Designed with common sense! Thanks!
September 20, 2017
I was looking for someone to offer a snowbrush that was designed correctly and THIS IS IT! Many of the snowbrushes have the brush on one end and the scrapper on the other, why? Do they think I want to freeze my hands when I go from brush to scrape? Well with this thing I don't have to! Thanks for doing it right!
New to the East Coast, I spent entirely too ...
September 11, 2017
New to the East Coast, I spent entirely too much time on Amazon looking for an ice scraper when winter rolled around. This one is inexpensive, has a long handle and does exactly what you'd expect of it. If you're on a budget, stop looking, get this, and get on with your life.
I can reach now!
February 14, 2017
It works great. I can finally reach more of the windshield and also the top of the suv. The scrapper is perfect and I've had no problems with it so far. The brush is great when I need the top and hood cleared off. Also helps to clear the window when done scrapping. Would have loved another colour but it's okay. Will defiantly recommend.
Solid tool with good reach, especially for the price.
January 26, 2016
Got a chance to put this through its paces after the big snowstorm that hit the east coast. I am a recent transplant to the area and didn't yet have a snowshovel. I used this and an old broom to remove 9 inches of snow and ice from two cars. It took a while since it was comparably small for the task but did admirably. Particularly for the price I am very happy with this scrapper brush tool :) I wish you could pick your own colors upon ordering, I received yellow and bright green which are fine and easy to see in the snow, but other than that I am a fan.
A beefy, strong ice scraper/snow brush
November 22, 2015
I've had a lot of bad experiences with those cheap ice scrapers in the past. One broke while I was scraping, and as my hand flew into the ice, I tore a tendon on my right hand, making it useless for weeks. I couldn't properly use my manual gear shift.I moved into a snow area again, and I was going to buy one that would do the job without breaking. And after searching through Amazon, I settled on this one. It's hefty, with really strong plastic. I tested it out, scraping some ice that had built up on the windshield overnight, and it powered through it. No torn tendons. My only concern (and it doesn't deserve a drop of one star) is that the padded handle might not last very long. It seems to be light, and it shifts a lot on the handle. I might remedy that with some duct tape or something. But all-in-all, this is a premiere ice scraper. If you live in the cold areas, this might be more expensive than the garbage you buy from your local auto parts store, but this will last several seasons.
Great ice scraper
May 8, 2012
This ice scraper is very well designed. It is sturdy enough to chisel through ice, and brush away large amounts of snow. A lot of ice scrapers have chisels and brushes at opposite ends of the handle, which makes using the chisel cumbersome (since you have to hold the device by the brush). However, the Hopkins Ice Hammer placed both the chisel and brush at the same end of the device. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Great Snow Brush
January 9, 2017
I bought this to use with my new Subaru Forrester. It's been through a few snows now, and so I have a good idea of how it works.Out of the box, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to lock it at the maximum height. You have to click it in place when you either extend it or contract it. I either use it at its shortest or longest, so I can't say for sure if you can lock it at other lengths. The broom size is great, and it only takes a few sweeps to clear my windshield. The fact that it telescopes open means I can comfortably clear off the whole roof of my car, and the ice scraper end works great too. The grip is comfortable and doesn't feel cold to the naked hand.I did notice that the squeegee is slipping off. I saw other commenters recommend gluing it in place, and I might do that. I don't really think it's a problem, as the squeegee stays in place while you're using it, it mostly slips when you push the broom part.I was at my in-laws clearing my car after the last storm, and my brother-in-law was so impressed, he borrowed it to clear off his car too.
A must have for the winter.
February 25, 2016
I bought this because I need one to extend longer to brush and push snow off the top/roof of my suv. I've had 2-3 snow storms so far and it worked great. It's short enough to throw into my trunk and long enough so I don't have to climb up to reach the top of my suv.So the reason why we need to brush snow off the top of our suv/cars?It is for our own and other people's safety.Imagine we are going down the highway and a car in front of you did not brush the snow off their car. Any snow or ice can catch air and fly towards you and lower your visibility of the road.I had a friend whose windshield got smashed when because the person in front of them did not scrape ice off their car.Besides, the police can give you a ticket for not completely clean off your car. A 10-20 dollar investment can prevent a costly ticket, car damage, and save lives.I've seen other brands with a fold-able brush probably for better conveniences, but I rather have this because it feels more solid. One day, a fold-able joint may fail or break when stash away improperly.
I'm very satisfied with this purchase
February 17, 2016
Although it's been a very mild winter in Chicago this year, the few inches of snow from time to time have been easier to clear off my car with this. The extension is where it shines, and you can just push/pull the brush across the roof of your car without having to extend & go to the other side to clear off that half. The squeegee comes in handy as well (I use it after a car wash). I wish the ice scraper were slightly larger, but I do understand that it wouldn't fit in some secondary backseat windows on some car models.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I may give it to my parents and get another for myself, especially since they're both fairly short and drive a large SUV.
Best Snow Broom/Scraper By Miles
January 10, 2016
This unit was great during the last snow storm we had. The ease of extending it to its full length is so easy. It locks in place at the length you want with a simple twist and lets the job continue without stopping. The brush is works well, and the ice scrapper does the job great. And the next day there was ice on most of the wipers to be broken free, the scrapper worked well to cut the ice. The handles are easy to grip which was a nice surprise. I have ordered two for both of our vehicles and I was not disappointed.
Real peace of mind when you have a lot of snow to brush off in a hurry
February 17, 2015
Bought one locally last year and liked it so well that I ordered for both our other vehicles. Works far better than anything I've used on two sedans and an SUV in Ohio. I especially like the adjustable length, which allows you to reach clear across a hood or a roof (e.g., push all the snow away from the side of the vehicle you're getting in/out of). I saw similar devices locally but felt their designs had two weak points: brush/squeegee ends were articulated/collapsible (I assume for easier storage) which I thought would make them weaker under pressure and susceptible to breaking at the joint. Also, scraper ends were thinner, which I thought would be weak as well. This model's scraper appears to be thick enough to sharpen if it gets a lot of notches (I haven't had to do that yet). The squeegee blade can get shifted sideways depending on what you're pushing, but it slips right back into place so I don't regard that as a defect.
Totally Impressive & Effective
January 2, 2015
This Snowbroom did the job in quick time on our first snow of the season back in November. It's hard enough to leave the warm confines of ones house to trudge out into the snow and unearth the car from snow; however this made it fast, fun and easy. I think the fun part was my little dog yapping as he watched me wielding this Snowbroom. The rubber squeegie at the end was fabulous. I really got "into" it out there and did a pro-style wipe-down. It removed ALL of the snow, ice and melting water. The other end makes thick ice no problem to remove from the car. I even broomed my way down the steps and broomed off the rails of the stairs. I could broom off three inches of snow from the roof of the car, effortlessly with this thing. My dog knew I had become Super Snow Woman. I had the right tools. Loved this!

