Five Star Reviews: | 40% There are no reviews yet | 45% Five Stars September 16, 2015 Very happy with the sound quality on these, especially for the price. Have recommended them to several people. these things are awesome. best budget headphones out there August 25, 2015 these things are awesome. best budget headphones out there, hands down...My girlfriend actually got these first which is how I found out about them. She sat down with her sister and they tried them out side by side with a pair of Beats by dre and she said they couldn't tell a difference. Now granted, they are not audio experts, but that should still tell you a bit about how good they sound. As far as comfort goes, I've never had a pair of headphones this comfortable, the cushion is awesome on your ears. Seriously, they are like marshmallows. Also it creates a pretty good seal against outside sound which is why I bought them. I live in nyc and I was looking to block out as much excess subway noise as possible. These definitely get the job done. They look nice too! Perfect for a busy open office August 21, 2015 I work in a busy office and sometimes need some quiet to get some readong or work done. I love these because they're bright and let people know I'm busy since I don't have a door to close. They're very soft and comfortable. If I have on earrings, I can tuck them into the cups rather than taking them off. Just fyi- I use either simply noise (on the 'brown' setting) or simply rain to cancel noise rather than play music. You can find both on Google, but they're my favorite to be productive without distractions. I also purchased Zeskit 12' Premium Audio Cable 3.5mm Braided to extend the cord length since my computer sits on the floor. Love these! My five year old uses with our ... July 11, 2015 Love these! My five year old uses with our iPhone and iPad. Perfect for the plane Great Headphones June 29, 2015 These are very useful headphones for a great price. First of all, they are comfortable. They don't irritate your head or ears when their on. I used to have headphones that hurt my ears and now I'm so happy I got these! The ear part has a cushion that makes the headphones so much more comfortable. Second, when you have the headphones on, you can't hear anything from the outside, only the music/anything you are listening to. Third, the cord is long. This is just helpful in general. You could have your computer on a table and still have the headphones on. Fourth, they are light and not bulky. They're easy to carry. Fifth, they are stylish. Lastly, for the price is outstanding. I think the quality of sound could be improved but overall these are amazing. Great alternative to more expensive headphones May 9, 2015 Purchased two sets of headphones, earbuds and these. Absolutely loves these. Earbuds tend to hurt my ears. These fit perfectly around my ears and deliver great sound while muffling the noise around me while I try to work. Lightweight, easy to adjust to my small head size. Cost SO MUCH LESS that Beats and Boss. Use mostly with my Mac air, but works great with my iPhone too |
Four Star Reviews: | 23% There are no reviews yet | 18% But it. You can't go wrong! May 11, 2016 To qualify, I was a music major in college and once conducted a full orchestra. I'm very picky. Nuff said? OK, so.... For the price, sound quality is great! I've heard better, of course, but what's your budget? It does have a gold connector (yes, real gold) which makes for best digital sound transfer. I haven't tried the mic but based on the in-line volume and play control, working flawlessly, I assume the mic is fine. Most folks won't ever use it. The soft/cushy/oh-so-comfy ear pieces are near the point of exterior sound cancelling. Ascetically, they look awesome - better than the picture! I didn't expect that but nice bonus! Look....... just buy them. Totally worth the price and you can't go wrong. I'm giving it only four out of five stars because like I said, I've heard better. Like I said, I'm picky and looking for some kind of help group for that problem. Enjoy! Not nearly the best available, but not at all bad. November 21, 2015 The sound quality on these headphones are pretty good (not like, amazing, I never write reviews on Amazon, and I came here to write a bad one; but definitely more than good enough) and they can be made unreasonably loud which I consider good; the foam is great at reducing both incoming and outgoing noise. A lot of reviews say the foam is really soft and comfortable...I can agree it's soft but if you wear glasses you're gonna need to mess around with them and find a position where they don't push your frames into your ears/skill. Once you find that position, however, they're reasonably comfortable, but I can attest they're much more comfortable when I'm not wearing my glasses. The thing that impressed me was that after only five days my left earphone went completely dead, and now matter how good something seems