I was delighted to find this scraper
August 20, 2017
I was delighted to find this scraper. One I purchased many years ago finally broke. Over the years, I've tried to make piece with the usual selection available in my area. This one works as well as the first one I had. Nothing gets that tiny film of ice off the windows with so much ease. It tackles thick ice with ease too. The longer handle helps to reach the center of the windshield and back window even though I am less than 5 feet tall. A word of caution though. Run the blade along side of the rubber so as not to slice it. Perfect for my needs. Would make a great stocking stuffer.
Looks OK, have not used yet. One edge scratchy.
January 5, 2017
Update: 02132017: I specifically made a point of testing it today, comparing this with another good scraper and my 40 year old scraper. This is very effective. But I used the other scrapper (plastic) to pre-cut grooves into the ice on the windows before using this scrapper because I was afraid to bend the blade on this one.On a pre-cut grooves window, this scraper did very well. My 40 year old scraper showed its age, since the edge is no longer sharp and it has a broker surface in places, but for these deficiencies, it applies a better force for scraping and feels more solid.I upgrade this to 5 stars from 4 stars.>>>Have not used yet, waiting for ocassion. Noticed that edge on one side is scratchy (on top surface), so I must be careful, or file it down to round off the edge without distorting the metal. Took off one star for this. Will update when I have used it and with some experience. It is small, but could work well. Just hope it does not cause scratches as some have said.I also purchased a plastic one, just in case. I still have my plastic one from 40 years ago--I washed it up and it is still serviceable.
Greatest scraper ever made
February 13, 2016
In Alaska, a place I no longer live, winter means cold. Cold means frosted windows, really frosted windows. I found my first magic scraper in a Qwik Stop or something like it. I parked outside like most normal people. Garages are a luxury up there. And that scraper cut through the various frosted coatings the weather bestowed upon my auto glass. There are different kinds: thick stuff, bonded ice, partially melted and refrozen ice, blowing snow mixed with ice. All sorts of things. So I'm not in Alaska anymore. Just California's Central Valley, a place called Clovis. But every so often, I need the scraper. Now I have one. It's awesome. Like an old friend. Greatest scraper ever made.
Best ice scraper there is
January 13, 2016
Best ice scrapper made. I've used these for years in all my cars and they make great stocking stuffers for folks that you want to be sure has clear glass during winter driving. Quality made and they will get the frozen anything off your glass. No need to fool around in the cold with a parts store scraper. Get one of these and get out of the cold. Afraid of the brass blade? Don't be! Glass is actually harder than brass. The only way to scratch glass with one of these is to run the corner of the blade across your window. Just keep the blade flat as you scrap. You can't find these just anywhere so go ahead and get you several while you are thinking about it.
Old school favorite
January 8, 2015
Not quite perfect, but I can't really give it 4.75 stars. I have used this style of scraper off and on for many years. The bad points: I so would like for the handles to be solid, as in the past, and the handle can break under excessive pressure. That's pretty much it for the bad and the handle breakage can be overcome pretty easily by choking up on the blade a little more. Everything else, in fact, does make this the best ice scraper I have ever used. It's compact and flat so is easily stored in a glove compartment or door pocket (oddly enough, easily misplaced for the same reasons). The blade structure and simple flat design is better than any plastic scraper I have ever tried, and I always come back to this one. Many different cars, plenty of ice coat and lots of heavy frost and these things cut right through it. It isn't a snow broom with which to clean off your car - It is an ice scraper made to get through the tough stuff on auto glass. And that it does quickly and quite well. I still have one that I have owned for over twenty years. I have most recently given them as gifts for the guys I work with and I was frankly kind of surprised by how well received they were. For those who indicate they have experienced scratching, you can get the same effect from grit trapped under wiper blades. I have dug down pretty good with these many times and never caused any damage to the glass. The name is appropriate - It is fantastic.
Fantastic is the Word
November 2, 2010
My family and myself have been using this scrapper for many years. We needed to replace our old ones and they seem to be inpossible to find in the stores. I thought I would check Amazon, and was so happy to find them. I ordered 5, but I'm going to order more and give them to my extended family. This scrapper will remove frost and ice with one swipe. Not like the plastic ones that remove frost and ice from the car windshield as good as my finger nails would do. Fantastic is the word to describe this handy little tool! Thank You Amazon!!

