MUST. BUY.
April 5, 2017
BEST purchase ever on Amazon. I recently bought a Nissan Rouge. Compared to my small mazda - I had a really hard time cleaning snow off my room. REALLY hard. And in NY/NJ you'll get ticketed for ice and snow on your roof. I love how easy this is to use. It folds so it's stored nicely in my trunk at all times. I'm 5'4 and I'm able to get all the snow (2ft of snow storm in NY this past winter) off my car roof. It has a small scaper and a large scraper and the extender is amazing. The grips help hold it with gloves on and it's durable. Anyone with an SUV needs this!

I had an older Hopkins scraper that I loved but it was a bit bulkier than this one is and they have the same features. The added little scraper on the side is a bonus.
Awesome.
January 7, 2017
Very easy to use, build very well. The brush is not as wide and the extension is about three inches shorter then the one I replaced it with, but it still is awesome. You can't get these in local Auto stores anymore, so it was a dream when I saw that Amazon has them.
Very Impressed, Best Brush I've Used.
May 9, 2016
Very sturdy. Was very happy to see the ice scraper is very even/clean, leaving no streaks behind it.The handle doesn't give at all, brush works well, a little smaller of a brush than hoping but works great.Best ice scraper I've used, like I said most I see don't scrap evenly, this was a breeze and got every flake of ice.Extends very far, ideal for truck owners who want to clean the whole windshield from one side.My one negative is that random ice breaker thing on the side of the brush. I haven't used it and it gets in the way very often. For example when brushing off your wipers, that plastic nub scraps against the wipers and doesn't let you get close enough.Regardless of that it still brushes off well enough and remains the best brush I've used.
So strong it can shatter your windshield
March 9, 2015
I live in Michigan and winter season is really horrible here. I used this for 2 winter seasons now and it is still in great shape, high quality material and build. This scraper is so strong that it pierce through my trunk windshield during a dumb moment, this scraper was standing upright in my trunk and as I close the hatch, the scraper pierce through the hatch cover then through the windshield, the glass shattered but no damage at all to the scraper at all. Lesson learned, never leave this scraper standing in your trunk!
Why can't they all be this sturdy?
December 10, 2014
This is by far the sturdiest scraper/brush/squeegee I have ever seen. The end rotates with a push button, which is more useful than it sounds. Also, the handle is made of thick metal in a square tube shape.. which resists bending and feels way more solid than the thin metal, round tube ones I have used. The scraper is also stronger than I am used to.. rather than thinning out right before it attaches to the handle, this scraper doesn't skimp on the plastic, which means it can take more pressure/hitting ice without snapping off (like every other scraper I have ever owned). I also bought a brass scraper for $3, which I use for thick ice to avoid chewing up the flat edge on the plastic scraper.Edit: Finally broke, but due to someone in my back seat attempting to kick it under the seat. He managed to shatter the brush head :(Over the course of using this brush, it worked admirably. The only issue I had was with the lock mechanism for the extension of the pole. I found that a small amount of silicone lubricant restored it pretty well, however.I intent to order another one, but looking at the reviews it seems that the quality of received product can vary drastically. Almost as if there were 2 different units being sold or something.

