Five Star Reviews: | 88% one of the best filters on the market August 13, 2017 Wix make one of the best filters on the market. This is the only one I use anymore. Great parts make a great filter. August 4, 2017 Great filtration and fitment. Always works on my 5.9 magnum, and when I cut them apart the filtration is obviously working. The silicon anti-drainback valve doesn't break down like rubber. The bypass spring works the way it should, instead of being too weak to close. The outer casing can take a lot of abuse from doing offroad stuff and using a wrench on it when it's time to change.Wix is all I buy. Well worth a couple of extra bucks to protect my engines. Very good filter June 16, 2017 I'm very pleased with the performance of these filters. If you are questioning why one filter is better than another I would recommend a simple experiment. Grab a Wix filter and another filter from your favorite brand and cut open the filters to expose the internal components. I suspect you'll be surprised by the low quality materials in the other brands (not all but most others). Wix Oil Filter October 3, 2015 Brother-in-law said he used to work in a garage and they had a salesman come in and cut through all their filters and showed them what the difference is. He has been using this filter on is Ford F250 since 2003 and the truck has 380,000 miles on it with no engine problems. I convinced with the filter and oil changes is the reason. I started using this on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Best to buy on Amazon when they are on sale. Buy it. March 28, 2015 Wix filters are well made. They do just what theyre supposed to do, without any gimmicky nonsense features like some other brands try to sell. Just a no-frills, quality made filter, and i would reccomend it to anyone looking for the best oil filter for their money. Would't Trust Anything But a Wix January 16, 2014 I've been in the off road racing scene for 35 years and if your not running a high performance race filter (the kind you can take apart and inspect) then Wix is the next best thing. Over the years I've cut open many different brands of oil filters like Fram, etc... and those filters are junk compared to Wix. Like your engine? then I would use full synthetic oil and Wix filters.....easy. | 87% Better filters September 16, 2017 These filters extend the life of the oil much better than regular paper filters. I change my oil every 5000 to 7500 miles and oil still comes out clean enough to see light through. I am not an expert but, it does do a great job. Nice product. April 30, 2017 Use this engine oil filter with Mobil 1 engine oil for years, and still love it. I change my engine oil and filter for my 2013 Honda Crosstour V6 4WD every time once it hits the last 5% on the oil life detector system, don't really care how high the motor oil company promise the milage is. My engine works perfect and super quiet after 4 years. The build quality it great and for the price September 20, 2016 I have been using Mobil 1 synthetic oil along with this Extended Performance Oil Filter ever since I purchased my 2007 Nissan Xterra and I have no complaints. I usually only change my oil every 10,000 miles and have never had an issue with this filter. The build quality it great and for the price, this combing with Mobil 1 oil just cannot be beat. I know that I will be purchasing these filters for all of my future cars along with my wife's Rav4! Great Filter, Great Price! December 28, 2015 The Mobil 1 M1-110 Oil Filter is a good choice for someone looking for a premium filter. ChrisFix on YouTube did an excellent review of several filters even opening them up after use to check for quality before and after. The filter does exactly what it's supposed to do and I've never had any issues with them. Product used for a 2001 Civic as well as a 2010 Odyssey. As far as I know, all Honda's (and Acura's) use the same size filter, although you should double check before purchasing. Price on amazon for this filter is easily $4 cheaper than anywhere else I've looked. If you use the best , filter with the best !! September 1, 2015 Good quality filter . look like it will last a year. Since I have changed the break-in oil in my Honda Civic EX ( over 12 years ago ) I have always used Mobile 1. Then came the Extended Performance , so now I use that and the filter to match. Do the math people !! if you spend a few extra bucks up front , you really only have to change your oil once a year. My Civic runs like a top , and I am looking to get 12 more years out of her !! |
Four Star Reviews: | 10% Box showed up like it went to war (the oil filter box not ... March 7, 2016 Box showed up like it went to war (the oil filter box not the Amazon box). It was half torn open. But it was a new filter undamaged and worked as described. | 7% High quality oil filter from a trusted name January 12, 2016 I've used Mobil 1 oil filters for awhile now, and the quality of this one matches the rest. The shaped endcap makes it easy to install and remove later on. Grab the Cheaper of the Two November 26, 2015 I swap back and forth between this filter and the K&N equivalent, just grabbing whichever is cheaper at the time of need. Both have served my car as well as the OEM filters did. |
Three Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 2% its alright, but there is better options for the same price January 16, 2017 compared to a purolator boss (same price) it seemed much lighter a.k.a. mess media or material on the inside. Besides that it worked but didn't feel that sturdy compared to over filters. I expected a little more from mobile one especially for the price Average Filter March 5, 2016 It's an ok filter, there are better filters out there for less price. I gave this a try just to test it out but it's expensive. I would say NAPA filters performs just as well if not better for half the price. If you're just using your car for daily commute, I would stick to OEM filters. |

One Star Reviews: | 2% Oh hell April 16, 2013 Bought this filter as I'm broke and the Fram TG line which I've been using for the last 12 years without a single issue were a few $$$ more. The filter went right on - a little tight on the threads but not massively so. After I'd filled the motor with oil I started the engine. Something sounded very wrong almost immediately and I saw that oil was gushing from the filter and spraying all over the engine bay. I shut the motor off quick (it only ran for 7-8 secs) and spent 3 hours clearing up oil. Oil was all over the acc belt and all over the drivers side brake caliper and almost everywhere else. When i got the filter off and examined the thread there was a tiny imperfection in the filter thread which stopped it seating fully. So for trying to save myself $4 I actually ended up paying $30 for new brake pads, $40 for a new accessory belt, another $30 in oil and a Fram TG filter for $7 - Oh and about 5 hours of my time.So in trying this filter to save a couple of $$ it actually cost me over $100. Nice. | 3% I can't even to begin to describe how much I hate oil leaks September 13, 2017 I've used Mobil 1 filters on my vehicles for years. These are the first I've ever bought that began leaking on two different vehicles immediately following an oil change. I can't even to begin to describe how much I hate oil leaks. I know it was these filters as that was the only thing that changed on two different vehicles. One Star February 25, 2017 Waste of money, just buy original oem filters. They work better and cheaper. Check oil notification for no reason. February 7, 2017 I put one of these on my 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium and I got check oil messages. I'm not sure how or why, but when I used this filter, my forester would sporadically come up with a low oil level notification. After checking the oil, it was well within acceptable levels (btwn full and fill when warm, just below full when cold). The engine had 32kmi on it when I used this filter with Mobil1 0w-20. Never had the notification prior to, or after use of this filter. Back to Fram for me. Mobil 1 is not 1-a ZERO! March 17, 2016 I've been changing my oil for decades. After installing and adding mobil 1 oil as well, I started my engine for a minute or two. Just about all of the oil flowed onto the floor.I am not sure if the flow is restricted inside of the filter causing a pressure relief or just the gasket is faulty. Whatever the reason, I had to purchase new oil and filter again. But I used a reliable competitors filter. No issues after startup. counterfeit filter February 6, 2016 Update 7/19/2017- the last two filters I got are,in my opinion, counterfeit. I have 7 reasons why, but i wont disclose; i dont want to help make a better fake product. i have used this filter for 4 years and it just didn't look right when i unboxed it. the longer i looked at it, and the more i analysed it, the more convienced I am that i didnt get a real mobil filter. too many differences for mobil to change all at once, in my opinion. buyer beware! 5 stars down graded to one. Keeps my oil looking great in my 07 odyssey. i change at 7500 miles. i could probably push that out, but id rather not chance my engine. after all, oil isnt that expensive. |
