I had ordered the same kind of microwave I had before because I was pleased with my old one. The one I replaced was 12 years old so I felt safe getting the new version of the old. I am very happy with it and look forward to same long relationship I had with my old model!

GE still produces some of the best products out there. Once I got used to the proper touch on the key pad and the position of particular keys, it was easy to warm, defrost and cook everything. I have become creative with warming times and powers for several items and have never been disappointed.

Worked beautifully. The range lights have 2 setting night and bright. They work well by my door and are replaceable.

I really like this microwave. Cooks everything very evenly and it really makes the appearance of my kitchen stand out. I did have to adjust the area where it was being mounted due to the Tile backsplash in my kitchen, but that's not really the microwaves fault.

Installed this microwave in May of 2015 and its working great so far. It fit into the exisitng cabinet opening and installation was easy. Looks great and family is happy with the purchase. This unit seems well made and likely to last.

Love it. I saved a few hundred dollars by not buying the steam sensor version, both scored at the top of Consumer Reports. Didn't miss the sensor a bit.

Only had it two months but love it. Has great popcorn feature that works. My old microwave had a popcorn feature that burned the popcorn.

The oven is a very good product. Did receive the oven with a small dent on right side, but decided that it was not an issue to have to deal with. Built a special shelving for the oven, and the system is working very well.

Made my daughter happy for her first new home. Easy to install.

Love the microwave. Looks great above the new stove in the remodeled kitchen.

This was a top-rated performer in CR; at much lower price than the up-scale version.Pros:very quiet in operation;different audible signals for end of cook and end of kitchen timertwo under-cabinet lights give relatively uniform illumination.So-so:not the fastest cooker, 1 KW vs. 1.1 and higher in others.Cons:control panel markings very hard to see in dim light.clock readout segments are dim, and the colon is overly bright. The price is right. One warning to buyers though, the exhaust fan is automatic. While you can manually turn it on, you should be aware that if it detects heat from the stove underneath it then it will stay on until it thinks that things have cooled down. And it is *loud*. The microwave itself is quieter than our last one, but a fan that you can't turn off - that's almost a deal breaker.

Overall, we have been happy with this over the range microwave. My husband and I were able to install this ourselves where our old microwave had been. The instructions are decent. We used the fan to vent into the exterior of our home and it was pretty easy to convert the fan to do this, but it comes setup to vent into your kitchen. The fan is a little loud, but no louder than our old microwave's fan. The lack of a backlight on the keypad hasn't been a huge issue. It did come with a couple of slight dents on the side, but they aren't noticeable once installed. Overall, for the price, this has been a good replacement for our old microwave.

So far so good. It has all the features I need, I like that you press 1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes etc without having to press anything else. You can also add 30 seconds. At first I thought it wasn't as powerful as my previous one but actually cook time is much the same. I've only had it three weeks but it's just fine.

I bought this from a big box hardware store. Professional installation was only $60+ and 3 guys showed up who installed it fast and perfectly. Not worth messing with install IMO and you can buy the service here on Amazon too, I believe (might be a touch more but still cheap enough).Let me lay out the Pros and Cons...Pros:1. Well priced.2. Looks great.3. Feels sturdy.4. Full featured.Cons:1. My unit does not cook properly in center.2. Pre-programmed settings (bacon, defrost, popcorn) seem off considerably, minimizing their usefulness.So I'll go 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. This looks nicer than the old Frigidaire microwave it replaced, but the Frigidaire was a better unit.

Looks like a newer microwave than the one I had to return. Much better shape and works as expected.