CA and it just so happened to be at the same time as one of the worst winter storms in many years
March 5, 2017
I bought this in preparation for our trip to Lake Arrowhead, CA and it just so happened to be at the same time as one of the worst winter storms in many years. Since I had the only ice scraper, I had to remove the ice from 3 cars total. I could see the plastic wearing off after the third car, but it's not a big deal. And yes, I used the other end for the ice, then the flat end for frost. I found this most useful I got another, and kept it stored in our winter gear.
Way Better Than A CD Case
December 19, 2016
Received this just a couple weeks ago and stored it in the bottom part of my glove box (2012 Toyota Sienna, there's a smaller top and larger bottom glove box). It fits perfectly in there along with some other documents and, admittedly, crap that I should probably get rid of or move to the house. In any case, the temperature in my area has only dropped below freezing twice and I was able to test it out and it passed with flying colors. the handle and neck of the scraper are sturdy, and although I had to put a good amount of pressure down to scrape the ice away from my windshield, I was never concerned that any part of it would snap off. I haven't had the need to use the other end of it, but I'm sure it works just as well. It's funny. I've wanted an ice scraper for years, and because of the short time that it actually gets cold enuff to need one, I never have picked one up. When I was first driving, I would just use a CD case. This is a big upgrade. Plus... who carries a CD case any more? ;-)
Works great
April 22, 2016
So right off the bat, I need to admit that I'm using this scraper in Texas and the amount of ice I'm using it on would probably be laughed at by anybody from the north. Now that that's out of the way, I can safely say that this scraper works perfectly. It's small enough to fit in my glove box, very sturdy, and sharp enough to scrape ice with ease. I ended up ordering 2 of these, one for my truck and one for my wife's car.
Does an amazing job at sraping ice off freezers too!!
March 12, 2016
I live in an area where we have never had snow and only a few times of the year get frosty windows. I purchased this for those few times originally, but was somewhat bummed when the frost left before I got a chance to use it. Well, last night I found an alternative use for it. We have a chest freezer that needed to be cleaned out because lemon juice leaked everywhere! After talking about it a while- the idea popped it my hubbys head of using the scraper on it instead of waiting for the freezer ice to melt and having to toss all the food in the freezer. It took less than 10 minutes for the ice in the freezer to be scraped off all 4 walls and the floor of the freezer. We then used a trash bound box as a soup to scoop the ice up and trash it followed by wiping the ice free walls and floor of the freezer with a wet rag. The freezer is 3 years old and has never been cleaned or thawed because it seemed like a daunting task- the whole process took about 15 minutes with the both of us for a freezer large enough to fit a whole cow's worth of meat. I am very pleased with this little ice scraper. I had a different gas station one years ago when I did live where it snowed a lot, but that one was so big, bulky, and flimsy, that I tossed it when moving to warmer climates. This little gem, however, is very sturdy and doesn't give way. It is also compact enough to leave in a car kit at all times- snow or no snow. The ice of our freezer was really built on thick and a pain when we had to move racks, and this little puppy went through it like it was nothing.I am very pleased with this purchase and I think it will work wonders for when our frosted windows season starts again next year!
My winters are mild, but this is better than any scraper I've ever used!
January 21, 2016
Not that I have been through many, but this is by far the best window scraper that I have ever used. I feel compelled to offer a disclaimer at the beginning of this review: I do not live in New England or the upper Midwest. I live in central North Carolina, where a few inches of snow is a major event. So my primary use of this scraper is nearly always going to be for frost, not snow. Nonetheless, the times that I have had to use it this winter have been as effortless as ever. Normally, I let my car run with defrost on for several minutes in the morning, then scrape with a really cheap scraper. That usually still takes a little longer than expected and I still have a difficult time not having small streaks of frost that linger. Since I've been using this scraper, the job is effortless. All of the frost is cleared away in no time without streaks. This morning, I even used it without letting the car warm up on defrost first, and the effort and result were no different. The foam handle is very comfortable and helps some to keep the coolness off your hands. The frost scraping end is very thin, which is a reason why I think it is so effective. It also is longer than most cheap scrapers, so I am able to reach 2/3 of the way across the windshield with no problems. For my purposes of clearing away frost in the morning after cold nights (will probably use it on a few inches of snow 1-2 times per year) this scraper does as good of a job as any that I have used. My needs when it comes to scraping car windows are generally very mild, but I would still highly recommend this item.
eats through ice like a hot knife through butter
February 22, 2013
I bought this a month ago, hoping to use it and i got to with a snow storm that came through.I used to use the snow brush/scraper handle type, which is great for brushing off snow, but not good at removing ice.I saw this on amazon & saw the other great reviews and I knew i had to get it.We had a snow storm come through a few days ago & i woke up to iced over windows.I used claw part and started to rip into it,then i flipped the blade scraper part and cleaned the windows clean of ice.I was pretty amazed at how quick i took this ice off. This wasn't real thick but i'm pretty confident it'll eat through thick ice.For the price of this winter tool you really can't go wrong, and it'll sure make things easier on those cold mornings with the wind blowing & freezing out. I was so impressed I had to shoot a small video just to show how good it works.Do yourself a favor and get one of these.

