Can be difficult to use. Some helpful tips…
September 6, 2017
These kinds of kits can be hard to use. User “Traveling with Charlie” posted a great tutorial. To that, I will add a few comments:1) This will be obvious to many, but to find the leak, you spray the tire with soapy water and look for the bubbling spot. Charlie pictured this but did not specifically mention it in writing.2) For a front tire, you can work with it on the car if you turn the steering all the way to one side and have an assistant slowly roll the car away from you while you inspect the tire.3) For a rear tire, it is necessary to remove it from the vehicle for access. The lug wrench that came with your car will probably not give you enough leverage to loosen the lug nuts, especially if they have been over-tightened, which is very common. You will need something more powerful. Search “lug wrench” on Amazon for good options (skip the cross-shaped 4-way lug wrenches). Store whatever you get in your car in case you get a flat on the road.4) Charlie explains how to use the lube. Many similar kits do not include lube, but this kit is nearly impossible to use without it, so do not skip it. Tossing some q-tips into the kit will give you something to spread the lube with minimal mess. This kit is good quality at a great price. Fixing your own tire punctures can save a lot of money over time. Tire shops can install high quality patch/plugs for you, often at reasonable prices, but getting the car there when they are open, and having to leave it, can be inconvenient. Also, they will refuse to plug anywhere near the shoulder of the tire, and often try to up-sell you to a new tire.
Best tire repair kit
September 5, 2017
After wife got a nail in her motorcycle tire yesterday and knowing I had a nail in my motorcycle tire from a previous ride I knew I had to do something. After looking at this kit and reading reviews it seemed like a awesome deal. Ordered yesterday and got it today and repaired both tires already. Works flawless and tools are real sturdy since they are metal. Only tip I have is push slowly until about a 1/4" of plug sticks out and cut it smooth with a razor blade or other cutters. I pushed a bit aggressively and pushed 1st plug all the way in so I needed another plug but learning curve was over at that point.
Great
July 10, 2017
Didn't use it yet, hope not to use if at all, but good to have for just and case.
Nice set for the price! May buy another
May 28, 2017
For the price this is a nice set. The blow molded case is a bonus. Much easier to store. Handles are heavy duty and have some weight to them which helps inserting. I did however, loosen setscrews and Loctite them in securely. An allen wrench is included in case you need to swap handles due to breakage (apply heat lightly to setscrew to soften Loctite)
Good quality set

I've had several different tire repair (plug) tools over my lifetime but this is the best I've had regarding quality. It comes complete with everything you need to make plugging a tire simple. I would recommend everyone have one of these in their tool arsenal.
How to plug a tire. With a Professional kit !
November 23, 2015
This is the most professional kit you can buy.Everything has a professional feel about it. The first thing I did, was use one of the supplied Allen wrench to make certain all four Allen screws were tight on both metal T handles.I have used it at least ten times already.Easy to use and here's how:Step 1: Make certain you have at least 20psi of air in the tire because it will work easier and then locate the nail, screw or object and verify that it is leaking as shown in photo #1.Step 2: Before removing the object put some of the provided lube on the tip of the spiral probe saw tool and set it aside so it is ready and you don't lose much air trying to lube it later as shown in photo #2. This tool is used to basically clean and widen the hole.Step 3: Remove the screw or object and quickly insert the spiral saw into the hole pushing it all the way in and then pull and twist the saw in and out about 4 times without actually allowing the tool to come all the way out of the tire and then stop and leave it in the hole so that you won't loose much air while preparing the t handle inserting tool as show in photo #3Step 4: Put one of the string plugs through the tip of the insert tool and pull half way through until both ends are equal distance away from the tip and pull both ends down towards the Handle. Then apply some lube to allow for a smooth and easy insertion as shown in photo #4.Step 5: Push the string plug into the hole with the T- handle insertion tool until about 1/4" of the sting plug remaining and then pull the insertion tool out with one swift pull as shown in photo #5. "The round metal part on the insertion tool is to use if your having a problem with the plug wanting to come out when you pull the tool out but I've never had to use that yet."Step 6: Use Diaganal wire cutters, knife or a razor blade to trim off the remaining plug as close to the tire as possible as shown in photo #6 and #7.Photo # 8 is a view of everything that comes in the kit. I love the case so I can keep everything organized.

Great tube patch kit...TT 02 / 25mm patch kit...TT 01 16mm patch kit.
June 9, 2017
I've been using the patches for a long time and they work perfect for patching my tubes.I have a buddy who has a lot of flats and I have to keep plenty patches around because I wont throw away a good tube just because of a small hole and have the money to go out and buy a new tube.I keep a spare tube on each of my electric bikes and if I have a flat I can fix it then and patch the bad one when I get home When somebody in the neighborhood who's homeless or don't have the money to buy a new tube I'll give them the patched tube which happens pretty often where I live.I'm not going to tell you how to patch a tube so just have a lot of flats so you'll get plenty of practice and you'll learn soon enough.Update: 06/18/1017BTW some times you can buy a bad tube that'll leak between the valve stem and the rubber especially if you carry heavy loads like I do on my eZip Trailz bike. It's easy to tell if the tube is leaking between the stem and rubber with some diluted dish liquid and spray it on the valve stem..."Tire pumped up good first!"If you see any bubbles from the valve stem go get the smallest automotive hose clamp..."See photo".. and put it on the valve stem about a 14 inch up from the rim /wheel..if the tube is installed in the tire and wheel. My eZip Trailz weighs about 90m lbs, I'm 185lbs and I carry up to 80lbs of groceries and pull a Aosum cargo trailer with a weight capacity of 180lbs with my eZip bike.Having a flat tire in the Florida heat.

