For the cost this is a great projector. We ordered this to use for out door movies for family night. We just project it on to our garage door. A sheet or tarp would provide a better picture though. Unfortunately we live near a somewhat busy road (busy for rural America) and a small Dollar General. The sound isn't quite loud enough to compete with background noise. Using it inside the sound would be great in my opinion.

Great little projector - bought for outdoor holiday display. Works with USB drive, HDMI cord (videos sent from computer) and a SD card.

so this projector actually works with my iphone! and yes, the pixels aren't extremely small, but i didn't expect anything better because it's sold at such a good price. i've been telling all my friends to get one because it works really well

Worked really well for what I bought it for, to trace a Grinch for my Christmas lights display. I hooked it up to my Mircosoft Surface Pro 3 laptop and used the USB connector.
Best thing Ever

It's look really good for football night!!! 18 feet a way with 145 inch on the wall!!! Best projector Ever!!!
You get way MORE than what you pay for...Perfect little projector...

If you want a "theater quality" experience you have two choices, go to the theater or make enough money to build your own... Now for the rest of us who just want to enjoy a movie at home and don't necessarily want to watch it on a tv without spending a lot of money, this little projector is perfect! I bought it for a "drive-in" night at the house for my little girls, because unfortunately they will probably never get to experience a real one, and they loved it! We watched the Lion King and the colors were bright, the picture was crisp, and the projection was huge! I connected our Bose sound bar to the projector via the headphone jack and plugged in my external hard drive (the projector can open the files and play them itself) and it was like watching Mufasa and Simba again as a kid. I projected the image onto a thick white tarp I bought off Amazon for like an extra 12 bucks and it worked perfectly.

Perfect.

Used these to hook up my projector to the Blu Ray player and they work perfectly. A bit thicker than I expected, but I think that’s a good thing. Very pleased with this purchase. Unbelievable value for money.
Best cable for my use!
August 4, 2017
Big fan. All of the HDMI cables I order are big and bulky. The weight alone is enough to damage the HDMI inputs on most monitors. These are the perfect size to use. I run karaoke and I always need to hook a cable into the expensive TVs many bars and clubs install. I don't need the wire weight damaging the inputs. These cables work great!
Great cable with a small wire.
July 19, 2017
This cable works well for connecting two devices that are far from one another. I use it to connect a PC to a TV nearly twenty feet away. The cord is easily maneuverable and can be hidden along a wall or inside a hanging ceiling if necessary.
Reliable cable that has stood the test of time.
March 21, 2017
Good quality, has worked well over time, reliable. This is massively long so make sure you need 25 feet before purchasing. My philosophy is I'd rather have a cable that's too long than one that is too short.
works good, good price. repete buyer
December 12, 2016
This is my go-to cable whenever needed. I had bad luck with a couple of walmart cables before trying this one. Since then I have ordered quite a few. Never have had any issues. Not much to say about cables they work good or they don't work good. I like the price on this one and just wanted to drop my recommendation these are a good deal.
25ft - Outputs flawlessly to TV
August 24, 2014
I bought the 25ft version and the output from laptop to TV is flawless. Before the cable, I was streaming via a media server (PS3 Media Server to be exact) but this got to be a chore since video playback on media server can be slow, sometimes choppy, sometimes doesn't support all video file types, and just navigating around the interface can be slow. Then why not just output what you see on your laptop directly to the TV, as long as you don't mind the cable? Now I watch videos that I would watch on my laptop but on bigger screen. This includes movie files, youtube, and many other online video streaming. It's really simple.I got the 25ft version b/c I felt that gave enough play and distance from where the laptop usually sits and the TV. I had wondered whether there would be too much signal drop and get no picture but that's not the case. I get video and audio on my TV just fine. Side note: I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro so I had to get micro-HDMI to HDMI adapter as well (micro-HDMI really stinks btw).$7 for a 25ft cable and Amazon Prime... hard to go wrong.[Update Nov 2016] For everyone complaining about how short NES Classic controller cables are, just get this and problem solved. :-)