Weird scraping sound.
January 13, 2017
Functionally, it is awesome. The fast extending bar makes life super easy when you own a full size truck. The con is when I scrape ice off my windshield, it makes a high pitch squeak. Pretty annoying. Never had an ice scraper that was this annoying.
Great Ice Snow Brush
April 22, 2014
This is one of the best snow brushes available in my opinion. I would like a snow brush just like this one, only with a metal scraper on the short end, maybe something retractable. I'm short and have an SUV so this works great unless the ice is thick. The pivoting head is a weak point. I've tried just about every snow brush/ice scraper out there. I've bought these as Christmas gifts and everyone loves them except for the weak pivot point and they always break the short ice scraper end. I will buy them again until something better comes along.
Good features for an all in one scraper/brush.
March 4, 2014
It is solid and well built and has gotten a LOT of use in the Northeast for the winter of 2014. The ice scraper end is solid and has not nicked like cheap plastic scrapers. My one complaint is that sometimes it is difficult to get the extension to click into place properly. It is probably because it requires some degree of fine motor skills and my hands are cold with thick gloves on. My previous version of this type of device had a twist to lock extension which was easier to operate but what was eventually what broke. Really, it just takes a little patience and practice and it does work.It extends long enough for me to reach the other side of a large sport utility. It is also solid under full extension which is vital for pushing several inches of heavy snow without it breaking. I would have given it 4 1/2 stars if that was an option but I feel there is some room for improvement. I wish the brush was a little wider. I would pay more for one with a brush about 50% wider. It takes too many passes to clear something with such a narrow brush. I would buy another one (and probably will).I don't know what the ice breaker part is for but it looks like the equivalent of a hammer for chipping away blocks of ice. By that point, it's just time to give up and go back inside.
Ice Scraper
December 26, 2013
So far so good. I like the length of this product. I don't like how it adjusts to size by using holes. I will put it through its paces this year, I live on a mountain. If it makes it through 2 seasons I will be impressed.
Works great, practical, easily storable, pretty descent quality
December 9, 2013
In short:Works to reach across the whole car. (Nissan Murano)Extension handle is great, keeps the snow off of car and yourself.Ice chipper is ok,Brush part work good,Scrapper and the flat end works in moving alot of snowI have used them so far and nothing hasn't broken which is good. Not too bad of a construction, pretty good design. Works in moving alot of snow at time. I hate when you clearing snow and it falls all over your hand and jacket and makes it wet. The extension part of the snow brush kinda solves the problem. The swivel part works great for storage and reaching hard angle. Nothing to complain yet. The only reason I m taking away a stars it because the swivel part sometime gets hard to operate with gloves on, but it works it not the end of the world. It does its job
Great for trucks
November 9, 2013
I've gone through two winters with this brush, and for my purposes, it does the job. NJ passed a law a couple of years ago requiring that all vehicles be completely cleared of snow, or you can be given a secondary summons by a police officer - thus an effective brush is a legal necessity. Mind you, I did this anyway, but clearing the snow from a 4-wheel-drive dual-rear-wheel pickup can be time consuming with a normal snow brush. The big feature for me is the extendable handle. This allows me to clear the entire roof without having to do half the roof, then get to the other side of the truck to do the other half. Also makes for easier cleaning of the hood and reaching the center of the windshield and rear window. I also like the 90° rotation of the brush head, so you can use either side-sweep or "broom" strokes, Depending on which best does the particular job. I had an extendable-handle brush about 20 years ago, but after it broke, I never found one as long or as functional until this one.The dual ice scrapers don't look like they're going to do much, but in practice, the "ice crusher" head actually does what it says and works on thicker ice with a lot less effort than I expected.I knocked off one star because the brush itself could be a little thicker, or more densely bristled... it works just fine on heavy wet snow, but the fine powdery snow can sometimes get through the bristles and you have to sweep more often for the same spot to be completely clear.2013-14 will be my third winter with this brush, and so far, it's doing what I expect. While I'll always keep an eye out for that elusive "super brush", I wouldn't hesitate to get this brush again should I need a new one.

It's a pretty standard scraper
July 20, 2017
It's a pretty standard scraper. It's a little smaller than I was expecting; it feels like it takes forever to scrape off the windshield when you only have a few inches of square footage to scrape with. However, the grip on the handle is pretty soft and seems like it has some thermal properties, so it's not as cold as the hard plastic, making it easier on the hands. The other end with the ridged scraper is meant to break up really tough ice, but I honestly have not run into anything that I couldn't easily break up with the regular end, so I'm not sure if that piece is particularly useful or not (maybe it's just my climate ... idk). Overall 4/5, would probably buy again.
Biggly Ice BRUTE
April 25, 2017
Biggly ice brute!Bought as a gag for someone that scheduled on working a year+ long project in Ohio coming from Houston Texas. Memories of upstate NY living make me wish I'd had this back then.Bigger than I expected and a nice cushion handle. I guess he'll let me know how well it works in the fall. BRRR!
Excellent value
March 7, 2017
This little thing works remarkably well, quickly clearing ice and snow. The handle is comfortable and the angle is good to keep your fingers dry but still touch the glass. The only change that would make it perfect is extending the handle just a bit so short people can get the center of the windshield. But it's very nearly there so if you don't have an SUV, it will be perfect. Buying another for a family member.
Great scraper and comfortable to use.
August 18, 2016
I can't seem to get an ice scraper that will use the entire "blade" - this one works and love it! Didn't want the brush at the end and it is sturdy. The foam handle helps!
its so great to have it handy
December 27, 2015
I live in NC, so ice-scrapers dont get a lot of use but when you need one, its so great to have it handy. This fits very nicely into the door pocket of a Hyundai Accent and is very sturdy. No worried that this will break. It is a good length and easy to grip. Good product a d a very good price.
Great for long arms, but still good all-around
March 2, 2015
As a native Texan, I have had little need for an ice scraper in my life. I recently moved to an area where this purchase became very relevant due to the awful winter we've been having, and I am very grateful for this tool. It's effective and easy to use. I only wish it were a bit longer. At 5'6" with a Toyota Prius (not a huge car by any means, but a little taller than the average sedan) to clear, I'm making a bit of a stretch to get across the whole windshield, often resulting in leaning on a very cold car.But for the price, this is definitely worth it. And even though my primary complaint is that it's short, that is also a plus because it is unobtrusive while being stored.

