs hit the mounting bar. Excellent construction, sound, speaker sensitivity, appearance, and price July 12, 2013 Purchased these speakers for a fairly large outdoor area (deck). I wanted good quality sound, and speakers that would put out sufficient volume with a pleasing tone to be easily audible. I wanted to hear the same and simultaneous sound outside as inside, without too much degradation in volume. These speakers (while not "overly large") helped me accomplish that with their 4" speaker and 89db sensitivity. I recommend them enthusiastically! |

August 4, 2017 I bought these hoping they would match the sound of myYamaha NS-AW150 speakers but they don't. The base is not as deep and the sound is not as natural. I can truly say you get what you pay for in this case. Decent Speakers March 19, 2017 I've had since August. Worked very well for the first few months but now they start distorting badly after they have been on for a while. Even after I turn them down it won't go away. Or adjust the bass and treble. So I ended up buying another brand to replace them. Not sure what happened or why it started. But prior to this issue I was very pleased with them. Very loud and solid speaker for the price. You get what you pay for, nothing more November 6, 2016 You get what you pay for. For those expecting great sound...be serious, you paid $35. There decent but dont look for booming base with great hifi sound its not here. If thats what you want you need to spend far more. These are decent for the price. Great speakers will make a weak stereo sound good, great stereo wont make cheap speakers sound good. If you buy these and complain about poor sound quality...well thats on you. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR June 4, 2016 I bought these because they were cheap. I have them attached to the outside of my pool house/shed and connected to a Pyle Receiver I purchased on Amazon. They sound ok, but I have to turn them up quite a bit to get them to a decent level. One complaint I have is that the plastic screws on the sides that are used to tighten them in place in the mounting brackets are not very sturdy and they constantly give way making the speakers rotate down towards the ground. They have to be re-tightened 3 or 4 times a week. I probably would not buy these again. The speakers are a great value and come with everything you need to install ... March 13, 2016 The speakers are a great value and come with everything you need to install it properly,even stuff that looked like sound mat tape. The speakers are thoughtfully made with details like foam gaskets around the on the housing for the bracket knobs to tighten against. I didn't give this five stars because my package came with only 3 rather than 4 of those bracket knobs. Upon trying to contact Amazon through my account (return or replace items), a notice said that "This item isn't eligible for return". The springs in the inserts for speaker wires were extremely fragile and the springs all popped out at first touch. They sound like computer speakers vs offering some depth. NOT 100 Watt ! January 27, 2017 These are NOT 100 watt speakers! I hooked 4 to a 100 watt (50 watts per channel) Polk amplifier and they all blew! They crackle with the amplifier up halfway? They are inexpensive but, just don't expect much volume or they will fold on you.Sad. Not very satisfied, look great but one speaker sounds bad and one sounds good. November 29, 2016 Bought these for my garage, I don't listen to them loud and one of the speakers makes a strange sound while on. I really like the design and how they look mounted on the wall, but unfortunately I must have gotten a bad speaker. the other speaker sounds great. They are not being driven by a high power receiver and were never played at a monstrous volume but both have a distinct crackle to them now. Upgraded to some Yamaha speakers no problems since NOT Outdoor...see photo April 3, 2016 Not outdoor. See photo, worth a thousand words. Only been a year. They sound good, but one of the connector springs was broken September 22, 2014 They sound good, but one of the connector springs was broken.I shrugged it off. I still use them but that will probably stop me from buying two more.I used them for a month then they stayed outside for the cold season. They don't work anymore. Reducing from 2 stars to 1 star. Bad Speakers June 29, 2014 Had speakers installed for about 3 months and one of the speakers has already gone out. All I can get out of it is static. Installed them under my eaves on my pool house. Snaked all my wires and hooked them up to a Yamaha receiver. 3 days later my left speaker blew and within minutes the right one blew as well! I immediately contacted the seller and they have shipped me a new pair. I have a feeling I'll be returning those as well. They did sound great for the 3 days that they worked though. Overall I'm pretty disappointed in the quality....Edit... so i received my new pair and once again they have blown! These Atrium 4 are GARBAGE! If I could give them zero stars I would! I'm so disappointed. Of to the UPS store I go once again! 2 working speakers, 2 not so much, April 5, 2017 As i first opened the box, I was excited to receive 4 of these speakers, specially after the appraisal it had with reviewers on amazon. I really follow on reviews so I instantly purchased 2 pairs. When I hooked them up to the 4000watt amplifier and mixer, I tried to make a sound test. As soon as it went on, two speakers gave frequency sounds and didn't work properly. The other two are perfectly fine, but there are two that just out of the box had a problem. Beware of defects. Extremely dissatisfied January 2, 2015 Two out of the four speakers I purchased burnt out exactly one year and 2 days after I purchased them. Of course they were warranted by the manufacturer for a year. Sounded Great but BLEW in a year. Bad Speakers May 20, 2014 Not Very good value. We use them on a dock and the quality of the sound was impressive. Easy to install and look very good. Sound even better (until they blew)Update - we have had them a year. Blew them this weekend and not that extraordinarily loud. I have three pairs of the Yamahas for outdoors that are about $125. Far more durable, louder, better base and a way better ideaSince they BLEW in a year I reduced them from 5 stars to 1 star.Not impressed |
