Works great, recommended
March 20, 2017
This leather conditioner worked great for my well-loved leather jacket. Used in conjunction with Leather Cleaner by Leather Honey: The Best Leather Cleaner for Vinyl and Leather Apparel, Furniture, Auto Interior, Shoes and Accessories. Concentrated Formula Makes 32 Ounces When Diluted!, I was able to clean and condition the entire jacket in about 2 hours total. The conditioner comes as a gel. It does darken the leather a bit, but after it's been applied and left to sit for 24h, the leather is much more supple. My jacket is so happy!Attached are two "after" photos.
This is the good stuff!
February 20, 2017
This is good stuff! It was recommended by the manufacturer in N. Carolina. I have a 2 yo leather couch. Thick saddle leather. Not your bargain box store couch. This juice goes on like maple syrup. It says to us a cloth. I found it much easier to massage it into every nook with my fingers. I warmed it up a bit in the hot tap water. It flowed easier but it was still like syrup. It looked funny, at first. Then after 30 minutes the leather soaked up the honey and it looked great. Best of all, absolutely no smell!!!! By 3 hours later it was ready for more. I'll wait a month or six before I reapply. Because.... that's all you need. This is good stuff!!! And, an American company family owned to boot. I even got s very nicely written email from the CEO. Let's make America great by using products like this. Dem or Rep this is the good stuff. Tim C Augusta, GA.
Great Product - No Residue or Change in Color
November 13, 2016
Well, I have read a number of the reviews, both prior to and after using the product. I am a bit bewildered by those one and two star reviews that describe a sticky or thick product that left a residue. Perhaps you should have warmed the product a bit (as recommended) before beginning.

Regardless, I am extremely happy with Leather Honey. I have a pair of Teju Lizard boots that are 35 years old, and also a pair of new Caiman boots. I used Leather Honey on both. The product went on smoothly (I used a clean microfiber cloth), with no residue or stickiness. I applied a light coat and let the product sit and dry overnight, and buffed the boots with another clean microfiber cloth.

I am extremely happy with how the product went on, and how it buffed-out. I experienced no stickiness, no residue, and the Leather Honey did not change the color of either pair of boots. I will buy this product again. I also plan to buy and try Leather Honey leather cleaner. Highly recommended.
Be sure to allow your leather furniture to "drink its fill!!"
October 17, 2016
Twenty five years ago we bought a fine Italian leather sofa, chair and ottoman from a well-known furniture warehouse. We took advantage of their kind offer for a lifetime supply of leather care kits. Twice each year we would stop by to pick up refills, and would clean and then reapply the conditioner provided. However, we have loved our dogs more than the leather. After just installing new hardwood flooring, we noticed how scratched, scuffed and cracked the leather had become despite this care. We considered sending in a sample of the "mushroom color" dyed leather to get a custom kit to re-dye and condition; but the price would have exceeded $150 for the DIY kit. So we thought we'd try a premium leather conditioner first. While it looked like a 16 oz bottle would be enough, with Amazon Prime, the 32 oz bottle seemed a better deal; given that any leftover would be available for other leather goods and future care of the furniture.
Early this morning, I separated all the cushions to treat them. After some experimentation, I found a 6in x 6in scrap cut from an old polyester "polar fleece" hoodie was a perfect applicator. Because the bottle indicated this is a natural product, and it was totally free of any odor that might indicate presence of solvents, I used my bare hands and the applicator cloth to massage in a generous coating then placed the cushions aside to allow the conditioner to be absorbed. By the time I'd finished the four seats and four backs (perhaps 40 minutes) the first had dried....and the scuffs and scratches had reappeared. Undeterred, I applied a second generous coating to each cushion and laid them aside before treating the lower facings, arms, sides, and backs of each piece. By then >8oz. was gone from the bottle. However, as a bonus to my project, I'd just bought a 3 pack of cowhide work gloves that needed to be "broken in" and oiled to make them flexible and form-fitting enough to wear while doing carpentry. So, each time I took a break, I put my oily hands inside one pair, liberally applying leather honey to all surfaces of the thumb and forefinger, and wore them each in turn.
After three coats had been applied to all leather surfaces of the furniture, the vast majority of the leather was as shiny and supple as new. But after absorption, the scuffs and scratches provided by the dogs, located on the top surfaces and outer edges of the cushions and the arms were reappearing - much less obvious but still leaving room for doubt. Determined, I reassembled the furniture but continued to apply coat after coat; concentrating only on the areas of cracks, scuffs and scratches. Fifteen or so minutes after each application, the conditioner had soaked in, leaving the marring subtly less obvious. The surrounding leather stopped absorbing any further conditioner, and did not darken, so I continued spot applications - following along each crease or scratch with a generous layering. Finally, after intermittently applying more than 10 coats over the next 8 hours, the cracks and scratches themselves began to blend into the surrounding leather. I never did find it necessary to buff the coating with the large piece of polar fleece I had set aside. The conditioner has now been totally absorbed, leaving behind a nice matte finish. It's taken 16 oz for the sofa and chair, but the furniture looks like well-aged leather furniture; the color is uniform across all surfaces, and what were obvious scratch marks and scuffs now blend in with the overall patina that only fine leather furniture is able to acquire over time. I still have to bring the ottoman back up from the basement to treat - that and hear the kids argue over who's going to inherit these pieces. From now on, it will be Leather Honey Conditioner that is reapplied every six months to maintain this patina. And just maybe the dogs can learn to stand beside the furniture to get their ears scratched. Read my other reviews and you'll find I don't give kudos to products that don't perform as promised. This one's a winner, if you're patient and don't mind investing the proper amount of time and elbow grease. Peace/Out.
From zombie boot to "like new"!
September 4, 2013
I conditioned about 15 pairs of leather shoes, slippers, flip flops and boots. A little goes a long way... I prefer to work it in with my fingers and a tooth brush for in and around difficult areas. Later you can wipe and buff out (with a terry cloth rag) what little is left. There was a problem and the Leather Honey company took care of it immediately! Wonderful customer service.
Now for the WOW factor... I found a pair of boots in the basement with an 1/8" or more of mold on them... on my way to the trash I remembered Leather Honey... That gooey leather product saved my boots... I paid around $200 for them, wore them a couple of times and forgot about them in the basement. See before and after photos...