What I would recommend for this particular projector is a larger power adapter since the 1 supplied with the projector is overheating.2.5 amp versus 5 amp.I purchased additionally below described adapter and it has reasonable heat output compare to the 1 with 2.5amp rating only.TNTE 12 Volt Power Supply - 5 Amp Standard (12V 5A DC) Adapter-Connector Size: 5.5mm (Outside barrel) x 2.5mm (Inside Barrel). This is actually an honest review. I originally posted a bad review for this projector but in reality the error was a user error not the device. I eventually figured it out and after connecting my Blu Ray disc player to the device using HDMI output the picture quality was amazing! It is not really designed for use with cell phone or kindle fire which is what I kept trying to connect it to. The instructions were not very detailed for someone like myself who may need additional information but overall I'm very impressed with this device and the picture quality.
Good for what it is, but not for Home Theater use
November 21, 2014
This is a good little projector with some limitations. It's not going to be your eye-popping, amazing HD projector but if you go into the purchase knowing that, you should be ok. I bought this for a Halloween display (to project scary tombstones) and not to watch movies. It's great for what it does and I even ran the videos off of an SD card, so no external source was needed (no DVD player or laptop necessary). Nice little self-contained setup. The amount of light is good in a dark room or in my case a darkened yard at night. Quality is only SD but looks good at 10+ feet. Speaker is ok but I added some external powered speakers so it could be heard in my yard.I'm considering buying another one to use for next year.
Not too bad...
February 6, 2014
I wasn't sure what to expect with this projector considering the price and size but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. The unit itself is very small, but nice looking. Set up was fairly easy and the picture on it is actually decent! It comes with built in speakers which sound awesome and the picture size can go pretty big like 50+ inches with it being fairly close to the wall (obviously can go bigger the further away). For the price you can't go wrong with this projector...you can't expect what you see at the movies but it also isn't bad at all. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a basic affordable projector for fun at the house.

very long cable which is doing the job just fine. got it out of the package and it felt like a thin wire that was very stiff. Have been using it for a while now and it has still not loosened up and become slightly flexible. It was an awesome price and would totally buy again.
00 to correct problem now works fine.
June 22, 2017
Works but only 1 way you have to pay attention to the input and output markings on the cable ends, and inline amp not strong enough had to get another amplifier 20.00 to correct problem now works fine .
Been working for me this far
March 17, 2017
I purchased my 1st one almost 2 years ago and its still working for me.However I did order two for my brother and he said that his two broke couple months afterAlso, I purchased another one because I left my old one at home, I can say that it feels thinner than the older one. (Older feels thicker)the second one i ordered is good. but it does come out of the port kind of easily whenever I move my computer
No problems here, it works.
June 2, 2015
I bought this recently (May 2015), it works. I tested it with 2 devices to my TV, a 2014 MacBook Pro and the HDMI output of the GTX 660 video card in a PC. Both worked as expected, delivering both video and audio to the HD TV. A few notes though...Depending on the source (commercial DVD, video one creates at home and so on) on both Mac and PC you may need to "point" the audio to the TV. On Mac that's in Sound in System Preferences, on Windows, Sound, in Control Panel. Other than that, no issues with this cable for me.A few comments refer to the somewhat flimsy construction of the cable. No, it's not a an overpriced Monster Cable, but it doesn't appear to be all that fragile. Just be absolutely sure to insert/remove the cable by the connector, not the cable itself. The latter approach will eventually break the most well constructed cable, over time.
Thoght it may be cheesy but works great!
July 15, 2014
I ordered 3 to be safe as the ones i paid over $40 for here a few years ago both crapped out. Cables may be cables but the hdmi jack fell off of my first & my back up failed after a few years of using it. These all seem good until I busted my flat screen in the process of rewiring it & upgraded to 4k & did have an issue with pic/ sound delay but that was resolved adjusting the tv settings. I'd personally give it 5 stars but have seen several pictures of damaged cables, but mine all showed up in great condition! Besides playing tv, ps3, blue-ray, etc through it it is a fantastic value for the length for sure!
Link Depot HDMI to HDMI 25' Cable
May 24, 2014
This cable was packaged in a generic package, nothing fancy but enough packaging that I was confident the product was protected sufficiently. The cable itself was strong, of a good thickness, and the connectors appeared clean, the pins straight, everything looked good to go.The cable works for what I purchased it for - being an occasional link between my computer and my TV, mostly to watch movies. However I do find when I connect it to the laptop HDMI connector, the connection is a little loose - there's some side-to-side give, just a teeny bit, but enough that I do have to wiggle it around a bit and/or reseat it occasionally before the video and sound both are piped properly to the TV - however once it goes, it stays and from that point it works like a champ. That's the reason I don't give this cable 5 stars. All in all, I would recommend this product, and if the connection you need is one that will be set up and left, this cable should work perfectly. The signal was great, the product in perfect, new, condition, and it works perfectly once the connection is solid. It is the least expensive cable I could find, so teeny bit of give is, overall, a price I'm quite willing to pay to avoid the higher cost of others on the market.Would buy again.

