This is the only oil I use in my Hyundai Santa Fe, one change per yer.

Replaced the crappy oil in my 94 Camaro with this stuff and I can already tell the difference. The car instantly starts up and it feels a lot better.

I have used this for over a year. Engine keeps on purring.

Great oil. I used it back when it was sold as conventional oil rather than synthetic.

The product is exactly as described and at this point, there is nothing that I would call wrong with it.

Great buy and bargain! This was the cheapest price for this oil! Definitely recommend for anyone that needs to do a oil change on a small engine. Don't trust the cheap knockoff products that are sold on other sites! Excellent product!

We got this oil for our new lawnmower as it came recommended by Craftsman! Our mower has never run better after changing the oil before the summer season hits. We will be ordering more of this as it is affordable and just as promised.

Briggs continues to live up to their reputation of American Made quality and consistency amongst their line of products. Sure it is not necessary to use their oil just because I own a Briggs engine but when the price is right on a quality item I buy it! I use this oil in my leaf blower and in my lawn mower. I would use a different oil in my generator and snow blower because those machines run in cold weather. Enjoy!

Yes this might not be the cheapest oil, but at least you can rest assured that it is the exact correct oil for your B&S. This 48 oz. bottle is the correct amount of oil for OHV engines typically found in riding mowers. There is also an 18 oz. bottle used for the smaller L-head engines found in push mowers. My local home and garden store only carried the 18 oz. size, so rather than having to buy 3 smaller bottles and having an odd amount left I bought the 48 oz. size.When changing the oil, my particular engine took a little less than the full bottle, so I have a little extra to use for topping-off the oil during the season. I can't say too much about the oil other than it works fine! My 17 year-old engine isn't complaining and still runs great!FYI, if you care not to buy B&S oil just about any detergent SAE 30 oil will do. Avoid multi-grade oils like 10W-30 in these engines.

It worked and is purple. Other than that not sure if it's worth the added price, unless you are using your vehicle for high performance activities.

I got the filter to go with this oil. Car says 5w 20 but it gets really hot here, so went with the 30. Good bargain buying it in the 5L jug.

Too soon to properly review but I will update as required.So far I do notice a possible mile or two per gallon of fuel efficiency increase and what would appear to be a marginal throttle response increase.

Well, it is oil and it claims to be synthetic. I don't happen to have a petro-chem lab in my back yard so I have absolutely no idea how good or bad it is. All I can say is that my car has run fine - it's not a miracle cure after all, it's just oil

Good stuff for a good price. Shop around, it rarely pays to buy local any more. Especially if it is something you know you need but you don't need right this second. This is quality stuff and way less expensive online than it is in store.

I felt better buying OEM oil for my B/S motor on an Xmark Quest. The only thing I didn't like is there isn't quite enough oil to fill the crankcase. I had to mix in some Castrol 30w. I don't think it will affect anything, but not happy I had to do it!

Keeps the riding lawn mower running so my pregnant wife can keep the lawn cut down.

It's expensive for 30W oil.But they claim that it's "formulated for higher temperatures" of air cooled motors.I don't know if I think they can really do anything special to it unless it's a synthetic or synthetic-blend.But luckily I didn't need much for my new mower.It's a big investment, so I figured give it the best oil I could per manufacturer's recommendations.

Just what the manufacturer ordered ! Replace old stuff with Fresh oil & Oil Filter, Air cleaner, New spark plug and the Lawn mowing machine is still running strong after 12 seasons of heavy use. Take care of your equipment and avoid big repair bills or the need to replace the equipment prematurely. Better to invest up front and prevent damage than to pay for expensive repairs or replacement equipment

Very convenient size of very decent oil. I'm used to little quarts of this oil, but Amazon makes it convenient. My Lawnmower is coming up on 30 years old and it's still ticking thanks to me checking and changing the oil regularly.Like the size of this so I'll always have some handly.

Not sure you can ever 'love' engine oil, but it fit the bill as to what we needed, and since we live quite a ways from a local auto store, and was ordering some other parts for our Briggs & Stratton power washer, we decided to order online. We were not disappointed. Our first mistake was waiting too long to change the oil. We won't make that mistake again.

It seems fine but after some more research I think I will be buying Mobil1 from now on. Plus, Royal Purple is a little pricey.

would of voided my new car warranty won't use on any new car.. seems ok for my old ford.. won't buy again

not sure why its better than the synthetic I run in my truck. More expensive but it's the only oil I plan on running in my new quad... I'll get back to you

It is ok, but Amazon raised the price so it became more expensive than better known brands of Synthetic oils. I feel that all the major synthetic oils provide more protection than I need. As a result, I buy on price and I am now changing my four vehicles to other brands of Synthetic oils.