Love this stuff
May 16, 2017
Love this stuff. Only use once a week. I dry my hair while still in the shower with a hand towel then leave product on for 10 min. Makes my hair softer and shinier. Doesn't smell as good as some of the other products out there but still smells nice. Smell doesn't linger on my hair like others.

Your hair will literally never feel softer than when you use this. I wish it was a little less expensive but it truly is miraculous. Since I have bleached my hair, I use this almost every time I shower even though it's deep conditioner. I leave it on for as long as I can in the shower. Sometimes, if my hair is feeling extra brittle, I'll put it on when my hair is dry for a few hours wrapped up.
Pricey but worth it.
March 18, 2017
I rotate my hair products but I really love these. I bought the shampoo and conditioner as well as the leave in product. My hair was completely destroyed and this is part of my healing routine. Several months later, my hair looks and feels like it's never seen a chemical product in my whole life. yes and yes.
Hair feels silky
December 22, 2016
Believe the reviews, this deep conditioner makes your hair feel silky. No sticky residue or grease, just shiny hair. It is a miracle to have wavy hair settle down and easily comb out. Fragrance is noticeable yet dissipates quickly - I was concerned about wearing the fragrance like cologne. I haven't noticed it beyond the hair drying stage and even when just applied, the fragrance is fresh and pretty, not cloying. For my long hair, this product is a winner.
I came up with a trick for ULTRA SHINE!
May 21, 2016
So I read that someone else used it as more of a mask and added some heat.... I came up with my own spin for even more shine and softness. What I do is wash my hair, leave it unconditioned, get out of the shower and put this conditioner on my hair (but not at the roots or close to the scalp). I also pour a half dollar size portion of CHI Keratin Silk Infusion (gray bottle with gold lettering) and go over the same area. I have very thick, long hair so you might not need near as much product as I do. Once I work it through and my hair is soppy and soggy, I wrap it in a loose bun so I can put it in a plastic hair mask then let it fall once it's all inside the mask. I'll grab my blow dryer (Baby bliss dryers are GREAT) and sit on the couch and let my wet hair "marinate" in the 10 Minute Miracle and Chi Silk Infusion mask for 10-15 minutes while watching TV. My hair is getting dyed every 6 weeks right now so it was pretty dry and I was desperate to get some moisture back in it. If you use the 10 Minute Miracle only, it will be okay; the Chi Infusion made my hair much softer and shiny even after being straightened. And they smell GREAT togethet. Either way, it's the heat and time that makes the biggest difference. Just using it in the shower won't give the same result.

