This are truly blackout curtains! I recently purchased so called blackout curtains from Dollar General for another bedroom and the dollar store version does not compare to these! The room with these curtains is total darkness when these are pulled closed. Definitely a great edition to any room where darkness is needed.

These were perfect!! Not only did one set of panels cover my windows (30x60) bubut they work like a charm without gloom in the room. My one year old is actually sleeping in because it keeps the room cool and dark! I've never been more thankful for an item before!

The curtains are great, and they block light and are true to size. My son says they work great. He just went off to college and he lives in a dorm where there are not curtains. They are not allowed to drill or put nails in the walls, so we were trying to figure out how to put curtains up in his room. Also the window is too large with no space for a tension rod to hang a curtain. The sun was making the room too hot and the light woke him too early, as well as a street light keeping the room lit at night. Thank goodness for grommet curtains and command 3M hooks. He put the hooks above his window and hung the curtains by the grommets. Works great! I hope this review helps other college students with an idea for hanging curtains in their dorm.

When I got these out of the package, the curtains were softer than I expected. I was expecting something rough and really heavy. These curtains were about a medium weight compared to other curtains I've had. They really do their job well! They keep out all light. I can now sleep in till 10 or 11 without worrying about sunlight waking me up. If the curtains are closed even in the middle of the day, it seems as it could be nighttime. I fall asleep faster due to these curtains. I've also noticed my room stays cooler than it used to which is a huge plus when paying for the electricity bill. Overall, great purchase! I would recommend to anyone.

Finally got around to hanging these up and I'm really pleased. We have wooden blinds at each window in our apartment, but there is still so much light that gets through even when the slats are shut. My boyfriend works night shift and needs to sleep during the day, so I searched through Amazon for blackout curtains and chose these based on the good reviews and reasonable price.

The quality is great. I bought two sets of the navy blue- one for each window for our bedroom. The metal grommets are a bronze color which match nicely with the blue. The material feels kind of silky, but it's not shiny or cheap looking.

The curtains are definitely blackout curtains. The picture I took are our windows with the curtains open, and then the curtains closed in the middle of the day. No light gets through except a little at the top and a little at the bottom, but this was expected. They are just long enough to cover our windows which is why I bought the size I did. I believe the measurements are accurate as to what is advertised. If you're looking for a good blackout curtain, I would highly recommend these.

I ordered two sets for the living room windows. I wasn't sure what had arrived when I got the Amazon box because it was quite heavy for two curtain sets. They are decently thick and heavy and the material feels great. I am switching my old cheap curtain rods out soon because they may not hold the weight of these for very long. It's fine right now. One is bent, it's been that way for ages.. The cats can innocently walk by and our old curtains would fall. The quality of the curtains is superb and they are beautiful. We switched from two other popular brands of department store blackout/ light filtering which does not block out much light at all and on top our old ones are super thin and look super super cheap and ugly. These are just beautiful and the chocolate we ordered blocks out all light from the windows.As you can see in the picture our front door has a window and we had the lights on in the living room but you can't see light coming through the actual window. We don't even have blinds up. I didn't think blackouts could be this beautiful and elegant. They look so rich and pricey. I was pleasantly surprised! I'll be replacing all of our windows with these soon. I also didn't need to iron these as some reviewers stated that they may need to be put in the dryer or ironed. The few wrinkles disappeared when hung. The tie backs are an added bonus. The length is perfect for our windows but these are pretty wide which is great, I could have easily used just one for each window in the living room with room to spare. Someone stated these are a magnet for fur but that's not the case for us. We have two cats and a lot of dust in the house from my hubbys collectibles and junk, no matter how much we dust. I haven't noticed these catching any dust or fur yet.I just ordered these in gray for the bedroom which is a large window so we can replace the cheap ones which are 42" wide per panel (barely covers) with these that are 52-53" per panel and will provide better coverage and better blackout while looking more expensive and elegant so it's a win win. I can't wait to receive them in a few days. I also ordered blackout blinds (self adhesive) on Amazon too as to make sure the room is pitch black. Lol.. We have no blinds in the house minus one room and I want the bedroom black. I tend to wake up at 6-7 like clock work and I'm hoping this helps some and hoping they keep the cool out this winter.Update: I received the gray curtains and they block out about 90-95% of the light as opposed to the chocolate that blocks out 99% but in all fairness we have a huge bay window in the bedroom and these are still the best we have tried in there and both panels cover the entire window perfectly, with some room. I recycled our old cheap thin curtains into valances. I have the gray utopia sheets and moroccan comforter set by Utopia and they aren't an exact match. The curtains have the slightest tint of brown when placed right next to the sheets but don't appear that way from the window so they actually go well together, very close but not a perfect match. No one will know.. The window looks much better and this blocks out a LOT more light then our old ones. Huge difference.