When I get a flat on a ride I put in a new tube. When I get home I patch the hole in the comfort of my own home where I can take my time and make sure I do the job in a clean environment. Using a peel and stick patch might work, maybe. This patch kit will work. Using the old school tried and true method of vulcanizing rubber and strong durable patches this is a repair that will last. Rema is the best brand.
Rema Tip Top patch kids, don't leave home without them!
December 16, 2015
If you ride a bike with tubed tires this is the best kit to carry on every ride. I have several of the Rema kits, including a few probably 20 years old now. The glue does eventually evaporate, but the patches still work. Wish they sold just small tubes of the glue as I have a lifetime of patches. But they work, as noted. The instructions are concise and spot on for a proper repair. I have never had a Rema patch fail. Tire fails before the patches in every case. Along with a pump or CO2 inflator, every bike should carry the Rema kits.
Must have little kit
August 18, 2015
Perfect little kit for your saddle bag. Emphasis on little as it's slightly bigger than a few stacked wooden match books. Shortly after purchasing, I got a pinch flat after hitting a nasty bump on my road bike. Without any tubes, I busted out this little gem and was able to successfully patch my tube. I rode the remaining 10 miles with no incident. For those who say these don't work, then they are doing it wrong (scuff area and wait for the cement to dry before applying patch). The instructions included are basic on how to use it and for that, id recommended watching a you tube video on how to properly patch a tube. This is cheap, and saves you from walking the miles home/bike store so just get one!
and this product was very useful and I no longer have flat tires
July 8, 2015
I have a wagon that had four flat tires, and this product was very useful and I no longer have flat tires. Nice product and useful.
made in germany, not china!
October 1, 2012
Back in the 70's and 80's, I used to use American made Monkey Grip patches. They worked really well. Now, like everything else, they are crappy and made in China! I bought this product after having to put up with inferior chinese-made patches. Just looking at the package, you know these patches are of superior quality. Indeed, they are amazing. They work flawless. I highly recommend them.

Plugging along.
October 5, 2017
Works like a charm.Cosmic balance works like this in my life. For over two years I did not have to patch a tire or plug one...I buy this kit and have to use it twice within two weeks, that is why I know it works. My thoughts are that if it were not in my possession it would not have been needed. The universe must have laughed and said ...if he owns one he might as well learn to use it.So it goes
Good enough kit for a relatively cheap price. The handles are well constructed of steel.
August 26, 2017
I have chance to use this kit three times since the delivery.I have previously used similar kit from Advance Auto which was comparable in price but was made of plastic handle. This kit has just about everything required for a proper repair, expect the rubber cement. I ordered a bottle of tirerubber cement from amazon: Slime 1050 Rubber Cement - 8 oz.The kit, as matter of fact, any of kits available here and various auto parts stores are similar. The hole cleaningtool has spiral, rather than file like diamond shaped grooves. I can't say for sure, but it appears to me the file shapescleaning tool may leave better round surface for repair. The spiral in this kit does not have enough edge to take of muchmaterial. The tools are made of steel and appears to be very sturdy unlike the plastic handles on my other kits. But, I all the repairs I have made since its use held just fine. I have routinely drove the repaired tire on highwayat 80 mph without any problem. The only other thing that you may need beside the rubber cement is something to cut off the string plug. I used thecutter and a sharp blade to cut the string flush to the surface. This is relatively good kit for the price, it is cheaper thancomparable kits from local auto parts store. Make sure that tire has decent amount of pressure before attempting repair. With no air pressure inside, it is tough to keep the use the tool to clear and plug the hold.I had series of flats caused by construction crew at home (5). Just glad that I had this kit on hand when flats occurred. The cost to repair flat goes any where up to 35-40$. The kit pays for itself with the first repair.

Happy enough
June 28, 2017
Good product and priced well. Although after buying it and seeing the size of the case I probably wouldn't bother with a case in the future. Just bigger than is really needed (if space in your truck is a concern). I bought this for longer road trips and I seem to get my share of nails in my tires.
Good sturdy build.
May 8, 2017
Have not used it yet.... Hope I don't have to use it.... Lol. It is one of those things you need to have with you when you travel of road. It seems well made and sturdy. Great case keeps everything organized. I only have it 4 starts because I don't know how well it works or how well the plugs hold. If I ever use it, I'll come back and update my review.
Good kit

Through kit but could probably be packed a bit smaller which is why I knocked off a star. It's a tire repair kit yet takes up a good bit of space in the car.