September 7, 2017
The thick strong plastic and mesh handles help to make this a fantastic product.I bought these because I needed to work through the Oregon Ice storms this past winter and nearly every evening when I returned to my car, there was about 1/2 inch of ice every time. This scraper quickly busted though the ice, and had me out of there in a few minutes. This is much better quality then the multi-head or cheap scrapers that I have tried and is also small enough to fit in a bag or purse. The mesh handle keeps your hand from freezing and the strong plastic give you the confidence you will actually make it home.If it didn't come in a two pack, I would have bought another.
Good quality ice scrapers!!
April 3, 2017
Previously I had some cheap scrapers which I bought at a gas station and they broke second time I used them... so I got these, and I'm glad I did!If you are looking for sturdy ice scrapers these are it!Colors are nice and grip is good. These will get the job done comfortably!
and recommend them highly
December 19, 2016
I ordered 3 sets of these ice scrapers as stocking stuffers for my grown children, and for my husband and myself. None of us has garages, so our car windshields are subject to ice issues on those frosty mornings. We have had several of those mornings lately, so I gave the kids their scrapers early, and all are enjoying them very much - they sure beat a credit card!!! I had a scraper before this one, and it broke after the second use! These scrapers are very heavy duty and effective! They arrived very quickly, and Grace, the sales, rep, very graciously did a follow-up with me to make sure the products had arrived and were to my satisfaction. I would definitely make other purchases from this business, and recommend them highly!Nancy Massie
The foam handle is quite comfortable and big enough to give control over the device
December 20, 2015
Well built and durable. Blade is strong enough for ice, but still is flat enough to follow the contour of the windshield so that simple frost is quickly removed. The foam handle is quite comfortable and big enough to give control over the device. Probably the best ice scraper I've owned. Definitely would buy again.
Great product and company!
November 13, 2015
First of all these are heavy duty ice scrapers, a far cry from what you would find in a gas station. They look like they will last for years without breaking or dulling the edges. High quality to say the least.Secondly, the cutomer service was outstanding! I only recieved 1 ice scraper, and when notified, the company responded immediately and gave me the option to return for refund or reorder and receive another set (which is what I did).Nice to deal with folks committed to customer service!

Great product. Easy to hold with the ergonomic designed handle. Will purchase more for Christmas gifts. The packaging is excellent. They came in a reusable zip bag. Packaging to me is as important as the product. It's rare to get a package that is not damaged. This packaging was the best ever. Thank you for a wonderful product and shipping experience.

Much better than plastic scrapers
March 4, 2017
I had a scraper years ago with the metal edge, it was the best ever, somewhere it dissappeared. I ran across these and ordered. Not as heavy duty as what I had, but already used it several times for the light ice on my windshield and it works so much better than plastic ones.
Good Scraper - could be wider
February 3, 2017
It does the job. It is hard to tell from the picture how wide it is. I have another scraper with a brass blade that is much wider that was purchased locally a number of years ago. The brass scrapers work well as long as you do not get them bent. Does it scratch the windshield? Not sure as the older car I got rid of recently had some minor scratches that might have been because of the blade, or as I suspect, road grit splashed up on the windshield and then in the process of scraping the grit in the stuff scratched the windshield.Love the brass scrapers as they stay flat and do not get nicks like a plastic one does.
Good for Pacific NW frost-covered windshields; I like it
January 3, 2017
Have no complaints, works fine for me. I live in the Pacific NW and encounter mostly various thicknesses of frost-covered windshields for clearing, not so much ice, and really not that often. Have used only plastic devices in the past, this seems much more durable. The narrowness is acknowledged, but not an issue for me really. I would submit that a wider product might seem desirable, but would increase the likelihood of it bending as correspondingly more force would be required to use it. I can see where a bent edge at either end might present a scratching hazard but I have not encountered any scratching myself.
Solid scraper, but small improvements would make it perfect.
February 18, 2015
I'm parking outdoors just north of Indianapolis and dealing with ice and snow a lot nowadays. This is simply the best scraper I've used for getting frost and thin ice off the windshield. The way the blade flexes to confirm to the windshield with just a little pressure lets you finish much quicker because you can completely clear an area with just a few swipes instead of the back and forth, back and forth when using your average plastic scraper. The one negative I've noted is the thin handle - I've broken a few of these when stretching out over the windshield of my truck and applying pressure at an odd angle. But, the price on these is such that when I buy them, I buy 10 at a time every few years. I keep 2 in each door of my truck (just in case one breaks), but most of them disappear because I've given them away to family, friends, and neighbors. There are 2 things I would change to make this better: 1. I would make the metal blade longer. It works great, and usually takes only one swipe to clear a section, but with the narrow blade you still have a lot of work to clear the whole windshield. A wider blade would let you finish a little quicker. 2. I would make the handles thicker and able to withstand a little more pressure if needed. But overall, this has been my go-to scraper for those cold, frosty mornings. Will buy another set again when this batch is gone...
Not the solution to everything
February 2, 2015
I bought a brass scraper under the impression that it was the best thing since sliced bread, and that brass was softer than glass and wouldn't scrape up my windshield.Living in Fairbanks Alaska, I used it many days a year against tough ice, and my windshield looks like s***. Brass scraper-related marks are so deep in the glass that quadruple-ought steel wool couldn't take them out. That said, its TOTALLY worth it.To me.A messed up windshield is a small price to pay in a climate where you would otherwise spend your life cursing -40F ice and cheap plastic scrapers. This thing gets you into your car quickly. The first one lasted about 3 years before snapping at the neck. The second lasted through the rest of my time in Alaska.
Good product, could last longer
May 31, 2014
My car sits outside all winter, so most mornings between mid-November and mid-March, I am scraping frost off my windshield before going to work. There really is no substitute for a brass blade. It works SO MUCH BETTER than plastic. That said, if you are not careful, the brass can bend. Or if you scrape too hard, the handle can break, which is what happened to me. Now, for $7 I am not expecting a product with an ergonomic handle and a titanium blade crafted by a European designers and engineers, so when mine broke I just bought another one. That said, I would pay $30 bucks for something a little more sturdy and comfortable to use, because this device is so handy. One caution -- if there is a layer of frozen rain or sleet on your car windows (not just frost), I would not rely on this as it will break. Run the car for a few minutes with the defroster on to loosen the ice and then give this a run.