So I'm not going to pretend that all blackout curtains aren't ugly, because they are. All of them. I know because I looked at all of them to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything. (I wasn't.) That aside, this is a pleasantly gray (is there such a thing?) version of said ugly blackout curtains, and they do an excellent job of blacking things out. In summary, these curtains are gray and they black things out, and you really can't get any better than that for gray, blackout curtains. So, five stars.FYI, if you want your room to be truly dark, you'll probably want to get a valence of some kind to go above these, as obviously light can still escape above where the curtain hangs on the wall.

I have two west-facing windows in my second-story bedroom, and the afternoon sun just blazes through them, making my whole second floor hot despite air conditioning and ceiling fans. I bought these curtains to block the sunlight with the hope of keeping my bedroom cooler. The difference was noticeable in one day! These curtains do the job for blocking light, and they look really nice. I love the feel of the fabric, too.

Excellent curtains!! I needed 8 sets, which is 16 panels for our sun room. The price was excellent: $30.00 for 2 panels. I sewed a 2-inch tunnel, so I could insert inexpensive curtain rods and this created the pretty top above it.The color is fabulous and the fabric feels elegant. I washed and dried them. They didn't need to be ironed and look beautiful, as you can see in my photos.

These curtains do just what they're supposed to do, keep out the light. I was skeptical because of the price but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the long curtains, in black, for my bedroom so my husband could sleep during the day easier (night shift) and the first day they were up he slept much better! If you're looking for absolute blackness, these come about as close as you can get for the money you spend.

I was very skeptical when I placed my order, as you never really know what you're getting when you order online. Well let me just say that I LOVE these curtains! I ordered the Burgundy and it is a rich and beautiful color. The quality is exceptional, considering the very fair price I paid for them. When I first opened the package and felt the material, I was quite surprised. I did not expect the quality to be so good. I wasn't sure what thermal meant in terms of curtains but these definitely delivered. I also love the fact that they are truly blackout curtains, as the description states. And lastly, these curtains have noticeably helped with the cold drafts from my window. I am waiting to reorder more so I can change all the other curtains in my house. I highly recommend these curtains.

Ordered these curtains because they were cheap and cheerful. I'm definitely not disappointed, but they're also no Restoration Hardware material. They will get the job done (block out the light) and they look as to be expected and not too cheap. Stitching was done a bit poorly but you can't tell once they're hung. Be prepared to steam them when they arrive! Bottom line - I would recommend these if you need to block out light and don't want to spend a fortune!

Fabric was soft but sturdy and color matched as advertised. Some of the stitching at the top contained loose threads at the end of the stitch. But the stitches were intact in spite of this.

These curtains have a lovely, soft feel to the fabric. I have them hung on windows in the guest bedroom that receive intense morning light. They block the light as well or better than the Eclipse curtains I had before. I like that the backing is the same color as the front and they feel & hang like velvet curtains and are not stiff like other blackout curtains. My only complaint is that I ordered two sets and one set was at least an inch shorter than the other. I kept them anyway, since I had two panels that matched for each window and the windows are far enough apart that it isn't noticeable.