It does the job. For its size, it does a great job. I probably should have looked for something with this same structure and mechanism but wider. Also, it scratched up my car so just be careful if the snow is too deep and you don't know where the surface of your car is.
Heavy duty tool, but inflexible squeegee that won't conform
March 17, 2017
This is a very solid scraper built around a metal, telescoping pole with meaty foam grips and a tilting head. The scraper is heavy duty and the brush is functional, but here is where it falls down: the squeegee is rock hard and will not conform to even the slightest curve of a windshield. Here in Cincinnati we get wet snow, sleet and mixed precipitation quite often, so the squeegee is an essential component. Fog, heavy dew and mist are regular challenges, but the material the squeegee is made of is just not flexible, even in warmer weather. In this price range I expected a thick, flexible silicone blade like a good windshield wiper. Big let down. I bought it as a gift for my daughter for her first car, but once I tried it I couldn't give it to her, si it sits in a corner and only gets used when there is fluffy snow or ice on one of our cars.
I like it and it does the job
February 5, 2016
Here's the deal on this. I like it and it does the job. It extends far around out to reach the top of my truck. It's a little uncomfortable for me to hold. If you notice the ice scraper at the end where you hold it is turned. I feel like the sharp corner is always digging into my wrist when I'm trying to use the brush end. It's not the most comfortable to hold because of that. Other than that, it's does the trick.
Really solid, until it wasn't.
April 12, 2015
Pretty solid car tool, the extend function was very intuitive and great to use. The main reason it gets three is because it did not stand up to the Boston winter, snapping after the third 20"+ event of the season, while removing snow from the combined windshield/hood area.I continued using its halves the rest of the season but will be looking for a more sturdy guy come next winter.
Not recommended for a big job on any car
March 4, 2015
This is as described but considerably smaller for use on a minivan or SUV. The head is weak pushing against even one inch of snow on the windshield as I didn't want to break the pivot point as reported by other users. The extended body is smooth and rigid but I just wish that the brush head is 50% bigger (wider). As soon as mine breaks, I am planning on modifying it by adding metal brackets on the side to increase its stiffness by 10 folds!
Telescoping lock not reliable
January 1, 2015
Versatile scraper with all of the necessary tools. While it telescopes to add reach, the locking mechanism does not work very well, so the pole tends to slide in and out quite often when I use it.

Okay scraper
March 15, 2016
It's fine, but not amazing. It's not perfectly straight, so it scrapes ice off in thin-ish lines rather than along the whole edge of the scraper. However it gets the job done, and I like the foam grip.
No Different Than An Ordinary Ice/Frost Scraper
March 8, 2014
The customer star-rating for this ice/frost scraper and the reasonable price was the selling point before deciding on its purchase. Since I live in the Midwest where the winters are harsh, it was time to invest in a quality, sturdy scraper. I was a bit disappointed when it was not removing the ice from the car windows as expected. Otherwise, the handle is comfortable and it is no different than an ordinary ice/frost scraper.
Great For Chunky Icy Scraping - Average For Thick Smooth Frost
December 8, 2013
This ice scraper works fairly well on the thick icy stuff but when it comes to the thick, smooth morning frost on the windows it's about average. All of the ice scrapers I own / have owned pretty much scrape a line 1 to 2/3's of the actual scraping area they offer. This one is no different. The only negative so far is the screech it lets out if you have the angle just right and hit a dry spot on the window. It's equivalent to an amplified "fingernails on a chalkboard" sound echoing through the neighborhood.I bought this scraper based off of the reviews in hopes it would be "amazing" but unfortunately while it appears to be built tough and will last for the long run I think it's on par with most scrapers I have owned when it comes to the thick morning frost. On the other hand it works great for me with the thick icy frost - unfortunately in my area we have very few days of that and many days with thick frost.