I just ran this oil through my car for 3000 miles...I'm a little dissappointed. It broke down very easily and had burned through about a quart in my Infiniti G37. Regular Royal Purple just isn't that good anymore, if you want a great oil buy Royal Purple HPS, which has a bunch of extra longevity and wear additives compared to the normal stuff.

Last year I purchased a Toyota Prius. After I used all of the free oil changes, I looked for something that would improve the gas mileage of the the little gas engine, especially in cold weather. Unfortunately, my mileage dropped after I started using this oil. I then switched to Mobile 1 and mileage improved. Perhaps the the fact that Royal Purple does not sell a 0-20 or 0-30 oil other than its expensive racing line is part of the problem since winters in the high country of Colorado are very cold. Whatever the reason, this oil seemed to make the little Prius engine work harder.

I THOUGHT IT WAS A GALLON, TURNS OUT TO BE 1 1/ 2 QUARTS. NOT A GOOD PRICE AT ALL.

Easier to have all my tune up stuff delivered at once. This was part of my yearly "replenish" the tune up parts so I have all available should a problem arise.

Engine oil that works like engine oil. I presume since my engine hasn't blown.

strange.. this time my order was in a zip lock bag with a leaking container.. looks like cap seal broke.. not happy!!!

No noticeable performance increase. I don't see where this is any more special than any other synthetic motor oil.

We put this oil in our cars based on the great recommendations and reviews, however we will not be doing it again. I drive an 08 Civic Si and he drives an 02 Acura RSX Type S. We didn't have any horrific malfunctions or anything, but I've noticed my car seems to sort of chug and he's been having a few issues with his. I wouldn't recommend it for ricers.

This is not a review of the product.This is a review of the actual packaging.This item was received in a 5 gallon pail with out a dispenser spout. The item pictured is not a bucket.Surprise is usually not a good thing.I also am not fond of the idea of having an open 5 gallon bucket that I have to dispense a product from without contamination of either the product in the bucket or the dispensed product.A 5 gallon pail without a dispenser spout is tough to work with. The price and product is great, just bummed I didn't receive what was pictured.

I thought it was a good deal until I compared it to other deals.As far as I am concerned,oil is oil if you change it regularly.

After using this product for the last 3 oil changes it was not the best oil. I ended up lossing mpg. I went from 26 mpg to 20 from just changing this oil. I switch to mobile 1 extended perfromance and instantly went back up to 26.

This is a great product, I've used in the past. I'm knocking it down because nowhere did I see anywhere this particular oil can not be used in diesel engines. Only after I was at my mechanic's office did he show me I can't use it. I thought he was just being picky but when I read the back it says in small print half way down the paragraph- "not for diesels". That's nice. I'm not paying to ship it back as it's too expensive to deal with. So, someone in my family is getting a great oil for their oil change.

For the price did not notice any difference in engine smoothness or any of that crap it's just oil with purple die and a high price tag

I'm outraged! Everywhere in this product description it says "improves performance in gasoline and diesel engines" and on the back of the bottle I've found "Not recommended for use in diesel engines". Very mileading description, actually is an ad for Royal Purple.

Withdrawn my 5 stars to 1 star for one reason...it's a group 3 oil.I did not see anywhere on the container that it contains synerlic--which is their group 4 oil. The whole time I've been using this oil for 2 years and I didn't know until a mechanic saw me dropping off the container told me that the HMX and racing version is a group 4. After a short research, he was right.Do yourself a favor and avoid this. Pay the extra few bucks and get the ones that have a clear label on it that states, "with synerlic."

After reading many reviews and viewing the marketing and test information found on-line, I decided to try RP in my Volvo. I have always used synthetic oil and have never had engine noise, nor did the engine ever burn oil. Immediately after adding RP to my engine, I noticed that the engine was much noisier and after about the first 1K miles, there was a decrease in performance. At about 5K miles, the engine was noticeably much noisier and there was a drastic loss of performance. Upon checking the oil level, I notice that I was almost two quarts low. I immediately changed the oil and went back to the synthetic oil that I was previously using. The engine is now quiet and performance is back to normal, with very little oil consumption. I am just writing honestly about my experience with this product; it may be fine for other applications.

Terrible, make my craftsman riding mower smoke a lot.

this was offered for sale at a good price and then they cancelled my order apparently cause they didn't charge enough. Bunch of BS to me. It is great oil as I have bought it before, but cancel me for their screw up is a nono...

I was excited for this product! Was able to use it 3 times before ithe stitching broke. Wouldn't recommend this, spend your money elsewhere

Description says 30W, whatever that is, but bottle is marked SAE30. Can get that for much less.

This oil has a heavy sulphuric smell and does not last more than a few months in a standard lawnmower. This appears to be a knockoff.