Home theater use only
May 23, 2017
Bought this and was amazed at how little the projector was. Along with the size, there is lackage of power at larger distances. At about <20ft, the video quality is not as clear. Other than that, it's a quiet projector that allows for home theater use.
Ok for the price but not for presentations
April 26, 2017
Projector performs, but room must be very dark to see screen. Limited ability to increase size of projection. Do not buy if you will be using it for presentations. Projection is hard to see in less than a dark room. If it worked better in a lite room I would have given 5 stars.
Decent projector.
January 27, 2017
its decent for the price you pay nothing outstanding but it sure does the job if you need a projector. I use it for outside barbq's have it connected to an outdoor speaker and it works well. but the image are not as clear as you'll like but like i said for the price is okay.
Works fine for basic projections
November 14, 2015
I purchased this projector as an art project tool to project and enlarge basic drawings onto a blank canvas that I intend to paint. For this purpose, it seems to work fine. One drawback is that there is some distortion on the outer edges of the image, which if you are just watching a video or looking at slides, it wouldn't be that noticeable. I had to purchase an additional Mini-DP to HDMI cable to connect this to my MacBook Pro laptop because when I used the projector's on-board SD card slot, the slideshow software wouldn't allow full screen viewing of the disc image. I haven't yet tried to view any videos on this projector and will update this review once I get a chance to do so. For the price, it gets the job done.
its nice
April 10, 2015
It is not the best but it was worth it. I use it as my main it is a good first projector
Portable and will get the job done but picture quality is meh
August 11, 2014
For its size and price, it works as expected. The picture is not super clear and a bit blurry but it is still useable and you can see the shapes. Sound quality is fine but could use a boost with speakers. It is small, portable, and easy to hook up and use. I bring it with me to camping trips and hook right up to my laptop as well in my classrooms that doesn't have a projector.