if it breaks from normal use in under a week it's a bad product; I came here to write a bad review. But as I was writing, I remembered that they had accidentally gotten forcefully unplugged yesterday (I have a laptop with a lot of stuff plugged in...tangles and tripping happen on occasion) and I had checked to make sure the jack wasn't damaged. It seemed fine at the time but I did some experimenting and I was able to find out it had been bent, and I was able to bend it back into its former glory. Pretty durable, I guess is my point. The microphone is alright. Theres no clip so if you want to use it you either have to attach it to yourself some other way or just let it flop around and barrage your friends' ears with pops and bumps...my friends are okay with that but a lot of people find it annoying. If the mic is important to you (like if you're trying to buy a computer headset or something) then definitely look elsewhere, its not that its unusable as one it's just that you can find ones better suited to the task, but as a pair of headphones that happen to have a microphone on them I really have no complaints beyond "they're not the best out there"; there are better headphones you can get for $40, but if these are on sale or just happen to have the exact right combination of features you're looking for (both of these things were true for me) then it's a purchase you won't regret. Absolutely Perfect September 27, 2015 I bought these before i went away to college since I hate noise, especially when im trying to work. I wasnt going to get a quiet environment while dorming, and went searching for noise cancelling headphones. This was the single best purchase i made for college.I tested these the night before with my mother, who had a conversation with her friend on the phone while i was in the room. I had these on a modest volume level, less than half volume, most certainly, and i could hear her talking, but I couldnt hear any specific words. Then later, when I actually arrived at college, i had these on while working in the dorm lounge. I completely focused and the background noise dampened considerably. There were fireworks outside last night, and i barely heard them, even with all the windows open. The list goes on.Of course, they arent COMPLETELY noise cancelling, but they might as well be, as any noise you CAN hear is reduced to an "ignorable" level. For the price, you certainly cant get any better, and i would highly, highly, highly recommend them!Edit!! They didnt last as long as i think they should have, but it was long enough for me not to get annoyed about it. i think it mustve been 7 or 8 months, whereas i was expecting them to last a year. It also seems like the price has gone up considerably, when i bought them they were $20, so 8 months is a decent time for them to last. I wouldnt buy them for more than that. Pretty good for the price. I was impressed. September 19, 2015 For the price they exceeded my expectations. I would give them 5 stars, but they aren't perfect. For wearing them for a long time they can become uncomfortable. I think they kind of squeeze my head a bit...not too small, but just the shape they make puts a little more pressure on my ears than is comfortable for long periods. I think this is also partly because they sit on the ear and not over. The volume control works, but there is a dead spot on the lower end of it so you have to move it up a decent amount before it starts to adjust the volume. Mic seems to work fine. People have been able to hear me during calls and no complaints so far. I would recommend for someone who wants a cheap pair, with mic and volume control. They sound decent too for the price. Liked it! Would've given it one more star August 25, 2015 Liked it! Would've given it one more star....except when I opened up the package, one of the emblems on the ear piece had fallen off and was stuck to the bubble wrap. The sound quality is great. Bass is clear with no distortion. Comfortable fit and cute pink color! headphone and mic work well but the headphone band is ... August 20, 2015 headphone and mic work well but the headphone band is quite large so the headphones don't stay in place very well. I bought then for my 11 year old son to use at school and they are to big for him. I am an adult female and they are to big for me as well. |