Good Quality Tube Repair Kit
August 23, 2016
Though I haven't had a need to use of as of yet, this is a complete tube patch kit you can use on the road. This particular kit was recommended to me and it seems to have everything you need to fix your flat. To make repairs even quicker, I'd recommend and CO2 inflator and you WILL need a tire lever kit to get at the tube. This kit is for the TUBE and NOT for the tire.
They look tough and the glue seems good.
July 26, 2016
I bought them for emergencies and hope I never have to use them -- so far I have only looked at them and felt them and that pleases me. They look tough and the glue seems good.

Looks like a decent little kit. Will have to wait to see how the patches hold on my son's bike tire.

Very nice kit of high quality. My only complaint is with the lubricant. Wish they had included rubber cement instead. I had to purchase the cement separately just to be sure of a good seal. Other wise it is a good price for a quality item.

Poor instructions
June 22, 2016
The instructions that came in my kit were terrible. no mention of whether or not to let glue dry before applying patch. I had to use it today after getting two flats and using my spare tube for the first one. for the second flat i used the kit. it took two tries to get a patch to stick. it got me home, which is all i expect from it. not a permanent fix. i gave it three stars because of the lack of instructions.
It's OK. Removing cellophane cover is an ordeal!
December 11, 2015
Got this patch set to fix a tiny hole on my bike inner tube. 2 star deducted because there were not sufficient instructions enclosed. I had to google and watch a you-tube to know how to use it. Nowhere in instructions it says I have to wait for glue to dry first before putting on the patch. Also doesn't state that I have to remove the cellophane cover. Speaking of that, it is very difficult to remove the cellophane. It is stuck to the patch very strongly and keeps pulling up the patch too. This resulted in first patch being half stuck. I think I'll go back to quick self adhesive patches.
Other than lack of clear instructions, good product.
August 7, 2014
I am only giving this three stars, not because it didn't do the job, but the lack of clear instructions. I have never used a patch kit before and would have liked more than an ambiguous picture. I bought the patch for my son's soccer ball and it is still holding up. I would guess the patch is going to outlast the ball.
OK patch kit
August 2, 2014
This has been around for years. It's the patch kit everybody gets. It's also sufficient for most uses. However, it has a limited number of patches. I wanted more. Better to pick it up at the neighborhood bike shop there on the counter than wait more than seven days from Amazon.

Honest Review
January 30, 2016
Package and everything looks nice. And the tools seem sturdy, but the problem is when using the widening tool; the steel belts in your tire seem to smooth out the swirls/grooves extremely fast compared to the cheaper plastic handled one I purchased from Wallie World. I don't know, maybe it's the new swirl design that makes it so weak. Because I have an old set where the widening tool was graded kinda like a file and that held up for years till the plastic handle gave out. Other than that, the rubber plugs seem a bit "old" (not as tacky, but still seem to work). The lube is fine, but I didn't see a big difference (it's a plug & you still gotta fight with it a little)

I was hoping this tool kit would be better built than the cheaper ones but the plug insertion tool bent on the first use.The handles are stronger but the insertion tool is not very strong
Nice look and feel doesn't negate low functionality.
September 24, 2015
I received this as a gift from my Amazon Wish List, I primarily wanted these because I thought the metal tools would be stronger and easier to use than the cheap plastic ones available locally. They do feel better in my hands than the thin plastic one but that's as far as the improvements go. The spiral probe is dull and mine didn't include glue, as several other reviewers say. I also had to widen the jaws of the insertion tool with a flat screwdriver because it kept yanking the plugs right out. After less than a year and about 10-12 uses, it's time to go back to using the cheap plastic set and until I find an actual high quality set.One last complaint- the case is really kinda big for so few tools, there are much better ways to arrange it for people who need to carry it in a vehicle. For reference the case it came in is about 12x8x2.5, I store all the components in a driver bit case that is closer to 5x7x2.

Requires Further Instructions
October 17, 2017
I'm a bit sour with this product for the lack of directions concerning the repair process. Please note that there are four key steps that you must take in order to perform the patch properly that are not including in the directions provided: apply a thin film of the adhesive, allow the glue to dry for around five minutes before applying the patch, allow the patch to sit for a couple minutes after pressing it to the adhesive, and, lastly, you must carefully, key word, remove the plastic cover after you let the patch sit. In fact, regarding the first point, the directions make it seem that you must apply an amount of glue that actually makes it possible for you to spread it around to any degree.A product ought not to require further research than the provided instructions. I've gone through three patches attempting to get one to mount successfully to the tube. It wasn't until I watched a Youtube video that I was able to do this process appropriately on the fourth try.
Reasonable Tube Patches.
June 18, 2017
These patches are not so whoopy, or possibly I am not so skilled in putting them on. Just enough for an emergency to get you home or to a new tube.
"Temporary Fix", thus they call it a "patch"
January 11, 2017
Temporary "Fix". Well I guess it is a "patch kit". Kind of worthless though. Better just carry a spare inner tube.