1 of 2 not functioning correctly.
May 8, 2017
We ordered 2 cables. 1 of 2 is having issues with flickering sources on our projector. Does not happen with other HDMI cables.
Worked great until it didn't
March 11, 2017
I ordered this and I cannot remember if it came on time or not, but I'm almost certain it did. The reason I'm giving this product three stars is because only about a month, if that long, after receiving it (I started using it right away), the one end of the wire would no longer work. I tried switching the broken end from my laptop to my TV and it made no difference - I was trying to see if the issue was one of my devices. I'm not sure what the issue with the cord is but is is officially broken: I will see if there is something I can do to render it useful.
Spotty Connection
June 6, 2016
When I received the product, I hurried to plug it into my Apple TV and 55" TV. The build of the product was alright. The coat seemed thin but the actual male area seemed to stand up and stay in place. After connection, the signal was transmitted through the cord and the Apple TV showed up. The color was a little different but not too drastic. Only thing I'll have to say is that you cannot extend this further without sacrificing very poor quality image. I tried it and the screen was displaying scratch. The length was 25' which is about the most you'll ever need.
Very small cord for its purpose and length
June 25, 2015
For a 25 foot HDMI line, the cord is so small. It is every bit as small as the standard audio connecting cord for connecting devices. My 4 footHDMI cords for connecting Blu-Ray and Dish Network to my HDTV are much larger in size. I always figured that we need the larger cord to transfer the high definition signals for a great picture. I tried this cord, and the picture looks a little hazy. It was sold at a great price, but a lot of times, you only get what you pay for.
Love the Price, Hate the Signal Loss
February 24, 2015
This product could go anywhere between one star and four stars. It is four stars for being a functional TWENTY-FIVE FOOT HDMI CABLE FOR $5.99!!! It is one star for signal loss, poor shielding, and inability to handle HD video without degradation. For the value (and the fact it actually works), we'll dump it at three stars. When used with my Raspberry Pi running Raspbian, the cable works great, as the video isn't exactly intense when typing along in the terminal. The GUI is smooth and looks decent as well. When connected to HTPC, this cable really, really, really shows why it cost only $5.99. Even running 720p at 60hz, the picture was extremely degraded, to the point of lines coming across the screen. In conclusion, I'm not much of a fan, and recently ordered a replacement. If you have a low-end use for this cable, go for it. If you are using it in a home theater situation, I would suggest shelling out a for more bucks for a higher quality cable.
Great value and works as needed... until 4K came around
September 24, 2012
Needed some longer HDMI cables to run through a plastic conduit to hide in the wall. Was a little worried about the price vs. quality but these work just as well as more expensive cables I've used. Come with plastic protectors on the ends and survived a run through the conduit (2 corner bends) and work just great.Update 2017: These have served me well over the years until it was time to update my hardware. I had an older Samsung TV (to be replaced soon) and bought a new PS4 Pro. Initial connection worked - but then started getting staticky screens and pops through audio. Tried another one of these cables (have 3 separate ones ran through the wall) and the 2nd one was worse. I plugged the PS4Pro directly into the TV using the cable that came with it and the issue went away - which led me to believe it was the cable. It turns out that HDMI cables have also been updated over the years and these cables are no longer what is required to support the newer video connections.