Three Star Reviews: | 13% There are no reviews yet | 10% Surprise, the cord shorted out. May 1, 2017 The sound wasn't bad, but they lasted less than a year and a half before the wire shorted out. I originally purchased December 2015 and it is now May 2017 and I'm shopping for some new headphones. I knew it was going to happen when I saw the cord. The end that goes into the headphones have a thick rubber coating to stabilize them, but the end that goes into the plugin has nothing, and of course that's where they shorted.Every pair of headphones I've ever purchased has failed in the same way, the wire shorting out after a couple years, so I'm opting for a pair with a detachable wire this time around, so it'll be cheaper to replace in the future. I should start this review by saying that the headphones themselves are of very good quality. Good sound September 30, 2016 Now, I should start this review by saying that the headphones themselves are of very good quality. Good sound, comfortable around the ears, and do block out outside noise surprisingly well. The main problem, for me, lay in the durability of the cord. About a month after I bought these headphones, the jack-end of the cord started giving out. It manifested first as a string of minor annoyances (audio being paused randomly, phone responding to voice command when I hadn't said anything, etc.) Eventually, it devolved to the point where only the left speaker would actually play sound.Knowing this product had a warranty, I contacted customer service. I have nothing but praise for them, by the way. Very nice people, very prompt with their replies, and very helpful and informative about what my options were. So, I got another pair sent to me. And, a few weeks later, ran into the same problem. Same M/O, same progression -- literally, the same problem, twice. I have since moved on to trying a different pair, for obvious reasons. Now, I should add that I am a very active headphone user. I like to listen to my music while walking, doing chores, etc. As such, there were occasions when the cord would catch on something (doorknobs, usually) and sometimes would be yanked so hard they were actually unplugged. However, with a 6-foot-long cord, one would usually expect it to be proofed against such things. And no, I didn't just leave the cord at full length. I made sure to wrap up a section of it to keep it out of the way, As such, I can only recommend this product to people who are looking for a nice, affordable pair of headphones for their computer, or other such sedentary use.Tldr: Good headphones, great customer service, but wears out a little too quickly to be of use to the physically active listener. Great price, not so great quality September 21, 2016 My headphones arrived yesterday and I honestly wasn't expecting much. So I was pleasantly surprised when I put them on and felt how comfortable they are, and how well they sound, with one exception...The bass response is great on one side but not the other. One side had very strong bass, while on the other side it was audible but not nearly as strong. Mid and high frequencies sound great on both sides. Bass, not so much. (Yes, I tried switching them around to make sure it's not a problem with my ears!) Ordinarily, I would return them for an exchange, but it would cost me as much to package and ship them back than it did to buy them in the first place. And the defect is not so horrible that it's ruining my music listening entirely. If not for that, I would probably give it 5 stars. Now let's see how long they last with regular use. I just like to be able to listen to my music and ... May 22, 2016 These headphones were a solid okay. I'm not the kind of person who really cares about the nuances of sound in headphones and mics and such. I just like to be able to listen to my music and for that, these are really great. I had no issue with the sound or the mic, but I did have issues with the cable itself. Within less than a month, this headset was shorting out, so I quickly replaced them with another pair of these, being extra careful this time around, only to have the same issue. If you plan on using these in a place where you will be plugging and unplugging a lot, having to twist up the cord, or just putting a lot of wear and tear on them in general, I would keep looking, but if your headphones are to stay mostly stationary, then these would work just fine.I am in high school, so of course, I can't keep them out and plugged in all the time and they suffered a lot because of that. These headphones were pretty cool otherwise! Great Quality, Doesn't Last Long March 21, 2016 Took me forever to get these because they sent me the wrong kind at first. I had ordered red and black and I got the white ones. So after a long battle, I finally got them on March 8. I loved how comfortable they were and the audio was fantastic. March 18, however, the right earphone started cutting out. March 19, the headphones began sending my devices ungiven commands, such as pausing, summoning Siri, and ending phone calls. By March 20, the right headphone ceased to work. The usefulness of these headphones lasted 12 days. 12. Great quality, complete crap durability. Good audio quality, but falls apart in a week November 7, 2015 They're really flimsily made. I had mine for about two weeks, and now they just will not work. After one week, the audio became distorted, cutting off certain parts. It wasn't just one ear that went deaf, but the entire thing became painful to listen to unless I could hold it at certain angles. it