You know you need one

A decent amount of leverage, but I just don't have the gusto. My partner used his on his car without issue and then proceeded to de-ice my car. I like that this has the brush edge as well. I'm happy with my purchase.
Got two
December 21, 2016
I got this for about $4. I recently came back and saw it had a $5 shipping charge on top of it. I dont believe its worth $9 since the alternates sold with prime shipping are easily comparable in prices and better quality. Since I got it for cheaper than currently listed I was satisfied with what I paid for it.
Wish the head wasn't plastic
May 31, 2015
Bought for the brush. Use "CJ Industries F101 Fantastic Ice Scraper with Brass Blade" for scraping ice. If snow gets above 6'' on the car, get a pivoting head long reach snow brush. Subzero sells those as well. I live where snow and ice can be small and mild or seal your car door shut if you're not careful. This is a good starter brush for those cases.-1 star: Plastic ice scraper will bust eventually. They always do unless you're scraping half-melted ice that's 1/8'' thick.Great for light winters!
Fairly Standard, Various Colors
March 16, 2015
This is a fairly standard ice/snow brush. It doesn't have any comfort grip or rubberized parts. However, it has served it's purpose thus far in this brutal northeast winter weather. If color is something that matters to you when purchasing an item like this, be aware that the color pictured (blue) may not be the color you receive. (I received a red brush, even though the product color pictured is blue.) No matter the color, this is a fairly typical winter weather brush that does the trick. Those with taller vehicles that may be shorter might have a hard time reaching the middle of their windshield since the brush isn't very long.
Good Snow Brush
January 21, 2015
I'm a newbie at driving in snowy places, and this was the first snow brush I ever owned. Today I used it on my 2015 Honda Fit. It's a very well made product, but I wish the ice scraper was removable. When I tried to maneuver the brush to get to tight spots, I was nervous that the scraper would scrape my shiny new car. Also, I think I'd prefer either a longer or shorter length. This size is too big to fit under the front seat but too small to reach all the way across the windshield or roof. It spans only half the width of my hatchback space, so in my case, I could easily fit a longer brush. I decided to look for a longer brush with a scraper that is removable and/or located at the opposite end. For tight spots, I'd prefer a small hand brush. I'll just donate this one. Someone will like it a lot. It's very durable and feels good, but it just wasn't for me.
Sturdiest scraper I've ever used
December 8, 2011
My "old" snowbrush scraper wasn't cutting it anymore, so I figured I'd try something beyond "the cheapest in the store," though I bought this for $4.99, I think.First impression: Dang, this thing is solid! It's heavy compared to other scrapers, but the weight isn't uncomfortable, just makes me think this might be of better quality that the ones I typically buy. It's also a lot less work to scrape - I've only had to do one pass with long, smooth strokes rather than short over-and-over ones, and we've had snow, ice, frost, etc. all week.Color: Mine came in red. I don't have a color preference, because honestly, scrapers aren't a fashion accessory. They just need to work.

This is a nice quality brush / scraper
February 1, 2016
This is a nice quality brush / scraper. I bought several of them for each of our vehicles. The length of the telescoping pole is great for removing snow and ice from larger vehicles / SUVs or minivans. The rotating handle to tighten is the extension pole is binary -- locked or unlocked -- rather than a simple twist to tighten. Other telescoping scrapers that I've used seem to use the twist-to-tighten mechanism (the more you twist, the tighter the hold), so at first I those the handle was defective...but eventually I figured it out. The rubber strip on the squeegee part on one of the scrapers I bought was slightly loose but a little glue takes care of that. Would buy again.
Does what you need it to
May 4, 2015