I love the color and the quality is great. Definitely will keep light out of the room and completely black it out. I bought them to keep cool air out of my living room because I have a huge bay window and these curtains are amazing. I can finally sit on the couch next to the window and not feel any cool air at all. Definitely recommend these.

Exactly what I've been looking for.. Working nights i needed for my room to be dark like night time and they do just that.. My window measures 48"×48"so i ordered the 54" wide × 63" long and they perfect for almost complete darkness. I also have a mini blind because I wanted complete darkness. Slides easily on the curtain rod as well with no strings or cords to worry about...

These are nice curtains; they look more expensive than their cost, but I returned them. They are listed as burgundy in color and I thought they were more red than burgundy. That's the risk one takes when ordering certain things online ......... the color isn't always the same as what appears on your computer monitor/tablet/phone. As I said, the curtains were well-made; I think they would have worked well as room darkening curtains; and I would have kept them if they were the right color. I'd recommend these curtains.

These curtains seem great, but they are a very dark navy, almost black, and didn't match my comforter like I was hoping. Also, they are like a magnet for fur, so just by taking them out of the box and walking across the room with them, they became covered in my dog and cats' fur. If you have pets, I'd stay away from these unless you don't mind constantly cleaning them. But they do seem like quality curtains.

These work great in our sons room. We got the blue ones because he already had a blue one that kinda worked so we figured if these blue ones worked then we would be good and they work well. If you REALLY want completely black out curtains maybe you should get the black ones because the ones we have don't completely black out his room but it is definitely darker in there and it definitely keeps the sun out in the morning which was what we got them for.

If you're looking for inexpensive blackout curtains these are the ones for you! I bought the black ones and I'm happy with their performance. The only place the light bleeds is from the edges but it is very minimal. My room now feels like a vegas hotel!Their sound deadening abilities leave a lot to be desired. I have no idea where they got that 60% noise reduction as I was only able to get a few decibel difference. They are fare too thin to make any real noise reduction.

I needed curtains for the bedroom which would block out the all night yard light that the neighbor has. It's annoying to have light creep in while one is trying to sleep. These curtains do the job. They come as a set of two panels and I sewed the two panels together so there is no split and just pull them across the slider door. Two panels are ample enough to fill the space and block the light. They are heavy and drape fairly well. The color is exactly what I was looking for which is a rich looking dark brown. During the day the curtain is pushed to one side and tied (ties included) and hidden behind an accent panel drape.

Our home has many very large windows, which are very pretty, but it reaps havoc on our utility bills and our decor. In the summer it's blazing hot, in the winter it's horribly cold, and all year round it's super bright, which fades the color of our carpet and furniture. I bought these in a couple of different colors to keep each room a more even temperature and block out the blinding light.These are perfect for what I needed. They are more "light filtering" than "black out" - so for those of you looking for a pitch black room, these are not going to do the job. The beige makes the room more dim, but not dark. The navy, which I used in our sons' room, definitely does make it darker. If you're looking for black out, I would literally go with the black curtains paired with black out horizontal blinds.The fabric is very nice, soft and durable. I tossed them in the dryer with a few fabric sheets just to get the wrinkles out before hanging them and they came out beautifully. They are true to size. I have a triple bay window that measures 105" across the front of the living room. To create a more "full look" I used 4 panels. The loops are very wide and do accommodate wide decorative rods. I like these very much and I plan to buy more of them for other rooms in our house!

They are okay. Ordered beige and the material is nice, but they only block MOST of the light, not '99%' as claimed on the package and what I would expect of a blackout curtian. One panel also had a discolored spot on it that isn't very noticable, but, there is still a spot on brand new out of the package, light colored curtains.

For the price.. i could have done worse ?