Great conditioner, but can darken leather substantially.

Great conditioner, but be aware it may darken your lighter leathers substantially. If you're OK with a potentially drastic color change, go for it. Here's what it did to a $600 pair of boots...

May 31, 2016
I bought the 32 oz. bottle, heated it in the microwave for 20 seconds, then applied it onto my new top-grain leather sofa with a microfiber cloth.
It took 45 minutes to do the sofa. it turned really dark. 3 days later,it's color was back to normal. I am looking for protection from a giant fireplace that puts off tons of heat, and from drying out the leather from ceiling fans. product seems to work, sofa is softer. product is very very pricey though.Bottle is big enough to do the sofa 7 times total.
Works very well
May 2, 2016
Used it on 3 pairs of work boots and a leather coat. The 3 boots were in a variety of conditions and it made all of them look better. Took work dry looking leather and made them look Iike the leather was nice and no longer dry as a desert. One pair was over 6 years old and had never been taken care of and it did a great job of bringing them back to life. On the leather coat, it took it from looking dry and cracked to nice and clean and shiny and looking newer.

It does make all the leather darken a bit though, but to me that's fine, it will take the dried out look away from the leather.

This honey does a great job of restoring leather.
You Actually Need 48+ Hours to Dry
October 28, 2015
I recently bought an old leather jacket made of really thick cowhide (think of the ones used for sofas). The leather jacket survived 80 minutes of high heat inside a dryer after washing with hot water (do NOT do this to thin/soft leathers, mine was THICK leather) in order to shrink it down a bit to my size, but the leather lost its shine and moisture immediately. (thankfully it kept its shape)

I don't have any experience with leather conditioners, so this was a blind buy. I got the Leather Honey cleaner with it cuz that's the recommended prep. The cleaner left a dry soapy residue on the leather which I didn't remove prior to adding the conditioner. The conditioner feels oily, has the consistency of honey, but it's definitely not oil-based (I could wash it off my hands with water- can't do that with oils). I kept the microfiber rag away and instead used my fingers to apply to save the conditioner. The rag is only for the finishing touch after I apply a whole area.

I waited 24 hours and the leather absorbed most of the conditioner (70% I would say). Certain areas seem to have left over conditioner, which I proceed to remove/lighten by rubbing a microfiber rag in circular motions. The jacket was then left for another 12 hrs to dry. The jacket got a subtle sheen, but the leather was too thick for me to determine if it got any softer (it feels the same).

Does it work? I can still see a light sheen on my jacket 2 weeks since I applied. It's not sticky to the touch but other than the sheen, I'd have no idea it's there. IMO the creators need to update the instructions so people will dry it out longer. I think I applied too little but I'll add more next time (in 6 months which is the supposed time it lasts).
Made My Leather So Nice
September 20, 2013
Solid product with a solid reputation. I used it on my couch and on a large ottoman. Seems to me that Leather Honey is much better suited for pourous leather (my couch). It absorbed quite nicely and did not cause me to have to wipe off any excess. It DID cause some darkening to my leather couch but I didn't mind this at all. Also, I've got to say, they don't call it "honey" for nothing! Honey is the exact consistency of this product and as such, it's pretty tough to work with and difficult to apply. You're going to have to take your time and I'd suggest using a small sponge. On my ottoman, which was not as pourous as my couch; application was a bit easier but I most definitely had to wipe off some excess after I let the product sit and absorb for 24 hours. And HEED the company's advice that, whatever you use to either apply the product or wipe off excess, use something that is totally LINT FREE! Imperative!

Life again in my hair

This isn't going to fix the damage done by glossing my hair blond, but it sure helped a ton! It's not a miracle cure to sky soft hair but it will help quench the dryness. I use it with the spray leave-in conditioner and it makes a pretty good duo.

June 29, 2016
Feels nice when you're washing your hair and lathering the conditioner in, but I can't say it's a "miracle" conditioner. It hasn't really had an affect on my hair once it has dried (it is still fairly coarse/not silky). So I won't be buying it again.