Heavy duty for sure
March 4, 2016
not much else to say since we had a mild winter (thank goodness) so I didn't get the chance to use it much neither did my husband but when I did it worked perfectly. No lines left behind nice and smooth right down the glass without scratching.
Angle is important
January 6, 2016
Expensive as far as ice scrapers go. The verdict is still out on their effectiveness. I've found that you have to go sideways on the side windows and up/down on the front/back windows for it to scrape effectively. Maybe that was planned. That being said, once you figure that trick out they work really well.
Nice compact scraper
October 3, 2015
I like these. They are compact and fit into the milk crate in my trunk where I keep stuff like this well. They seem sturdy, and the size of the grip is nice too. Winter and snow is still a few months away, so we'll see how they perform then. Not much too a ice scraper to where you could go wrong though!
good, strong and the back breaks up ice
March 22, 2015
I'd give it 5 stars if it would go out and scrape the windows by itself....., good, strong and the back breaks up ice. Too bad it can't stop the frost from reforming as fast as you scrape on those really cold days.

Flimsy so be careful
July 30, 2017
They work but be gentle if you can as they are flimsy, especially with tough thick ice.
A bit flimsy but does scrape very good.
January 23, 2017
A bit flimsy. Have to hold with two hands to support the neck of scraper. Works great though and the price is okay.
Thin brittle plastic handle.
March 12, 2015
Theses were fine, except it's hard to tell from the picture that the plastic (I wish it was nylon) handle was cheaper than it looks - the underside is somewhat hollowed out making it a much cheaper design. So, the long handle is somewhat useless because if you hold the handle near the middle and put any pressure on it it seems to me that it will just snap on you; that's why I can only give it 3 stars, but for what it costs you can't expect that much - the important part is the copper blade, just be sure to hold it up near the front end when you scrape.
Good, but not Great
January 13, 2015
For the price, it's a bargain, but it's not perfect. The brass blade is nice, but brass can be soft. I've already bent the blade on this, which makes scrapping with it difficult until you can straighten it properly. It would be nice if the brass blade were thicker. Since it is handheld, you cannot put as much effort when scrapping as some of the longer pole ice scrappers. Plus, the small size makes it hard to reach the middle of your windshield if you have a large vehicle. However, it is nice to have a second, backup scrapper.
small little scraper that could ?
January 7, 2014
It was packaged well arrived in a timely fashion so I was able to ship this out to others for Christmas gifts. My first impression was its small and a bit flimsy but hey it didn't cost much either. I have only used it once and it scraped good on some regular snow/ice buildup nothing that was to difficult but it has a very narrow blade so took it longer to clear windshield. I have not heard anything back from others I sent it to either good or bad. I am waiting to get a good ice storm to see if it works better than my big scrapers. So overall for a compact scraper to keep in glove box for windows and ice it seems to be useful.
Works very well, Small handle
May 23, 2012
First, the scrapper works extremely well and cuts through ice, snow, and slush with relative ease. There are no complaints in that regard.Second, the handle is very short, very very short. I am not tall (nor do I have freakishly long arms). If you have a large car it might be difficult to reach the center of the window. If you don't have gloves on your hands will be right down in the thick of the scrapping and get cold and wet.I recommend to be taller and wear gloves.