The fabric has a very slight bronzy shimmer to it that isn't noticeable in the picture. It's not a huge deal, it can hardly be noticed. One pet peeve I have is that one side of one of the panels is crooked. We just had to make sure the slanted side was on the inside and just covered it up with the other panel. I thought about returning it for these reasons but for the price it does exactly what I want which is block outdoor light and that to me was most important since it was for a nursery.

I have no complaints about the service and communications. I was not happy with the color. It said it was beige but it is a cream color. I could not use it in the bedroom that I wanted to but used them in a spare bedroom. I like the size and light blocking material. I have to note that I had to redo one of the sides because it would not lay flat even after ironing.

Seller read my review and gave me a $20 credit, I spent about $75, it was a good gesture but I will not trust to make a purchase from them again.

Curtains are okay, they were small dirt looking spots, a run going down the middle of one panel. The packaging was not great, very wrinkled when I opened it. Didn't return because I would have no coverage on my big windows, where I had just removed vertical blinds. Will not purchase again.
They do block out the light not to sure about the heat yet, the quality should be better for the price.

These curtains are perfectly sized for my window, they slide easily across the bar, they aren't too heavy (I have a very thin curtain bar and it bends just so slightly), and they block almost all sunlight and headlights which kept waking me up in the night! The only light that gets through comes around the curtains. They also keep the room noticeably cooler than without them, and I get full sun through my window. The reason I'm giving this three stars is because the tie backs that are supposed to hold the midsection of the curtains look cheap and don't look like they belong. But other than that easily fixable problem (custom or store tiebacks), these are GREAT!

They block the light. They were a full two inches short on the 84" length curtains. And they were not 52" wide. One inch short there. Holy cow. I am absolutely disappointed by these curtains. I can see an inch of glass at the bottom. If they had been the right length they would have been just within 1/2 inch of the floor. I did add a 1" gather at the top. Tried the tabs and the pocket, both regally suck.

I ordered these in January and just got around to putting them up. One set was the correct length and the other set is about 4" short of length (they are only 80" long instead of 84" Looks like it's been longer than a month so I don't have the option to return them.The quality of the curtains is very nice and blocks out a lot of light.

I ordered the black panels and I cannot comment on the accuracy of length, blackout effectiveness or hanging style, because the material was very satiny, which is not what I expected. I'm returning, but very disappointed that I have to pay over $9 in shipping to return the product that 'm dissatisfied with. Excellent thermal and light blocking properties. Examine your curtains immediately to see if there are stains. I had to return 1 set and another had a stain that I did not see until I hung it up. Also, they are very wrinkled. Another reviewer mentioned washing and then drying to remove wrinkles. This did not help me. I had to IRON them. So buyer beware.

These are just heavy polyester curtains, not thermal or insulated or black out. I got the black and it blocks most light but the weave isn't tight enough to block all light. See the photo taken with daylight but not direct sun outside and if you enlarge it you will see the pinholes in the weave.They might stop some drafts but otherwise they are not stop any more heat transfer than any other heavy curtain. My swedish curtains do a better job and are better quality for a similar price.

The curtains provide good draft prevention but they came extremely wrinkled and the wrinkles would come out. I hung them and fully expected the wrinkles to fall out but they won't budge. Today, after a month of the drapes being hung up and still being terribly wrinkled, I tried steaming the wrinkle but the wrinkles still won't budge. So, if wrinkles don't bother you, the drapes are otherwise okay. The material is a bit satin/shinny, which doesn't bother me. The color is as it looks on my computer, cranberry red/maroon.

Beware that the colors do not match. I ordered the navy blue. Upon opening, I could see that the two panels were different colors, one was navy and one was considerably lighter. The two panels that were both supposed to be navy blue were not the same colors, and they would have looked mismatched if I hung them up as is. Needless to say, these were promptly returned.

The Amazon website said the fabric was cotton, but when I received the curtains, the fabric was 100% polyester - exactly what I did not want. The curtains are being returned, and I found cotton ones elsewhere.