only took one more week before that wouldn't work either, so now everything just sounds off. After that I left it alone, and two days later when moving it one of the earbuds fell off. Even the plastic part beneath the earbud fell off, and it will not snap back into place. While it was working the audio quality was great. It wasn't beats quality, but still rather good. If you want to test your luck and hope you get one well made that will last for a year, it is worth buying. I guess I bought the faulty one. I might try again while its still $20, but that should be the only price it should be bought at. $40 is way too high for something that breaks so quickly. I love the color and design, and I would probably use this brand a lot more if that didn't happen.tl;dl It breaks quickly, but is great while it lasts. Don't pay more than $20 for it, though.Edit: My new pair came in, and they worked fairly well. It did not come in the same case as the last one, which included a pouch to carry the headset. This was slightly disappointing, as the cords are very long and the headset cannot fold in for easy transport. I see why so many people have complained about traveling with it. Had I not ordered a previous headset, this would be a huge flaw in my experience, and while it was not ruined, it is still too risky to recommend. This set lasted significantly longer, but it still wasn't long enough. One month after buying the headphones, the audio quality dropped. I cannot listen to anything now, as most of the audio is cut out, and the rest is faded to be incomprehensible. It would be cheaper to buy Beats, because those last a decent amount of time. Having to constantly replace them is a huge downside that kills the brand for me. |
Two Star Reviews: | 11% There are no reviews yet | 9% ... only the second thing I have ever given a bad review on July 1, 2017 This is one only the second thing I have ever given a bad review on, don't get me wrong, you might light them for the price but for me, the sound was not as great as it made it seem unless you are using apple, I my self am an android guy, and in my opinion its just poor quality, the audio jack ripped out and it stopped working only two days after I bought it. NOT WORTH IT June 8, 2017 ***UPDATE*** October 2017. I had to BUY, for pennies, another 3 pairs for various problems!! They refused to let me return the defective pairs, now I see why. Don't waste your time or money!Love them, I can control volume, pause and listen on my iPad while it sits on my night table!! they are a tad loose, which is saying something because I have a fat head!! The cord is a bit tangly, but they improved the connections since my first pair, so that is great! I was hopeful for an affordable but good quality headphones April 14, 2016 Considering the fair reviews this had, I was hopeful for an affordable but good quality headphones. Believe me when I say I have learned that you can't be cheap with quality. Initially, these headphones were fine. However, it has been roughly 2-3 months since I have had them and now there is no sound at all coming from the right side. Even before that, when I was playing music on my phone with these headphones connected, the songs would just stop or suddenly change by themselves. I tried listening to the same phone with a different pair of headphones and had no such issues. Overall, I am quite disappointed with these headphones but I have learned my lesson. Pay more and get a pair of higher quality headphones. I am about to scrap these. Decent at best, broke after about a month January 5, 2016 The biggest positive is that it's relatively comfortable, although it's kinda big. However, it still gets uncomfortable around 45 minutes. It looks nice. Cancels sound well. The sound quality itself is decent, although some there can be some distortion here and there, vocals not particular warm. The cord is very long, which I saw as a negative especially considering its plastic texture that would often get stuck against things. It's a hassle to stuff the cord in a pocket. The volume control is far, far too sensitive and practically useless. Not convenient to carry around, it's large and clunky. The headphones broke in about a month. Would not recommend. There are headphones for about the same price with better sound quality, that easier to carry around, more comfortable, and last much longer. Not my best investment unfortunately December 12, 2015 Sound quality was great after tinkering with a few sound settings on my computer, really no complaints in that department. The"noise cancellation" was at a complete minimum though, if there really is any to begin with. I wouldn't consider these headphones at all if you need ambient noise reduction. The microphone was either faulty or does not work on computers without an adapter of some sort, which is not included with the headphone nor is this mentioned in the description. In terms of comfort, they are very