I drive a Jeep Wrangler with lift kit so this product is a must-have in the winter. The brush works quite well and its sufficiently sturdy even when extended. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the ice scraper side. First, I find it useless. The brush is so long that you cannot effectively generate any leverage to get through even thin ice. It's also unwieldy to try to maneuver the scraper across your windshield while a big brush covered in snow is in your face. Most importantly, the edges of the scraper are so sharp that I actually cut holes in my coat sleeves trying to brush snow off the top of my vehicle. I am not careless and was being as careful as possible, but the corners of the scraper are seriously that sharp. Ultimately, I snapped the scraper portion off and the problem was solved.
Excellent durability and quality of construction. Slight issues can make it awkward at times.
April 6, 2015
This is made of a very durable construction and is great when using it fully extended to clear now off of the roof of our Mazda CX-5. We have two of these, one for each car, and one has already been in use for five years and still looks nearly new. The broom head is removable and can spin/slide loose if pressure is put on it the wrong way, this is also true for the twist to lock telescoping mechanism. These don't happen often enough for it to be more than a minor irritation. It is also awkward to use the scraper end up close, but it works well on a long reach, like on a windshield, even when this is not telescoped, it its still pretty big. You may also want a smaller hand scraper for doing your side windows.
Great brush for the price
March 5, 2015
Brush is pretty awesome, definitely got significant use out of it being in New England this year (2015). being able to easily push snow off the top of the car in one pass with that extra length is a huge plus.my only qualms with the product is that in narrow spaces the length can be a bit of an issue if you have it extended (not a deal breaker, and it's a bit obvious, but i thought it was worth mentioning). The real gripe i have is most likely due to the cold expanding the metal. The telescoping component can seize and it becomes a real hassle to unlock. Other than that it was cheap and worth it.
Pretty good, could be a bit better
February 5, 2014
I got this for $4.99 and for that price it's well worth it. I live in NYC and we have had 2 snow/ice storms since I got it so I've been able to try it out twice. I really like the squeegee side, which I used both to push heavy snow off the car and to clear snow from my windows. The brush is pretty good too, makes it easier to break apart the snow stuck to the car. The scraper is EXCELLENT. Probably the best scraper I have used. It easily scraped the ice of my windshield and windows with ease.I took off one star because I did have some issues with this snow broom. First, I wish the brush head was wider. At only a little over 7" wide, you have to make several passes get the snow off sections of your car. Second, the brush head and the scraper are not level on mine, which gets annoying when I have to rotate it when I flip it over to use the other side. It doesn't lay flat because if the brush is flat on the ground the scraper is turned about 45 degrees, so it balances on it's edge. Also, the soft cushion grip slides, especially when the metal handle is really cold. For the $5 price it is excellent. I wouldn't pay more than that for it. My 10" snow broom was only $10, and that clears the car much quicker, but doesn't have a squeegee and the scraper is not as good. Between my two snow brooms I am prepared for whatever mother nature throws my way!
Not bad for the price.
February 3, 2014
Bought this to go along with my new Ram 1500 4x4 I got in December. My old scraper just wasn't getting the job done especially with the fact that my truck being a 4x4 sat about 8 in higher than my old Dodge so I couldn't reach to the middle of the windshield. This snow room arrived as scheduled in the yellow color. (not that it mattered on color) About 3 or4 days later we got about 5 in of the white stuff and so I used the new broom. I really like the fact that it has a telescoping handle which made it easy to reach all the windows. Plus the positioning of the broom section made it easy to get the snow off of the top and the hood. I tried the squeegee later that day and was pleased to see it worked just as well as the industrial squeegee I have in my garage. I gave this snow broom 4 stars because I would've liked to see an extra sponge grip on the handle close to the broom section. Other than that this was a good purchase.