I bought this unit recently and so far, we are happy with it. I had never installed a microwave on my own but this time, with the help of a family member and a installation video on YouTube, we were able to install it relatively easily.The unit is good and heats item very quickly. However, the ventilation fan's noise is slightly on the louder side. In addition, the microchips/electric circuitry inside the microwave is relatively heat sensitive. A couple of times, we were cooking on our oven and didn't bother turning on the microwave's ventilation on. However, after about a few minutes, the fan turned on by itself and no matter, how many times we pressed the off button it wouldn't turn off. Ultimately, we had to unplug the microwave. However, when we plugged it right away, the problem resurfaced and again we would need to unplug the microwave b/c the on/off button for the ventilation system wouldn't work and wouldn't let us turn off the ventilation fan. Only if left the microwave unplugged for 5-10 min and then plugged it back, everything would return to normal.When we called Samsung, we came to find out that this was a safety "feature" rather than a "bug". The automatic turning on of the ventilation system happens to protect the electronic circuitry inside the microwave. That's why even after unplugging, when we plugged right back, the ventilation system would stay on because the circuitry didn't have enough time to cool down. Only after 5-10 minutes, its temperature would return to normal and that's why when we plugged after that, the microwave worked without any issue. So now, we turn on the ventilation system any ways and it's working fine. Samsung's customer support has been pretty good and they gave us a follow up call to ensure that everything was fine and verify if their contractor/mechanic had resolved the issue.So overall, for us, this has been a decent microwave at a great price!

The only reason I only gave it 3 stars is because the buttons are so dark it is hard to read.Like the last 3 I have had above the range, the plug and vent were all in different place.The bracket that hold it up has sides that are not needed and had to drill holes that hole it up in a different place.They need to standardize these.The microwave works great. The fan is not to loud. The light is much brighter than the last one.Finally I like the express buttons. You push 6 and you get 6 minute cook time you can also add 30 seconds

It's not the greatest microwave. I had wanted to buy a Siemens one, but it wasn't available in time. This microwave, though it has done well in tests, has a fairly flimsy, plasticy feel, and the door didn't close properly and needed fixing on delivery. It's also fairly noisy. Each time I use it I wonder when it's going to fall apart or stop working...

Door is defective. Must push it hard otherwise time counting down without microwave working. I would not buy it again.

Bought on Amazon new 1/31/16 and lasted until 2/22/17. Does not heat up. It is a 10/15 model so out of warranty. Called Samsung and they have to schedule a repair tech to come out and take a look, only then can he/she give me a price to let me know how much the repair is.

we were missing the glass plate for and ring for the inside of the microwave, so we used our old plate.

The glass dish for the microwave flew out of the sealed box when we loaded it onto our truck to move to our new house. Very poor packing design. However, Samsung was very cooperative in replacing it with another, even though it has taken more than 2 weeks to receive the replacement.

It is a low end model... But, it certainly was cheap ....

The buttons should light up. Can't see where the light button is at night.

The top was dented , no back light, the top of the micro-wave on the left gets very hot, steams up inside door .Also has a dent looking place inside the window. I had a GE on before and never had a problem

I'm giving this a poor review because of the following issues we had:In order to install the charcoal grease filter in the front of the microwave, you simply remove 2 screws and take off the cover. NOT SO EASY. My husband (who is no sissy) had to drill out one of these screws because it was impossible to get out. They have this set up to vent out the side or back, but we converted venting to the front (per the instructions) and these screws were impossible to get out. Needless to say, it works and still looks nice, so that is my only major complaint. I will update my review after it has been in use a while.

First, my previous microwave was a GE Profile, which lasted 15 years. As for this GE version, this is the second time I've ordered it in the last three weeks. Both times the box had SLIGHT damage (first box was poked; 2nd box was banged) Both had dents on the upper front and upper side. This would be prevented by packaging the microwave in a larger box with cushioning. Because I'm without a microwave, we hooked the first one up. It feels very cheap and "tinny" compared to my previous GE. I'm hoping when the third replacement comes and it is fully installed, it will sound better when closing the door instead of like a $50 model. The motor seems to delay a few seconds before going on... I am not sure if it is damaged inside and that is why??? Because of the reviews of others and on Consumer Reports, I'm going to give this one last try. I will try to update once we have the third replacement installed.