March 13, 2017
I purchased based on other's reviews. I found it skipped spots. A free marketing scraper I received from an insurance company worked better.
Ok but not great
January 24, 2017
The blades on both of the scrapers do not stay in contact with the windshield or other windows on the two cars I tried them on. The outer edges touch but won't clear a solid width of the scraper. Twice as much effort needed compared to my older scraper. They will be okay as a backup in each vehicle but kinda disappointing.

Does okay but the blade is so small takes a while, the handle is also small, would buy one with bigger blade and more substantial grip.
It does scrape pretty well, though
December 27, 2014
One of the main factors that led me to buy this was that someone had answered a question about scratching glass in the negative. I've experienced the opposite. I've had it for a couple years, and now I have streaks all over my front windshield and side windows. I can only see them when the sun hits the glass at the right angle, but they're definitely there. It does scrape pretty well, though.
Too small no leverage
December 9, 2013
This was a bad purchase for me, nothing "wrong" with the product, but using an eight inch flat scrapper with no real handle on any serious ice is just a waste of time. I should have used some common sense instead of following positive reviews.
Too small and wimpy.
March 12, 2013
If they could put the brass blade on a bigger, manlier scraper, it would make a huge difference. the handle is so small and wimpy, you could give it to your kid to fling corn kernels at people. The plastic handle is like the same material of a credit card. I used this scraper when we had PURE ice on my windshield after a rain-and-freeze. It was the perfect test I had been waiting for. I couldn't help but worry I was scratching my windshield even though I knew it was supposed to be safe. I guess you could say it worked, but it basically only "shaved" the ice. It looked like it was working, but you had to go over the same place many times before you got down to the glass. Also, it is so small there is no reach. I could barely get to the center of my windshield of my sedan, and I'm 6'1". Save yourself the trouble, and go get the biggest manliest plastic scraper you can find. I gave this 2 stars, because I think i can use it to clean the crap out of my oven.

Garbage
January 14, 2017
Not worth it. Flimsy and poorly made. First ice storm and this would do nothing. The other reviews about scratches in glass was a big concern as well. Never got to that point since to weak to remove ice. Just used old heavy plastic scraper with ice shredder on one end and cleared ice. This went into garbage can.
Scratched all of my windows!!!! Do not use.
April 29, 2015
I never used a brass scraper before and saw the good reviews. The scraper is of decent quality for just $4. It did a great job removing the tough ice from this past northeast winter. However, it put a ton of fine scratches in all my windows!!! It scratched both my 2010 Ford Taurus and 2009 Honda Civic. The scratches are very visible in sunlight and at night with headlights. Most $ damage I've incurred had with only a $4 item.
Don't hold your breath
March 5, 2015
Did not live up to claims at all. Short handle makes leverage difficult to get at the thick ice plus would be very hard to use for any big SUVs or Trucks. Best use would be for frost and thats it
too small
June 8, 2014
I was surprised at how small this scraper really was when it arrived. The handle is too short and the blade to narrow. We returned it and got the larger size with the longer handle and wider blade instead.

Not what I expected
December 22, 2016
The purpose of an ice scraper is to cleanly shave off the frost or ice off the window or the windshield. It needs to have a smooth sharp blade to do so. It needs to be a tool instead of a toy. These have a molded edge that does not work any better than the $1.99 ones on promo at the auto parts store. I had to scrub hard and they left streaks everywhere. Yes, The handle is comfortable...
Not good
December 10, 2016
I bought these based on the review, but these are just horrible. They made a horrible screeching noise on the window and it took forever to clear my window.
Don't waste your money
December 9, 2016
Extremely poor surface contact. I would get better coverage scraping the ice off my truck with a rake. I had to use a completely different scrapper to clear my windshield this morning. The blade feels smooth but not the case performance wise.
The scrappers that I ordered are working very good.

I was expecting to receive a copper or bronze blade scraper! However, I did not read the ad very well, and these hard plastic blades work surprising well. Thanks,Andy Fuentes