Good for scraping ice.
November 19, 2016
The heavy duty ice chipper on one side is nicer than the chipper on my old snowbrush but it has no squeegee or extender like my old one. I did research before buying and this was the best price for something with the reinforced chipper side to scrape the windows. I still keep my old, broken chipper with the extendable shaft and perpendicular brush/squeegee combo to do the majority of the cleaning of snow off the top of the vehicle though, and for the windows after the they've been scraped with this. If I could find an all in one with a chipper like the end of this one, I would not have bought this one.
Does the job, but awkward to use with the scraper head next to the brush.
February 28, 2016
It brushes snow. It scrapes snow. Does it get the job done? Sure. Only giving it 3 stars because once you start using it, you realize what a crappy design it is. Putting the scraper head next to the brush is idiotic. It makes trying to brush things hard because the scraper keeps getting in the way, especially around wipers and mirrors. Save yourself the trouble and just get one where the brush and scraper are on opposite ends. Makes snow clearing a lot easier.

February 17, 2015
Seems like it should be durable other than the fact that mine was a defect. The ice scraper was not attached properly on mine. I could question their quality control, but based on the other reviews here I seem to have just been unlucky. These things happen and the important thing is that amazon took it back without hassle. Assuming you are like everyone else here and you got a good one, I see no reason that this wouldn't function perfectly as it seemed very solid otherwise, so I still give 3 stars.
Could be better
January 19, 2015
I'm not a big fan of everything being on one end. The brush works fine but using the scraper is the problem. It's a leverage issue. Usually I would put one hand near the end of the scraper and the other just above it so I can really cut into the ice but you can't do that on this scraper. You have to put your hand above the brush which makes scraping a bit harder to do. Still a decent scraper/brush but I wouldn't recommend for really icy areas.
Good price, but possibly dangerous
January 9, 2015
This is well built for the price. It easily removes the ice from your windshield. My problem with it is how close the brush is to the scraper. If you are using the brush, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL that you don't scratch the paint of your car with the scraper.I wish I would have bought the snowbrush where the scraper and the brush are on opposite ends.

November 14, 2014
Meh, for the price.. It's ok.Having the bristles that close to the scraper makes it really difficult to scrape a car window - You need to have your second hand close to the blade so that you can get good leverage, and with the positioning, you just can't do it. Its build quality is nothing impressive, but for the price paid, it does ok. I'd personally recommend just paying a few more dollars and getting something that will help you to dread winter a little less.