Just ok
January 29, 2017
OK so perhaps I was expecting a miracle after reading all the reviews. I have a 25 year old couch. It is a very expensive designer couch with top grain leather. It's gotten plenty of abuse over the years and was looking dry and cracked. For a while a had been using a cleaner/ conditioner which is useded by Stanley Steemer (I copied the name off the bottle they used) After using up my supply I lost the distributor's information so I decided to try this. It's just OK. No miracles here. I let it sit overnight and then buffed. There was a slight sheen which was nice but the areas which were dry and cracked looking stayed so. I guess I can try another application as stated in the instructions. ( I used 1/2 an 8 oz bottle on the top and front of couch. I didn't apply to sides or back)

November 11, 2015
Only meant for certain kinds of leather. I used it on some leather furniture and didn't like how it finished - tacky and a bit sticky to the skin. But then a few weeks past, and then a few more, and the finish has absolutely transformed. The leather is now much more textured and the tacky finish is completely gone - this stuff just takes a very, very long time to sink in. I have not spilled anything on the leather, but it seems to be more durable and "protected," if you will. A definite change in character. This product is, as others have said, probably best for rugged leather shoes and automotive leather, but it did work great on my furniture; just be careful to realize it takes a very long time to sink in and I've heard it can change the leather color (my couches are black).
It does do it's job, but...
August 18, 2015
I ordered this product a couple weeks ago after reading what seemed like hundreds of reviews - both good and bad. I decided to order both the Leather Honey cleaner and conditioner mainly because of the large amount of positive reviews. Now its my turn to review the products.

First off, both products arrived over a week before the estimated delivery time. Good job Amazon! Looking at both bottles, they are a simplistic design - almost antique looking, not showy but not bland, i actually quite like the look myself. The instructions are fairly basic, but easy to follow and make perfect sense.

Leather Honey cleaner:
I bought the 8oz bottle which comes concentrated, so i used a spray bottle and filled it with the recommend amount of water and Leather Honey Cleaner written on the back of the bottle, shook it up and it was ready to go. The bottle states that you put 2 tablespoons of cleaner to one cup of water, i found that i needed to put 3 tablespoons of cleaner to a cup of water because i couldn't get the cleaner to actually get in the leather and lift the dirt and grim - not until i put in the 3rd tablespoon. I used a brush to clean my leather car seats just because the brush can help get into the leather easier and bring up the dirt and grime. You will need to use a fair bit of elbow-grease for the product to work, but it does work. My leather is 24 years old - not ripping/tearing or anything, but is old, and the cleaner was nice and gentle on the leather, no harsh chemicals are used in the cleaner (as far as i am aware.) But the product does work.

Leather Honey Conditioner:
Now the conditioner. As the name suggest, it is thick like honey, almost unpleasantly thick. Many people said you don't need to use gloves when applying the conditioner, but i would recommend using them as the conditioner is thick, it leaves a thin layer over your hands. When washing your hands it takes longer than it should as it is almost like cleaning oil or butter off of your hands, takes a while as the conditioner seems to repel the water. I used a rag to apply the conditioner as it was easier rather than a brush. The conditioner goes on pretty tough, so you will need to use some elbow-grease to spread it evenly over the leather. Some of the lower starred reviews, they stated that light coloured leather (like mine - cream colour) gets stained a darker colour than the original colour, and the company is aware of this too as they state on the back that some leathers may change colour, but over time will return back to the original colour. I didnt have this problem, so i'm not sure about the colour changing. The bottle also states that you leave the conditioner on the seats over night and wipe off the excess the next day, so thats what i did. The excess does wipe of, but it is tough because of the thick consistency. I found that it didn't leave a sticky feel, and it also leaves a nice shine. I sort of have a love/hate thought on this product because, yes it does condition the seats (made mine nice and soft and almost brought the life back to them) but it is thick and hard to evenly spread across the leather.

Final opinion:
The leather cleaner is a non harsh chemical product that helps to clean seats, and yes it does clean the seats, but you have to use some elbow grease, and i found i needed to add more concentrated cleaner per cup of water to have the product have some more effect to the leather. Like i said earlier, my car seats are 24 years old, and being sitting in the Australian sun its whole life, they were very dry, so the cleaner helped clean and bring moisture back to the seats. The conditioner, would i use it again, yes, but would i use it on a ferrari... probably not. The thick, almost unpleasant consistency makes it difficult to spread evenly over the seats, but it also does its job, conditions and brings life back to the seats, and thats what a leather conditioner is meant to do.
Be careful when using after spot-cleaning; otherwise great product
October 5, 2014
Let me explain my three star review. I think that this product is excellent in some circumstances and can ruin products after spot cleaning.