Look: When it arrived and I took it out of the packaging, the color was much darker than I expected - almost more of a purple, and the grommets were tarnished and the metal had corroded creating a green ring on the outer edges of the grommets. They had also left an unsightly impression in the curtains. I was very disappointed by them as I'd been looking forward to a lush look for my bedroom.

Room Darkening: I put them up during the daytime to check their room darkening capability and was very pleased at how dark they made the room (I work nights and don't wake up until the afternoon so that component is especially important to me). However, setting them above the windows as shown in the photo will bring in daylight on the tops of the curtains. Because I'm looking for complete blackout curtains, I set them below the tops of my windows and against them which helped dramatically.

Overall: I decided to keep the curtains (which is why I rated them two stars) rather than return them as I simply put them behind my regular curtains which gave me both the look I wanted and the functionality of blackout curtains. However, I would not recommend these to anyone.

Loved everything about these except that 3 out of the four sets I bought were not the same length. They were off by anywhere from 1/2 to over 1 inch. Was like putting together a puzzle matching panels that were uniform. Very disappointed since I was so excited to finish decorating the last room in my newly purchased home and I have company this weekend.

I was quite disappointed by these curtains as when they arrived, one of the panels had a large stain in the middle, which becomes quite obvious when light shines through the curtains. Additionally, they are not as blackout as I had hoped they would be, and still does let some light through, especially in the mornings when it's brightest. I would not buy again through Utopia Bedding.

These window panels are very poorly made. The sewing was irregular and the material had numerous pulls and snags. There was also one panel that had a portion that was faded and a different color on part of it. I would not recommend these panels.

I ordered these in Navy blue and they sent black (VERY BLACK) curtains in navy blue labeled packaging. Everything black that I held these against confirmed that these were indeed labeled incorrectly. They are also SATIN MATERIAL. I would avoid these if you do not want a satin look to your windows.They do block out every ounce of light--so they do the job I got them for. Just very disappointed in the look and color. I would not order these again.Don't have time to return these so unfortunately they are staying where they are hanging.

Nice curtains but definitely not black out.

Ordered these curtains in 84L and came in approx 55-60L, (I did not measure but they just came below the window which is not floor length). In addition they are back tabs and 2 of the tabs came needing to be sewn as they were unattached. With all that said the material seemed to be nice and def blackouts. I am unable to return because my husband hung them and tossed the packaging before I came home. Disappointing to say the least.

Great fabric but these are regular curtains, I.dont see how they could advertise them.as black out curtains as the sun still comes through. Dissapointed since it was misleading.

These are great. But to jump from 13 to 23 in 3 weeks???

Too thick and heavy, past return date so now I'm stuck.

I've purchased these curtains before and they're very nice, which why I ordered more. But these panels are damaged and dirty. I'm disappointed.

Nice however "blackout" does NOT describe what this does... let's much of the light in, and even cannot see difference in other curtains. Nice quality material though.

Ordered 2 sets of these for 2 Windows in same room--ordered beige one pair beige --the other pair is more yellowish--not happy!

These are not black out curtains, disappointed, would not recommend.

These curtains don't hang evenly one looks shorter than the other. The wrinkles are difficult to get out. I am disappointed in the quality. Measured and does not reach 84 inch.

Really disappointed. The grey curtains seem really cheap and sad.

We ORDERED black and these were NOT BLACK at all. Navy blue at best.Needed to darken a room so we kept them but otherwise completely disappointed since we STILL need BLACK curtains.

Unlike so many others I am not happy with these. They are not made well. They are uneven, the seams are not straight. They look like they were thrown together at the end of a slave labor shift somewhere deep in a third world country.Not worth half the price. They are going back.

A pin sized hole looks like we're the tag punctured , light emits from the little hole. I need to use them so I can return them in the future do NOT puncture the material just to put a tag . You harmed the product .