Better ones are available locally in the northeastern US
January 12, 2017
It would be better if the head was wider. I bought this prior to moving to the northeastern US. It worked OK... but I bought a wider one at a local big-box home improvement store that makes clearing the snow off of my vehicle much faster and easier. This one is OK. However, the other one I bought has a "brush head" that is made of neoprene (similar to wet suit material) instead of brush material as this one is.Overall... this was a good "starter" brush. Better ones are available locally (in NH) for about the same price as I paid on Amazon. So, I'll keep this one as a "backup" in case I break the one that I bought at the local big-box home-improvement store.
It "lasted" four years
January 11, 2016
I bought this in November 2011 and it just broke on me this morning January 11th 2016.I purchased this for the rough winters in Chicago. I selected this specifically because it had the dual ends as well as extendable capabilities. It was extremely useful for the most part but it began to lose some of it's original purpose over time. The scraper side always did what it was intended until that part snapped off this morning. The brush side was useful to a degree but the rubber wipe never stayed in place. I found myself pushing it back in from either side as it would slowly fall out after use.The extension capability was useful but the twist, lock, and screw functionality of it began to wear and tear. It would loosen over time and the head of the brush side would rotate slowly on its own while in use. Without this solid lock it became somewhat useless.Average overall but maybe there is something better out there. I will be in search for a new product.
Solid but wish the scraper end was wider
December 29, 2015
I live in TX so we don't get a ton of ice/snow but I have a large SUV and was frustrated any time I had to try & use a tiny handheld scraper to clear my windshield. I'd end up wet from trying to lean across my snow/ice covered car and couldn't reach anywhere near the middle of my windshield from either side of the vehicle. I haven't used this yet since my car was in the garage when we actually had ice this weekend but it feels sturdy and telescoped well. I was disappointed that the ice scraping end is small, the same size as my handheld scrapers. It should've been made wider so you could cover a larger area with each scrape. That's why I'm rating it as 'ok' vs loving it. The brush & squeegee side is much wider so if you're just removing snow it will be great.
Can be great depending on what you get
March 4, 2015
Note: this item not only comes in multiple colors, but also multiple designs. The locking mechanism for the extension can be a hassle or completely defective depending on which snowbroom is shipped to you. I ordered 3 of these and have begun the process of replacing the most recent one. I only need 2, but I broke the second one trying to get the snowbroom to extend and lock in place. Now, #2 just slides around so there is a need to replace it. #3 came in and it is completely different from both #1 (which has always worked perfectly and never given me an issues; the biggest reason I even purchased #2 and #3) and #2. Right out of the box, it was nearly impossible to unlock the extension, but I succeeded in doing so after a few minutes of frustration. Believing I had just been doing it wrong, I slid it back into the shortest position and locked it in place. That was it though... I couldn't unlock it again and I don't think I should have to hassle with it so much so I am asking for a replacement and hoping to get a snowbroom identical to #1 again. Amazon, please review this item for quality issues
It's ok
January 10, 2014
Just to be clear. This is a broom and squeegee on the wide end and a scraper on the small end. There seems to be some confusion with the squeegee being a scraper in other reviews so I thought I would address that. So it arrived in a timely fashion, I rip open the box because we are about to get our second snow needing car clean up that night. I start to twist and extend checking out the parameters of the handle, put in back in the retracted position and the scraper falls right out the end. BIG FROWN FACE! After assessing the situation it seems the manufacturer made the scraper end that is secured in the handle about an inch longer than required for the handle to fully retract ( or the handle an inch longer than needed) Either way I could have returned it but here comes that snow so I grab the gorilla glue, cut down the scraper insert an inch and glued in in FOREVER! Next up would be the threaded section into the squeegee end. It unscrews while working. I imagine I will glue it down after using it again and then have the perfect tool to clean my vehicles. Just an FYI. Saw the same one in Lowes for 3 dollars more and it had the same flaws so I feel ok about my purchase.
Depends on how much you pay
December 14, 2013
I got two for $12.94 including Amazon Prime shipping. At the price I paid, it is probably worth 4 stars. But at nearly $10 for one now, I don't think so. The squeegee blade on both of my snowbroom was loose and was sliding off. I removed it, spread a bit of Goop glue and now they're good as new. But I shouldn't have had to fix it. You can get better and the same price at your local Samsclub.