I bought this piece of crap 3 years ago when it was $65...might be worth $40 but it's extremely basic, horrible resolution, and has a hard time connecting to devices. Good for a kids bedroom or something I suppose...but would not buy ever again. I use it like twice a year.
Wouldnt recommend
June 28, 2016
I bought this device for an overseas trip to try to provide some entertainme t for people that worked for me. It was functional and we could, however, its resolution left something to be desired. Like other reviewers have posted i saw the high resolution and that that that was the output. Another issue i had was agaimy own ignorance in that i didnt understand lumens. We nearly had to have the room 100% light free or else it was hard to see the subpar quality image. At this point i inted to dismantle it and use it for parts.
I don't understand all the positive reviews for this. ...
June 12, 2016
I don't understand all the positive reviews for this. I intended to use this to project a second screen onto a wall in my office for training purposes, but the image is so pixelated that text is entirely illegible unless it is very large. Even a normal powerpoint presentation is difficult to read. The keystone is just a manual angled lens and it takes part of the image out of focus at the extremes, so you can either read the center or the edges but not both. This thing is a piece of junk and not worth even the small amount of money they are asking for it.
Instant dead pixel made me hate this projector.
April 26, 2016
You are getting what you pay for really. The lens doesn't focus to be very crisp at all, and a pixel died in the center of my screen after the second use. It is unbelievably annoying now, as I can't focus on anything else other than the large black dot.
Not as it seems.... Gotta know the terms!
March 31, 2014
Alright, so I took my time and got to learn this baby, let me tell you about this thing.First things first, this is an example of "almost" false advertising, you see it say "maximum resolution: 1920x1080", and that is true, the maximum resolution it can TAKE IN, NOT PROJECT is 1920x1080.Now me as a college student ignorant about lighting and projection saw 1920x1080 and said, "this a steal!" and bought it. After buying and messing around with it, I really discovered what was going on.For one, maximum resolution and native resolution are 2 different things. max is what it can take in, native is what it can put out. So yeah, you guessed it, this thing takes high quality video game, movie, and computer images and downgrades them to a measly 320x240 , that's not even better than the gamecubes quality, never mind any console from the 2000's up.So if you're looking for a steal, you sir, ma'am, person, have come to the wrong place. Now don't get me wrong, this thing does what it says it will do, and it does it well! It really is quite a quiet machine (if you use the audio cables, if you turn up the volume, it has an annoying buzzing sound while it plays audio), and the projection is fairly bright. In a fairly dim room, you can see the screen just fine. Along with that, this truly is a gaming projector, it has minimal lag, if you stare long and hard enough, you'll see the tiniest bit, and in a fast-paced game like Mario or Need for Speed, it isn't noticeable unless you're a hardcore gamer (I would define myself as such) and even then, it won't slow you down much. And it is as they say, this thing can get a really wide projection, i haven't found a wall big enough but it can easily span a clear projection with a 5 foot diagonal for my dorm room. And you know, if you're a retro gamer, anything gamecube quality or worse will play GREAT on this machine, believe it! But don't expect anything better out of this, it is a 320x240 projector.Me, I am a retro gamer (if you can call the gamecube retro) so I am not going to go storming back demanding my money. That said, I don't want you to do what I did and mock all my friends for buying $400 TV's, saying I'm going to get a projector that can do just as good a picture as yours can and then find out what it really does. Especially since I have to figure how I'm going to throw that story under the rug.... :/Still, I gave 2 out of 5 stars because I wanted people to read the reviews and see what was wrong with this console, or at least not be deceived by it's sneaky placement of facts. They could've simply said "displays crisp 320x240 pixel image, good for retro gamers!!" and the people it attracted would be happy with their purchase. But now they have guys like me typing this review instead going to class which starts in like 15 minutes, and I still haven't done the homework for it yet.... So with that I end it here. But one last thing, if your looking for a good projector, less than 150, then there must be a problem or something about it you haven't seen yet.And remember, NATIVE RESOLUTION IS WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR, NOT MAXIMUM RESOLUTION.Now have a wonderful day and please pray I'm not late for class and that my teacher is not checking homework today.

