Five Star Reviews: | 76% Spend a little more money on better quality June 18, 2017 This product seems slightly heavier than my precious oil filter and fit perfect for my vehicle. Spend a little more money on better quality. Happy with purchase and would definitely buy again. Fits my 2008 Dodge Caravan perfectly. May 28, 2017 Love Bosch quality but was concerned Amazon might not match up the right parts for my model / year car based on some reviews. Not am issue. Perfect March. Will def buy from again! better than Fram February 3, 2016 great high quality oil filter Bosch is good stuff & has been for years This filter keeps my oil noticeably cleaner The best way to tell a quality filter is it's weight, the heaver the filter the more filtering is in it & the thicker the steel case. This is waaay heaver than a Fram made in USA December 24, 2015 I bought K & N only to find out they are now made in China or Mexico and leak like sives at the rubber gasket. Fool old Amazon made it good of course and I tried these Bosch. Heavy, ridgid, with a anti leak back valve so you don't have dry starts. Good product at a good price. Good filter March 1, 2014 Did some research and found this filter highly recommended. This 3330 is marked "Made in USA". I've read that that are made by Purolator and the same as a PureONE filter. Works for me. | 89% What a steal of a price!!! April 12, 2017 Fantastic oil filter for my Ford expedition! This oil filter is a high quality product at a fantastic price. amazon's price is even less than Walmart's price. I always stock up on the filters from amazon! A must buy if you do your own oil changes! I pretty much buy them in bulk April 24, 2016 Since I've got three vehicles that use the same oil filter, I pretty much buy them in bulk. The Motorcraft filters are always solid, especially with their silicone drainback valve that to keep oil from draining back into the pan for modular motors. (Something that some brands lack!!!) Heavy sturdy oil filter November 8, 2015 I installed this on my Mazda 6s wagon and it fits perfectly. According to the good reviews here, it seems to be a good filter, time will tell but it feels heavy and well built. Mazda 6s V6 3.0l has in fact a Ford engine, hence the fit. As I will do my own oil change on this car, I'm sure I'll buy again this filter if it holds on like it should. OEM Filter works great on Fusion/Milan. This is the best deal you will find on this OEM filter. September 18, 2015 I use this filter for a 2006 Mercury Milan, and it works perfectly. Obviously, this is an OEM filter, so it should work as Ford intended. It has an anti-drainback design, which keeps some oil in the filter to reduce stress on the engine when starting. Many other brands may not have this feature! From all the places I looked, Amazon had the best prices, so it was a no-brainer for me. Pros: -OEM -Anti-Drainback Design Cons: The ridges on the back side work fine most of the time, but the filter becomes pretty slippery (to tighten) when it gets oil on it. Great filter for my truck August 22, 2015 Great filter for my truck. Silicone ADV and threaded side bypass with above average filtration, all for cheaper than even the "bargain" oil filters, while filtering as well as those costing 3x as much. Wish Motorcraft made filters for my Toyota, I would use them on that too. Amazon makes it easy to get a few shipped at a time to have some extras available. |
Four Star Reviews: | 17% seem to fit fine. 5 stars means "I love it" and I ... February 8, 2017 No leaks, no problems, seem to fit fine. 5 stars means "I love it" and I can't really say that I do as it is just an oil filter, but I would buy again for the price. Does not fit! June 23, 2015 This is listed by Bosch,Amazon and most auto parts stores as being compatible with Mazda 2.0L Skyctiv engine. It is NOT, the threads on this filter are 3/4x16 standard. The Mazda has Metric threads M20x1.5 it will not fit. The proper filter for the 2.0L Skyactiv is the Bosch 3300. Good basic filter April 8, 2014 I'll probably upgrade to the next level up next time around. That brings me to the knock - why is it so darn hard to determine which filter to get between the 3 that Bosch offers. I'm not one to throw money into the pot thinking that I'll get a higher quality product. In this case for a modest increase ($3-5 dollars as I recall) the mid-range does a better filtering job (at least according to the side of the box). No where on the Bosch website, etc. ON THE BOX. OK, I get that I'm buying it online and all that, but c'mon. | 7% Four Stars April 9, 2017 better than that last p.o.s. that starts with an 'f' that the last owner had put on the truck Good filter. April 6, 2017 I installed this on my 2006 F150 Triton V8 5.4 L. It fits well and I have no problems regarding oil pressure. Hard to beat a factory filter for good price vs November 11, 2016 Hard to beat a factory filter for good price vs. performance. These are the only filters I have ever used for my Ford products. Will not fit 2005 Mazda6 S 3.0L V6 June 26, 2016 Did not fit 2005 Mazda 6 s with the 3.0L V6. I'm sure the filter is great but, the Fit Check button said YES it would fit. The filter is too wide and will not go up into the space provided. The original filter is about 3/4 in thinner in diam. Just letting everyone know. :) |