I purchased this particular microwave because of the reported reliability and high average customer rating. Although the vent fan was surprisingly loud on the highest of two settings, we were pleased with this microwave for 10 months; until it produced a burning electronics smell and stopped working. Time off work for a GE service call and we were back in business...for about a month. Another puff of burning electronics and another service call scheduled. It's safe to say this will be the last service call, as the 1-year warranty ends in three weeks.

Arrived with a big dent on the top corner. Side was bulging out enough to halt installation (won't fit between cabinets). Tried to return it but it was too much trouble (big item, shipping costs, etc.). I decided to apply a little "persuasion" (wood stock and a little hammer) to better the shape and make it fit. Did work.
It seems to work fine. Will see over time.

Highest power setting won’t even cook a bag of Costco popcorn properly. Very, very weak in terms of cooking. Unfortunately, the contractor installing it had a number of delays so my return window has closed. I’m stuck with this thing just for the vent & we still have to use the old off-brand microwave sitting on the counter. It will cook, it just takes longer than others - even my old off brand one-which had lost power over time is faster. We literally cannot cook a while bag of popcorn - the old counter microwave works fine so it’s not the popcorn.

Just opened today...unit was damaged...was going to return but the return window closed 2 days ago...unfortunately I just open the package

Had this item for 1yr and 3 months and now it has stopped working. This has only been used for popcorn, reheating and once in awhile for steaming vegetables, other than that it sat idle. At least for the first year it worked, then it began tripping the circuit. If it had worked as it was said to have worked rating would be higher but due to issues I'd give it half star.

Good product but all the glass was broken I do not recommend ordering online such fragile items

We have been using this item for 1 year and a few weeks and it has already died on us. When it was working it made an odd creaking noise as the plate turned. This does not seem to be a quality product.

Cane with missing screw to screw it into the upper cabinet. Also an indent in the corner.

I bought this from Sears in June and all was fine until the 23rd of December, when it stopped heating. I called Samsung, and they had me check again to make sure it wasn't heating, and it still wasn't. Then they told me this model is no longer under warranty. I told them I had purchased it just six months ago, and they required me to send them a copy of the receipt, which I did. I called on Tuesday, the 27th, and they told me they hadn't received the purchase slip. I sent it again, and they got it, then told me, that it would be between 40 and 80 business hours before they would schedule an appointment.Now, I understand that they wouldn't fix it the day before Christmas Eve, but really, it takes a week to be told that it would take one to two weeks just to get an appointment? Plus, I know that we live in a global economy, but when I cannot understand the person taking my complaint, it makes it that much worse.So far, they still haven't called to schedule the appointment.I bought a Samsung because I thought they were reliable. I would recommend that you not buy anything that's not a phone from Samsung.

1.5 year later and it's dead as a door nail, I would definitely look at other brands. Won't be replacing with a Samsung product.

It said refurbished. But when it arrived it looked like it fell out of an airplane.

This is a piece of junk. This is the 2nd microwave I have had from Samsung, this exact one and now a year later, this one is dead too. All of my Samsung appliances keep breaking down and they are all less than 4 years old.

Absolute piece of JUNK. There is another four letter word that better describes this unit that I will not put here. I bought this unit in January and by May, the fan would come on at random times. I would get up in the morning and find it running. It took two service calls to get this problem fixed. Then in July, the unit got to the point that it would only heat every once in awhile. After four service calls, this problem still hasn't been corrected. Samsung has now told us that they would refund our money on a prorated bases only after we cut the power cord and take a picture of the cord and the serial number and send it to them. I don't have a problem with cutting the power cord or sending a picture of the serial number but, I fell Samsung should replace my microwave at no cost to me. I bought this unit in good faith that Samsung was a company that would stand behind their products. I own a Samsung big screen TV, Samsung Range and a Samsung refrigerator. I will never purchase another Samsung product. I wish I could give this unit and Samsung a no star rating.