Ran from a PC to a TV. Works sorta ...
July 29, 2016
Ran from a PC to a TV. Works sorta... but it cuts in and out to black/white fuzz ever 10 minutes or so. I tried it on every resolution, frequency I could and it was the same. After reading reviews I concluded it was the quality of the wire (thickness, shielding, etc). I returned this and bought one with higher reviews. The new cable was 3x the diameter and I haven't had any of the same troubles. My guess is that the this cheap cable was just too thing for the distance (25ft), it probably would've worked at a shorter distance but for longer runs it paid off to get a more expensive one.
Successful use depends on your device?
July 1, 2014
I used this to connect my computer to my digital monitor, got no picture, the monitor apparently senses no signal. Connected a 6-foot cable between computer and monitor, things worked properly. Tried this swap several times, same results. Then used this cable to connect my computer to an electronic HDMI switch, used the short cable to connect the switch to the monitor, and the setup works. I'm no expert, but it seems the switch can detect a signal that the monitor can't, and the switch boosts it enough for the monitor to see it. Which leads me to think that the VERY thin diameter of this cable means the wires inside aren't very robust, and a lot of signal gets lost over 25 feet. Your satisfaction may depend on the nature of the device(s) you connnect with it.
Blue and red pixels when connected through an HDMI receiver
December 28, 2013
An HDMI cable is an HDMI cable right? Wrong! Although this cable worked fine when connected directly to my TV and the laptop, whenever there was an HDMI receiver in the middle of the two there were a bunch of blue and red pixels on the screen. Some might say this might be the problem with the receiver itself, but no other cable displayed such behavior on the receiver, only this one did. I did isolate the problem to be in the cable and not rest of the equipment. I have used quite a few generic cables before and never experienced such problems. This cable may work for you if you are going directly into the TV, but not if you have an HDMI switch or a receiver in the middle.
Broke after 2 years
October 17, 2013
I rated this 2 stars because it did function well for two years, then does not work. This was run along the wall in our living room and we frequently used it to connect our laptop to our television. We did not coil and uncoil the cable. I feel like we took pretty good care of it. Perhaps we broke it? Unsure. One day it just stopped working. The warranty is only for one year, so I'll need to buy another.
Can't handle 1080p at 60hz.
August 20, 2013
The cable I received worked great. I tried it on my Playstation 3 without a hitch. I tried it with my Western Digital Live Media Hub and the cable performed more than adequately. The trouble comes when I connect it to my computer. The cable literally goes hay wire when the settings on my computer is at 1080p with a 60hz refresh rate. I thought the problem was my computer but I have many other wires laying around and, to my disappointment, it seems the problem only occur when I am using this certain cable. The cable works at 1080i at 30hz perfectly fine but once I change it back to the default, it starts to fail on me.This is all from my testing and observation. Hopefully, it is just a defective cable but I would not recommend anyone to get this cable and if they do it is at their own risk.I gave it 1 extra star because it only seems to not be able to handle my PC...Finally, I would like to say that in terms of customer service the company I ordered this item from replied to my email very quickly and offered me different solutions to try and solve the situation. I am very grateful to Home Fashion Products.
Couldn't push full bandwidth
July 25, 2011
I am running this cable from my home theater system to my projector on the other end of the room. This cable works flawlessly at 1080p 24hz, but when upped to 50hz or 60hz, it really struggles to keep full bandwidth. It certainly supports the frequency, but about two or three times per minute I would lose signal for a second then it would come back. Secondly there was noise in the line (only while at > 24hz) causing horizontal lines to intermittently show up for a brief second.I'm now going to have to order some better cables as 24hz isn't sufficient for my home theater system, fast movement results in a blur and a frame is dropped about every two seconds.

I used this projector to show photos taken from my digital camera. I used an SD card from the camera and it works well for that function. The projector does not come with enough instruction on how to do certain things with this SD card so I have to try many things to come up with what I need. The projector does not have strong enough light power to show images clearly. The focus is also not very good either. I wished I can send it back but I learned that this kind of mini projector is not worth the money.

Returning it as the audio is not working.
Don't Buy This!
October 18, 2015
This projector BLOWS!! SD card reader & USB port will register and show that's it's there, HOWEVER this projector will NOT allow you to pull any images off the SD card OR the USB port. Nor can I get my mac to register that it's even plugged in using the usb firewire. I've now purchased every connector VGA and HDMI adaptors to plug into my MAC and have now spent more on those cords than this s***ty projector. Do NOT get this projector, WASTE OF MONEY!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
August 13, 2015
This thing is a piece of junk!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! They try to portray it as an HD product- although it may READ data that may be considered HD, the best it will display is 320x240 pixels. I bought this as a cheap projector to simply be able to project an image an trace it for some artwork. 320x240 is, what I sadly found out, a very low resolution. Unless you're wanting to project Atari-worthy images, you just need to shell out some more cash for a decent product.
Not worth it at all...... One amazon buyer to another..
July 4, 2015
I usually dont write reviews but I had to for this one. I was use like you right now, reading reviews just to make sure this product was going to be worth my time and purchase. But I'm going to save you a ton of waiting time and headache right now. Don't buy this or any other projector that looks like this on this site cause its all the same bull. Dont be con-ed by the low and cheap price and the awesome specs... Its a piece of $h!t quality projector. Mine didn't even power on when I got it and I didn't even expect it to when I first took it out of the package. LOW quality materials used to make it all around. Save your money and go use it to buy yourself a nice dinner out instead of buying yourself stress and a headache.