lightweight which is good but unless you have very small ears these will make your ears ache within 30-45 minutes of wearing them. Also within a short period of time I got hot/sweaty ears, very uncomfortable feeling, not one most would want with their headphones, especially for extended use. For a cheap pair of headphones that you only need for short periods of time. then these might do the trick, but I would personally pass. So comfy September 9, 2015 After going through countless broken connections and sore ears from earbuds, I made the switch to these soft and comfy headphones. I Really love this headset. Easy to mute and adjust volume. Light weigh. Great sound. Extra protection around cord connection. I don't know what took me so long to make the switch.Update: The wire connection broke on this headset after 3 months of use, so the headset went in the trash. You can buy 3 sets of the Panasonic On-Ear Headphones RP-HT21 for the price I paid for these. |
One Star Reviews: | 13% There are no reviews yet | 18% Two defective pairs, but nice seller! June 23, 2016 I ordered these for my daughter and only one of the ear pieces worked, so we returned them and got a second pair. The second pair worked for about 2 weeks and then the same thing happened... one ear piece wouldn't produce any sound at all. I don't recommend these at all because they obviously have some kind of defect or a serious design flaw. Both pairs we ordered were the blue color, just FYI.** UPDATE **I was contacted by the seller after they read my review and offered me a refund, which I happily accepted. I still wouldn't recommend the product, but the seller is very nice and I would recommend them. FAILED AFTER FOUR MONTHS!!! May 20, 2016 Bought 3 of these. Within 4 months every single one of them had one side that would not work. They were originally comfortable and worked well and we loved them, BUT something that fails within 4 months is a complete sham. DON'T BUY! I love the volume control button on the side May 1, 2016 I love the volume control button on the side. My boyfriend is a snob and he even enjoys them. The only thing is after a while it starts to hurts my ears (possibly because I have piercings out the wazoo).Edited:Just the other day I was using them and the sound didn't come through clearly. I thought it was maybe because I was using them with my tablet for the first time and that doesn't get very loud. Tonight I plug them into my computer and only the left side works. I have kept great care with these headphones so I have no idea what happened. I've had them for about 3 months. I'm sad about this.I'm going to look into a warranty but I doubt there is one. Unfortunate February 29, 2016 So, let me start with the CONS of these headphones:They arrived broken. They were only working in the left ear, even though I babied them out of their box.If I turned the volume down slightly, it sounded like it might be playing out of the right ear, but upon further inspection, it's wasn't, just had a different sound in the left. They are plastic, strong plastic, but plastic nonetheless. The cord is SUPER long, which isn't quite a con, but it can be troublesome, so let's just say it's a grey area. And now, the PROS:They are cute. Did I mention they're cute? Because they are RIDICULOUSLY CUTE. Like a kitten sleeping kinda cute. The plastic is thick and very strong, at least I think; I didn't test the limits, but they seemed durable. The comfort level is out of this world. I have a larger head and it fit perfectly with plenty of room to spare, over my ears. I wore them for about an hour and they didn't bother me whatsoever. The mic sound is awesome from what others told me, didn't pick up background noise to my knowledge. The sound, from the ear that worked, was pretty darn sweet. The bass was high and the vocals were clear; very much like Skull Candy. All in all, I hope I can get a refund, or more preferably, a replacement, because I love them a lot.If they worked, I'd recommend these up the wall; but it's a gamble on what you'll receive for your $20; so I'd say either wait till they fix the issue or find a different company... Now times that by six and the sound can be very annoying. Basically February 3, 2016 I bought six of these to use with the six Kindle Fires that are used in my class. The headsets do not work very well with the Kindles. The plugs do not go completely into the socket, which means the sound can be heard as if there was no headset being used. Now times that by six and the sound can be very annoying. Basically, these headsets are crap. They are not worth the money. I wish that I could get a refund, but it is too late. Now I have to buy another six headsets to use in the class. Not a good thing on a teacher's salary. Mic broke on the first day December 2, 2015 The sound is decent, but the in-line microphone broke on literally the first day of use. It's a cheaply made product, and not worth the money. |