Does its job
February 1, 2017
Clears snow effectively, haven't as of yet used the ice scraper, it was a little loose in the handle which may be a concern.Works as described.UPDATE: Impossible to use the back side of the ice scrapper due to the brush extending past the ice scrapper. This makes clearing ice that is fairly thick and hard to clear even harder to clear. Wouldn't recommend buying.
Well, it's better than using my bare hands.
December 16, 2016
Pro: It's better than using my bare hands. Cons: I feel like this scraper was a total waste of money. Within a few uses it does a horrible job, leaving lots of streaks where frost isn't scraped and requiring multiple passes. I basically have to use a scrubbing action to fully clear my windshield. Really frustrating. Also the angle of the handle is really for brushing snow.
short, heavy, inconvenient
March 17, 2015
Not too happy with the purchase.Cons:1. Too small and heavy, requires more sweeps than a long brush and makes arms tired easily.2. Keeping the scraper on the same side looked like a good idea at first, but the pointed edges may scrape over on your car paint if the brush isn't angled right.I used to own a longer brush with scraper and brush on either ends, and grip in the middle. I believe that one suits my tastes more.

February 2, 2015
This was a nice snow brush and scraper that felt comfortable to use while it lasted. It worked well during the first winter; however, during the second winter the scraper broke while I was trying to get rid of some ice on my windshield. This morning, the handle snapped while I was trying to dig my car out of snow.Overall, this product isn't as durable as I had hoped it would be.
Seemed solid but bristles shed all over the place even before first use.
January 6, 2015
Seemed very solid at first and I liked how it said Made in USA but within minutes of taking it out of its packaging and showing it to family, it was shedding a bunch of black bristles around the house before even using it.
Does the job
August 15, 2013
I ordered 2 of these, one for myself and one from my husband. We live in an area were we have a mild winter, only a few snow days each year, but enough days of freezing morning temps that there is regular ice build up outside. We don't have a garage so there are regular days of going out and scrapping the windows. My husband hasn't voiced any complaints. My only issue is that the blade on mine does not lay flat on the glass when scrapping. The top corner touches but then the rest doesn't touch until the bottom half so even though the blade is nice and wide is takes me twice as long as it should to get it done. Still works better than nothing at all and the snow brush has come in handy a couple of times.

Needs improvement
February 13, 2017
Since I'm short and have an SUV, I'm always looking for an easy way to get the snow off my car. Unfortunately, this didn't do the trick. The screw part that's supposed to tighten the pole so that you can extend or contract it didn't work so the whole thing was constantly collapsing. And the rubber blade on the window washing side of the tool fell off. All in all, not very well made.
It's bad enough clearing the snow worth a good brush
February 8, 2017
The brush head can unscrew, so it loosens as you use it and you have to tighten it constantly. It's bad enough clearing the snow worth a good brush, but this one makes it even more difficult.
Bought 2, only 1 locks when extended =(
January 25, 2017
I did receive the package on time, but the box was a little big. Though there was filler paper in the box, there were parts of the box that caved in during the shipping process which caused some of the tape to come away from the flaps of the box.. As a result, the box was partially open upon delivery, but it seemed there was no damage to the actual product inside. On first impression upon opening the box, I felt it looked like the picture, but I expected the actual brush and squeegee to be longer in length. That was my fault for not clarifying the actual dimensions mentioned in the product description. It also looked like the squeegee part slides off the base of the brush and doesn't lock in, which I'll have to be careful not to lose it in the process of removing snow from my car!I ordered 2 of these extendable snow remover brushes.. One for my mom and one for myself.. One seemed to extend and lock in place fine without issues.. The other one extends but doesn't lock in place at all! The handle just keeps spinning instead of stopping in the locked position. Guess which one I'll be keeping for my car? =(I was only going to give one star, but since one of them works fine, I have to at least give them a second star for that one.. Thats what I get for choosing the cheaper option. Also, I know the color varies and u get whichever they send u.. Just wanted to let whoever's reading this know that I received a Yellow one that doesn't lock into place and a Red one that does. That is all.