As for the GOOD: It worked wonderfully on restoring my boots that are a season old. They look better than they did when I first bought them! They are both high quality leather. One had water damage so bad that even a local shoe repair store owner told me that they could not be salvaged. Now they look wonderful. The other pair of boots had no severe damage, but looked a little worn after a season of wear. I took before & after pictures. I wish that I could upload them for this product!

But for the BAD: It almost ruined my high quality leather purse. And yes, I DID test it on an inconspicuous area first. The issue that I had is that because I had just spot cleaned the purse, the leather honey absorbed more deeply in areas where I had just cleaned. Where the leather absorbed more of the leather honey, the leather became darker and created dark blotches and inconsistent color. I wouldn't mind if it made the whole purse a shade or two darker. But it only made the spot cleaned areas a few shades darker. Luckily, I realized after applying to just part of my purse and the leather cleaner took the majority of the darker spots out of the purse leather.

The takeaway: Be weary when using this product after spot cleaning. Spot cleaning alters the finish on the leather so that it absorbs the leather honey inconsistently. When conducting a spot test, make sure to use any cleaner in the inconspicuous area for the test so that it gives you a more accurate test.
Leather Honey: Inaccurate claims
November 13, 2013
I just recently used this on a lot of different leather products. I have a bomber jacket, Timberland "Pro" boots (natural yellow leather), and Chippewa "Rugged handcrafted lace-up boot".

This product claims to help with water resistance, and this was NOT true for any of the items I tried it on. My Timberland boots were actually factory waterproofed before the treatment, and they lost the treatment in the process of using Leather Honey; water actually soaks into my jacket and leather boots almost as soon as water hits the surface.

Leather Honey did, however, soak into both of my boots very quickly and helped to soften them up a lot! For that, I'd give it 5 stars. It didn't, soak into my jacket for about a week! I applied it about a week ago and there's still parts of the jacket that have this greasy, tacky, oily film on it. The jacket is a bit softer, but I'm a little upset that it took that long.

So, the product advertises that it'll soak in within 24 hours - WRONG
Waterproof? WRONG
Not oily? WRONG

Not the best deep conditioner. I really love It's a 10's other products. Has a pleasant smell, but didn't do much for my hair. Packaging and shipping were great tho.
Meh.
April 27, 2017
You know, this smells AMAZING but it didn't really do much for my dry hair. I fell for the hype, I guess. If you're just interested in amazing smelling conditioner (but not a thick, rich DEEP conditioner), go for it.
Works very well when left on for like 8 minutes and very generously applied
December 10, 2016
Works very well when left on for like 8 minutes and very generously applied. That's the only downside because I have bleached hair and I need to use it frequently, so this bottle, if I used it like that every time would have only lasted me a week or 2. But I use less, and do not get the silkiness that I get from completely soaking my hair in the stuff. Also, do not see any long term damage repair being done to my hair, like some other products I've used. Actually seen a decline since I switched to try this product instead, particularly on my bangs and front of my hair which sees the majority of the heat applications. And I do use It's a 10 leave in, as well. I am VERY fond of THAT product. But without a good deep condition, it doesn't do as well of a job. Will be trying something different.
Good but not WOW.
May 23, 2016
I like this product for my highlighted, dry hair but I feel like you don't get a whole lot for what you pay. I get that its a higher quality than a regular "pharmacy type brand" BUT it feels like I still have to use a fair amount on my hair so this purchase is not going to last long at all. I have used other nice conditioners that require just a small amount but I don't feel that way about this one. I like their other products and I will enjoy this one while i have it but I don't think I would buy it again.
it's okay
August 10, 2014
I have really long (naturally wavy but I straighten it or put it up most of the time) hair that I have regularly dyed about every 5-6 weeks for several years. The ends of my hair are dry, but not too bad. I usually use Joico moisture recovery treatment balm (it leaves my hair feeling smooth and it's easy to brush through), but I had heard good things about this and gave it a try. I would say it's okay. It's not as moisturizing as I need on my ends so I probably wouldn't purchase it again. If your hair is normal then this would probably be a fine product to use.

Just try spreading something with the consistency of Honey!
September 11, 2017
Most amazon buyer's just love this stuff, how bad can it be? All depends on how your leather is treated, it can be as annoying as hell!