Three Star Reviews: | 2% Cheaply made February 6, 2017 I had a hard time removing this filter even though I was the one who put it one. The outer casing is very flimsily and there are better products out there. Three Stars January 6, 2017 This item looks to be a satisfactory replacement part for my 2010 Ford Focus. More recently I did a lot of research on oil filters and learned that the capacity of these filters isn't as great as others September 3, 2016 I am a huge Bosch fan so I bought these filters for a while...More recently I did a lot of research on oil filters and learned that the capacity of these filters isn't as great as others...I will be buying Mobil1 filters from now on. | 2% Several have been leaky February 10, 2016 The Motorcraft filters are decently made and are really the only good option for Ford's 4.6 V8 engines which is why I continue to use them. That said, I've had issues with several of these. My daughter drives a 2007 Explorer with the Modular V8 and I change her oil and filter every 6000ish miles with the Motorcraft 5W-20 semi-synthetic and the FL820S filter. I check for leftover gasket and torque this filter to Ford Service Manual specifications every single time I change her oil, and every single FL820S I've used has leaked from the seam after a few days. Small leak, but it's still a leak. I've tried other filters temporarily and those have not leaked at all. I've witnessed the same phenomenon with my neighbor's F150 as well. I can't return filters with oil in them so I'm stuck using them. If they weren't the best filter to be using with the 4.6 V8, I would switch to something else. But I'm willing to stick with them and deal with the leaking since they're designed for this engine and haven't given me any issues otherwise. Wrong size November 21, 2015 looks nice thats about all u can do if u have a 2004 ford taurus it does not fit amazon says it does, filter is way to big and thread size is wrong . waste of time Not for a Ford Ranger V6 3.0, 2004 November 27, 2011 List said it would fit, looked different, I looked it up on line and it was not for my truck, retured the item with no issues. |
Two Star Reviews: | 1% Filtech is no more July 13, 2016 Says it is Filtech on ad, but when you get it there is no such markings on box. Also, Filtech has higher removal rate. My first order was Filtech, but my second order was this knock-off. ... rates 5 stars but shipping costs made it a bad deal. My fault August 30, 2014 Filter probably rates 5 stars but shipping costs made it a bad deal. My fault, should have paid more attention. | 0% Not a good fit. June 21, 2016 Actually was not a perfect fit for my Ford E150. Had to tighten it with channel lock pliers just to seal it. MOTOR CRAFT? hum. It does seep too! WTF! |
One Star Reviews: | 4% Now I have six useless Bosch oil filters laying around May 17, 2017 Does not fit in my car as promised. Now I have six useless Bosch oil filters laying around, not know if it can fit another car. Car-model-filter match software didn't work. Gave me a filter ... November 11, 2016 Car-model-filter match software didn't work. Gave me a filter for after a model/size change so now I'm stuck with 2 filters that don't fit and can't return. Bad seal July 22, 2016 So I bought this thinking Bosch was a higher quality product and after 5000 miles, the seal started leaking really bad and just about locked my engine up after draining three quarts in one day. I checked the tightness of the filter and it was fine. I read online about ten years ago someone shared the same story. If we had been on a road trip, this would have ruined my engine NOPE June 25, 2015 the box didnt say filtech like the one in the ad and i didnt see an anti drainback valve so i returned them Not so good for Toyota 22RE 4cyl January 8, 2015 I put this on my 92 Toyota P/U 22RE 4cyl. Every morning it would crank over funny and take longer to start until the oil pressure came up. These engines have a timing chain tensioner that is activated by oil pressure, and you have to use a filter with an anti-drainback valve in it. I don't know if I got a defective oil filter or what, but when I went back to the fram filter this problem went away completely. | 2% Just like some of the other reviews July 11, 2017 Just like some of the other reviews, Amazon says this fits, and it does not! Thread size was off, put oil in the filter gave it a spin and nothing, that serves me right for not double checking, it's not very often Amazon is wrong, but it cost me time and money, and fuel to go get the right one!! spend $3 more get K&N June 7, 2017 ive cut open a few filters to find the best, the filter itself is cheap paper, Spend $3 more get K&N this will not fit a 2005 ford taurus 3.0 December 5, 2016 Motorcraft FL820S Silicone Valve Oil Filterthis will not fit a 2005 ford Taurus 3.0. Had to run out in the middle of the oil change to get a new filter. This does not fit a 2002 Ford Taurus, though ... October 6, 2016 This does not fit a 2002 Ford Taurus, though using the 'MY GARAGE' feature it says it does. Need to research the part at a NAPA/O'Reilly store or via Ford Motorcraft website then come back to Amazon and purchase the correct part - which is a FL400S oil filter. Amazon "Check Fit" says that it fits my 2004 Ford ... August 29, 2015 Amazon "Check Fit" says that it fits my 2004 Ford Taurus. It does not fit at all. My Ford Taurus is SE with OHV engine. FRAM HM3600 fits my car. |