I mean it was alright, it worked. But when we received it, it wouldn't lock. So you couldn't use it fully extended unless you held onto both ends. It wouldn't tighten to hold in place.
Would not purchase again

Purchased two of them for the heavy Boston winter season for our two cars which are parked outside. With a foot of snow on the car, they both initially performed pretty well. The head is not that large, which requires more strokes to complete the job, but does make it a little easier to navigate around roof racks and mirrors. The extra length meant that I could get directly to the to the other side of the roof of the car. The downside is that the extension feature was difficult / impractical to change positions easily (from retracted to fully extended). I ended up leaving both fully extended across the back seats of each car, which is not ideal. In the end after 100' of snow one of the two units broke.PROs-Cheap-52" Extender allowed for great reach across the roof of the car from the sides of the car, which is great.-Nice to have the brush and rubber endsCONs-Construction reflects price-Extension mechanism functions poorly-1/2 broke after 100" of snowfall use
Not Happy with this Cheap Alternative
January 12, 2015
This is the second order that I have placed for this item and it is not the same as the first one (the first ones are awesome!) . This is a cheaper version than what I previously received and this one was a gift! I am quite disappointed and a little embarrassed. The material it is made of is cheaper and the part that you twist to unlock it so it extends is different and almost impossible to unlock. I am not pleased with this purchase.

Don't buy it !

The scraper edge barely makes contact with my windshield. Each swipe scrapes off a strip about half an inch wide of ice or frost. Total waste of money & it's non-returnable.

Cheaply made product that will break

Handle snapped in half the second time I used it. I didnt even notice it at first so the unit scratch up my car.
Poor quality

The ice scraping piece is a very weak plastic. It arrived broken. Even if it had arrived intact, it would not have lasted long scraping ice. Not a good product.
Scrapper is not straight edge, so it's useless for scrapping ice on windshield
January 3, 2014
This product is totally useless for scrapping ice from my car windshield. The plastic scrapping edge is slightly bowed, so only a very small line makes contact with the windshield. It was very low priced, so not even worth returning. But a complete waste. Unless you just want the snow brush, then don't bother ordering this.

Waste of money

Length is nice, and I guess a squeegee will be handy, but just got our first frost this year and tried the scraper, the only reason I got it, and was extremely disappointed. Rather than clearing a strip the width of the scraper, it instead only scraped with the tips, meaning each path left pencil thin lines cleared. This was the same whether scraped up and down or side to side. I do not recommend waisting your money on this inferior product.
Horribly Made

Sad that on the first snowfall, I tried to brush off light snow off the windshield and the whole brush end broke off. Why is that portion plastic?
Product won't extend because the extender lock won't turn in ...
December 14, 2015
Product won't extend because the extender lock won't turn in any direction. Same problem reported by other reviewers. Also just a notice and not part of my 1-star review is to remind others that the brush is only 7 3/4" wide. After using this once to brush off I realized how inefficient it is for my SUV. I'll be looking for an alternative with a wider brush.
inspect your brush for sharp metal edges - potential danger for your car paint
January 30, 2015
I used to have similar snow broom for several winters and liked how quick it can clean the roof with extendable handle. But this new brush has sharp metal edge on one side that will leave scratches on the car.luckily i noticed it before i started to use it otherwise it will be a very expensive repair. for some reason sharp metal edge is only on one side and other side has a plastic cover.
Don't waste your money

First storm and the extender shaft broke and won't lock into place. It just swivels around which makes it rather useless. I guess you get what you pay for!!
Poor quality product
December 3, 2014
Poor quality product. Right out the box the scrapper fell off. I could not even insert it in all the way since there wasn't enough space for the butt of it. It was only possible in the extended mode. I don't know who can build a brush like that, must be out of his mind. And who can send it to a customer without inspecting it. It wasn't even hidden defect, it literally was falling apart. Too bad I cannot rate it with zero stars. In addition it didn't look like on the product description picture. They warn that colors may vary, but it wasn't just color. The details look different. Shame on you, people.