Pros: When the leather accepts it, it's a fine product.
Cons: When the leather refuses to accept it, you keep rubbing that oily residue for days with multiple clean cotton cloths. It's as thick as Molasses (even after it has been heated), ever try spreading Molasses? Good luck applying a thin coat. Used on deerskin leather gloves it made then gooey to the touch and considerably darker. It goes on so thick the the bottle with last you only for about 4 couches (or car interiors..if you are brave enough to try).

And at this price...Lexol Anyone? Just one more note....how does a product with only 74% five star reviews average out to 4.5 stars?
Ehh
June 25, 2016
I was emailed directions on how to use this product, but either I used too little or it doesn't quite perform they way they said. It was supposed to make the leather water resistant, and darken it some. Water still gets absorbed quickly by the leather and it seems like the leather got lighter in some spots but darker in the other. I'll have to try applying another coat or two I guess. I was hoping I wouldn't have to use the whole bottle on one purse, but that might not be avoidable.
It's not as great as people claim
November 28, 2015
--- This is NOT a paid review ---
I had high hopes; used it a number of times on a 4-year-old couch in my formal living room (so no heavy use) with the expectation that it would keep my furniture looking great. It looks nice and feels supple for maybe 2 days and then dries out and looks like its getting tiny cracks and peels in it... Which it never had before using this stuff.

Although this product was not expensive I don't see the value if it doesn't produce lasting protection (or has negative effects).
Waxy and sticky
July 9, 2015
Bought honey leather after 3weeks of research on reviews vs other product. Utterly disappointed after spending my afternoon conditioning my leather sofa.
Yes it gave the leather a shine
No, it made my $2000 sofa sticky and waxy
Maybe after 1day the sofa will be smooth n soft? NO way! The leather just turned into a sticky waxy pad. Literally i had a giant" post-it pad "in my living room.

I spend the next 2hr wiping my sofa using baby dish detergent (was so worried my cleaning will stripped off the leather)

Simply made my sofa sticky and waxy. Want to refund but it's already open. In my cabinet waiting to be discarded.

Update Aug2016
Emailed Leather Honey, didnt hear any reply but 3days later, i got a full refund of my purchase. Added 1 more star for the customer satisfaction business model.
Not that great
August 4, 2014
Not impressed with this product, very sticky and messy when applying. Will possibly leave stains on light colored shoe soles if you don't wipe it off quickly. Leaves a tacky residue long after given 24 hours to dry. I've mainly used this on my Clarks chukka boots and the leather goes back to looking dried out after maybe a week or two. You would have to be insane to try this stuff on a pair of expensive leather shoes because they would likely never be the same again, in a negative way. Much better off with some other conditioner such as Allen Edmonds which is still very affordable, yet designed with higher quality leather in mind.

Also worth mentioning that the stuff seems to ooze out of the top of the bottle even when it is stood upright, tightly sealed, and the cap is closed. So if you do end up buying it, be mindful of where you store it.

Didnt work for my dry bleached hair. Felt nice while it was on but as soon as I rinsed it out it felt the same as usual.
Overpriced, poor quality ingredients, left my curly hair stringy and frizzy
August 24, 2015
Because of the inordinate number of positive reviews about It's a 10 Deep Conditioner Plus, I ignored the ingredients list and purchased it. Aside from the exorbitant price I practically had to take out a loan to pay for, it is loaded with ingredients that are not only bad for the condition of curly hair (and perhaps straight hair, too), some are not particularly safe for the skin. This deep conditioner left my hair dry, frizzy, and stringy.
Here's some of the major offenders:
Silicones - anything ending in -cone, -conol, -col, or -xane is not water-soluble and thus cause build-up that weigh curls down, diminishing definition. There are some really good silicones out there - ones with the prefix PPG or PEG come to mind (neither of which are found in this product).
Glycerin - it is heavy in humectants, which are made to pull moisture into the hair and retain it. This doesn't work unless weather conditions are virtually perfect. If the environment around the hair is drier than the hair, the humectants can possibly push moisture from the hair to the dry air to help balance the moisture in the atmosphere. It also notoriously fades hair color by dissolving and grabbing unbound dye molecules that are easily accessible near the exterior of the hair.
There are other problems, too. There are many ingredients listed that cause skin irritation, and in some cases aggravating existing eczema problems. I should have known better, but I gave the benefit of the doubt because of all the positive reviews.