Poor Refund Policy
October 12, 2017
Terrible product, very low quality. Refund policy is a joke 88 cent refund ( $0.88) on a $13.98 purchase. Find another company to buy HDMI cables from.
HDMI-CEC is not supported with these cables probably not even 1.2a cable.....
December 14, 2015
This cable does not support HDMI-CEC so it may not even be a 1.2a cable for that matter. I bought these to run behind the wall. Only to find out once I ran them through that the old HDMI cables supported this and I could control my surround via my TV remote because they supported HDMI-CEC but these new cables do not.So all three I bought are going back, and I guess I have to buy more. The version of the cable should be listed in the description and it was not.
The cable is also extreme thin and of poor construction. It's not the sturdy
August 25, 2014
I buy stuff on Amazon all the time but almost never leave reviews. However, I feel compelled to warn other potential buyers about this product. This cable simply doesn't work. It would randomly flip off, turning the screen totally black for a few seconds. I notice this happens more frequently when I use the cable to deliver both audio and video. In that case the video feed flickers on and off every few seconds. When using only video, this may happen every few minutes. In the time it took me to type this review, the video feed dropped off twice! The cable is also extreme thin and of poor construction. It's not the sturdy, typical HDMI cable you see in stores. This would have been all fine if the cable actually gets the job done.
Two Purchases - Two Returns. Never Again.
February 26, 2014
I first bought this cable February 6, 2014. It was originally intended to hook up my television to my PC and use it as a second monitor - something I've done for years, however my PC was moved a couple feet over, rendering my 20ft cable useless and necessitating the purchase of something longer.Upon receipt I plugged it in, made the usual adjustments to my TV and computer, and received no video or audio. I tried hooking it up to a monitor, and while the Windows startup would appear with garbled green distortion, the video would turn black as soon as the startup sequence had completed. Thinking it was a PC issue, I tried switching the cable with the HDMI hookup between my cable box and XBox One, but still received no video. I even tried it on a second television, to no avail. I returned the cable as defective, and purchased another, thinking it was a fluke. The second cable arrived with a cut halfway through, completely severing the sheathing and several wires inside. Needless to say I won't be trying this one on any machine, and have sent it back for a refund. This time I'll be ordering an AmazonBasics 25 ft HDMI cable, as the identically-branded HDMI to DVI converter I bought recently works splendidly.
One Connector Has Already Gone Bad
February 6, 2014
Bought this cable as a replacement for a Mediabridge cable of the same length that I gave to a friend. We both use our laptops as a source to watch videos or listen to music on our big screens. The Mediabridge cable has been great now for over a year. Thought I could just give him my Mediabridge cable and grab whatever looked good having never had a bad experience with HDMI, until now. With the cable plugged in the bad connector will lose signal sync with the television if the bad connector is on the laptop where I tend to have movement from navigating the interface. If I swap the cable the other direction the problem largely goes away since that plug doesn't tend to move. Now before you suggest the laptop may have a bad jack, the problem occurs on my tablet (mini HDMI adapter used) and my iPhone. So it's definitely the cable. It could be that I just got a dud, but today finally ordered my Mediabridge replacement and pray the quality is the same as the one I ordered last year.
Didn't Work
June 1, 2013
I didn't use this for quite some time as a number of life things happened and thus was well passed my 30 day return period, but I hooked it up to my laptop to run to my big screen TV across the room (which is exactly what I wanted it for) and...nothing. Absolutely nothing. I moved my laptop over by the tv, used the same much shorter cable that I had used before and plugged it into the exact same HDMI input, and boom, all is there, and all is fine. Plugged this 25 foot cable back in and..nothing again. The TV screen blinks as if it's trying to tell me something, but I don't know what a blinking, blank, screen means. All I know is I used my old cable, worked great (but I wanted a longer one so as to not have to constantly move my laptop back and forth from my desk) but never got this to work.If anyone reads this and know another option for me to try, please suggest something. I will not purchase this one again under any circumstance, since I already did purchase it and it got nothing. The big screen TV is at least 12 to 15 feet away from my desk, and that doesn't count moving up and down or around and behind the laptop and TV. Any suggestions appreciated.