Brush Head WAY TOO SMALL
December 4, 2014
The brush looks great in the photos but the size of the actual head is only about 8" wide...way smaller than any other snow brush I've ever used. Neat concept and idea of an all in one extendable brush, but HIGHLY disappointed in the actual product when received it in mail. Wish I saw this in the store before buying it.
There's something wrong with the squeegee.
December 17, 2013
Everything about this snowbrush is OK except for its squeegee. The rubber edge has so little flexibility as to properly squeegee moisture from either flat or curved glass in one pass. You need to purchase a dedicated squeegee for that purpose. So don't count on Windex helping you clean your windshield to a shine unless you have paper towels on hand. Too bad I couldn't can't find any suggestions on how to soften the edge of the squeegee.

It does enough to be able to see but I am disappointed in the quality of the edge on these
March 26, 2016
We live in South Carolina and don't get much ice. We do however get frost alot in the winter. These ice scrapers don't really take much of the frost off the windows. It does enough to be able to see but I am disappointed in the quality of the edge on these.
Doesn't scrape too well
March 4, 2016
This sadly did not do as well as I'd hoped for scraping ice. I often end up with ice on the inside of my car from a poorly installed windshield that lets in extra moisture so I wanted a shorter handled scraper for getting rid of frost on the inside of my car windows. Grrr. But it didn't scrape all that well. A hard piece of plastic like an old credit card did a better job. It did arrive on time and the ice chipped may work better but I put it to rest after it didn't do the trick. I will keep looking for a better tool.
Not impressed. Wouldnt recommend.
February 8, 2016
Not very impressed. Sometimes it takes several passes to get the windshield clean. That's understandable when the ice is thick, but it wasn't. And I guess due to the curvature (or lack of?) of the scraper compared to that of the windshield/window, it never scrapes the entire width of the scraper- which then also requires multiple passes. And then when you do get it clean, and the scraper rubs against the glass, it makes a nails-on-a-chalkboard kinda sound, which is not pleasant. Finally, it just feels pretty cheaply made. I mean, at this price, i guess I shouldnt be asking for much. But I wouldn't really recommend it.
didn't scrape ice well
January 18, 2016
I looked for a cheap ice scrapper with Prime shipping. This was the one. Realistically, it's pretty bad at handling ice. I think the plastic is too soft. I've used many ice scrappers over the years (they seem to get lots between spring and winter ;-)), and they worked better IMO. So the short hard plastic types work better for me, as well as the short "metal blade" types too.

Rubber on scraper is too hard and ice breaker is in the way
March 9, 2014
I bought this hoping it would be way better for my larger SUV than my previous smaller scraper, and so set out into what turned out to be a whiteout snowstorm, turned freezing rain, after I'd given up and stopped at a motel for the day. First use with this scraper turned out to be kind of a disaster, to my mind, and I ended up using my sleeve and a bunch of paper towels to clean up after it.Frozen sleet on the windows, and alot of ice at the base of the windshield. The brush worked great to get the snow off, the regular scraper worked okay on the regular ice on the windows, no surprises there. What didn't work at all was the rubber squeegee did nothing on what had been melted by defrosters on various windows, except smear the water back into freezing, since it was -15 that morning. The heavy-duty ice scraper thing totally got in the way of my cleaning out the bottom of the front windshield wiper area on one side, and was also in the way when cleaning out my rear window wiper area.Maybe I just didn't understand that I could reconfigure the thing for the other side of the car, but who wants to take the time to do that when it's 15 below zero outside? They should have put the ice breaker on the same end as the ice scraper, not the brush/squeegee, as then it wouldn't be an issue. The foldaway thing is a nice idea. I didn't use it more than once, and that time, it held up, but I wasn't chipping away ice, I was trying to squeegee away water it wasn't wiping off, and finding the ice scraper in the way when I was trying to get at those areas with the snow brush around the base of my wipers. In the end, my gloves and some paper towels did most of the final wiping that morning. Haven't used it since, as once I got home, I put the old brush back in the car, whose squeegee rubber works in the up to -30 cold we get here in Wisconsin. I planned at first to keep this one for the second car, but then recently came to my senses and thought that if it wasn't good in an unplanned storm on the road in the Highlander, why would I want it in the Civic?