Save yourself some frustration and a lot of money and invest in a deep conditioner that's actually good for your tresses such as Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner - Sleek & Shine 3 Minute Masque, Curl Junkie Curl Rehab Moisturizing Hair Treatment, or perhaps Bee Mine Bee-U-Ti-Ful Deep Conditioner. They all have high quality ingredients and are far more cost effective ranging from $.79/ounce compared to nearly $3/ounce for this stuff.

On a positive note, while quite strong, it smells luxurious. At least there's that. Unless you're fragrance-sensitive.
It's not a miracle if you have healthy hair to start with
November 25, 2013
I actually think this, in the long run, dries your hair out. I've heard before not to use keratin if you have healthy hair and unfortunately I didn't listen. My stylist mentioned my dry, tangled hair (and I use other high-quality products). While this definitely makes your hair feel good in the shower I think when it does wash out it pulls your natural vitamins out with it. Would not recommend if you have healthy hair.

Poor packaging!
September 10, 2017
Unfortunately the packaging was obviously not protective enough and it leaked all through the packaging. So much so that the USPS had to encase it in plastic and put warning stickers in it! It was a mess. I don't know if the product works or not because it is going back! I won't even take it out of the plastic bag the Post Office put it in because I don't want to be a smelly mess. Too bad. I was looking forward to seeing if it would condition the old leather couch and loveseat I had refinished-which looks great now! I WAS ask looking forward to testing this small bottle and would have purchased more as I knew this bottle would not have been enough.
Ruined my couch.
December 6, 2016
This worked wonders on my briefcase, so I decided to treat my leather couch with it. BIG mistake. It absorbed so unevenly that it ruined my couch. The areas that people touch when they sit (back, arms) absorbed copious amounts and turned almost black. The surfaces that people don't touch (sides) absorbed almost none and didn't change color at all. Now I have an ugly, expensive two-tone couch. There's no way to test this beforehand because any inconspicuous test spot will by definition be a part of the couch that receives little wear, so you can't see if it will absorb differentially. Be VERY careful if you decide to put this on a leather couch.
This product is great for work boots or other items that you plan ...

YOU CANNOT POLISH OVER THIS PRODUCT!!! I bought this leather conditioner to recondition a pair of boots after I stripped them of polish and dye. Once the boots were stripped, I applied the conditioner, wiped off the excess, and waited over 12 hours for the product to dry. After the drying process, I applied a coat of polish and began to shine the boots as I always do. The boots would not shine up at all, even after multiple cycles of polishing and buffing. This product is great for work boots or other items that you plan on abusing, but it is terrible for anything one would consider "dress". It will not take a shine. I took the boots to be refinished by a pro, but after 2 bottles of stripper, 2 bottles of dye, and 3 coats of polish he couldn't even get them to shine up. Don't use it on anything you plan on keeping "nice".
Meant for fine, light leather? Meant for a beginner?

This was difficult to apply and seems to have significantly and permanently ruined the color of a new light brown/almond colored jacket I bought recently. It's dark brown now and as I am not a professional in applying this stuff it left some streaks. I am not sure if this was the right product to use, next time I'll buy the $40+ spray from the manufacturer of the item to be safe.

I did test this on an inconspicuous inner piece prior to use and the difference didn't seem as dramatic.
Sticky

Perhaps this product protects the leather, but I don't know that it does. My leather furniture is ten years old and looks great. I've been using a leather cleaner conditioner that is very popular and cheap. This product was very difficult to apply and very sticky. I can still feel the stick in areas, even though I tried to rub it off. I got my old cleaner conditioner out and it cleaned up all the "where the dog lies" grime. Will not spend this kind of money on a special conditioner again.

seems like a normal conditioner to me

I just dyed my hair so I wanted to add back moisture and try to repair the damage done. This product didn't feel any different in my hair compared to other conditioners, and I didn't see / feel any difference in my hair afterwards either. I used it quite liberally as well. For me, it wasn't worth the money.
nothing special

Ripoff
August 8, 2016
Ripoff. The tube was open already (I don't know if it's supposed to) and there was very little inside. I have a medium length hair and the product was gone after using about 6-7 times.
I don't recommend

I felt my hair a bit softer and that was it. I was expecting better results after finishing all three product lines. For the price, the product is mediocre.
BAH...

I don't understand why it is so expensive... My girlfriend bought it and I tried it but it just makes me lose my hair...
